Ignore the "World's Best Beers" part of the title and everyone will be happier (since their personal favorites may or may not be included). Sticking with the subtitle, we have a description of 1000 craft brews from around the world. They're a well-chosen batch, with many obvious choices, but quite a few smaller bottlings that I had never heard of. And the "from cask to glass" part of the subtitle is on display as well, good information on brewing practices, odd bottles, and also on beer serving and good pairings of beer with food. In many ways, this is a beer version of a book that has been done a dozen times for wine, good wines (some common and some rare), with info on wine varieties, some info on wine making, and then pairing the wines to food. But for beer. Well-written and concise, it's less than 300 pages for 1000 beers. Not quite encyclopedic though.
