| Why Are Americans Sick? |

|
My book, entitled Why Are Americans Sick?, was written as a result of the incredible interest that came about during my five year graduate studies and internship. Never had I been able to appreciate the incredible comlpexity of human physiology and the body's need for balance, prior to studying to become a doctor. I now characterize the human body as a mass of organized chaos. Magnificent, the way the human body, when functioning at its optimal level, is able to coordinate thousands of biochemical processes in such a way that man is able to go about the business of functioning without notice of all that is taking place within. The ominous "flip side" to the above is the manifestation of lack of physiological harmony, in the form of pain and illness, when homeostatic imbalance occurs. Now, having taken a proactive approach to medicine, my aim is to educate those seeking answers concerning why America is one of the most unhealthy first world countries on Earth.
