This has been my 10 month old baby's favorite book for the past 2-3 months ever since he could use his hands and fingers to flip the pages. We read it to him a few times and then we noticed him making sounds in the same tones as we did when we would flip open something in the book. I would definitely recommend it

It an nice interactive book. My daughter got a Spot book for gift and loved it, so I wanted to try other from the series. I was disappointed with the size, since the other book was bigger.

This is my one year old daughter's favorite book. The flaps are easy to use and sturdy. It teaches terms like "under", "behind", "inside". But our favorite part is making the sounds that go with each animal depicted.

I started reading this book to my daughter since she was 2 months old. Now she is 10 months old and still not bored of this book. No other book has captured her attention as this one does. Now she loves to turn the pages and open the flaps.

(Hide Review...)  Good boy, Spot!

My 2-year old son Connor received Where's Spot for Christmas (thanks, Aunt Judy!) and it was love at first sight. I didn't think anything would be able to knock One Naked Baby from atop his "most requested" list, but this charming little book did the trick.

The book focuses on mama dog Sally's search for her wayward pup Spot, who is late for supper. Each page finds Sally in a different part of the house, and contains a lift-up flap that hides a different animal. The text is kept to a minimum (usually it's just "Is he under the bed, etc.?" followed by "No"), but it has a rhythm that really drew my son's interest and had him eagerly turning pages in the hopes of eventually finding Spot. The illustrations add to the book's charm. There are plenty of bright colors and the animals are just irresistible. I'm a confirmed cynic, but even I can't help but grin when Sally and Spot finally settle down for their dinner. My son's enthusiastic "Good boy, Spot" only makes that smile wider.

As simple as the book may seem, it does include plenty of learning opportunities, from identifying the various animals and colors to the household items and shapes. The repeated use of the word "No" also provides a simple example of how letters are combined to make a word.

This fun little book gets my highest recommendation, and more importantly it get's Connor's "Again, again!" seal of approval. It's a great addition to any toddler's library, and would make a great baby shower gift as well.

"Where's Spot" is a terrific read-along book. My son loves to lift each flap to look for Spot. Now that he know the book so well he makes the sound of each animail hiding, allowing for a secondary learning experience.

This has been a favorite book of all 3 of our kids. Throughout the book we are searching for Spot in different spaces in the house (Is Spot under the bed?? No. ) My kids have learned several animal noises and the word, "no" from the simple, sweet plot. Highly recommend for babies and toddlers.

When I read this book to my 16-month old twins they get so excited. Each page has a flap to lift while searching for "Spot." They can hardly contain themselves until they can lift the next flap. They fight over who gets to do it on each page. I highly recommend this book. One negative for me, after reading this book a few times, they really picked up on the word, NO. Then again, aren't all kids this age eventually going to learn that word?

My son just turned three and has LOVED this book for the last four months since we got it. He wants to read it all the time and practically has it memorized. He LOVES lifting the flaps to see who's underneath.

My 17 month old just loves this book. He loves lifting the flaps and seeing what animal appears. My only comment is I wished the flaps were made of a stronger, more durable paper. Overall a great book. It was recently listed in Parents magazine as "Our favorite baby books of all time."

My son learned how to say no by reading this book. You are looking for Sally's puppy Spot in this book. There are flaps to open and different animals to discover behind each flap. The book takes you through different parts of the house asking "Is Spot in here". You open the flap and say "No". It's so cute! Definitely a good book for your child.

Being an avid Spot fan for many years now I was eager to get my hands on Where's spot.

Unlike its predecessors I was bitterly dissapointed.

The plots were too simplistic, the characters as believable as England winning the Word cup this year.

The one thing that really made me cringe was the author's literary zest...or lack therof. It was as though this novel was written for children.

I found this book to be predictable, boring and condescending.

*sigh*

My 10-month-old really loves this book. He loves to turn the pages and open the flaps. After I read the book to him, he goes back through each page on his own, studying the pictures and trying to make the animal sounds (that I make when I read the book to him). He seems absolutely captivated by the story and pictures, and it is a joy to watch him with this book.

I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to inspire their child to have more interest in and excitement about books.
