I loved this book!! It was surprising and edge of your seat exciting. I was anxious about it because of how the third book ended with the desertion of her friends in the end. But I was glad that that part of the story was resolved quickly in the beginning of the book. It made me relax and enjoy the book even more. I can't wait until the fifth book comes out next year!!

to me this book was slower to read than the last 3. not to say i didnt like it, i did. But it felt like it should hae moved at a much faster pace.
Z finally started thinking about her choices and Aphrodite is more in this book, she is one of my fav characters, the girl you love to hate.
it's my favorite in the sense that Z is learning more and becoming her own person.
bt overall the book is great it has action and, even if Z should avoid it,love .

Love this book. This is the best book in the series. Zoey finally has all her friends back. So many unexpected twists and turns in this book. Plus it has it moments. The End of this book was magnificent and sets everything up for the next book. The Casts also have some pop culture references that most people know. Besides Nefret has developed into a great villaness and now theres a new bad guy. Even Aprohidite is being developed into a likable character. I want to read the next one.

When the Goddess Nyx marked Zoey Redbird she was moved to the House of Night School where as a fledgling vampire she studied what would happen to her including the changes to her body. She understands that some fail to make it through the change; as evident by her best friend Stevie dying in her arms. However, Stevie did not remain dead as the High priestess Neferet, who turned on Nyx and took the dark path, changed him into an Undead. With Zoey's help Stevie regained her humanity as did other fledglings.

With the death of two teachers, Neferat has declared war on the human race, but Zoey knows her for what she is and intends to stop her. She does not realize that Neferet has awakened an ancient evil; the fallen angel Kalona who will soon be freed once the ceremony is completed along with his children Ravenmockers. Zoey tries to prevent the ritual from succeeding knowing that if Kalona and his children walk the earth again, no one will survive who crosses the path they take even with the Gods on their side.

UNTAMED is the fourth House of Night urban fantasy (see CHOSEN) in which the forces of good an evil have come out into the open to battle for supremacy. Zoey is terrific as she prepares for war in which she feels inadequate but knows no other option except to fight as flight is impossible against this opponent. Zoey's powers grow and her confidence with that. Fans of the series will particularly relish this entry as the fledgling is beginning to take wing and soar, but her flight to join the fight is lethally dangerous.

Untamed is simply impossible to put down,I can easily say it's the best installment of the series.Great suspense, magical tales of the Native American people, friendship, romance, horror all in the same book.
But I have to state this,Untamed is not like the previous 3 books. It's so much darker, scarier, disturbing and better.I can't wait for Hunted in March!
I highly recommend this if you're one of the people recovering from the Breaking Dawn disaster :)

I didn't love Choosen and as a result began to worry for the future of the series, so it was with trepidation that I began Untamed. Happily my doubts were erased within the first page of the book, and I have to say that untamed is the best of the series so far. The book opens just days after the events of choosen and Zoey is facing the reprocussions of all the secrets she kept and the weight of her mistakes is heavey indeed. Zoey is walkimg around under a storm cloud of loneliness, guilt, and hurt but she has no idea how dark things are about to get. Aphrodite has lost her Mark but not her visions and she's seeing Zoey's death. A few versions of it actually, and the only way to avoid one of them is to make things right with the friends who aren't speaking to her,and just in case fixing her life and trying to change the future weren't enough to worry about. When in the grip of a terrible vision Aphrodite pens a prophacy in Zoey's Grandmother's hand writing that points to Neferet's unthinkable end game scheme. The campus is full of strange crows, the high priestess of all Vampyre high priestesses is currently in residence at the school, there's a new guy at the House of Night, and Eric's back and teaching Zoey's Drama class. Stevie Rae is leading the red fledglings with secrets of her own, and Zoey's made friends with an unusual Nun. Before it's over The House of Night will explode in fire death, and chaos, and Zoey will face the possibility of a truly crippling loss.
We see a much more mature Zoey in untamed, she's far more in control and willing to tap into her gifts and have faith in the outcome. Zoey refuses to be bullied and won't back down. The ladies Cast have crafted a serious page turner here, with a giant pay off and a mother of a cliffhanger I will defintely be be wating for Hunted in 09

I reccomend this book and the other 3 books from the house of night series. PC and Kristin Cast did such an amazing job. I'm 19 years old and I'm addicted this series. I love how you can relate to the characters in the book and the fact that Friendship plays a big part of the book. I'm excited to see whats in store for the next book :-) hopefully eric and z patch things up :-)

Zoey isn't having the best of weeks. All her friends are mad at her. They felt betrayed by the fact that Zoey was keeping secrets from them. They just didn't understand she was trying to keep them safe. She didn't have a boyfriend anymore. Last week, she had 3! But Loren Blake, the adult Vampyre Poet Laureate, seduced Zoey into thinking he was in love with her. Neferet, the evil High Priestess, had set up Zoey. And when she was with Loren, the imprint she had with her human boyfriend, Heath, was broken. In addition, Erik Night, the gorgeous fledgling that had just made his transformation to adult Vamp, walked in on them. Heath isn't speaking to Zoey and now, neither is Erik. This was all before Loren was killed in a bizarre ritual that was causing Neferet to wage a war against the humans. So, yes. Zoey's life sucks alot right now.

In addition to all that stress, Zoey is also dealing with the Stevie Rae/Aphrodite issue. By casting her circle for Stevie Rae, she is no longer undead, but has transformed into some kind of other vampyre. Her mark is now colored in just like the adult vamps, but it is red. But with Stevie Rae gaining her humanity back, it caused Aphrodite to lose her mark. Now she is no longer a vampyre, although only Zoey and Stevie Rae know. But she is still having visions. And now her visions include Zoey's death and an all out war between the vampyres and the humans. And it looks like it is up to Zoey to stop it.

Book 4 starts a few days after Book 3 ended. And it is way darker and more sinister than any of the preceding books. Zoey is way less whiny in this book. And it looks like she is stepping up her game. It's going to come down to a battle between good vs. evil, and Zoey is finally becoming the Priestess she was chosen to be. She has firmly taken control of who she is, and gathering around her those that want to fight the evil that has come to the House of Night.

PC and Kristin have certainly brought their A-game with Untamed. They wrote an excellent novel, which was an extremely fast read for me, because I just couldn't put it down! The series just keeps getting better and better. And I can't wait to see how things shake out in the next installment!!

The House of the Night series has been very exciting. From the go I have enjoyed Zoey and her many trials in becoming a Priestess for Nyx. For the fourth book in the series PC & Kristin Cast have defiantly up the ante. Neferet and Zoey are heading in a full frontal collision and the results are not going to be pretty. Not only that but Zoey has a lot of making up to do after the last book and if she doesn't, well, let's just say bad things are going to happen. It's not safe to be alone at the House of the Night and Zoey is going to need all the friends she can get. I love this series and I can't wait to see what is going to happen next. I do think it's something good though because the next book is in Hardcover and that hasn't happened before. Does this mean it's just more popular or is it the definitive book of the series. I can't wait to find out.

Erik is the new drama teacher temporary and a new boy comes into the house of the night!( and more) MUST READ! P C Cast and Kristin Cast have done it again!!! Can't wait for the next one!

Zoey Redbird just can't seem to get it right.

After losing three potential boyfriends, alienating her closest vampyre buddies, and incurring the wrath of her mentor, Neferet, Zoey is on a downward spiral to Loserville. This young high priestess-in-training has a lot on her plate since transferring to the House of Night. Her abilities are creating quite a stir on campus and Zoey is not used to having all the attention on her.

Since her recent admittance into the vampyre school, things have changed, and not for the better.

Professors are being murdered, fledglings are disappearing, and Neferet has declared war on all humans. Stevie Rae, Zoey's best friend, has been transformed into another type of vampyre, and Aphrodite, Zoey's one-time nemesis, has regained her humanity, but continues to have life-altering visions. Zoey must use all of her abilities to unite those who wish to save the House of Night and its loyal inhabitants.

The Cast duo has created yet another excellent addition to the HOUSE OF NIGHT series. It is easy to see why these novels have become so popular; the stories are well-written, and the dialogue is at times extremely clever and sometimes biting. Young adult readers can relate to the mundane, everyday-ness of Zoey's activities (i.e.going to class, having arguments with friends, etc.), while losing themselves in the otherworldly aspects of the students' lives.

This is a definite must-read for fans of the House of Night!

Untamed is the fourth book in the House of Night novels. P C Cast and her daughter once again pulled a magnificent story together of the life and destiny of a young fledgling vampyre. In this book Aphrodite is having bloody visions of Zoey's death and a great war between vampyres and humans. Zoey's friends must reconcile with her "omission of truth" or condemn her to a death without any allies.

Erik has become the new drama teacher since the death of their Professor in the last book. He still hasn't forgiven Zoey for cheating on him, and is still heartbroken. Heath, her once human familiar, is no longer her imprinted, and is also deeply hurt. Her one time lover is dead by human hands and everyone is looking at Zoey, including the High Priestess of all vampyres, an unexpected guest to the school. Zoey has to save the world and fight for the forces of good, prevent an old angel/demon from breaking free of his prison and protect her loved ones.

This book was an extremely quick read and I am pleased to say was deeper and grittier than the last three books. Zoey has finally drawn a line and is gathering her protectors/loved ones/vampyres to her like moths to flames. This is a definite addition to the series. The only bad thing I can say is that the newest novel, which will be released in March of 2009, will be released in hardcover.
