It was really fun and interesting reading and I'd suggest it for all Disney fans! I'd like to know how the writer knows all this stuff! It's amazing that he could gather all of this information. Very entertaining!

This book is a lot of fun, especially if you are about to take a trip to WDW. Lots of interesting information, but chopped up into small bites so it is easy to read a little at a time.

If you love Disney, this book is really fun. Even if you have read a lot of other books and websites about Disney, there will be things in the book that will suprise you. My husband and I found that there were lots of new things to learn. Reading the book was a fun way to add a new dimention to our disney travel. We bring it on the plane and read it to get us motivated for our next trip.

Mongello is a long time Disney World fan who has written a trivia book that will give the reader a lot of information that the typical guidebook will not. Of particualr interest to me was info on the age of some of the attractions as well as some history on popular attractions that are no longer a part of Disney World(such as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Mr. Toad;s Wild Ride, etc).
My only gripe with the book is with the way it's laid out. You'll read a question on one page then have to get the answer to that question 20 pages later. It's not the way one typically reads a book. Still a very good book- 4.5 Stars.

Without ruining the magic, Lou Mongello shows you some of the touches that makes Disney World special. Written in question form with mulitple guess answers, you read through and decide for yourself how observant you are...or not. The answers are in a separate part of the book with explainations of the correct answer.

It is hard to believe that there is no other Disney trivia book. If there is, they do not compare to this one. The book is well thought out, thorough, and fun to read. If you enjoy the Disney Magic or interested in trivia, this is the book for you.

I recommend the Walt Disney World Trivia Book for anyone who has ever enjoyed a visit there. Both casual fans and rabid WDWers can pick up this book and learn something new about the "Happiest Place on Earth". Lou Mongello, rather than doing a straight history of the place, tells the story of Walt's "Florida Project" through a series of trivia questions. The answers are where the detail is, and while it can be bit tiring to keep skipping between the question pages and the answer pages, the tidbits Mongello has dug up won't fail to fascinate. From the obvious (What is the height of Cinderella Castle?) to the obscure (What famous Presidential speech was given on WDW property?), the book should satisfy those who seek more information about what makes the busiest vacation destination in the USA tick.

If you haven't been to WDW but are planning to go, I recommend that you pick up the book for your return trip. The book is definitely not a travel guide, and can be confusing if you don't understand the WDW terminolgy.

This is a really cool book it has all kinds of facts that you mostly wouldn't hear about. Such as did you know that a retired Disney World monorail car was sold on e-bay. The first two resorts were the Polynesian and Contemporary resorts. It is a must have for anyone that loves Disney or wants to learn more about it. This is a great book if you want to know a little more about Walt Disney World! I finished it in a couple days! I'm gearing up for a trip to WDW. I can't wait for the sequal to come out(any day now!)

This book has all sorts of trivia points about Disney World, but they are all in a quiz format. Each chapter (broken out by theme parks and resorts) starts with about 100 multiple-choice questions, and then the answers follow in a sub-chapter. You can read just the answers, but the topic is not always clear without the context of the question (which is not re-stated for the answers). I would have preferred a simple listing of trivia items. The questions just add bulk to make the book seem bigger than it is. Next time, I'll just visit the numerous web sites that hold the same information.

This book is just such a fun read! Though I consider myself a bit of a Disney aficionado, I still learned a lot from some of the facts in the book.
The format is great -- not only is there a standard multiple choice format, but there are many answers that have thorough explanations and in-depth information about lesser known Disney trivia. Also, there's a good balance between the obvious and the obscure, allowing those with no Mickey knowledge and those with an endless supply to enjoy the book. There are questions that young ones can answer and others to keep parents interested.
I love that the book is broken into sections by 'genre' -- notably by park. I plan on taking it with me with two young cousins to help pass time in the queue, and to have questions relating directly to where they will be can help them visualize and look for specific aspects of the park.

This book is an absolute pleasure! I have been a Disney buff all of my life and have found that I remember small trivial things about everything Disney without thinking about it. This book encompasses a wealth of trivia on Walt Disney World. Many books of this genre regurgitate facts from sources in a very cut and dry manner, while Mr. Mongello has a wonderfully playful style of getting the reader involved by creating questions with multiple answers. His style and humor make this lighthearted informative tour of the parks a must read.

I suggest reading it in the car, plane or train as you head to your magical destination as well as a fun way to pass the evening after a fun day at the parks.

Have to keep in mind that this is not a travel book, this is a trivia book but it is a great book. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to know more about Walt Disney World. I loved reading this book and felt like I had more knowlegde than the average visitor to Walt Disney World. I think it's great regardless of if you're plan a trip there or not.

You would never believe the fun we have had with this book. We started reading it when we boarded the plane and by the time we got to Orlando from DFW, we had our whole section involved in "Lou's Trivia Game". Great fun and the book never gets old as we can't remember all of the questions. I highly recommend the book for every Disney Fan in the "World".

Excellent book, wonderful information. I am very well read on the topic and there were so many questions I did not know. Great source of information, fun to flip back and forth. I shared this read with family members reading the questions and they tried to guess the answers. Great for your car trip on the way to the park. Highly recommend!

Being a die-hard Disney fan, I somewhat big-headedly thought I knew a lot of the 'behind the scenes' info and Disney details that are the stuff of legend in the Parks. Thank you Lou for proving me wrong! This excellent book is to be devoured by Disney fans who have even the slightest bit of interest in the Parks.

The facts and figures contained in the book are fun, eye-opening and even occasionally thought provoking. And these aren't just snippets of 'trivial' facts and figures; Lou gives the facts, but then delves into the detail behind each one to explain more about the fact in question, drawing the reader in and giving a more rounded picture.

The book is presented as a series of chapters (primarily one for each park). Each chapter has a hundred or so multiple choice questions based on the park, and at the end of the chapter the answers are provided. Sometimes the answers can go to several paragraphs as Lou provides more detail and background.

I did not find this format of the book annoying; I think if the tivia had just been presented in a straight prose format then it would quickly become tedious to wade through; too much info at once! Plus I dont think that the kind of information provided here would lend itself to that 'novel' style of presentation...the question/answer format used is ideal as it breaks the info down into bitesize chunks which are more easily digested (and remembered!)

All in all I am finding the book well written and presented, and ideal for a Disney info addict such as myself. Would suit a Disney fan of any age; from big kids such as myself (no, I wont divulge my age!) to small kids who will be gob-smacked by the size of some of those numbers! Would be great for long car/plane/train/monorail journeys too. And it's not just a simple source of trivia; I see the information contained in this book as being a great help in planning my visits to the park, spotting things I hadn't noticed were there before, knowing the background to a ride, things to try, etc).

Highly recommended, and a necessary tool in any Disney Park fans' toolbox. Can't wait for the summer when Volume 2 is released.

First of all, wow! I LOVED this book. I am SOOOOO hooked on it! I started reading it at 10:30 pm the day I got it, and finished at 5:30 am the very next day!!! That's how hooked I was! I just loved the WDW Trivia book by Louis Mongello. I've read several books about WDW, but never one with this much background information. All of this new knowledge will be great on my next trip to WDW in April. I'd recommend this book to everyone!

I think I would have prefered the information given to me straight instead of a quiz-show format. The flipping back and forth for answers was time consuming.

However, we loved reading the book and found it very enjoyable.

this book really makes a person wonder how one person could possibly compile so much information about this modern American marvel. it presents the trivia in way that is fun by yourself, and also fun to play with others.

the main thing I really liked about it is that the book presents the info in way that doesn't ruin the magic for anyone, either first-times, no-timers, or seasoned WDW vets.

I love trivia about Walt Disney World, especially since I live nearby and visit often. I've read other Disney trivia books over the years, and I believe Mr. Mongello's book is the very best WDW trivia book available. Novice WDW fans can really have fun with this book. For people who love to learn about history or just random facts of the places they know this is the book for you. Many times my father and I (we both read the book) would sit there and throw facts back and forth. Makes us remember the many times we have been to disney world.

The only problem I had with the book (that is a VERY SLIGHT problem). Some questions are repeated in different ways though out the book. That problem would not stop me from buying this book again.

This book is the quintessential Disney fact book! I absolutely love it! It is the type of book that you can pick up briefly and "thumb through it".
Oh and by the way, the information is not just boring facts listed on a page, the facts are in a multiple choice format-we read it in the car and make it a "Quiz Show" type game with the kids-they love it!

I got the book before my last trip and I fell in love with it. Within a day I had post-its all through it or things I wanted to check out on my next trip to Walt Disney World. At first this book was hard to read because it was in a question and answer form. As time went by, I found that I liked The Walt Disney World Trivia Book that way. It tests you on what you know and what you do not know about Disney World. I also found that the book can make long trips more fun by testing people on what they know.

excellent book for all Disney fans and trivia buffs. i was a little taken by the format, multiple choice questions then answers and explanations after each chapter, but puts a fun little twist instead of just drilling you with endless facts. very fun book, and i can't wait for the next trip to Disney to impress people with my knowledge thanks to Lou!

An outstanding addition to any WDW library.
