Book is an overview of various treatment methods and the authors sucess with some of them. It is not a how to treat yourself book. He is encouraging you to buy his rife machine book as he is not repeating the info in it in this book.

Don't waste your money. Buy the Lyme Disease Solution instead. This guy is a bit "out there" and it really didn't help me. Or Healing Lyme Disease is much better too.

The author seems blunt about being a non-health worker. His clear goal is to mine the field for ideas. Perhaps because he sees folks SICK for 2, 5, 10 and 15 years with the so called experts!
Some ideas are likely wrong, some have potential and others may have merit. (Review Data Last Updated: 2008-10-11 01:28:19 EST)

I have just received my copies of; The top Ten Lyme Disease Treatments, Lyme and Rife Machines and the 2008 Lyme Disease Annual Report and as an artist the first thing I noticed is that they are all attractive books with high gloss covers and attractive cover design. Ok, the giant tick on the 2008 Lyme Disease Annual Report is kind of creepy and made me itch all over just looking at it but it is still an attractive cover and one can't argue it appropriateness. I especially like the navigational theme of the compass and the silhouette of the hiker looking up towards the rising (or setting) sun, on the cover of The Top 10 Lyme Disease Treatments. Lyme Disease and Rife Machines size and cover design had more of a textbook or workbook feel to it which also seemed appropriate to me considering it's technical subject matter.
The second thing I noticed was the long list of well known and highly respected names in the Lyme world that graced the covers, forwards and inner pages of Bryan's books. Names like James Schaller M.D., Sue Vogan the host of "In short order" radio program, Ginger Savely FNP-C (whom I have had the pleasure of briefly cyber chatting with), Tami Duncan from LIA, Susan Williams Public Health Alert contributor and VP of TXLAD, Richard Loyd, PhD an electrotherapeutic device expert. The pages of Bryan's books are filled with ground breaking discoveries from the top minds in the Lyme disease world. The third thing I noticed was the large print, which will be a Godsend for those Neuro -Lyme sufferers whose vision has been affected and for those that have trouble reading because of other Lyme issues. If you or someone you know has advanced Lyme disease and are looking for a supplement to your current treatment protocol or especially if you are looking for alternative treatment options then Bryan's books are well worth reading. The book could have been written on half the paper. It is somewhat helpful, but extremely repetitive. Less words and more information would have been appreciated.

Having Lyme for many years I did not appreciate this book. As a matter of fact some of this author's ideas do not match that of my very competent LLMD. On page 81 he discusses cell wall inhibitors and says they are never indicated for lyme and should be avoided. And he also brings in that Trevor Marshall, PhD (Marshall Protocol) says we should avoid them. The problem is that this isn't true in all cases. My LLMD (Lyme Literate Medical Dr.) did not agree with this when I questioned him about it. (And we have had lyme for 10 years, not acute.) In our family we have used 2 of the cell wall inhibitors that he says should be avoided and have had tremendous success with them. We just follow the treatment with cyst antibiotics. The good thing is the author admits his position is investigational and open for debate. The problem is that lyme sufferers already are grasping for help and newly diagnosed patients may not be open to these drugs after reading this. Also I believe most of the info in this book can be found on the internet or better yet with an appointment with a great lyme doctor. I personally felt this was a waste of my money.

I have read extensively on the subject of Lyme disease as both my wife and I have been struggling with it. This is by far the best, most useful book I have read thusfar.

Any book is good that tells this is a severe and choronic real disease, I treated for 2 months massive abx of all sorts...and in live blood microscopy we found sticks STILL in a drop of my blood AND some crawled out the next morning after the red blood cells died off. They CAN hide in blood cells...that PROVES this. Our govt is bought out. Dont trust ANYTHING ANYMORE nothing nothing nothing.

Bryan Rosner's The Top Ten Lyme Disease Treatments is my new favorite book to recommend on the topic of Lyme recovery.
As a recovered Lyme sufferer himself, Bryan speaks with both compassion and authority to those seeking release from a lifetime of suffering and endless medical interventions after their unfortunate encounter with a Lyme-carrying tick. As he does in his first book, Lyme Disease and Rife Machines, Rosner warns the reader that no credible and effective Lyme treatment will be short-lived, since recovery is based on eradicating a bacteria which lives and dies on its own slow pace. As another Lyme patient remarked to me, Rosner is very even-handed in his evaluations of the pros and cons of each of the ten remedies he suggests. Again, he does not promise a quick or simple recovery process, nor does he obscure the potential dangers and side effects of the suggested treatments. In both his quality writing and especially his objectivity, he is a credit to his chosen profession or journalism. Buy Bryan Rosner's The Top Ten Lyme Disease Treatments and educate yourself about both the difficulties of treatment and the very real prospect of recovery IF you can find the right mix of antimicrobial and supportive treatments that work for you. At the bare minimum, reading this book will give doctors, patients, and concerned citizens a quality and easy-to-understand "crash course" on the most promising and best-proven treatments for Lyme which are being discussed in the Lyme community today! I purchased this book because my Dr. recommended it. I also purchased another book from a different author about healing lyme disease. I wanted to compare the effectiveness of the two different approaches, so I put my children on Rosner's recommendations and put myself and my spouse on the other protocol. After three months we all went in to have our cd-57s re-checked. One child's cd-57 barely increased while the other one's cd-57 went down. Mine and my spouse's cd-57 counts have doubled and tripled, respectively.
In light of this, I have switched my children off of Rosner's top 10 treatments and on to the protocol that my spouse and I are using. On a positive note, I will say that my children's general immune systems seemed to be stronger on Rosner's recommended supplements than before; they have more resistance to illnesses that are common to school-age children. I am a preventive medicine specialist and do not actively treat Lyme Disease with antibiotics, but I definitely end up diagnosing this condition in many people who come to me with a wide variety of chronic, multi-system complaints. I refer out to LLD's, and help patients keep their hormones, adrenal function and toxicity clearance in stable condition while they pursue treatment. I watch them, as some get better, but many also get worse. For those who feel as Bryan Rosner felt, after consulting a multitude of physicians and paying thousands of dollars for the very latest treatments, that you are not better and you are "on your own", get this book. Chronic Lyme disease sufferers are often on their own, with not even the enlightened health care practitioner to turn to, if antibiotics fail to heal them. Mr. Rosner, a journalist, a Lyme disease sufferer and a very intelligent man, found himself on his own in this way and began a journey to recovery that he shared with many thousands of others, trying to heal from Lyme disease using alternative, often unusual techniques. He is careful to tell us when he is simply offerring an opintion (such as with his use of the Marshall protocol), and to tell us that he is not a healthcare practitioner but he has worked hard to get a concensus view from hundreds if not thousands of people who are trying alternative treatments with success. He tells us about the war-like controversies among the medical professionals about how to treat this condition, and aptly points out that even the most enlightened of these does not guarantee a cure for people who have suffered with the condition for many years, especially if they have severe adverse reactions to antibiotics. I deeply appreciate this survey of what is working for people who have not gotten help from antibiotics alone or herbs alone. We desparately need such dialogue. The book is cogently written, easy to follow, very well organized and thorough. These treatments may or may not work for you if you have Lyme Disease, but you will have gained a good deal of insight and knowledge about the disease and about what many other people are doing to get well. The bottom line is that it is up to you, and if you find yourself abandoned by medicine or unable to tolerate antibiotic treatment, this book is definitely worth the read.

I found this book to be well-written, well-researched, and very informative. As a chronic lyme sufferer, I have been frustrated by the lack of knowledge available--even among medical professionals--regarding this disease. I appreciated the fact that Rosner, though not a medical doctor himself, worked with many physicians in the writing of this book as well as explored world-wide valid clinical research of treatments to back the data he wrote about. He presents many options that may be of help to those sufferring with this difficult disease.

This book has helped me more than this mere review can say! Excellently written, it helps the lay person to understand what they themselves can do regarding Lyme Disease and Tick borne illnesses. If you or someone you love has Lyme, then this is one book you absolutely should NOT be without! You will definately refer to it again and again!

Bryan Rosner has done it again! As with the rife book, he has brought to the Lyme community useful techniques, many of which, are not well known to main stream America. This information may mean the difference between feeling better, leading a productive life or leading a life of Lyme misery full of mind-numbing fatigue and pain.
Some of this information has taken years of trial & error by Lyme folks to find out what is helpful. This book allows you to leapfrog all that and start using right away what has proved significant. If you are looking for a reference with every statement footnoted and cross-referenced.... a reference with every technique having a double blind study, then this book is not for you. Much of that information you are looking for, particularly the double blind technique trials does not exist. But if you are looking for cutting edge, practical information for Lyme, then buy this book, I think you'll find it worth your time. Do these techniques work? All I can say is that on antibiotics alone, I was feeing better, but still struggled with work. Since minimizing antibiotic use over 5 years ago, and focusing on many of the techniques mentioned in this book; I am feeling much better. 2 years ago I climbed Mt. Rainier in Washington and last Christmas, I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa. I recommend this book. Thanks Bryan Rosner for putting this information in print, so we don't have to hunt it down anymore!! (Review Data Last Updated: 2007-11-01 00:58:24 EST)

The Top Ten Lyme Disease Treatments Chronic Lyme patients are unique. Usually it is not just the Lyme spirochete they are left to deal with but those who are chronically ill often harbor several, if not many pathogens. This creates a situation where symptoms can affect every part of the body and there is no way to be sure which pathogen is causing what symptom. With the many allopathic and natural treatments we are bombarded with, especially for Lyme patients with cognitive problems, it is difficult to effectively decide where to begin. What treatments are most effective? How should they be combined? What are our most affordable options, where we as patients have more control? Many times I have just thrown up my hands in defeat and decided not to deal with any of these questions. Because antibiotics alone seemed to be working for me, the rest was just too complicated to sort out. However, at some point we may not have access to antibiotics for the use with chronic Lyme. Another consideration is that antibiotics don't always remain effective forever, and for some people they just don't seem to work. These drugs can also build up in your system and cause toxic side effects. This is where Bryan Rosner's book "The Ten Top Lyme Disease Treatments" comes into play. The author has created a practical resource that is organized and easy to understand and implement. Being a Lyme patient himself, he has done much research and experimentation. He offers information gleaned from his experience and the experience of others. Antibiotics alone have not been the complete answer for curing or effectively controlling Lyme disease. Most people will come to the same conclusion concerning natural treatments. The Lyme disease germ (borrelia burgdorferi) is a very smart bug, is able to evade the immune system, antibiotics and current available testing. Bryan Rosner's solution is to offer us valuable information concerning both allopathic and natural medicine and how to use them together to form a comprehensive treatment plan. He emphasizes 5 core treatment protocols and other supportive treatments. He suggests that antibiotics be rotated and used for fairly short periods of time. The author warns us that treating Lyme disease and the co-infections is more of a marathon event as opposed to a sprint. If we approach the treatment of Lyme with this in mind, it will help us to avoid discouragement. On page 293 of Rosner's book he says, " Because Lyme disease is caused by a bacterial infection, the core of a Lyme disease treatment protocol is comprised of antibacterial therapies. The most effective antibacterial therapies are pharmaceutical and non pharmaceutical antibiotics, the Marshall Protocol, and Rife Machine therapy. At all times during the recovery process, at least one of these three therapies should be in use." Bryan believes that Rife machine therapy should be the foundation of an antibacterial treatment and tells us why. He discusses the Rife Machine in this book but for those who want a more comprehensive understanding of this type of electromedicine, one should read his first book "Lyme Disease and Rife Machines." The book stresses that we need to strengthen the immune system through diet, eliminating exposures to toxic and allergic substances, detoxification, electromedicine and herbs. He also points out that there is no magic remedy and that patients must become proactive and take the time to adjust their priorities. Rosner does an excellent job making sure the patient understands what can and cannot be expected from the various holistic and allopathic treatments. Many of us are aware of the raging Lyme wars (disagreement on the testing and treatment of Lyme disease) that are keeping patients from getting proper treatment. Here is what Rosner has to say about that. "The debate has recently reached a boiling point, involving the passions, fears, biases, personal experiences --- and let us not forget, financial interests --- of those involved. Amidst the inferno, it has been largely forgotten that the goal of health care is not to establish exclusive, single-minded medical truths, but instead, to utilize all available medical treatments that cure disease --- regardless of which paradigm they belong to." There is so much practical information and so many helpful resources listed in this book that I could go on and on but I am sure you would rather read the book. I highly recommend "The Top Ten Lyme Disease Treatments " to anyone who wants to better understand the realities of treating Lyme disease and what it takes to get well. This is an excellent book and I would recommend it to anyone who has Lyme. I do not know Bryan Rosner personally but was part of a national teleconference and Bryan was the speaker. He has suffered immensely with this disease, and really wants to help fellow sufferers, in my opinion. This book synopsizes all the latest Lyme therapies. The book is easy to understand and Bryan has done an excellent job in sharing all that he has learned in his journey with Lyme. Well done, Bryan!

I consider this book a God-send. It is concise, well-organized, and thorough; no fluff, but well-stocked with the details you need to wage war with Lyme intelligently. It takes the reader all the way from understanding the big picture down to the brass tacks of where to find particular supplements and what websites to visit for more information. It is written by and for someone in the trenches and leaves one feeling competent to fight the fight. Best wishes to anyone needing this book. I think that you will be glad you purchased this one.

Dear Mr. Rosner,
Thank you so much for the wonderful book you recently published on Lyme Disease entitled "The Top 10 Lyme Disease Treatments". I was wavering on the edge of insanity, not only from the effects of the Lyme Disease I have, but because of the multitude of confusing choices and conflicting information I have been getting. Obviously, your brain is working well (again?) as your straightforward and succint style of writing shows, AND that is some of the main proof that you know what you are talking about, because you are ABLE to write this book!!! I haven't finished it yet, but even the few chapters I have read are very encouraging and lend evidence to my suspicions about long term antibiotic treatment. Thanks for helping me to go from hopeless to hopeful in 0 to 60. A huge hug, Hilary Macatangay (Review Data Last Updated: 2007-07-10 10:13:42 EST)

I am a Lyme patient and Lyme educator in Georgia. In reading Rosner's book there were some problems that caused me to question its validity. Before writing this review I consulted with a couple of experienced Lyme doctors (ILADS members). Before my thoughts, let me say that I will give the book 2 stars because it is well-written and easy to read.
The first problem is that Mr. Rosner is not a medical practitioner. The medical practitioner whom I personally see and the other one whom I discussed this with both agree that most of those "top 10" were in fact not particularly effective in their population of Lyme patients - except for antibiotics (not necessarily Rosner's suggestions however). Both said that probably the main reason that chronic Lyme patients don't get well is that co-infections are not properly diagnosed and aggressively treated. (That was my case with "chronic Lyme" that turned out to be Babesia). The next comment was about the claim that the Marshall protocol is somehow a wonderful treatment. Both thought that it was potentially very dangerous to induce a Vitamin D deficiency is a person. Very few credible Lyme docs still promote the Marshall protocol. In fact, Dr. Klinghardt (recognized expert) from the West Coast used to promote it and now says that his results have been very disappointing. Both my docs said that they would avoid it, and that the people who did manage to improve on it probably did so because of the use of low dose antibiotics. Finally, both my docs chuckled when they learned that Mangosteen was one of the top 10 Lyme treatments. (One of them had never heard of it and the other said that it didn't help anyone except one person's sleep problem.) Seems like someone is pushing a specific product for a reason. (I'll leave it at that.) Apparently, there are a lot of useful "natural" substances that should have made the list before Mangosteen. In summary, while there is some good information in the book, overall I would not recommend it to serious students of Lyme disease. (Review Data Last Updated: 2007-07-10 10:13:42 EST)

When you are sick with lyme disease, there is a desperation that takes over...Why do I feel so horrible? Who can help me? Why don't physicians care about this illness?
You become the victim of a terrible "perfect storm" where a painful, devastating illness crosses paths with ignorance, arrogance and political corruption. Bryan's book gets you out of the victim role and back into the driver's seat. He acknowledges that there is no easy way to beat chronic lyme but offers up the major "known" therapies-both eastern and western approaches and brings them together in one place. Like anything I read about lyme treatments, I take his advice with a grain of salt (and vit c)...but it is another book to put on your lyme reference shelf (and we all have plenty of room on that shelf.) Since reading the book I have gotten myself to a naturopathic physician to begin taking a more serious approach to my "total" treatment, depending less on antibiotics and doctors and more on creating the healthiest body I can for the long long battle ahead. Thanks Bryan! (Review Data Last Updated: 2007-07-10 10:13:42 EST)

The book is excellent Bryan, for sufferer and for therapist. A lot of hard work has gone into that.
I for one am most grateful. You could have said more of course about various therapies you bring up in particular herbal therapies like the ones Stephen Harrod Buhner suggests in his book "Healing Lyme". Studies concerning Chinese herbal therapies would be interesting and there are of course far more therapies that can be extremely supportive. Traditional Acupuncture, Scenar therapy, Low Level Laser and other forms of light therapy to name only a few. But I fully realise that you would have to write at least ten books to address all that and my remark is not meant as a criticism. Your book is the best single book on Lyme I have seen. A great addition to your "Lyme Disease and Rife Machines". The two touch the core of the issues. Both are a must for everyone interested in my opinion. So thank you. how in the world are you going to charge sick and dying people who are already crippled financially $46 for a short book. even $34 is way too much. look at buhners book. its $13, and this guy is much more of an alternative health practitioner. im not saying that some of the information is not valid. ive gotten tremendous help from natural salt and c. there is good information in these books, but its sick to see it being restricted to those who cant keep up with the greed factor. besides, all this information is just coming from the net. ive found these things on my own. maybe i can find a used copy of this for cheap to skim through. or something.

I really appreciate this book. I have been telling everybody I know with Lyme disease about it. I wish I could buy copies for so many people, esp my family (many of us have chronic Lyme). It is so great having all of that wonderful info in one place! This book is easy to understand and I found it hard to put down. I, also, ordered the Lyme/Rife book.

As a Lyme sufferer, I am very impressed with Rosner's second book. This book is a perfect compliment to his first book on treating Lyme using Rife, which I found instrumental in my ongoing battle at beating Lyme. This new book fully describes several of the topics just briefly touched-upon in the first book and contains several other new, complementary treatments from traditional and alternative medicine. Then it describes how to use these treatments together with Rife in a more effective way than if they were used separately. Furthermore, Rosner, a Lyme sufferer himself, frankly discusses the many difficult medical and political issues with today's Lyme disease treatments and why other treatment paths are needed. This book opens up several more treatment options for those suffering with chronic Lyme disease--I look forward to trying these new options to help finish off my war with Lyme. This book is a must read for all those struggling with Lyme disease and for the doctors treating them.

My LLMD and naturopath were concerned about this book and asked me to share these ideas here because it looks like everyone just goes along that this book is terrific. They say this is not so, and so do other patients and doctors. They were really upset that someone could write a book and declare 10 Best Treatments with no real authority or OK by the LL doctors and that gives the impression that these are treatments used by good LLMDs and good alternative doctors. It makes them all look weird and it is hard enough to get help for patients doing the smart things they do. They had many concerns because all they see is people saying this book is great and that is not so but no one says anything because they feel they will be attacked. I can only have room for a few.
These 5 core treatments that even include the author's way of how to take antibiotics is his only and does not reflect what LL doctors want their patients to do. The book really pushes Rifing as the basic core treatment even with antibiotics, something that only a very small group of people follow. The author makes it sound like it is an accepted practice or should be. The title of the book misleads you. The basic therapies have been pushed on the internet a lot , and potential harm can come from these things to patient health and finances and delay in getting real help. Taking salt at high doses can be harmful as can like the silver therapy and herbs are very potent and must be used very very carefully. He pushes mangosteen, an overpriced fruit juice, that has all sorts of cure claims all over the internet so that the FDA even had to step in. My naturopath said that this is what gives his profession and other alternative professionals a bad name. He said you can't just take supplements and herbs from some book or the internet because they can hurt you like regular medicine. The author says to use trial and error with these things and my doctors say they have a hard time sorting out what is going on when their patients are sicker from they don't know what. The therapies are not backed by good evidence as is said all over the place. He just leads you in to feel it is OK to do this and that, but don't blame him if it doesn't work. The doctors know that patients get desperate for help and when they read books like this or see all sorts of fringe stuff on the internet that is Okayed by other people, they want to try it. Too often they get in much worse shape. I know as a Lyme patient how this feels, and I also am ashamed to say that I have been sucked in to trying a few useless protocols and a number of ones that hurt me. I have had Lyme disease for half of my life. I really appreciate the open-mindedness in this book, and I find it very refreshing! Alternatives to antibiotics are very important to research and investigate. Bryan Rosner does a great job of showing us his first hand experience with these alternatives to traditional Lyme disease treatment. More doctors should be as thorough and open-minded as Mr. Rosner, and research all aspects of such a complex illness. There are many pieces that you need to solve the Lyme disease treatment puzzle, and this book does a good job of investigating them. Well done, and thank you!

I have read many books on Lyme disease, and this one ranks right up there with the best of them.
The book is clear, concise and well-researched. Having battled Lyme himself, B. Rosner offers comprehensive information on the illness and how to treat it. He has cited studies from around the world to substantiate his claims, which lends greater validity to the perspectives he offers. Fascinating information is found in this book which I haven't seen in any other book out there on Lyme, including: the use of mangosteen as an anti-bacterial; lithium orotate as a detoxifying agent for the brain; COQ-10 for symptom amelioration; saunas as an important detox adjunct; and, perhaps most importantly, how to combine Rife therapy with antibiotics, and how to build an effective antibiotic rotation protocol. He has consulted some of the nation's top Lyme physicians in his research, and offers refreshing, well-educated insights on how to treat this elusive, difficult-to-treat illness. As a fellow Lyme disease sufferer, I benefited greatly from Rosner's first book and feel that I will benefit also from this one. All of the therapies Rosner mentions are important and effective for combatting Lyme, and he addreses not only the infections but also how to care for the body at the same time through detoxification and building a sound treatment plan. Information on heavy metal chelation is included in the chapter on detoxification. For those who are just learning about Lyme, the section discussing what to expect along the healing journey is invaluable. I would like to have seen more information in this book regarding the use of herbs and homeopathy for treating Lyme, as these have proven to be invaluable for many, as has PCA-rx, an effective heavy metal chelation protocol. However, I realize that it's unrealistic to expect any one author to include ALL available treatment options for Lyme in one book. Thus, I heartily recommend B. Rosner's book for anyone wanting a fresh, educated perspective on how to treat Lyme disease. [...] (Review Data Last Updated: 2007-04-19 01:02:54 EST)

Lyme Disease is, by far, the toughest infection to treat, and with over 200,000 new Lyme Disease infections per year in the United States alone, everyone should have Bryan Rosner's books in their library. Bryan Rosner is a "Lyme Disease Pioneer". He shares with us his own personal battle fighting this insidious disease. And, as a result of his years of research and finally winning the battle, he refused to leave those of us(still suffering with Lyme Disease) behind! As a Chronic Lyme Disease sufferer myself, I was extremely fortunate to purchase Bryan Rosner's first groundbreaking book, "When Antibiotics fail..Lyme Disease and Rife Machines". And, now he's provided us with a profoundly vital second book, "The Top 10 Lyme Disease Treatments". This book provides you with thorough and insightful, easy to follow treatment protocols to reclaim your life back! As a Lyme Disease Advocate, Bryan Rosner's books are the only one's I feel fully confident recommending.

Bryan Rosner has written two well researched and easy-to-read books, both for people with Lyme and for the health care professionals who treat them--The Top 10 Lyme Disease Treatments and When Antibiotics Fail: Lyme Disease and Rife Machines. Lyme disease is a difficult and debilitating condition that most often defies the best of what allopathic (Western) medicine has to offer. However, Mr. Rosner has offered us a variety of non-invasive, holistic, cutting edge methods, sometimes to be used in conjunction with more conventional therapies. Rosner explains what works, why it works, how it works, and why it may not work. I consider both of these books indispensable. They belong in the library of anyone who is seriously investigating this disease.
