THE NEW TEMPLE AND THE SECOND COMING is another fascinating work by Grant Jeffrey describing prophetic events of the last days and illuminating where we are along that time line. The New Temple discusses the last days prophecies concerning the Ark of the Covenant, location of the first and second temples, the temple treasures, and the coming Messiah.
Many have thought that the old Temple(s) are beneath the Muslim shrine, Dome of the Rock: and the Muslims haven't been very cooperative with either Christians or Jews about excavating the remains beneath the building. As it turns out, according to Grant's research, the original site lies 150 yards north of the Dome, safely in Israeli hands. He also explores several theories, myths and legends about lost instruments of worship, sacred treasures and the missing Ark of the Covenant. Grant Jeffrey is no stranger to this topic having written more than eight books about the Second Coming and the events leading up to that event, the hope of the church. The New Temple is a quick read which Christians, Jews, and other interested people will find fascinating. (Review Data Last Updated: 2008-07-05 06:29:47 EST)

I actually got this book first in our library. It so blew me away that I had to buy a copy to share with friends. This book tells you all the preprations that the Jews are doing in Israel that you would never hear from the media!Ancient temple relics are be found, new priest garments are being made, a breed of red cattle are being raised for the sacrafices, and on and on.The most startling is that the foundation stones from Solomon's Temple have been located under the temple mount and they are not even close to the Islamic temple ! That means they will not have to destroy that to build the third temple! Pictures and drawing help with the discription as well. I highly recommend this book !!!

...the first book I began reading and did not put down until I finished it since "The Power of the Blood" by Whyte. This book takes you to a place when the temple was still alive. It provides just what some may need to have a clearer picture of the relevancy of "now" in relationship to end-time events. Grant helps us to make sense of it all...

The New Temple and the Second Coming
Grant R. Jeffrey ISBN: 978-1-4000-7107-4 WaterBrook Press., 2007 Reviewed by Debra Gaynor for ReviewYourBook.com Prophecy being fulfilled... 5 Stars Christians have long awaited the return of Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior. The Bible is filled with prophecy hinting at when that momentous event will take place. Christians have the reassurance that there is no need to fear the second coming; instead we are to rejoice and be filled with gladness. One aspect of the prophecy deals with the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem. A plan to rebuild the temple is well under way. Scripture tells us that God commanded a sanctuary be built. King David gathered the materials for the temple and his son King Solomon built the temple. The temple was designed by God himself. The Babylonians destroyed the temple in 586 B.C. End times prophecy has baffled many. Grant R. Jeffrey takes a difficult subject and makes it understandable. He uses scripture and archeological finds to support his interpretation. The last section of The New Temple and the Second Coming is dedicated to preparing for the return of Christ. He discusses the Antichrist and the tribulation. The New Temple and the Second Coming is a testimony to Jeffrey's faith. Jeffrey is an establish author and has his own TV show. He brings immense knowledge to his topic. Everyone interested in the end time--Second Coming of Christ-- will want to read The New Temple and the Second Coming. (Review Data Last Updated: 2008-01-20 06:43:06 EST)

Mr. Jeffries has some interesting ideas... but they are strictly that, ideas. His cited sources are all more than 20 years old (of course, dealing with the subject matter, that could be understandable). Many times, his sources are unnamed friends of his or statements like "I have heard...". If this were a highschool research paper, I could give it a B-
HOWEVER, when Mr. Jeffries uses verifiable sources, his work is quite good. His timelines are understandable and seem reasonable. Take this book for what it's worth... not completely factual but not without some interesting tidbits. (Review Data Last Updated: 2008-01-04 06:32:26 EST)

Mr. Jeffrey's sources are credible and his diligence in providing the references in his latest book, "The New Temple and The Second Coming", has truly paid off. I am appreciative of his fine work. Thank you very much, Mr. Jeffrey. The ancient prophecies of over 3000 years, in combination of today's historical events all ties in (truly) to His second return. We are speaking of the Lord of lords, King of kings ... and His Glorious Name will be once again printed in huge large letters for all to see (Ezekiel 39, verses 21,22). Look out, Mr. Jeffrey has completed his task to educate those who are not certain, unsure, and to those who already knows.
This is a must have book! And it is published just in time for all of us to read it as tomorrow (11/27/2007, Tuesday), and the days to follow, begins the blood-oath signatories of a Palestine-Israel peace treaty (to carve the Temple Mount in Jerusalem). I agree with with one of the posters here who said that Jeffrey has a long history of producing books that later turned out to bw nonsense. In his first major book, he predicted the rapture would happen in 1988.
Grant is very biased in his writings. He tells his Christian reader what they want to hear and bends the truth to fit his own personal beliefs. I've met him in person and found him to be very arrogant. I think he is a poor example of a Christian leader. (Review Data Last Updated: 2007-11-27 08:33:05 EST)

I found the book to stretch biblical philosophy in many areas in order to prove the author's point. The book is interesting but not persuasive in many areas pertaining to its main premise: why a Temple will be rebuilt on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
