The collapse of the twin towers didn't look right to me, but so much was happening that I had to let it go. There was the antrax attacks that was "military grade" thought to come from Ft. Dietrick. There was a killer in my neighborhood called the DC sniper. Oh yeah, lets not forget the invasions of Afganistan and Iraq. Everything happened so fast it made me forget about the stolen 2000 presidential elections. Then one day I heard David Ray Griffin discussing his book on CSPAN and it was like waking and finding I was living in a nightmare.
Most people are aware that the attack on Pearl Harbor was a LIHOP(Let it happen on purpose) operation as documented in Robert Stinnson's "Day of Deceit" and John Toland's "Infamy". Apparently this action or inaction was taken so that the isolationist American public would be suffiently enraged and easily led into war.
In 2000, a neo-con think tank called the Project for a New American Century wrote a white paper that called for invasions of Central Asia but felt that a catalyzing event would be needed to gain public support, "A New Pearl Harbor."
David Ray Griffin recounts the terrible events and systematically deconstructs the official story by simply asking valid questions.
The questions are haunting and the testimony of survivors and first responders is most damning.
Have courage and read this book.

Prof. David Ray Griffin presents a persuasive & realistic scenario, which, in short, suggests that (rogue) factions within the U.S. government were complicit in the cataclysm of 9/11. To reflect on the heedlessness of the official account, consider that the Clinton-Lewinsky investigation initially received more funding than the 9/11 investigation. The greatest structural malfunction in the world's history receives less cash than a petty inquiry into the promiscuity of our former President, Bill Clinton. Not only was the funding inadequate, but the evidence - the steal beams, the core, literally everything - was all removed from the scene and shipped to scrap yards. The evidence was utterly destroyed and less than 1% of the steel actually exists today. My only problem with this book is that Griffin did not take the time to verify all the facts that he cites in his 168 pg book. He instead takes a large amount of the `facts' from the books by Nafeez Ahmed, Michel Chossudovsky, & Thierry Meyssan. Regardless of this, if you are interesting in learning about the inconsistencies and implausibilities found in the official account, this book is worth your time & money. Griffin thoroughly covers the majority of the issues - the NORAD "stand-down" (fighter jets stayed on the ground for 60 "decisive" minutes), the Standard Operating Procedures, the "implosion" (as used by NIST) of WTC 1, 2, & 7, the Pentagon damage area, Shanksville crash site, cell phone calls at 20+k altitude, etc - and appealingly so. The information provided on the collapse is less than stellar. I expected to see questions such as - "If the official account is true, why did gravity (and pockets of air) cause 2-ton steel girders to be launched 600 ft from the building?" Instead he focuses on the pulverized concrete. Overall, Griffin's book serves as a great introduction to the attacks of 9/11. Buying this paperback will not dissatisfy, nor disillusion you from "reality"; instead, by the time you reach the heart of the book, you'll be gnashing your teeth in contempt at our nation's obdurate acceptance of the "official account". When you arrive at the book's conclusion, you will undoubtedly discover that the official account stinks to the high heavens!

major news outlets. No one contacted me.

Now Conspiracy nuts with little training in materials testing write
books that muddy the waters by saying that the Tower were brought

Let's say the Bush administration, or a cabal of Neo-cons, pulled off this incredible deception. Why didn't they then plant at least the elements used for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? The former is so hard, the latter comparatively simple. Bush would be vindicated and marching through Tehran by now. And it's not like he didn't have a huge window of time to "discover" some fissionable material. This whole conspiracy idea makes no sense without that crucial next step.

One of the best books I have read. BASED ON FACTS with a well educated person giving the details.

Folks, it's plain sight to see what happened on 9/11. No debunking needed. If you look at the facts and not folklore, you will understand the perspective that 9/11 was an inside job. Couple of Middle Eastern guys from a cave did not do this.

It is patriotic to ask questions; it is patriotic to dissent. This book asks four key questions that should have been asked but, were swept under the table:
Did US Officials have advance information about 9/11?
Did US Officials obstruct investigations prior to 9/11?
Did US Officials have reasons for allowing 9/11?
Did US Officials block captures and investigations after 9/11?

If you are serious about researching 9/11 I would recommend; no...you need this book.

I really enjoyed this book. It went into depth on most of the facts and events that occurred on September 11th, 2001. You never would have thought about some of the facts or questions and you will be amazed by some of the answers that are given in this book. If you are a person who is interested in government and politics, I highly recommend this book to you.

A true American is a Caucasian or African-American Christian that loves his country. That's all there is to it.

America was discovered by Caucasian Christians and settled as a land where they could practice Protestantism freely. The Catholic church had grown corrupt and was persecuting other Christians for not following their newly-proclaimed dogma.

Americans soon found they had neighbors whom they mistakenly yclept Indians, whom they shared the truth of Christ with. The two got along well, but began to make deals with each other and change their minds afterward which led them to get into squabbles. America generously agreed to give certain portions of America to the Indians and they happily accepted.

Over in Africa, the Arabs were capturing African-Americans and enslaving them. America took up a collection and bought all the slaves from the Arab invaders, with the agreement that the African-Americans work for them to pay off the debt. The African-Americans kindly accepted. The Americans then shared the truth of Christ with their new African-American friends.

The World saw how free and happy America was and sought to destroy it. Britain, an evil empire that encompassed half the world decided to invade. Even though America was greatly out-numbered, God gave her the power to fight off the evil invaders and keep America the bastion of freedom it was.

When England was in rubble, the Americans got together and wrote down how their government worked so their descendants would never forget how it was done. They called it the Constitution. It said that Americans would be free to say anything they wanted, and practice any form of Christianity they wanted. They were kind enough to forgive the Catholic church for what it did and allowed people to be Catholic if they wanted as well. As well as a myriad of other wonderful things, it also stated that Americans' should be allowed to carry firearms.

Even though they would have been kicked out of the original America, there has arisen a new "false-American" that wants to destroy the country that has given him everything. They call themselves liberals, or sometimes progressives. They want to expand the Indians' territory to cover most if not all of America's territory, and they tell the African-Americans lies about how they were slaves. They burn American flags and claim the first Americans were devil worshippers. They also want to destroy the constitution because it gives people the freedom of religion and the right to bear firearms.

Yes, there is such as thing as true Americans, and unfortunately false Americans as well. The difference is obvious: one loves his country and wants to keep it like the original Americans had it, the other hates it and wants to destroy it.

It is astounding and almost unbelievable that the President of the United States would plan or approve such a calamitous event as the 9/11 attack. Yet, this is the conclusion to which we are led by David Griffin in his book, THE NEW PEARL HARBOR. It would have to be characterized as the most terrible immmorality; deception, lying, killing, all for impure motives. If this was a conspiracy perpetrated by our own government, as Griffin seems to think, it was gigantic in its scope, involving hundreds and perhaps even thousands of people. You would have to include not only the President and Vice President, but also the top echelon of the military, together with a number of their subordinates, airline executives and technicians, engineers and detonators, New York City officials such as the Mayor and the Police Commissioner, the FBI, the CIA, and the media. To expect that all of these people would remain quiet about what happened if they knew that it differed from the official account, is asking an awful lot. Surely there would be outrage, and at least a few brave souls would speak out. Even in the face of intimidation there would be some that would be defiant. This particular point is difficult for me to accept - that the conspiracy could be so well contained.

Nevertheless, though I have until now accepted the official explanation of those events on 9/11, I am now not so sure. Griffin raises a lot of questions, not just a few, about what happened, as contrasted with the reports that we all know about. He calls for a complete and unbiased investigation by someone whose integrity cannot be questioned, who is beholden to no party or view, and cannot be compromised. I am in complete agreement with that view.

If this is what our government has done to its own people, we are in the gravest peril. It is immoral and treasonous and is not a tactic or strategy we can accept. If the allegations in this book are true, we citizens have a duty to clean house and vote out every single incumbent from office and elect fresh new people, those without political pedigrees. Even for the presidency, we should elect some relatively unknown figure, rather than any politician who has been feeding us a line these past years.

Chapter 7 is entitled DID US OFFICIALS HAVE REASONS FOR ALLOWING 9/11 ?
The author says that 9/11 was the "official" excuse for invading Afghanistan, the beginning of the War on Terrorism. Griffin asserts that the real reason was to establish bases to guard a proposed oil and gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to the Indian Ocean, running through Afghanistan and Pakistan. He further asserts that the written records of some top government officials indicate strongly that we invaded Iraq to "guard" their oil reserves (for ourselves ?). It is likely the oil supply will remain important to us for the foreseeable future. Instead of looking to the mideast for this supply, why don't we begin to mine our own HUGE oil reserves in Utah and Colorado, said to be greater even than those in the Gulf region? It is much more difficult to get this oil, and the process is much more expensive, but it would be an alternative to dependence on foreign oil and we wouldn't have go to war. Scientists and geologists are working now to develop and improve this process. Whatever the cost, the government could and should fund it.


For me the jury is still out. It is unthinkable that our government could plan and instigate the 9/11 attack and do this dastardly deed to its own citizens. But more than enough questions have been raised by Griffin to demand a complete investigation. I'm willing to endure the unpleasantness if we get to the truth.

Every American should read this book -- questioning the actions of our government is the duty of every American.

This book's conspiracy theories are so bad, you have to think the author is simply cashing in on 911. dispicable. example- why were'nt jets scrambled to intercept the hijacked aircraft from a closer USAF base? answer: We did scramble from the nearest base that had fighters on alert. True, Mcguire AFB is closer, but only if you were we going to launch a tanker or cargo aircraft. Book is complete fiction.

What's been seriously lacking since 9/11 is true investigative journalism and media insight into the events of the lead-up to that terrible day. Unaware of the manipulation of events, the public has been led like sheep to the inaccurate summary of what really occurred. Further, the 9/11 Commission was a travesty, only reviewing evidence cherry-picked by its Executive Director -- a Bush Administration crony.

There are a plethora of unanswered questions, and even worse, too many unasked questions. Why is our government refusing to reopen the case for examination? Why don't the timelines of that morning make sense? Why was Tower #7 demolished and how did the explosives manage to be ready to go if they needed 2 weeks to set up? Why did Cheney arrange military War Games that morning? Why wasn't the Pentagon missile system engaged? Many more questions than room here. Whatever your politics, put them aside... you must read this book.

Very few researchers have connected the dots. David Ray Griffin is the scholar capable of doing so. He lays out evidence logically and without bias. He has no ax to grind. Once the issues are laid bare, the conclusions of government involvement and cover-up are at once devastating and angering to any patriot. This book is not for the faint of heart. It's the most disturbing thing I've ever read. And I wept as I read parts of it. But if you want to sift through the evidence and interpret the data, then motivation to learn the truth should be worth the price of having your worldview rattled.

Add this book to your list of must-reads on 9/11. It is an eyeopener if you are just beginning your journey to the truth of this shocking inside job or even if you want to be reminded of what you already know.

It's simply a must-read for all patriotic Americans who love their country rather than loving a war-profiteer politician and his cronies. Hello all: 9-11 and other major disasters in this world are so important for the the people of this world, that i stopped reading all the other books i have been reading, in order to concentrate on what human species are facing (its destruction by evil capitalist forces) and oligarchies connected to governments. 9-11 is not the only fake-staged terrorist that we have seen, and not the only country that has experienced it so far. A lot of governments, corporations and businesses do that. Even major stores burn themselves up in order to get the insurance money. For factual information about Sept. 11 that you will never find in the corporate owned mainstream media, this is a great start.

David Ray Griffin's "The New Pearl Harbor" is a great starting point for people new to the 9/11-truth movement. Unfortunately, the phantasmagoria introduced in this book is unequivocal. No one wants to believe that the U.S. government would commit such heinous acts on 9/11, but Griffin makes a convincing argument that rogue elements in our government could have orchestrated, or at least been complicit with terrorist elements before, during, and after the 9/11 attacks.
Griffin sites many sources for his analysis and he invokes many questions. This book puts hundreds of holes in the official story, leaving no stone unturned.
I strongly suggest after reading this book that you do more research on the subject because many other scenarios or elucidations have come about since this book was published.

Here's a short list of smoking guns that were discussed in the book.

1: NORAD standing down, where was the military when the attacks took place?
2: The U.S.A. Patriot Act was released 45 days after the events on 9/11. The government was working on this document to rescind our constitutional freedoms all along.
3: 7 of the19 hijackers are still alive.
4: Hundreds of put-options were placed on United and American airlines days before the events on 9/11.
5: No plane hit The World Trade Center Building 7, and yet it collapsed.
6: The Pentagon was hit, but not by Flight 77.
7: Flight 93 didn't crash in Shanksville PA.

I could list over six hundred smoking guns, but then if I did that, why read the book. This is one of the most important books ever written. You owe it to yourself and to your country to read it because American civilization is at stake.
9/11 was an inside job!!!!

All I have to say about this book is that it does not take a brain surgeon to realize that every one of the facts brought up in this book gets stone-walled by the White House, these are the same questions that the victims famlies are asking to no avail. People it is time to Act as Patriots and repeal the Patriot Act, impeachment is patriotic. Hold the real criminals accountable and bring them to justice.

Having already seen a number of critical documentaries on the topic of 9/11, including "9/11 Mysteries: Demolitions," "Improbable Collapse" and "Hijacking Catastrophe," I was well aware of the growing body of so-called conspiracy theory blossoming in the wake of the attacks, and therefore didn't expect to learn much from this book. How wrong I was. Griffin unearths a mountain of facts, and meticulously deconstructs the official myth of 19 hijackers outsmarting the entire US air defense system. As Griffin shows, this claim is just ridiculous. A careful examination of the evidence thus points to one of two possibilities: 1) complete and utter incompetence of our defense systems or 2) complicity and cover up by elements in the US government--and along with Griffin, I am more inclined to believe the second possibility, considering how much elements within the US government stood to gain from the attacks. In any event, Griffin, ever cautious of claiming complicity before trial, concludes by pleading for a truly independent and unhampered investigation of 9/11. Before reading this book, my natural reaction was to dismiss any and all conspiracy theories as absurd, prima facie. After reading the book, I no longer possess the luxury of such blind credulity.

Having already seen a number of critical documentaries on the topic of 9/11, including "9/11 Mysteries: Demolitions," "Improbable Collapse" and "Hijacking Catastrophe," I was well aware of the growing body of so-called conspiracy theory blossoming in the wake of the attacks, and therefore didn't expect to learn much from this book. How wrong I was. Griffin unearths a mountain of facts, and meticulously deconstructs the official myth 19 hijackers outsmarting US defense systems. A careful examination of the evidence points to one of two possibilities: 1) complete and utter incompetence of our defense systems or 2) complicity and cover up by elements in the US government. Along with Griffin, I am more inclined to believe the second possibility, considering how much the US government has gained from the attacks. In any event, Griffin, ever cautious of overstepping the evidence, concludes by pleading for further investigation into 9/11--this time, a truly independent and unhampered investigation. Before reading this book, my natural reaction was to dismiss any and all conspiracy theories as absurd, prima facie. After reading the book, I no longer possess the luxury of such blind credulity.

He is the author and editor of more than 20 books, and now he is one of the leading critics of the official 9/11 story promulgated by the government and mass media. In any event, Griffin, ever cautious of jumping to conclusions, ends the book by demanding further investigation into 9/11--this time, a truly independent and unhampered investigation with full subpoena power. Considering the gravity of 9/11 and the Global War on Terror it has spawned, this is quite possibly the most important book in print today. You would do well pick up a copy, along with Griffin's "The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions and Distortions." Before reading this book, I dismissed all conspiracy theories as absurd, prima facie. Sadly, I no longer possess the luxury of such naive credulity.

Doubtless there were major questions as to how the 9/11 tragedy struck: How could the government have been so hopelessly inept that it happened? How/why did the Saudis, especially the bin Laden family get to leave the country while the rest of us were earthbound? I have so, so many others. Suffice it to say that, yes, there are questions that challenge the "official" story of what happened on 9/11.

In addition, I have been to discussions as to how to address that tragedy. I remember one at which a credible, very concerned individual compared 9/11 to the Reichstag Fire. Again, yes, there ARE questions.

Even more, hmmmm...the tragedy was used to stimulate a war--on completely false grounds. And the Bush/Cheney cronies are making a fortune off of that. Still more questions.

But questions do not a conspiracy make.

Griffin teases us with the questions, but his speculative answers remain the worst-case scenario--not to mention that they're not really very well-argued or true. The evidence--have you ever heard of evidence?--indicates otherwise despite the conspiracy theories.

I put my money on a brief column by Alexander Cockburn in The Nation a few months ago in which he suggests that the conspiracy theorists are naive in that they believe that the intelligence and law enforcement agencies actually work. Maybe we've seen too many spy movies, or Ephram Zimbalist, Jr. arresting the bad guys, to realize that those organizations have as many bungling idiots and ideological agendae as anyone else.

Well, let me summarize as I do with all conspiracy theorists: Such a conspiracy would include many, many individuals. The more there are, the less possible--or should I say more impossible--it becomes to cover it up.

There's a lot to study about that tragedy and what consequences have come from it. This example is not one worthy of your money or time.

This is an excellent, uncomplicated work that raises a lot of reasonable questions concerning the "conspiracy theory" that our government (particularly the Executive branch) wants us to believe concerning the events surrounding the "terrorist" attacks of 9/11/2001. It takes a great deal of courage for the reader to honestly consider the possibility that many of our government leaders might not be acting in the best interest of our country.

I think that all citizens, who consider themselves "free thinkers" should read this.
I am concerned with the similarities of 9/11 and related events and the attack at Pearl Harbor.

I never have been interested in politics, and I haven't really given any of the 9/11 debates any attention.

My oddessey started when I stumbled on an article about a Brigham Young professor physicist who was being bashed for stating his beliefs that the World Trade Center was brought down, not by the planes, but by a possible deliberate planting of thermite -- a planned, controlled demolition of the Towers. A lightbulb went off -- my husband, as an engineer, had puzzled, from Day 1: 'Those buildings shouldn't have fallen'. 5 years later, the pieces fall into place; I remembered an engineering banquet we attended that showed an award-winning demolition company and how a perfect skyscraper demolition is accomplished. It showed buildings falling in seconds, perfectly and vertically.

This happens only with expert pre-meditation.

Many Americans may not know that the third building (WTC 7) that fell late in the day HAD NOT EVEN BEEN HIT BY A PLANE. And it fell within seconds, close to perfection.

There are so many fishy -- actually more than fishy -- sinister -- things about the events of 9/11 and the events thereafter, that a new completely independent investigation needs to go on. Obviously information was squelched, as the book elaborates.

What I find unbelievable is the number of people who aren't aware of the evidence of complicity, and how many simply do not want to know. Certainly, a civilization cannot flourish without its citizens looking for the truth. And even more disturbing, where is the media? Is our country's media so controlled that we have no hope for impartial investigation?

This book does a very good job of raising the questions and the possible levels of duplicity in the Bush administration that would have needed to be in place to enable what was accomplished. He shows the extent of coincidences which one would have to believe to conclude that this was mere incompetence. He shows the questions pertaining to the lack of military intervention, not just on the first plane, but on the second WTC plane and also the Pentagon one. The timelines of the events were nicely stated. The Pentagon and the Shanksville events have many elements needing explanation.

He goes into the various ties the Administration has, ironically, with those who were alleged to be guilty of the crimes. And he goes into detail about the extent to which the Administration stonewalled the possible attempts (or potential non-attempts) of the investigative commissions to find answers. The stonewalling begins with the fact that the Administration determined who would be investigating them!

This book is not for conspiracy theorists. I'm not one. I hope this book will make you want to find out the truth behind 9/11. Our democracy is at stake.

Having never really questioned the official account of 9/11 until recently (this fifth anniversary seems to generate a bit more buzz than usual) I was only curious to read what one of the most prominent 9/11 "alternative analysts" had to say. Well, after reading this, I am not sure what to believe anymore, but I sure know what to NOT believe: any single word of the official account.

This book gives a rational, meticulous analysis of the gaping mismatch between facts and official reports. I was simply amazed at how much had been left un-reported, un-scrutinized, un-challenged by the mainstream media - which I was consequently unaware of. The third tower collapse, engineers and firefighters reports, NORAD missing in action, the non-evacuation of the Pentagon, presidential bravado/nonchalance flying back without protection, the short-selling of airlines stock, etc.

The book is first and foremost about a huge failure of our media (where is the investigative press that was once a trademark of this country?) This failure is an indisputable fact, as ominous as the possible complicity theory. Ominous? Yes: if such a string of oddities and inconsistencies remains unchallenged by our mainstream media 5 years later, where is the deterrent for the next false flag terrorist operation (we know these had happen in the past)? For even if this one wasn't a false flag, it sure worked like one. If only because of this - and without presuming of the outcome - I concur with the only affirmative conclusion of the book: reopen the investigation.

Griffin takes a very objective stance presenting engaging reasons for demanding further investigation into the 911 tragedies.
Having spent hundreds of hours with less "rational" treatments it is very refreshing to see this concise treatment in one volume.
Excellent first read for those who are reticent.

Griffin's seminal work on 911, demonstrating government complicity.

Prof. David Ray Griffin has written 2 studies since 9/11. This, the first, is, or ought to be, the impulse for the clarion call that will awaken US to the facts, the bona fide truth about this axial event in human history. TNPH is the summary of the available facts as of 3 years after Ground Zero.

Griffin marshalls all the data that researchers had unearthed as of 2004, and compiled an eminently readable cogent analysis of the available evidence. The evidence is overwhelming. The data supporting the argument that some force within the "government" acted treasonably in order to gain specific objectives demands that an independent inquiry into the facts be undertaken.

Fortunately, this is happening. What is generally known as the 9/11 Truth Movement, and especially Scholars for 9/11 Truth, are spearheading the only opposition to the dominant paradigm that holds sway in politics and the media. What is truly heartening is that members of 9/11Truth are running for Federal seats on this very issue and that scholars such as Prof. Griffin speak out against the madness.

The notion that 9/11 was not the work of 19 Saudis with boxcutters, but a sophisticatedly technical precision execution of finely orchestrated coordinated actions originating in the "shadowy world" of "government and military" (my emphasis) would be grounds to suspect a treasonous inside job. This is a conclusion that most Americans would shudder and dismiss as impossible, inconceivable. Nonetheless, when you finish this book you will be able to conceive exactly what it took to pull this off. And then march off to WAR exactly as planned.

"The New Pearl Harbor" is required reading in order to get a handle on the idea that all is not as it has been asserted by the officials and their spokesmen who make the news.

But hearken! On September 11, 2006, on the 5th year date, there will be a 9/11Truth gathering at Ground Zero. And I heard that on CSPAN. Subvert the dominant paradigm.

How could a plane have hit the best-protected building in the US (the Pentagon) -- and not be shot down by any of its battery of missiles? Why did WTC 7 collapse if it was not hit by a plane? WTCs 1&2 were hit at 8:46 and 9:03. Knowing that the country was under attack, why did Bush continue with his photo-op plans in a Sarasota classrooom of second-graders from 9:00-9:16, acting "as if he didn't have a single care in the world?" At 9:29 he delivered his televised address to the nation. Since both of these events took place at times and locations which were publicly announced in advance, how could it have been assumed that the president would not himself be a target?

In this well-documented and researched book, Dr. Griffin raises extremely troubling questions supported by persuasive arguments that the official account as reported by the 9/11 Commission and mass media is seriously flawed. Any critically-thinking person will appreciate Griffin's logical and scholarly tone along with the refreshing lack of unneccesary and distracting embellishments and sensationalism. To those who claim that the author is merely trying to profit from book sales, I'd counter that Griffin (thankfully) refrains from using the language or style of works typically found on bestseller lists.

As an American citizen, I feel that it is vitally important to continually ask questions and to seek answers; indeed it is our responsiblity and our duty as members of a free society. By not asking questions, however painful, we are doing ourselves (and our democracy) a grave disservice. Make no mistake, the information provided in this book is compelling and horrific. I did not (and still do not) want to open my mind and emotions to the author's premise of a revisionist theory pointing toward complicity at the highest levels of government. Denial is a strong and effective defense mechanism, but unfortunately it can be a potent obstacle in revealing and accepting the truth.

If America is to continue to be "the land of the free and the home of the brave," its citizens must bite the bullet and seek the truth, no matter the cost. Read this book, study it, and pass it along! (And, for a little background context, google "project for a new american century" and "operation northwoods.")

Over the years, I have been very suspicious regarding the incompetence of the Bush Administration and their hypocritical stance regarding being pro-life at the same time that they are eager to wage war and sacrifice lives of Americans and other world citizens.

This is a very interesting book with compelling arguments. The information in it is similar to a one and half hour documentary that a friend gave me on DVD. I found parts of the documentary to be very compelling and shocking and it woke me up to what is really happening in our country today.

There is a lot of evidence that the World Trade Center had bombs in it and did not collapse from the impact of two airplanes. The evidence seems very likely that the events of 9/11 were an inside job by our very own government.

Read this book and expand your awareness. I also recommend the documentary that opened my eyes to new possibilities and shocked me.

Search for "Loose Change 2nd Edition" on Google Video and watch this documentary for free. It will blow your mind because it shows a lot of compelling evidence connecting the dots that the media and the government have hidden from us.

Please watch this video and read this book. Stop the current administration from hijacking and terrorizing America and other parts of the world. This administration are the real terrorists.

This is a MUST READ book! It's clear, logical, and encourages you to draw your own conclusions about what really happened on 911 in NYC. You won't be sorry you did. Everyone should read it. Soon.

Prepare to start hyperventilating as you read this book if you have only been exposed to the "official" version of 9/11. Read it, and you may never again be able to stomach the words "War on Terror." Without throwing bricks, without partisan pot-shots, Dr. Griffin methodically lays out evidence which overwhelmingly suggests U.S. government complicity in the 9/11 attacks. Yet, to his credit, all the author asks for is a genuine, in-depth, and independent investigation. (The 9/11 Commission provided nothing of the sort, but that's the topic of his next book, "The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions and Distortions")

Part of what makes "The New Pearl Harbor" compelling is that it cites so many reports from mainstream media--Newsweek, the Washington Post, the New York Times, etc. Quotes from these "reliable" sources appear in copious endnotes that together create a pattern. Major media just hasn't connected the dots. (This, perhaps, is because its owned by people and corporations who profit handsomely from war.)

But in crime-busting 101, we learn to suspect those who benefit most from a crime. Could our government be so monstrous as to sacrifice 3,000 of its own citizens to secure hundreds of billions of dollars in war funding for many years to come? Our military trains leaders to think in terms of "cost benefit." Securing a New American Century of "full-spectrum domination," to them, may be the prize that justifies such an atrocity. These and many other questions beg serious probing, not knee-jerk ridicule and dismissive labels like "unpatriotic." Read this book, pass it on, and demand that Congress start answering questions; many of the official aspects of 9/11 simply don't add up.

When I first heard, in November 2001, that the World Trade Towers were brought down by controlled demolition, after the planes struck, I reacted with some annoyance that anyone would waste my time with such outrageous nonsense. It was like saying Elvis and the Aliens did it. But when I learned, a couple years later, that David Ray Griffin, who I knew to be one of the most rigorous and respected philosophers in the world, wrote a book revealing just that, I had to read it, and you do to, if you wish to be informed about one of the most difficult and important subjects in the world today. Read it and pass it on!

In order to understand 9/11 one must first understand the nature of propaganda and how its used to manipulate and decieve the public. Without such understanding, one has little if any chance of arriving at the truth. Since 9/11 was a crime, albeit on a massive scale, the truth can only be arrived at via meticulous examination of the complete trail of physical, circumstantial, and survivor, evidence. Government and mainstream media assertions that the official 9/11 story is true mean little, when not backed up by the evidence, and can only serve to layout the government's unproven 9/11 alibi. What we have however, is a well-coordinated campaign by the government and the media to force acceptance of their unproven alibi as the undisputed truth of 9/11, without any proof in the actual evidence of the case. This effort is characterized by inccessant ridicule and censorship of any evidence that disproves the government's official 9/11 alibi.

Can you imagine real homicide detectives approaching a criminal investitgation of this magnitutude, by determining what occurred based soley upon the unproven testimony of just one of the major players in a case! Due to the vast resources at the disposal of government and media, this attempt to manipulate public thinking on 9/11, amounts to propaganda and has resulted in the deception of many not exposed to the huge amount of suppressed 9/11 evidence. Please be advised, if you've only been exposed to the official 9/11 story, your understanding of the event can in no way be considered complete! Would real dectectives be crazy, or "conspiracy theorists", for including all the evidence and testimony from a crime, into their investigation? A public subjected to just one side of the 9/11 story with no corroborating evidence, can easily be decieved, about what actually occurred. The word "Conspriracy Theory" is one of the major weapons in the fight against full exposure of the large volume of deliberately hiddened 9/11 evidence, contrary to the official 9/11 story. This word is tricky, as most people fail to realize that it best describes the widely believed, yet still unproven official 9/11 story, not alternative accounts actually proven by the evidence.

With 'The New Pearl Harbor' David Griffin uses some of the best early independent 9/11 research to show just how contrary to the facts of the case, the official 9/11 story really is. In this work, the public has a good primer by which to approach the large body of 9/11 evidence hidden by the government and media, yet uncovered by independent 9/11 research. Hence understanding 9/11 boils down to a battle of facts vs propaganda and deception. While the government and media continues to call any questioning of the unproven official account "crazy", independent 9/11 researchers continue to make great progress in mining the actual evidence for factual explanations for many of the unanswered mysteries left by the official 9/11 account.

This book asked many of the questions that call into question the official account of 9/11. It did so in a cautious way, a journalistic way. Which is one of the strong points of the book, that and the exhaustive sourcing. For those looking for an introduction into questioning 9/11, this is where to start. Dr. Griffin has done a magnificent job of research and analysis on the evidence or lack of for certain stories regarding the 9/11 attacks.

There is no better book available that takes a reasoned and dispassionate look at the evidence without necessarily drawing any specific conclusion. He only looked at what he could demonstrate or prove.

This is great introduction to the evidence and the controversy over the "conspiracy theories" about 9/11. After this book I can't imagine any reader accepting the conspiracy theory about 19 muslim retards using boxcutters to flummox our multi-trillion dollar defense system and getting NORAD to stand down.

I've bought no less than half a dozens copies of this book because I lend them out and can't seem to get them back. Everyone who reads it wants to pass it along to someone else.

The facts contained here will is capable of convincing even the the dogmatic Kean/Zelikow commission supporter. Possibly even Kean and Zelikow (privately).

I have been having nightmares since being loaned this book by a good friend several days ago. I, too, never questioned the official story of Sept. 11th for many years, but the gross incompetence of this administration, coupled with its outright vampiric quest for more resources and calamity in the MidEast, that becomes more and more blatant each day, have finally made me start to be a more vigilant and demanding citizen. INFORMATION IS THE OXYGEN OF A DEMOCRACY. Read this book, and then talk to your friends and loved ones about what you think. And don't forget to VOTE!!!

This book, along with Jim Marrs' Inside Job, was waylaid at an air force base before finally landing at my normal airport. Then I had to sign for them. I never sign for anything.

So please be aware that buying this will probably put you on that Godzilla-sized Enemies List "they" keep. To me, that means it's probably a must-read. (I ranted -- I mean reviewed -- more on Inside Job's page.)

Read it now. Just read it. No review could do justice to this information and how well it is presented. Furthermore its importance cannot be understated.

This book is not propaganda. It's just a clear presentation of a treasure trove of facts that have been pushed out of the light of scrutiny with disturbing care and ease.

If you don't believe there's anything to this then there's no harm to be done is there? But I guarantee you will be enlightened even if you have previously been fooled.

Wake up world. Read this book and open your eyes.

David R Griffins books are the most balanced of the 9/11 books
and contain genuine attempts to understand the argument from both sides (though in conclusion there can be little balance as the sheer weight of evidence on US complicity is staggering).
A must read for every serious student of 9/11.
