Most sex manuals focus on only one aspect: the physical mechanics of the act itself. According to Kabbalah, the key to finding real sexual pleasure lies in self-awareness, not technique. This groundbreaking book helps readers overcome shame and negative self-image and access higher levels of connection — to themselves, their partners, and to spirit. Through the ancient wisdom of Kabbalah, sex becomes the truly sacred connection it was always meant to be — thrilling, satisfying, and profound.

It even gives a really great explanation of kabbalah for beginners. Well written, and holds your interest. It made my list of top ten favorite books of all time. The author is really awesome.

Yehuda Berg has an amazing ability to relate profound Kabbalistic teachings to a modern way of life. I loved this book, it started my personal journey into the teachings of Kabbalah. If you are interested defiantly give this book a shot!

"Receiving pleasure directly for oneself alone and instinctively reacting to everything and everyone around us is a pleasurable but poisonous potion that brings us instant gratification along with a drop of death with every sip. What dies is the Light of our soul. What dies is our sex life." ~ pg. 188
Yehuda Berg presents his views on Kabbalah in a very modern and somewhat frank (OK, very frank - use of modern erotic terminology included) manner. Concepts are introduced and then a theory of existence is explored in light of sexuality. "Light" becomes very important and a gradual shift in your awareness of this aspect of romantic bliss can create an increase in happiness. Whether or not you believe in Kabbalah's mystical teachings or not, there is something for everyone. Yehuda Berg unveils and understanding of true satisfaction within a long-term relationship, explains why people have sex addictions and brings a new understanding to the concept of male/female polarity. Many authors have addressed the polarity issue, but this book takes it back to the beginning of time. Do you need to believe that Adam and Eve are just a myth to read this book? The author builds his presentation based on this fact, but I think you can still address polarity in modern life without a need to root your belief in anything that may go against you own belief system. In order to explore the differences between the type of sexuality that brings happiness and the type that brings darkness we need to ask: Do your actions change the entire world? How does Kabbalah explain soul mates? Why does pornography diminish sexual satisfaction in relationships? What kills the fire of passion in any sexual relationship? Why is Friday night a good date night with your spouse? "There you have it: 4,000 years of comprehensive kabbalistic study, once understood only by the greatest minds in history, condensed here into a few simple points." ~ pg. 131 I'd like to say: "Not so fast." Truthfully, there are some concepts in this book (strangely enough, I typed "concept sin," the first time - talk about Freudian slips) that are highly complex and will attempt to dismantle your current belief system. Morality is not promoted, but instead you are told to take actions that will benefit you in the long term. These beneficial actions of course turn out to mirror many moral belief systems. While the concept of sin is not really addressed, most of us have come to realize that over time you see the positive and negative effects of various actions. This book promotes the dissolution of selfish desires in order to reach an even more satisfying place of sexual satisfaction. This seems to promote patience, dedication to your partner's pleasure and a promising life of less emotional pain. The way to read this book is to take what you need and if something feels too far out of your comfort range, research it further. I don't see the problem with believing that Adam and Eve were really created as opposed to being one soul that split into two, because it doesn't seem to matter in the long run. They had the ability to create and the power to make decisions that determined their future. If Adam & Eve were not real, then how does the author explain the creation of the Universe? At some point the invisible had to be made visible or you and I would not be here writing and reading. "The invisible becomes visible after Resistance." ~ pg. 176 So, the only questions is: "After you read this book, will you be rolling in the snow naked?" If you are interested in the issue of polarity, then books by David Deida will further this concept and give you a deeper understanding of how polarity affects your relationship in daily life. ~The Rebecca Review Author of Seasoned with Love: A collection of best-loved recipes inspired by over 40 cultures (Review Data Last Updated: 2007-12-25 09:22:48 EST)

My wife got me a copy of Berg's tome to "spice up" our sex life. I put down my beer and gave it look, then told her she could have saved twenty bucks if she'd just roll over every once in a while.
