At the end of the book, you'll be flipping through it again- wishing there was more. By far the best in the series!

TEMPTED begins exactly where the last book, LUCKY, left off.

In the beginning of this novel, Callie Vernon is relentlessly lusting after Easy Walsh. The only thing stopping her from having Easy is the fact that he can't stand her. After he found out that she and Tinsley Carmichael tried to get Jenny Humphrey expelled, he wanted nothing to do with her. Callie knows that Easy is her prince. As the annual Halloween Ball approaches, Callie must decide on the most fabulous costume that will convince Easy that he is the one for her.

Meanwhile, Jenny has become something of a legend around campus. There aren't many people who can escape being expelled like she did. But who is her mystery savior? Someone spent thousands of dollars to make sure that she stayed at Waverly, but who?

Overall, this novel was amazing. Cecily von Ziegesar has created yet another spectacularly-written addition to the IT GIRL series. It was almost impossible to put this book down. It was suspenseful and interesting all at the same time. If you are a fan of any of the IT GIRL novels, this book will not disappoint you!

I like the it girl series much more than gossip girl and the a list because the characters are much more real and the situations, though sometimes a little stretched, are fun to read. Tempted did not disappoint and I will continue to read this series!

The latest installment of this formerly fun series is horrid. HOW many times can Callie and Easy and Brett and Jeremiah break up and get back together? The characters with their relationships are too intense for 16 year olds. Really, Callie ends up in rehab to get over Easy? Heath Ferro was a great comedic character but in an effort to show his 'sensitive side' he becomes totally lame although I did like Brandon a bit more. Ziegasar used to be good at writing male dialogue, but there's just no way guys would talk to each other like they do here. There's just no way. Indeed, the best character was Tinsley, who always keeps it interesting. Ziegesar should be embarrassed by this book, but it's still going to be a best seller, and I'm still going to read the next one.

I've been a fan of the It Girl series since it first came out, and while I've never thought they were great (its hard to like them too much because I really don't like Jenny, and the series is based on her) I still enjoy them, but the series is slowly starting to go downhill, as if the author is starting to run out of the ideas.

Basic plot:

Jenny, the most annoying character of the series, is still the irritating good girl, who always manages to get away with everything, and continues to climb the popularity ladder, rising above even Tinsley in this book. Tinsley (my favorite character) is still steaming over the fact that Julian threw her away in favor of Jenny, and is even more hurt when he snubs her at the Halloween ball. You also see her downfall in this book, as her friends ignore her in favor of Jenny, and even go so far as to ignore her invite to a movie night that she plans. Callie and Easy break up yet again (surprise surprise) and in order to get away for a while, she runs off to what she thinks is a spa, at the suggestion of her mom, but the spa really turns out to be a rehab center. Brett and Jeremiah also break up yet again (gasp! What a shocker) and supposedly this time its for good. Brandon starts dating Sage Francis, and Heath and Kara break up, and afterward you get to see Heath's vulnerable, sensitive side for once, since he is actually upset about the break-up. Easy becomes a bit of an alcoholic as he deals with his break-up over Callie, and eventually realizes he made a big mistake when he dissed her at the dance, and once again becomes her knight in shining armor toward the end of the book. Jenny and Tinsley team up, as they go on a mission to save Callie from rehab, and predictably they still hate eachother at the beginning of their roadtrip, but start to actually kind of like eachother afterwards.

All in all, it is an enjoyable read, just a little bit too predictable and slow at some parts. And although definitely not the best of the series, I do recommend that you read it if you are a fan of the It Girl books.

Sophomore, and resident Waverly Academy It Girl, Jenny Humphrey, was on the brink of being expelled from Waverly, after taking the fall for the fire that burned down the Miller barn. Jenny knew that she was innocent of the crime, but with all of the rumors swirling around about her, she figured she would be better off back home in the City. Bags packed at the ready, and headed towards a cab, Jenny couldn't help but feel a longing to stay at Waverly. A place where she felt as if she finally fit in. Had made true friends. But just as she was leaving Waverly forever, things changed. Someone paid off the Miller's, blaming the fire on a group of rampant cows, and Jenny was reinstated. But not without a grudge.

All her life, Jenny Humphrey has never wanted anything more than to achieve a great education, and obtain some close friends who would stick by her through thick and thin. But as Jenny watched her so-called friends and classmates allow her to take the fall for a crime that she didn't commit, she couldn't help but feel as if she had been betrayed in the worst possible way. Now, back at Waverly, Jenny has resolved to put the past behind her, and make amends with her friends. But, as the saying goes, "you can forgive, but you can't forget." And Jenny especially can't forget the person who paid off the Miller's to get them to change their story. Jenny doesn't know who her savior is, but she is determined to find out - and fast. She suspects that her savior is the same person who has become her secret admirer, and plans on learning their identity at Waverly's annual Halloween masquerade ball. Brett Messerschmidt thought that she'd be able to keep her kissing indiscretions of the past few months a secret. But now that Jeremiah is back in the picture, Brett is quickly realizing that keeping your secrets dead and buried can be a challenge - especially when there's photographic evidence. Since she first appeared at Waverly, Tinsley Carmichael has been the girl every girl has wanted to be, and every guy wanted to be with. Now, after one little mistake, Tinsley suddenly finds herself ostracized from everyone - including Julian. Jenny's not the only one interested in finding true love at the ball. Southern princess Callie Vernon knows that her true prince charming is Kentucky-bred Easy Walsh. But since teaming up with the glamorous Tinsley Carmichael to get Jenny kicked out of Waverly, Easy has turned his back on the beautiful Callie. Now Callie, on a quest to prove to Easy that she's a decent human being, and truly in love with him, has resolved to dress as Cinderella for the ball. Her plan is to win back her guy by the stroke of midnight. But with Easy so angry, Callie can't help but wonder if the stroke of midnight is more likely to bring heartbreak her way.

Though it has only been a few short months since I read LUCKY, I feel as if decades have passed since I was able to, once again, mingle with Jenny, Tinsley, and the rest of the Waverly gang. Luckily, it was well worth the wait. TEMPTED brings about the truth of so many secrets that we were dying to learn more about; and even shows a different side of some of our beloved Waverly students. Jenny is finally showing more confidence, and, while her good girl ways are still in full effect, I can't help but wonder if she'll soon be moving into Tinsley's place as resident nasty girl. Callie seems as if she's on a roller coaster between vulnerable and vain, constantly switching it up - but her devotion to Easy is still there. Tinsley's infatuation with Julian is a surprise. But even more surprising is the lack of Julian's character within the pages of TEMPTED. Heath is showing a different side of himself that will make jaws drop. Easy Walsh, while still lurking behind that rebel without a cause persona, seems to have become slightly angrier as of late - probably due to his newfound appreciation for alcohol. Kara is finally coming out of her shell; but the tension and awkwardness between Brett and Kara emanates off the page - making even the reader uncomfortable. Cecily von Ziegesar has penned another winner. You'll be 'tempted' to keep reading long into the night!
