Sallam to All, This product is the best Quran I have ever bought, It is not just the Quran with commentarie, its has so much more than that. The Desighn of the book is beatuful, the picture on amazon does not do it justcie, the desighn on the inside is beatiful as well. The commentary is not hard to read at all and they are really informing on the text and when you read just one page you leave with a whole new found knowldge which you can use to tell your family and freinds about the info. The pages have famous poems that relate to the Quran, and there are alot of refrences which makes it even more exciting to read. The outside of the book is very style, and it gives the customore pride to be holding it.
The only fault it, if you accdently scrimple a page the mark of you doing it wont leave, but other then that its the best Quran to buy

Good size print, lots of in-depth commentary. Nicely put together, and the parallel Arabic script is a plus. Just what I wanted.

No issue with the translation or commentary, they are probably the best in class. The issue is with the paper quality, it is extremely low! I'm disappointed to see people using such low standard materials for books, as important as Quran! Note, these kind of Books are supposed to stay/used on long term basis, so there should be a minimum standard of quality!
My advise to publisher (Tahrike Tarsile Qur'an) is to charge more price but for the sake of God don't sacrifice quality, not for Holy Books like Quran, at least!!

An excellent English translation of the Quran by a reknown Muslim scholar. This translation also contains historical commentary to make it easier to understand the history and context of much of what is written, and helps to eliminate many common misunderstandings and misconceptions. A common misconception of Islam in the west is that it teaches hatred and religious intolerance. In truth this is not the case in real Islam. The portions that would seem at first glance to deliver such a message are shown clearly through the commentary not to be doing so, but rather is more of a historical commentary in much the same way as the wars in the Old Testement of the Bible are described. All in all an excellent translation for a native English speaker wishing to understand the core concepts of true Islam, and to also eliminate the common misconceptions surrounding it. Beyond this excellent commentary, the translation itself is very good, if perhaps using a vocabulary a bit more in line with more educated readers. All in all an excellent translation, and a must read for anyone interested in Islam. If you are only going to buy one translation of the Quran - make it this one.

This translation, with commentary, is the gold standard. Some Wahhabis at Amana tinkered with Ali's translation and actually removed and revised some of the excellent commentary to suit their agenda. If they had wanted to advance their own version, they should have created their own version, not bastardized this classic. So, avoid the Amana version [Hardcover: 1759 pages, Publisher: Amana Publications; 11 edition (May 2004)Language: English ISBN-10: 1590080254 ISBN-13: 978-1590080252] and get this one instead. It is beautifully translated, and the commentary material is worth the price of the book itself. And, as far as I can tell, it is not tampered with and altered.

A good translation of the texts of the most evil and intolerant religions in the history of man. You have heard Islam is a religion of peace and love. It is not read the Koran. Islam is a religion that teaches Hate, Intolerance, War and Murder.
According to Islam Non believers (anyone who is not Muslum) have only three choices, 1. Conversion to Islam, 2. Subjugation (slavery) and 3. Death.
The Koran teaches Hate and intolerance on every page. Muslums are tought to hate and distrust all non-muslums. Which of course makes it absolute folly to try to engage Muslums in any kind of negotiation or contract.

This is a beautiful book, containing the full text of the Qur'an, in Arabic, a full translation in English, as well as commentary in English.

I purchased this translation of the Qur'an, that I might read "The Truth About Muhammad" by Robert Spencer, with greater facility. According to Spencer, "Qu'ranic verse numeration is not standard." To be able to lookup the verses mentioned by Spencer, one must have a copy of one the translations which he used as a reference. This translation of the Qur'an is one referenced by Spencer.

I reverted to Islam about a year and a half ago and a friend who is also an American Muslim recommended this translation to me. I had been reading from a different translation ("Al-Qur'an: A Contemporary Translation by Ahmed Ali"). Although I found that translation sufficent, this translation helped me gain a better and more thorough understanding because of the depth and detail of the commentary on each Surah. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read Qur'an in English.

The translator Yusaf Ali did a wonderful job with the translation, and the commentary was a great help. The commentary provided much needed reasoning behind the scripture, and laid it out wonderfully for all to understand.

I bought this edition some months ago from Amazon.com and for most purposes it is a fine edition however it has many printing errors and typographical errors. letters left out (for example 'lood' where 'blood' is obviously intended). The paper is rather thin, so you see the printing on the backing page when you are reading, this can be distracting.

It is well bound, and the print quality is good. On the whole it is a good production but the publishers need to do a much better job of proof-reading before they go to the presses.

Don't know enough about this item to rate it. But according to other reviews, it said to be the best.

A really nice translation of Holy Quran. The comprehensive index at the end makes it very easy to find references.

I recommend everyeone (especially Christians) to get a copy and read about what Quran says about Jesus (Peace be upon him) and his mother Mary. There is a complete chapter (i.e. 19) in Quran about Maryam (i.e. Mary). Please read it just to understand muslim point of view about Jesus (PBUH).

Similarly our Jewish fellow beings are requested to get this book and read about the prophet Moses (PBUH). Quran speaks about the stories of prophet Moses (PBUH) more than 100 times and declares him as one of the mightiest messengers of God (just like Jesus PBUH).

May God guide all of us to the straight path.

Very comprehensive and clear manual to operate in this world. Excellent source to understand the purpose of life. These are the true words of God revealing the code and way of life to make life easier and purposeful. Commentary is very helpful to understand the literal translation. Language is simple and beautiful. Summing up, this is the most useful book I've ever read and it is imperative to read this book for anyone who is trying to find the purpose of this life.
