As an amateur naval historian, I've always been fascinated by the bravery of that first takeoff of a fully loaded B-25 at a time when the US was at such a low point in its 20th century history. Despite the advice of my Navy colleagues (especially one who journeyed to China in an attempt to recreate Doolittle's travels in China) I bought this product thinking that the reviews justified the purchase. Anyone who would seek an in-depth history of that mission and the courageous men who made that extraordinary mission, and who is accustomed to the depth and detail of professional military historians will be disappointed at the number of questions unanswered. Otherwise, it's a nice 3-hour read.
