On 9/11, a national ground-stop took effect on 9:26 am. Notwithstanding this order, on 9:41 am, ABC reported a plane circling above the White House, just after the attack on the Pentagon. Therefore the White House was evacuated, since another attack was feared.

Now, a plane circling around the White House is a remarkable fact on itself, since the White House is, just like the Pentagon, a no-fly area. Some people do have the nerve to take photos even in emergencies. Linda Brookhart took a photo of this mystery plane, a white jet, and this photo is included in this book. Mark H. Gaffney also includes some images of footage by CNN, Discovery Channel and Spanish ABC on which the same plane can be spotted. It can therefore, without any doubt, be deducted that this is the military plane E-4B, a Boeing-747, painted totally white, because some guys in the military think that this way the heat can be reflected in a nuclear war theater. I am not so sure of this, but the fact of the matter is that although this is a military plane, it is very easily recognized, due to its particular color choice.

Now, what kind of a plane is the E-4B exactly ? The author sums it up in the following words : "If the presidential plane, Air Force One, is a flying White House, then the E-4B is a substitute Pentagon. Its electronics cover the full radio spectrum, from extremely low frequency (ELF) to ultra high frequency (UHF). This enables the E-4B to communicate worldwide with all U.S. military commands, including tactical and strategic forces, naval ships, planes, nuclear-armed missiles, even submarines. In sum, the E-4B is a state-of-the-art communications platform and can serve as an airborne command center for all U.S. military forces in a national or world crisis."

Although we have photos and videos of this plane circling above the White House on 9/11, the Department of the Air Force *officially* denies that there was any plane there on 9/11. This interesting communication is also included in this book.

Do they have something to hide ? Doesn't it look very odd that the Pentagon was struck, at the same time that a Pentagon in the air was flying near it ?

Some people have the nerve to take photos in emergencies. Linda Brookhart took a photo of the white plane circling near the White House on 9/11, at 9:41 am, and this photo is published in "9/11 Mystery Plane" of Mark H. Gaffney.

The point is that that the Department of the Air Force, replying on the request for information "relating to an unidentified aircraft that may have been in restricted airspace near the White House on September 11, 2001, between the hours of 9:30 - 10:30 am", after the national ground-stop nationwide was in course, officially replied : "Air Force officials have no knowledge of the aircraft in question."

This is very important, since this is an OFFICIAL DENIAL OF CLEAR EVIDENCE, the very reason why the White House was evacuated in the first place, since it was thought on that moment this plane would hit the White House !

Other evidence of this plane flying near the White House is available from CNN and Spanish ABC. This white plane is nothing less than the military Doomsday Plane E-4B, the Pentagon in the sky...

To whoever is new in the 911 truth research, I would recommend to watch first the DVD 9/11 Mysteries Part 1: Demolitions and read The New Pearl Harbor Revisited: 9/11, the Cover-Up, and the Exposé.

What a great niche market. Last 9-11 book I read (and sorry , I don't have the title, but I've got a review of it in here somewhere) was by some British academic and associate of Noam Chomsky's. He writes that during the Clinton (!) administration plans were made with Russia (!), India (!), Saudi Arabia (!) and Iran (!!!) to topple the Taliban government. The plans were inherited by Bush and the invasion was set to go in late 2001 (!). In the same book the author states that the US invaded Afghanistan to gain pipeline routes that would avoid Iran (?). So the Iranians were going to help us screw themselves is the only conclusion I can reach. A conscientious reading of books like that one, and this one above, reveals scores of equally weird contradictions that most readers seem to prefer to ignore.

Books like this really make me wonder who, in fact, is being misled, or who dearly wants to be misled. Every "Truther" I've ever met was fully convinced the government was some vast evil conspiracy well before they cracked open their first 9-11 conspiracy book. It seems like these people are not looking for any particular truth, they're looking for confirmation of something they already believed in. There are plenty of legitimate questions to ask about 9-11, but going in with one's mind already made up is hardly the way to get answers. In fact that's a guaranteed way to miss important details.

My guess is that since Washington was under attack this big plane was circling the White House to maybe (just one speculation) line-of-sight upload everything imaginable from the White House computers, just in case the White House (or D.C.) got trashed and Presidential operations needed to be relocated. If people really want to believe that during a "conspiracy" like this the conspirators would be flying their gigantic, frightfully obvious, command and control center at low level over the White House, in plain view of everyone, well... even Evil Conspirators aren't that stupid (although it sure makes a lot of people feel good to think they're smarter than the Evil Conspirators--which might be the deep dark "truth" behind all this).

The whole Truther movement, with its complete ignorance of real world procedures, its comic book logic, and its jaw-dropping refusal to master basics like the critical differences between steel-frame and steel-core constructed buildings (or grasp the idiocy of notions like "faster than free-fall"), makes me wonder if Michael Moore wasn't actually dead-on when he claimed that Americans were the stupidest people in the world.

Five Stars for this book because, hey, maybe it's better that fans of stuff like this be kept out from underfoot, chasing will-o-the-wisps, witches, and hobgoblins. Again, there are plenty of problems with 9-11, plenty of mysteries, plenty of unanswered questions, but nobody's ever going to get to any truth reading books like this. Honestly, I really don't think too many people are very concerned about the truth here anyway.

I can't wait to read the comments on this, but my general response would be "physicians heal thyselves." Truthers have a lot of questions they need to direct at themselves. Why, for example, would a professor of engineering at Brigham Young go far out of his way to confuse steel frame and steel core contruction? To this day, no steel frame structure has ever collapsed due to fire, because the towers (and building 7) WEREN'T steel frame buildings. Why send Bush to Florida when, if the attacks were completely under the control of the conspirators, there would have been no risk to the President (and no risk of suspicion, and possibly even greater sympathy) if he'd been kept in DC? People, really try thinking outside the box here, I mean if you can, or want to.

Hard to believe that despite so much excellent data and indisputable information out there, there are still people who choose to bury their heads in the sand, ignore the truth, and make such outlandish claims as fill this book. There is no "mystery" about this plane . . . there are just some government plans (like the Continuity of Government Plan)that are not made public (for obvious reasons). If this author had bothered to do scientific, corroborated research, and talk to people who were involved that day, he would have been able to get some answers. But then he would have had nothing to write about.

Another crackpot conspiracy, and a particularly annoying one to boot. Maybe Macgyver brought the plane down with a shoelace, a penny and a paperclip.

In his book Mr. Gaffney clearly defines and documents one crucial area of specific activity on 9/11. He then dovetails it with an overview of what was transpiring and how the proven (albeit denied) existence of one or more "doomsday planes" places a potential command link of the highest order at the site of the events of 9/11.

As was pointed out in the book, this is a developing story of great complexity and much official obfuscation. The final chapter is far from written on this issue and I have been following all of the updates and latest information on Mr. Gaffney's blog. Since this is an ongoing and developing story, the book sets up any information one could glean from a site like the911mysteryplanedotcom.

If you are looking for the broadest possible collection of data to help you understand what transpired on 9/11, this book is an essential addition to your reading list.

If you are expecting an 'intelligence' related book. Search elsewhere. The first 25 or so pages in the forward are an anti-Bush rant, such as the statement concerning WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction), as if chemicals and biological weapons do not apply. Another example, on the un-numbered page between the forward and numbered pages is a picture of the 9/11 panel. Democrats are described with multiple descriptors, such as "Democrat-attorney, former chief of Watergate Task Force of Watergate Special Prosecutor's Office" or "Democrat-President of the New School University and former U.S. Senator from Nebraska" while Republicans are describes as "Republican-former Secretary of the Navy" or "Former Governor of New Jersey".
The idea of the book is a good one that should be told by an intelligence professional, not with a political spin.
After more than 32 years working the intelligence field (US Military, Department of Justice and civilian contractor), there are things the average citizen does not need to know, and these two journalists have proven that.
Look elsewhere for a good intelligence related tome, this is a liberal journalist rant against the government.

As an activist, I have intensely read and studied 911, plus America's situation with regard to economics, politics, world affairs, World Bank, globalization of poverty, peak oil, the coming economic collapse, the US rolling over into the North American Union, and so on for 7 years (including documentaries and films, link TV and free speech TV).
The 911 Mystery Plane is new information to me and is well researched and documented and, starting with page 111, very readable. The details in the first section are dizzying!

However, I was disappointed that much of the book contains discussion on other topics and is covered in other books in even greater detail. Not only that, but why is the mystery plane so important in researching 911? And... wasn't there another account of yet another mysterious white plane flying around Shanksville area just before the "crash" of flight 93? Could the author link those 2 mysterious planes?

If this was the only book that 911 questioners read, then it would be quite valuable. However, for me, I could have done with just the first 110 pages (out of 322) and skipped the rest. I first found compelling evidence about 911 in Feb, 2002 with Mike Ruppert's TRUTH AND LIES OF 911 documentary (still for sale on amazon). I subscribed to his website and bought his huge tome CROSSING THE RUBICON, The Decline of the American Empire at the End of the Age of Oil, which I still reread from time to time. To me, Crossing the Rubicon is the ESSENTIAL 911 reader from the point of view of motive, means and opportunity. It is information dense, but extremely worthwhile.

By focusing on the E-4B Doomsday seen over the White House on 9/11,at about the time of the attack on the Pentagon, Mark Gaffney discusses important new evidence, not previously revealed, of government foreknowledge of events on that day . How was the plane in the air after a National Ground Stop? Why did the E-4B not save lives by warning people at the Pentagon of the visible incoming plane? Why was it, in a prohibited area, not shot down by White House defenses? Here are many new issues for Cheney and the plane's passengers to explain. Everyone trying to get to the bottom of 9/11 should read this book, and add their voices to the demand that the new Administration launch a new and genuine investigation.

A "Pentagon in the air" if you will. An airforce Government plane the size of a 747 designed to keep the government running while airborne in light of a nuclear attack or any other potential dire National security problem.

The disturbing facts layed out here leaves a chill down your spine.

With video and photo evidence and CNN and others as witnesses, there is no disputing the fact that this plane was seen flying over the Pentagon and Whitehouse vicinity just as the attack on the Pentagon was occuring or had just occured within seconds.If the Government had the foreknowledge to have a E-4B lifted and arrival over the D.C. restricted air space at the time of the attack, then why did the 9/11 Commission leave this out of their final report?


If Government officials knew of the attack in advance, then they were complicit in not evacuating the Pentagon. The fact is officials already had enough information in advance to order an evacuation. Between the knowledge of hijacked planes,the WTC attacks, in conjunction with our now awareness of the many previous drills on possible attacks on the WTC's and the Pentagon, there is no acceptable excuse.

But this incredible piece of evidence just confirms their frightening complicit actions. There is no way around it now.

These are the questions that Mark asks and expands upon in this book.And as one reviewer before me says, he does it very well. Not only does he present clear and irrefutable evidence based on mainstream reports on the E-4B plane but he presents such information on the hijackers ("the flying patsies" as one chapter is called), the irrefutable evidence in the WTC collapses such as molten steel, whispering dust,the flawed NIST report,and on and on.

But to my biggest surprise of them all, Mark has a whole chapter on "Why the war on terror is a fraud". It is over 30 pages long and reveals how Dick Cheney stated in the late 90's how imposing sanctions (which Clinton did) on Iran "are self defeating" while Cheney's Halliburton was doing business with Iran.

How Iran, in the aftermath of 9/11 handed over (voluntarily as to help) lists of terrorists,intelligence about the Taliban's military assets which included valuable targeting information,and use of Iran's airfields. But in January 2002 just as the Afghanistan was stablizing , GWB made his infamous "Axis of Evil" speech where he included Iran along with North Korea and Iraq.

Since the 1967 Six day war, such President's Carter, Reagan, Bush senior, and Clinton had been regional peace brokers between Israel and the Palestinians. But not George W. Bush, who had a "hands off policy", and was not interested in brokering for peace with Palestine.

Gaffney goes on to explain how Israel PM Ariel Sharon most likely was a big influence since he had entered office in Feb. of 2001, just a month after W. had. Since then, it's been a catastrophe. Sharon proved to be a controversial, & a violent criminal leader.

For instance, Sharon directed a military offensive against Palestine in 2002 while the crown prince of Saudi Arabia,Abdullah - was working out a sweeping peace treaty with Israel.And even worse, Colin Powell was in Israel around this time offering peace talks and a political horizon. But Powell received a call from a Whitehouse official telling him to back off, or more precisely, that Powell was not authorized to talk about a political horizon.

Gaffney explains how Abdullah flew to Texas to confront Bush and to ask him if he was going to do anything about the Palestinian issue. Bush was evasive with his answers in which the crown prince became upset. Bush then made a promise to Abdullah that he would give the issue his upmost consideration which seemed to satisfy the prince.

But not only did Bush abandon this issue, but he also abandoned the peace treaty drafted by Abdullah and went ahead and attacked Iraq.

The most revealing information of all is NOT just how Sharon wrapped Bush around his finger but how Bush's unconditional support for Israel actually began.

A look inside President Bush's "special relationship" to Israel appeared in an Aug. 3, 2006 McClatchy wire story by Ron Hutcheson. Hutcheson interviewed Matthew Brooks, who was the executive director of the Republican Jewish Coalition in 1998, when he escorted then-Texas Gov. George W. Bush and three other GOP governors on a tour of the Middle East. It was on this trip that Bush had his first encounter with Ariel Sharon, then the Israeli Foreign Minister, who took him on a helicopter tour of the Israeli Occupied Territories.

"If there's a starting point for George W. Bush's attachment to Israel," Brooks told Hutcheson, "it's the day in late 1998, when he stood on a hilltop where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount, and, eyes brimming with tears, read aloud from his favorite hymn, `Amazing Grace.' He was very emotional. It was a tear-filled experience. He brought Israel back home with him in his heart. I think he came away profoundly moved."

Author Mark Gaffney ends this chilling chapter with this sobering thought:

Go see Bill Maher's RELIGULOUS (at least the final 5 minutes or so) and watch and listen to what Maher has to say and, whether you practice a faith or not, please take in what he has to say along with this fantastic book and the other related books, films,and articles and piece together yourself -- the armageddon agenda -- whether intentional or not, that these leaders have put forth to many unbeknownst citizens who remain alseep to what has and is going on around them.

Mark Gaffney has a writing style that helps bring the complex down to the level of the average reader. This is a must have book for anyone wanting the story that the 911 Commission did not tell. Mark is able to open the veil to the planes over Washington, DC during the morning of September 11, 2001 that the Commission was told NOT to look at.
