Great book there was never a dull moment. This book was good from beginning to end. I really loved this book. I wished the last chapter was longer and included more details about Mo's pregnancy and her relationship with boss.

This is my favorite from Keisha Ervin. I loved these characters, felt the pain and the love. Loved "Mo" and "Quan"..but "Boss"...oh yea...GREAT BOOK!!!

I found myself dreaming about this book after I read it at night! This is the first book that I have read by her and since I have gone out and copped all other's written by Ms. Ervin. An excllent story teller. I felt like this was a true story. It is my true story and so many other young couples who are or have gone through this! It not esay to walk away from what's familiar even if its not good for you and Keisha captured that exactly in this book! GREAT WRITING from someone who reads all sorts of books.

I've read and loved all of Keisha's novels, but I had to force my way through this one. The story just seemed to drag and Mo was very nerve-racking. I also noticed Keisha jacked a lot of movie scenes.

You gotta love Keisha Ervin for serving up yet another page turner, dramatic filled hood tale!!!

Mo is your quintessential ride or die chick and she will ride or die for her man Quan. But after 9 years of cheating, lying, drama, side chicks, mis-carriages, lonely nights and heartache - Mo has decided enough is enough. Don't get the game twisted though - Mo has her issues too. Her father, friends and even Quan's mother tell her to leave him alone. But he draws her back in each and everytime.

But when is enough ENOUGH - for Mo it's a dramatic turn of events that leave her shaken to the core. Will she return to Quan's arms or will she finally find the strength to stand up on her own. See for yourself - you won't be disappointed that you did.

This book was so good i couldnt put it down and when i did i thought about it 24 7 now thats the type of book i like I cryed and laughed beacause she went therw alot i would i told people about this book and they ran to get it they love it.

This book never bore me and kept me guessing. Keisha Ervin did her thing with this book.

This book is amazing. I think a lot of woman need to read this book. The author got me into the story. I became a fan of Keisha right after this.

Although I swore I would NEVER read another Triple Crown production because they are so ghetto, I picked up this book at the recommendation of a library book club. Disappointed does not begin to explain my feelings about this book.

For 270 pages, we (the readers) get to read about Quan beating Monsieur (the girl) and Sherry. The readers get to read pages of insensitivity on the part of Quan; we get to read about Quan's constant cheating and his overall azzhole appeal. A female would not be TORN; she would be stupid if she stayed with a man like Quan for 9.5 years and this is why:

Quan's bad characteristics:
1. He cheated on Mo like 5 or 10 times
2. He never came home earlier than 3 or 4 in the morning because he was either selling drugs or cheating on Mo
3. He would not come home when Mo called him and this cost Mo dearly on one particular occasion
4. He often choked or beat Mo
5. He couldn't satisfy Mo sexually

Quan's good characteristics (from the eyes of Mo):
1. He had plenty of money to keep her styling and profiling in designer gear
2. He had plenty of money to get her a nice house and car

Other than money, Quan was a unsalvageable dog. No woman in her right mind would have stayed with Quan. Thus, for the author to focus 270 pages on their relationship just made the book a huge and tiring bore.

Recommendation to the author: To make a character TORN worthy, you have to give the character likeable characteristics. Hustling drugs and walking around with drug money are not likeable characteristics.

Pros: Good writing, great character descriptions
Mo's and Zaire's relationship was off the hook; I loved them as a couple. Thus, pages 270-380 something were very well written; I was totally engrossed in that storyline.

Cons: Too long, a one noted romance does not make for a good LONG book - better to make the book shorter if the romance is going to be one noted

This book was absolutely amazing!! Not to mention well written! This is my first time reading Keisha Ervin and it definitely won't be my last!!

This is the first time that I've been at my desk with a book hidden in the corner trying to sneak peeks because it was such a page turner and I just couldn't put it down!! Sometimes, I get nervous when the book is so good because I fear the ending will be a disappointment which usually makes or breaks the book for me however, even the ending was perfect!!

I definitely recommend this book!!

I was really disappointed in this novel. I picked it up due to the 5 star ratings it received, and also because I read a previous novel by this author. Mo is the female character in the love triangle with Quan. I know we as young women can put up with a lot in relationships, but how stupid can you be. The book dragged on and on about all that Quan put her through, it doesn't take that much pain and heartache, before you wake up and smell the coffee. I just couldn't take it. I loved Me and my Boyfriend. That was memorable to me.

Now, I loved this book, this is the second book by Ms.Ervin I have read (I need to get Mina's Joint)and I am amazed and very appreciative at the authors growth and how she's come into a style of her own, I could see it in Hold U Down but she was still trying to find her way and I saw to many other authors in that one too. And once again, the designer name droppin and talking about how much something cost and every detail in peoples clothes and all that stuff could be lessened. But this book is all MISS ERVIN! And she did a great, great job! This book took me back a little I can really understand Mo's pain, the up's and the down's, the in's and the out's. Mo is wayyyy better than me though lol(accept the kid part, she was bogus for that lol). What we won't go through for love, but this was very well written, with a nice pace, not to slow, not to fast, not overly dramatized, but nicely put together you really could feel the emotions, and the supporting characters were wonderful as well and fit nicely into the book. It was emotional, funny, made you mad, I mean I was ready to jump in the book and smack dude around a little bit, then smack her around a little then hug em both! I read it in a few hours(ok so I didn't pace myself and almost burned my rice) but it was that good. I loved how it ended with nobody holding grudges or wishing ill on the other. Good going Miss Ervin, keep up the good work!

This has to be one of the best book i ever read. Torn kept me tearing through the pages, from the day i started it. The book hit so close to home because i went through the same experiance but not for 10 years. Its easy for people to say that Mo shoulda have left quan, but in all reality when you are in the situation,loves clouds your judgement. But otherwise the book kept you intrested, it made you feel like you are really there. I laughed and i cryed and i can proudly say that i am going to pass this book around to each and everyone of my friends. The book made me realize that you could easily think that you love a person,but it might be the idea of love, that makes you hang on for dear life.I WISH I CAN GIVE IT MORE THAN 5 STARS. this book deserves 100 stars.

I'm telling you one thing you MUST go get this book and read. You will not be dissappointed. I've never read a book from the author but I am now one of her fans. This book was soo good I read it in one day because I couldn't put it down. The story is a bout Mo and Quan and how their relationship was doomed from the first day they met but didn't want to see it until years later. Then Mo meets Boss, her thug in shinning armor, ready to help her pick up the pieces and show her the true meaning of the word the call LOVE! The book really shows you how Mo was TORN!!!

Ms. Keisha worked it in this book. This book was so good I had to read it twice.

This is the best book that I have read in a long time!! The stories were not so far over the top that it was unbelievable, in fact I think Ms. Earvin owes me some risidules because that was my life she was writing about (LOL). I saw me in Mo all the way to the end. I could not put this book down. I read it in one day. I was at the red light turning pages to see what was gonna happen next. Great job, keep up the good work.

This book was a easy read and kept my attention through out the whole book. Within two weeks the book has been passed on to three friends.

When I first saw this book, I wasn't sure I wanted to get it, but I did, and I was NOT disappointed. This book was so real and well written, that it had me trippin'. I read it in a day, and I went through so many emotions, I started to feel like Mo herself. We all say, I wouldn't have gone through all of that, or I would have left a long time ago, but Keisha kept it real and showed you why its not always so easy to just walk away. Thank you so much for this book Keisha, it was well worth it!

Torn is one of the best books i have read......... Keisha did her thing.......... I felt as if Mo was someone i knew........... and I love the fact that true love comes from all kinds of places............ love doesn't care about gender, race or AGE(Hint from the book). This is a great story of loving someone who is not meant for you and overcoming the past to be with the one you are meant to be with.

This was the thickest book written by Keisha Ervin. I love her writing style, she is such a great writer. I finished this book in 3 days...its a GREAT read. I recommend this book most definitely to anyone that luvs Keisha Ervin books. It is a must have and im happy that i bought it. BRAVO!!!!

YET again Keisha has written straight FIRE .... who would have known that Keisha could wright a straight novel from so many women's prospective ????? i felt like it was me and my mans relationship in words... The book was off the chart, I was so sad to see that I was on the last page.

I have a couple of Keisha Ervin books at home. When a girlfriend of mine said "I couldn't put Torn" down...I said "Huh" but at any rate I went and got the book. And to say Ms. Keisha has outdone herself is an understatement. When I first saw the size of the book. I said "What does she have to say that equals almost 400 pages"?

Torn is about Mo or Monseiur and her love affair with Quan. They have been together for 9 years. In those 9 years there have been multiple miscarriages and affairs. 9 years worth of mental, physical and emotional abuse. Just when she thinks shes done and has had enough. She takes him back. He has a child on the side that is kept in secret with another girl that he keep on the side. Whereas Mo can't any of his children to full term. Mo eventually meets a "Young Tender" by the name of Boss. Who will eventually become everything she has ever wanted or needed in a man.

This is a book where you think "How can she deal with him" when sometimes in life we all play the stupid role. This is a excellent reading book for any woman needing to look into her own life for self reflection or for her own self awareness.

First let me start by saying it took me a total of 4 days to read this almost 400 page book. This story revolves around Mo and Quan. They put one another through a alot of heartache and pain, but end up maturing and forgiving one another at the end. I promise you who ever is deciding wheter are not to purchase, this book you will not be disappointed. It just shows you sometimes the people who you think are your soul mates might not be, it also teaches you how to let go.

This was a very good book. I'm glad I listened to the other readers and picked this one up. Easy read.

I have to say this book had me hooked from the very first page..I'm usually a slow reader but I finished this book in a day and a half...I would reccommend this book to anyone who loves a good read..

This book, is one of the best books that I have read in a long time. It took me all of 2 days. I could not put it down. The sex in the book is absoultly mind blowing!!!

This book was GREAT! It kept me wanting to know more and more! I finished this book in a few days. As I was reading it, it was like reading about my true life. I been where Mo was before and it is hard to "let go". You're so torn and you have no clue what to do. Then you grow up and learn from all those mistakes that you made and let go. I love Keisha Ervin's books and I can't wait to read more from her. They keep you on the edge wanting more soon as you read the first few pages.

I love Keisha Ervin books. They give me hope. I loved this book. One thing I love about Keisha Ervin books is that she always gives us an update on how other characters from her other books are doing. I love that. This is a good "thick" read.

This book is soooooooooo good Keisha has out done herself, the characters where so real and I like the fact that all the characters were multi-dimensional I can relate 2 Quan and Mo because I been there and done that 2 many times...I am ready for another book from Ms. Ervin!!!!!!!!

I really liked the book, but it was kinda redundent. Like, the same fights about the same things over and over again. I thought Quan was a DAWG but I kinda liked him, thought he was funny. Mo, on the other hand, I didnt like her character, she was boring and spoiled
