Everyone before me has written just about everything you need to know about the book. All I can say is if you care about anything you must read this book. If you dont care about your future or the future of generations to come then skip this book and go back to reading the comics. Otherwise pick it up and read it today before it's to late to save our way of life as we know it!

I read this book despite knowing from the cover that it is full of anti Islamic views. I am just interested on what others especially Christians think of Islam. I just need to clear one thing first that this lady is a great writer, as she can convince people that this thing is for real!! I as a muslim for myself enjoyed reading this book I even ordered the audio book to hear it cause I did not want to miss a thing. I recommend this book to all Americans who really have a full idea of Islam, because he would realize how ignorant and misleading some Americans might be to get some attention and support of their believes from others.

Most of the book content is funny in a way like Nostradamus movies narrator, it feels like the author was reading it to herself by this voice for sound effects. A main point the author had misled the readers of this book picking portions of Quran with out mentioning the story behind it, every intelligent expositor of scripture knows that no passage can be fairly interpreted if it is isolated from its context. (most of her references to Quran was to indicate that Muslims main purpose of life is to kill people, while the real thing that every quote she pulled out of Quran was for a real purpose at that time to certain people).

The author was really biased, the stories were not truthful by anyhow, she clearly does not have a clue of the different between Shia and Sunni, she does not get the real radical muslims, she does not have a clear evidence except of Taqiyah (which is only used to save once life when needed). The funny thing is that any response by any muslim to her claims, her response would be: you are using Taqyiah to convince me that am wrong, which is ofcourse an argument ender!! She claimed some strange figures of number of deaths caused by Islamic wars in the middle age, and supported the figures by some openly anti-muslim organizations statistics!!

All I can say is that this book is targeting people that want to believe that muslims are the bad guys in this world and this is why they bought it in the first place, I recommend reading it and research for another book from a muslim's point of view. Try to research for the real Islamic history, get the real story of the prophet Mohammed.

Note: I am only here to give a review of this book, I can give evidence of her misleading facts but this is not the purpose of a review in here, actually any seventh grader in a muslim country can response to her claims verbally about the history of Islam easily with perfectly clear facts

We, as Americans need to stop all of the P.C. protocols if we are to do something about the spread of Islamic Terrorism. One government reports says that there are about 2,000 mosques in our country. 10% of these mosques are actively teaching the overthrow of our way of life. One of our cities in Michigan has even allowed the practice of sharia law over our American law and Constitution.

This author, in her own way, is trying to sound the alarm. We must listen to her because of her experiences, her understanding and her concern that we are NOT paying attention to history.

These radical Islamists are like nothing we have ever encountered in the history of our country. Common logic, law, respect, and treatment are NOT applicable to their beliefs and way of life. We (non-Muslims) are the absolute ENEMY and they will NOT be appeased until we all follow MUSLIM sharia law.

Nothing less than the total overthrow of our country, religions and way of life will do for these enemies of America.

Unless we WAKE UP and DO SOMETHING about this growing threat we will lose.

They say, life is suppose to be fun and enjoyable. The problem is we are being mostly influanced by political correctness and not the truth. Then we ask, why is life so hard for some, and easy for others? This author tells the truth, from cover to cover. No need to read between the lines in this book. I recommend this book to all peoples throughout the world.

Basic value systems and ideologies are reviewed with great detail in this must read book. Ms. Gabriel's experience, insight and analysis is worthy of your time if you care about the future of the USA. We have been blessed to live in a country where many have sacrificed their lives for democracy, freedom of speech and religion. We live in the most tolerant country in the world. It would be ashamed to naively loose our fought for freedoms and rights. We are definitely in the battle for our country and knowledge of our opponents is critical. Recent legislation regarding hate crime in thought and action needs to be taken seriously, especially when responding to any movement that indoctrinates followers to militant means to force their agenda on others. Ms. Gabriel asks us to consider the facts and prepare to stand up for a heritage that is unmatched anywhere on this globe. I would encourage you to read, think and act upon Ms. Gabriel's observations.

This book not only gives the facts of the history and the mind set of radical Islam, but it is well written so that it will captivate your attention through the last page. If there is still anyone blind enough to not understand that as Non-Muslins the radical Muslins have declared war us, this book will explain how, why, and what can be done about it.

...who is literally risking her life to warn us of the dangers we face, just like one of the prophets of old. Nobody in their right mind does what she is doing for money; she truly understands the value of freedom and what its loss would mean. Today, nothing is more dangerous than publicly speaking out against and exposing the intentions of the Radicals. If we don't wakeup and listen we will suffer the consequences.

I don't know if selective verses in the Qur'an were placed out of their proper historical context or not in this book as one reviewer stated. And I don't know much of Arabic and Islamic history. But what I and most others care about mostly are the things that effect us in the here and now. The important point is how the radical Muslims themselves are interpreting the verses TODAY to justify the violence and oppression against not only infidels but other Muslims as well. The news is filled almost daily with how they view the meaning of these verses. They are not shy about quoting them. The author need only (and she does) echo their own recorded words to prove her points. Some may say that the radicals don't speak for them, but the loud radicals, not the mostly quiet moderates, are setting the agenda in our understanding of the Muslim world.

I personally have heard moderate Muslims say that although they are against violence, they do want to see Muslim rule in this country but by peaceful, incremental gradual takeover. The author is (among other things) bringing to our attention what is currently being said and written of by Muslims and the dangers that they pose all around us to take away our freedoms. The author states the truth, which should be obvious to all, that whether through violence or through peaceful means the goal of all true Muslims is the same, the establishment of a worldwide ruling Sharia government, a Caliphate. A complacent, politically correct public will be their greatest ally in their hoped for success.

A self-hating Lebanese-American (yeah, hyphen on purpose Gabrielle) espousing hate of other cultures, Islam in particular for this book, and other ethnicities. Additionally, she's a child of Franco-admiring Falangists so she's dirt in my book.

I have not read either of her books, but I just heard her speak on the radio and she said all I needed to know. This woman has psychological problems and self-loathing is just one of them. (I can only image her facial expressions as she spoke!) This woman makes Martin Scorsese seem like he's stuck in first gear! Get that coffee mug out of her hand! If her speeches were to be transcribed, they would be one long run-on sentence!

13,000 Muslim terrorists smuggled across our southern border!!!??? RRRRrrrrrrrright! And of course, that racist and nativist ROGER HEDGECOCK, fails to ask her to back up her absurd claim!

Thumbs way, way down!

Ms. Gabriel stays objective in her presentation, but pulls no punches. She points out that "moderate" Muslims are not the ones in charge, nor are they willing to speak up within their own communities for fear of retaliation. She shows clearly that "radical" Islam is based on the plain sense of the Quran, not on something being imposed on it. She brings out equally clearly what non-Muslims need to do if we are not to have our grandchildren bowing to Mecca. A scary read, but sometimes the truth is just that--very frightening.

This woman's assessment is not objective in the least bit and her understanding of Arabic and Islamic history is obviously deficient. The selective use of verses in the Qur'an without placing them in historical context is in and of itself a proof of the weaknesses of her arguments and propositions.

I'm a big reader, and I've read a ton of books over the years...books on current events, politics, war, social issues, fiction...etc. And I can honestly say I have never been do deeply struck by the words of an author as I was when I read Gabriel's book "They Must be Stopped." Never before have I wanted to literally order more copies..even if it meant paying for them out of my own pocket... to give out to family, friends, and even neighbors or co-workers. Never before have I felt called to action in such a real way.
The issues presented within this book transcend political and ideological lines...or at least they should....because what's at stake is the very future of free societies the world over.

Please read this book and then give it to someone you care about to do the same

Early in the book Gabriel gives a very informative history of Islam, beginning with the birth of Mohammad. She gives the lie to the westerner's notion that Islam in a religion of peace and justice. Being fluent in the Arabic language, she points out that the Arabic words used in this case for "peace" and "justice" have a meaning far different from our normal understanding of the notions. In fact here, peace
signifies a world in which Islam reigns supreme and therefore all is peaceful. Justice describes the imposition of Sharia law under worldwide Islam.

She continues by building a strong, heavily documented case that vigilance and action are urgently required if the west is to remain free and democratic in nature, that the devout Muslims will not stop their quest by both peaceful and warring means until their goal of universal Islam is attained.

Gabriel's book is very important. Except in rare cases, even the well educated westenrer is pitifully ignorant of the case that she puts before her reader.

Ms Gabriel is one of the many pathetic sellouts of our age. She is trading on her history and culture and bashing them for bigots in America as a means to make a living. No religion is good or evils standing alone. Religion... in fact all religions are tools which people can use to elevate themselves, or like drugs, they can be misused to harm the user and others around them. It is sad that there is a market for people who turn on the people who raised you, wiped the poop off your underwear and fed you when you couldn't be exploited by the West. Clearly this lady is out of sync with the US government and the Obama administration who say Islam and freedom of religion is as American as apple pie. Hate is un-American and uncivilized. These are lessons someone needs to teach gullible people, like Ms Gabriel, who peddle hate and make the world a worst place, just for a few dollars.

Every american should reads this book carefully. Especially those who think they can reason with an unreasonable foe. That includes the white house occupant.

This thought-provoking work stands on its own as a guide to and polemic against Islamist expansionism. For background and deeper insight, I would however recommend Because They Hate, Brigitte's autobiography that covers her childhood in Lebanon. Westerners do not understand the culture and psychology of the Middle East, even in this information age. Since most countries in that region are under authoritarian or totalitarian rule, the citizens are for the most part ignorant of concepts like individual and religious liberty, tolerance and the rule of law. These virtues are in fact interpreted and portrayed as weaknesses. In addition, it's in the interest of the despots to incite hatred against the outsider in order to distract attention from the poverty and misery that they have caused.

The author unravels cluster upon cluster of misconceptions about jihad, boldly analyses the movement's history, identifies its basic beliefs, provides ample warning about the peril facing the free world and shows how to contain and counteract it. One of the book's most valuable features is a guide to jihadi formations around the world: where they are based, who their backers are and what they're targeting. This is not a matter of Right or Left but a very real threat that ought to unite all those who value Western civilization.

The first part deals mainly with controversial civil rights issues regarding the identification and apprehension of terrorists. Both Presidents Bush and Obama maintain that Islam is a religion of peace of which the minority of extremists is not representative. Gabriel disputes this view, arguing that it more closely resembles a totalitarian ideology and that many moderates are unfamiliar with certain aspects of their own belief system. Violence is not condoned only by a fundamentalist fringe but widely approved of as integral to an inherently expansionist faith that is resurgent under the direction of highly motivated leaders. Her analysis is supported by the facts of history and quotes from the movement's source documents.

The author proceeds to reveal the tactics of front organizations. The ultimate goal of both the terrorists and the perceived 'moderates' is a worldwide caliphate under Sharia Law. She exposes the various ways in which western institutions and governments are infiltrated. Petrodollars fund both the violent and non-violent approaches. The difference is that some of the 'moderates' pursue the same goal by means of propaganda, recruitment and negotiating special concessions that run counter to the laws of the host society. For decades the free world has received ample warning through plane hijackings, terrorist acts, murders of civilians, the Iranian Revolution and Taliban rule in Afghanistan but not even 9/11 has properly woken up the West. The 2006 Danish cartoon uproar and the large-scale civil unrest & vandalism in Europe since 2005 should serve as further warnings.

The oppression of women and minority groups in ME societies is vividly portrayed as is the racism that is closely associated with slavery. Ayaan Hirsi Ali who as a child lived in Saudi Arabia for a while, confirms these sad facts in her book Infidel. The West's postmodernist mindset has opened the gates for multiculturalism to be used as a weapon against it and as a shackle to render it defenseless. The way this works is brilliantly revealed by Stephen Hicks in Explaining Postmodernism. It is vitally important that defenders of freedom understand the concepts of "At-Taqqiyya" and "Ad-Dawa." The first is the craft of deception or permissible lying in order to promote the movement whilst the second is the process of gradual conversion. Networks of charities, madrassas and hospitals have been established throughout the West for this purpose.

The movement has successfully infiltrated the prison systems in Europe & the USA whilst Middle East Studies departments at universities are lavishly funded by oil-rich states, and Sharia-compliant finance is making inroads where it matters. Londonistan by Melanie Phillips exposes how the UK has become a Jihadist financial centre. Western propagandists of the resurgent faith have tried their utmost to hide the facts, undermine the truth and shut down debate. Amongst them is the ever-pious Jimmy Carter who persists in spreading disinformation, scapegoating Israel and saying 'peace' when there is no peace.

A stirring call to action, the book in its two final chapters also proposes a variety of feasible & sensible countermeasures to halt the infiltration. These include monitoring the hate literature produced & distributed by educational institutions, legislation to protect the police & security services so they may prioritize the physical safety of citizens, and close scrutiny of Sharia Banking and its tangled webs. Above all, the habit of political correctness must be challenged; the first duty of a government is to ensure the safety of its people. By now it ought to be clear from the European example that tolerance of intolerance simply fuels more intolerance. The causes & effects of this dangerous cycle are amongst the symptoms of societal decay examined by The French philosopher Chantal Delsol in her compelling books Icarus Fallen and The Unlearned Lessons of the 20th Century.

If you are interested in why we are where we are in world affairs today, then this book is for you. If you do not understand Islam, I would think BG's first book would be better ("Because They Hate"). Both are not political; rather, they are simple straight forward presentation of documented facts from one who not only studied Islam, but who has lived it.

Great condition and right on time. Bridget nails it again on her take of radical Islam.

The scenarios described in this book would be scary if they were only half right. Two days after I finished it, the Hawaii state senate passed a resolution designating a day as "Islam Day". It was a shocking confirmation that our ignorance and PC thinking will not help us fight the growing threat strict Islam presents to the U.S.

Read this book, act on its advice and most of all, spread its message to friends and family.

This is a good book with lots of info and plenty of history. Don't believe the negative reviews, she can back everything up. The last 30 or so pages are all footnotes and sources cited. She explains the history of Islam and it's plans for the future. Very scary.

excellent book on the biggest danger ever to confront the Western World.
All Western governments should be forced to read this and take steps to avert a catastrophe in our non muslim world.

Having read Brigitte Gabriel's book, "Because They Hate", I became very interested in the threat of radical Islam. Her book was basically a very chilling biography of her life in Lebanon from her beginning as a happy, young Christian girl to her nightmare of a life throughout her teen years as a virtual captive of the muslim murderers who destroed her once-beautiful country. With that background I looked forward with great anticipation to reading her next book, "They Must Be Stopped."

In this book she documents the ultimate goals of Islam to rule the world and rid itself of ALL infidels and establish a caliphate to control the lives of the entire world to worship one God, Allah. This book is not a biography nor a story...it's a primer on what Islam's goals are and makes one aware of all the trickery and deceit being perpertrated on an ignorant and uninterested populace as we slowly fall prey to the followers of Mohammed.

I found "They Must Be Stopped" to be fascinating, interesting, educational and instructive in our struggle to maintain our way of life in the west. I recommend it highly!

This book should be mandatory reading by the entire President of the United States staff and all 535 members of Congress. The author knows the facts of the enemy we are fighting in this World War of survival. The western world in order to suvive must know the enemy. Unlike Pogo, the enemy is Islam not us.

If you love America, please read this book. Brigitte Gabriel, will open your eyes to what Radical Islam is trying to do to the country that we all love.

It's really sad to have people who claim to be "advocates" of my beautiful country to write something like in this book with full of hatred and ignorance about islam and muslim fellows also at large in our community in which we interact every day and find goodness, friendship, sharing and a genuine smile but nothing else.
It's so unjust to judge all muslims for the wrong doings of very few minority radicals. When you read the book it feels like the author is no different than those who she hates. She's as intolerable and full of hatred as those addressed in the book but only on the opposite side.
The radicals exist in all faith groups. That's not the fault of the religion but the minds of people who misinterpret it that's 99% due to the ignorance.
I love my country. We have the most diverse society in the world. That's what has made america "AMERICA" today. So we owe our prosperity to all "Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus and all others" who advanced our society with their hard work, beautiful heritage and culture. What a beautiful community this is, isn't it? I'm proud to be an "American" by living in such community.
No one has the right to claim the ownership of freedom to him or herself that this land of freedom has to offer to every single individual who lives on this premises.
We need dialog more than ever but definitely not these kinds of books.
Thank God we still have the majority of people who don't give a credit to this kind of book.

Brigitte's first book was an expose on the cultural bankruptcy of the Islamic world. Her current book tends to be a treatise directed at the theological narratives that exist in the Koran, and as well as the Islamic doctrines that underpin the Radical Islamist agenda.

I found "They must be Stopped" to be a drier read then her first book. Not that her style of writing was poor (her style is in fact excellent), but rather I found the theological study of the precepts within Islam to be boring. "Because they Hate" tended to be a better book because it kept your interest at a much higher level; with an expose of Islamic culture that no horror story writer could ever match.

I would also recommend Robert Spencer's "The truth about Muhammad". This book exposes Muhammad's life in a neutral and objective manner. Moreover, like in "Because they Hate", your interest will remain high with all the beheadings, torture, rape, war booty, double dealings, slavery, concubines, night visions, Satanic verses, revenge and final victory (all with Allah's blessings of course).

Brigitte nonetheless has some passages that are on fire, like Page 61:

"[Muslims] are repulsed by Western societies that permit free sex, drugs, prostitution, nudity, and especially a woman's right to be a man's equal. They are repulsed by Western women's freedom, their dress code, and their independence. The position of women in the West is abhorrent in Islam's view and gives fuel to those purists who want to bring Allah's justice to earth and punish those who gave women such freedom and undermined God's will."

And if you think this is some kind of anti-Islamic propaganda, read it for yourself in the Hadith (Tabari IX:113) p. 171:

"Allah permits you to shut them in separate rooms and to beat them, but not severely. If they abstain, they have the right to food and clothing. Treat women well for they are like domestic animals and they possess nothing themselves. Allah has made the enjoyment of their bodies lawful in his Koran."

Well at least on one point I am in agreement with Muhammad (p. 173):
"... I looked at Hell and saw that the majority of its inhabitants were women."

As the Iraq war winds down, and the American public's attention wanders away from The Jihad, Brigitte Gabriel's new book spells out why inattention to Islamic terrorism is a profound mistake. In truth, we've heard these warnings many times before--the book feels like it was published in 2002 or so. And for someone who grew up under the shadow of Muslim oppression in Lebanon, she relies a lot on Westerners like Daniel Pipes, Steve Emerson, Robert Spencer and other agitators against The Jihad.

More problematic is her overwhelmingly negative capsule history of Islam. She makes it sound like Genghis Khan and the Mongol hordes, but, since she is from one of the populations conquered by Islam, this is pardonable. She is right to say that the main problem is the West's too easy acceptance of Islam as a non-threatening sister civilization which has been hijacked by a few extremists.

We've heard this bill of indictments against radical Islam before, but we need to hear it again. Ms. Gabriel's status as a victim of Islam gives her a special authority to be heard--would anyone wish the last 40 years of Lebanon's history on their own country? Let them think twice about unrestricted Muslim immigration, then. The war against The Jihad is not over, and They Must Be Stopped is a timely if unfashionable reminder of this blunt fact.

I've read several other books on Islam, and this one rounded out what I've been learning with the author's personal experiences and first hand knowledge of what it's like to live in a Muslim country. She also did an impressive job of delineating trends and choices by the American and European governments that brought us to where we are today. A highly recommended read for everyone!

This is an excellent book for someone that believes that Muslims are just ' missunderstood '. Read in conjunction with Usual and Cruel Punishment by Nonie Darwish. Two truly frightening books.

Rather than write a lengthy review I will just say that everyone who is peace loving and wants to live in a harmonious and safe world should [MUST] read this book.

She writes clearly and succinctly and makes a very clear and indisputable point for fighting Islamofascism.

I have to wonder if the people who gave bad reviews have even read the book or if they are just part of the hatemongers that are trying to discredit her.

You have to read this book, as simple as that !

I heard the author of this book ranting on the The Michael Savage radio show and I had to see what was in her book. I found nothing but more rants about how everyone is supposed to fear Muslims. We have madmen in the world, terrorists, people who claim to be following Islam that kill innocent people. This is a fact and nobody can dispute it. The other fact, which is ignored by Ms. Gabriel, is that there are Muslims, who are the majority, that are against terrorism and would never kill an innocent person.

Muslims who believe that everyone should be forcibly converted to Islam or die are extremists. The people who paint all Muslims with the "extremist" brush are also extremists themselves. She makes this clear on page 72 when she says that terrorists are not following a radical version of Islam but they are implementing Islam "at its core." If you believe this, then take a trip down to your local mosque and see for yourself if this is true. If all of the 1.5 billion Muslims are really terrorists, then every mosque in America should be centers of terror, but I doubt this.

Some of the things she says are amusing. On page 41, she criticizes Jimmy Carter for stating the fact that the Shah of Iran abused human rights. She says that Carter overlooked the fact that the Shah "implemented laws similar to that of a democratic society." So what she is saying is that the Shah may have abolished the multi-party system of government, held suspects prisoners without due process, and used the SAVAK to interrogate and torture political opponents, but the Carter administration failed to observe that Iranian women were allowed to walk the streets wearing short dresses and makeup. This is the blatantly biased person who is lecturing us on what Islam is about.

On page 83, she quotes the Quran from chapter 5 verse 33 which she claims says "The punishment for those who wage war against Allah and his Prophet and make mischief in the land is to murder them..." The word in Arabic "igtiloo" is translated as murder when the word should be killed. When lawyers want to make a case against someone in court, they often bend the truth and avoid anything which may harm their case as Ms. Gabriel avoids mentioning verse 32 in the same chapter which says that killing one innocent person is equivalent to killing all of mankind. She also avoids mentioning verse 8 in chapter 5 which says "let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just, that is next to faithfulness." That is what Islam is about; justice. Every verse which says to kill is for the sake of justice, not murder and mayhem. Imam Khomeni may have told his followers that Allah taught us to kill, but he forgot to mention that Allah taught us only to kill when we are forced to. Allah also taught us to be kind to our neighbors, take care of the poor people and abstain from drinking alcohol and from doing immoral and lewd activities.

The Prophet Muhammad said that we should seek the "Middle Path" and never stray into extremism. Please seek this path by reading Islam for the Western Mind by Richard Henry Drummond, a Christian Presbyterian Pastor. This will offset the one-sidedness you will have experienced with this book.

I loved her opinion and felt her pain in regards to what hapened in her country. Great point of view.

Hearing the author's passionate voice on public radio and then seeing the book in the bargain bin for $4.99, I thought "why not". The book took me less then two days worth of spare time to read, so it is a quick and easy read. The book does get very repetitive, especially on things used as examples (Arguments). What this book needed was a little perspective, for example: other countries don't like us, they fear us, without our far superior military we would just be another pawn in this chess game we call life, instead of the king. My bottom line for this book is: It's not a happy book to read, there is a lot of hate and fear in it, you might want to read something less negative; you don't have to be a rocket scientist (or read this book) to figure out that they hate us and we spend billions upon billions of dollars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Try instead:Prisoner of Tehran: One Woman's Story of Survival Inside an Iranian Prison.

Although is it sad to see this trend in so called "civilized countries" and so called "educated authors" but I think the only right think about this book is the title and the people who should be stopped are people who promote hate through their ignorance! Brigitte does not know anything about Islam and is using her writing skills to gain on her behalf. I thank Allah that the United states is the No. 1 in the world growing population of Muslims who are converting from Christianity (20,000/ year) based on the UN statistic. Just because they took some time to get educated about the world they live in from non-poisoned ideas from the corrupted media. God be with anybody who believes anything in this book!

ITS ABOUT BIGOTRY!

The war on terrorism is a war against bigotry. Its a war that cannot be won unless we deal with Yasser Arafat and the PLO. Bigotry is a terrible thing; no one appreciates being discriminated against. Imagine, however, someone hating you so much that they refuse to even recognize your very existence. Conversely, imagine being told if you did precisely as you were instructed, your right to exist would be recognized. Israel has faced this catch-22 situation since her rebirth in 1949.

Millions of Arab bigots are propagating as true the diabolical lies quoted by Hitler from Mein Kampf and the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Arab children are being taught that all wars are caused by the Jews, that the Jews invented AIDS, that Jews attacked America on September 11 th and blamed it on the Arabs, and that America went to war against Iraq to appease the Jews. While this sounds ridiculous to us, it is accepted as truth in Arab lands.

The truth is the Baghdad Bobs of the Middle East feed these myths and conspiracy theories to the masses daily. These fabrications are believed as the Gospel, and used to inflame Palestinian children to commit violent acts against the Jews. Children play death games, collect terrorist cards (complete with pictures of suicide bombers), and fantasize about killing Jews to reclaim al-Quds (Jerusalem.)

And it doesnt stop with pretense! At least two-dozen children under the age of 18 have perished as suicide bombers; children as young as 11 have been enlisted as mules to smuggle bomb-making supplies into Israel. The two young Palestinians who carried out the most recent attack in Ashdod were 17-years-old.

In 1997, I wrote an opinion piece for the Wall Street Journal entitled, Wheres the Outrage? The article outlined the fact that the world continued to tolerate Arafats speeches calling for one million martyrs to liberate Jerusalem. Yet today, Arafats Palestinian Authority uses the television airwaves to encourage children of all ages to become Shahada suicide martyrs.

Money keeps Arafat in power! Since 1994, he has kept a tight grip on $5.5 billion dollars of international aid that has flowed into Palestinian coffers. He dispenses his wealth to would-be martyrs, as well as to purchase 50-ton shipments of weapons from Iran. Arafats critics are either paid off, or murdered. According to Israeli intelligence, Arafats personal holdings are reported at $1.3 billion. This includes a 23 percent stake in a casino in Jericho (estimated worth - $28.5 million), 20 percent of a Tunisian telecom company (estimated at $50 million), and a $55 million share of a firm that controls most of the cement imported into the territories.

Every six months, President Bush has an opportunity to allow the Anti-terrorism Act of 1987 to become law. The time has come for Mr. Bush to refuse to sign another waiver on this resolution, and allow it to be enacted. This document places the PLO firmly where it belongs; on the terrorist list. This Act would hold Arafat and his entire terrorist cartel accountable, and stop PLO terrorists from entering the U.S. under diplomatic immunity. It is time for President Bush to freeze Arafats $1.3 billion in PLO funds, and pay compensation to the survivors of Americans killed by Arafat.

As far back as February 12, 1986, a letter was sent from 47 Senators to the U. S. Justice Department demanding that Arafat be indicted for the murder in Khartoum, Sudan, of Ambassador Cleo Noel, and charge daffaires, C. Curtis Moore. To date, no action has been taken; but there is no statute of limitations on murder. It must also be noted that the U.S. State Department has an audiotape of Arafats order to have the American diplomats killed.

God bless President George W. Bush for refusing to invite Arafat to the Bush White House. He has drawn a line in the sand on this issue. Now it is time to send Arafat to The Hague to stand trial alongside Milosovic.

In order to win the war on terrorism, America must fight a war on bigotry. The same bigotry that kills Jews also kills Christians. We discovered that on 9/11. For all the Arab bigots who call themselves patriotic Americans, and who dont like the signing of this document, the President needs to refuse to recognize their right to exist as an American, and send them back to their countries of origin.


The abrupt reversal in United States policy on negotiating with Iran and Syria, announced Tuesday by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, is a slap in the face to our allies in the war against terrorism and signals the perpetrators of barbarism that terrorism pays.

Rices move came in response to the Iraqi governments invitation to a pair of regional conferences. The first meeting, at the ambassadorial level, is to be held this month, followed by her sitting down with the foreign ministers of Iran and Syria at a second meeting in April.

How different from Rices statement in January on the improbability of a dialogue with Iran and Syria: "The only reason to talk to us would be to extract a price, and that's not diplomacy, that's extortion," she told the German magazine Der Spiegel, when asked about a similar international conference promoted by the Iraq Study Group.

Also in January, Rice told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that "the problem here is not a lack of engagement with Syrians but a lack of action by Syria. . . . If the government in Teheran wants to help stabilize the region -- as it now claims -- then it should end its support for violent extremists."

What happened to Rices own division of the region between "mainstream" states, such as Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and "extremists" such as Iran and Syria? She had not considered approaching Iran and Syria through diplomacy, but said the US would seek to isolate them unless they changed their ways.

Isnt this the same Iran whose main export to Iraq is terrorist infiltrators and the arms they use to kill innocent Iraqi civilians and American soldiers? Isn't this the same Syria whose porous border and loyalty to its Iranian ally ensure a continuing flow of suicide bombers and whose capital, Damascus, is the seat of the united nations of the worldwide jihad? Whatever happened to the Bush Doctrine on terrorism?

For one thing, this doctrine has been proudly championed, and at great sacrifice, by our troops on the ground in Iraq. Retired Vice Adm. John M. McConnell, the director of national intelligence, told the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday that Iran's contributing weapons to Iraqi militias "raises the cost to the United States" of its fighting in Iraq. In other words, the Iranians that Secretary Rice wants to engage in dialogue are murdering American soldiers.

Where did this about-face come from? The December recommendations of the bipartisan Iraq Study Group, led by former secretary of state James Baker and former congressman Lee Hamilton, were largely ignored by the administration, particularly its call for such a regional meeting on Iraq.

Suddenly President George W. Bush has jumped into bed with a resurrected Baker. This is the same James Baker who persuaded the first president Bush to pressure Israel to absorb 39 Iraqi Scud missile attacks during the Gulf War and then betrayed Israel by freezing a $10 billion in loan guarantees, paralyzing the government of then prime minister Yitzhak Shamir. It was Baker who dragged Israel by the neck to the disastrous 1991 Madrid peace conference and now he's doing it again.

Baker through Rice has just sent a signal to all Islamic fascist regimes that terrorism and bigotry pays. It goes without saying that the only country not going to be invited to the conference is Americas ally and the only democracy in the Middle East, Israel which is also the only country being threatened with extinction by Iran. Make no mistake: the State Departments about-face is going to feed Iranian anti-Semitism, just as State Department policy during World War II encouraged Adolf Hitler by refusing to act against his plan to destroy the Jews.

Now an Islamofascist dictator is threatening the Jewish state with another Holocaust as it races to arm itself with nuclear weapons, and Secretary Rice is flushing the Bush Doctrine on terrorism into the cesspool of history. Bush is buying a morally bankrupt Baker plan, just as his daddy did, with the worlds two worst terrorist states waiting to be rewarded by the US for their crimes.

At a meeting in Iraq in January with Minister of State Karim Sinjari, I was told that tens of thousands of Iranian agents have infiltrated throughout Iraq, and that their number is augmented by hundreds of thousands of Iranians. He told me that Iran is working with Syria, a Sunni state, to kill Iraqis, and with the Shiites to pit one group against another. Most government officials told me they would be killed by Iranian agents if they talked to me on the record. Osama bin Laden must be celebrating at this gift from the US State Department.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates has declared that the US is preparing to stop Iran from fostering violence in Iraq. For that matter, the US also has been preparing to stop Irans nuclear proliferation, with no notable success. Inviting Condoleezza Rice to chat with the two main, unrepentant sponsors of terrorism in Iraq and the rest of the world is just an invitation to view another act in the theater of the absurd.

A great book, informing us of the Islam religion. Her first hand experiences are told in such a way, you dont want to put the book down. I am thankful for what I have learned.

also read "Cruel and Usual Punishment; the terrifying global implications of islamic law" by Nonie Darwish. There is no greater book on the source of islams deeply flawed ideology. these laws are to blame for the human rights violations, especially with women, and the relations between muslims and non muslims. must read.

THEY MUST BE STOPPED -- Is a Must Read for all Americans.

We are in a war -- without knowing about it.

This book identifies -- our enemy.

This is indeed a great book and it's a must read for everyone! Radical Islam is the greatest threat to international security and national security that we are facing and it must be stopped!

A few points:

1) Brigitte Gabirel has moral clarity in this fight against Islamofascism. She has the advantage of coming from a background -- she is a Christian from Lebanon -- that gives her a unique insight into the dangers of Islamic intolerance. She understands the stakes and is ready to stand up for Western civilization.

2) This book is a good primer on Islam's contempt for women, the (imperialist, pedophile) prophet Muhammad, the 'stealth jihad' in Europe, America, and South America, and the Arab world's difficult time moving into the modern world. However, sometimes she makes the dire error of substituting the word 'Muslims' for 'Islam.' We must remember that most Muslims are not hardliners or literalists. Whether they are on solid theological grounding or not, most Muslims around the world do not seek to harm us. However, as Gabriel rightly points out: there were plenty of moderate Germans. A fat lot of good that they did us. Still, that did not make moderate Germans Nazis, and not all Muslims are Islamofascists.

3) There is one glaring piece of misinformation: Gabriel keeps asserting that Sunni groups such as al-Qaeda are dedicated to seeing the "Muslim Messiah" (huh?) the Mahdi (the 12th imam of Shi'a Islam) return. She mindlessly lumps in Hezbollah, Hamas, al-Qaeda, and the Iranian regime, which, she claims, inspired the modern jihad by radicals. Although the four have a tangled web together, it is absolute nonsense to say that al-Qaeda and Hamas are adherents to Twelver Shi'ism. The Mahdi is (1) Not the "Islamic Messiah," and (2) Not a part of Sunni Islam. Besides this glaring error -- really, you can skip Chapter 6 for this reason -- the book is pretty much spot-on, if sometimes a bit general.

3.5 stars. Rated 3 to pull down the average.

This book is a real eye-opener!
Every American voter and especially every politician should read this book! Ms Gabriel makes it clear that complacency is very dangerous for our country and will ultimately lead to it's downfall.
Very informative and educational, yet an easy read.

This should be (another) wake up call to the civilized world. How many will we get, I wonder? My fear is that we will ignore this warning as we have all the others. If we follow our usual pattern we will dither and bumble along as we are now until the situation becomes desperate, then expend hundreds of billions of dollars in wealth and millions of lives to stop a disaster that could have been prevented at much lower cost by heeding Brigitte Gabriel's warning. Or, even worse, wait until it's too late and find ourselves paying the jizyah or converting to Islam at the point of a sword and, in either case, living under Sharia.

"It is not yet politically correct to talk about a religious war. But this is exactly what we are facing; a religious war declared by devout Muslims." pp 70-71

Brigitte Gabriel's second book, "They Must Be Stopped", is a powerful critique of the West's historic foe, Islam. It expands upon and further defines issues raised in her first work, "Because They Hate." In that unforgettable autobiography she related in detail her horrible experiences growing up in the very heart of Islamic terror and war in 1970s Lebanon.

This new work, "They Must Be Stopped" is a non-stop blazing polemic against Muslim ideology. It stands alone as a self-contained and convincing argument; but is better appreciated if the more personal "Because They Hate," is read first.

Ms. Gabriel devotes the first 70 pages of "They Must Be Stopped" to the most controversial issue surrounding the identification of Islamic "terrorists." The official U.S. position, enunciated by both President Bush and Barack Obama, is that Islam is a peaceful religion that has been "perverted" (Obama's term) by a relatively few radicals. This view is what might be described as the "received wisdom" in the Western world.

In these first 70 pages Ms. Gabriel argues that Islam itself is a terrorist religion, and the "peaceful" Muslims are not really Muslims at all, but people who do not understand the basic tenets of their own belief system. Her argument about this central point is incontrovertible. She quotes not only chapter and verse from the Islamic canon, but recounts the history of the Islamic expansion. As Samuel Huntington has said and Ms. Gabriel describes, the borders of Islam are bloody.

The author is not just an armchair pundit. She has founded two organizations which now have hundreds of chapters in the U.S. and internationally. The "nuts and bolts" of how to do this organizing are detailed in the final part of the book. Her goals are to educate and to lobby against the insidious Islamic threat.

Her organizations are growing exponentially. This growth is due not only to her clear thinking and writing, but to her presence as a leader and speaker.. She is an exotically beautiful Lebanese woman. I say this without fear of being politically incorrect. A liberal critic accused her of putting a glamorous photo of herself on the cover of her book as a cheap sales gimmick. She laughed at the statement, replying , "In Lebanon we were raised to be glamorous, feminine and sensual...." Ms. Gabriel knows who she is and what she stands for; she is using all of her attributes and abilities to further her cause.

For those of us who consider the current worldwide resurgence of "real" Islam an existential threat to Western civilization, Brigitte Gabriel is a religious warrior of the highest order. Using ideas and words as her weapons she is a crusader in the best sense of the word; opposing a religion that would, if it could, take us back to the dark ages of barbarism.

Let me be clear, that as an atheist, I find the Bronze-Age rooted desert spawned theism of Islam as savage and extreme as its Jewish and Christian forbears. Numbers 31: 15-18 gives us a fair example of the barbarian blood-lust underpinning Judaism and Christianity and of the glass houses that Jews and Christians live in when they throw holier-than-thou stones at the violent texts of Islam.

That said, I am an admitted Islamophobe - I DO fear the spread of islam. I watch and understand that the international community of Muslims (Ummah) strives with varying degrees of fanaticism for hegemony over all other ways of being through a systematic ratcheting up of aggressive confrontation and usurpation. Unique among modern-day major faiths, Islam roots and cheers for the decimation of all that differs with the Koranic version of how human beings should live.

Wherever Islam gains a foothold, intolerance, oppression, suffering and slaughter follow. The Muslim made a wasteland out of his land, then he laid waste to the land of his neighbor; now he seeks to do the same to ours. I may disagree on many fundamental political and religious levels with the author of this book, but on this I could not agree more: They must be stopped!

This book is truly a must read for all Americans. The author B. Gabbiel has lived under the Islamic way of life and lay's it on the line as to what to expect if we dont stop the flow of MUSLIMS into this Country. It states of the hatred that is preached in the MOSQUES and MADRSSAS in this Country against our way of life. If they the MUSLIMS continue to over take the WORLD then we all will be time machined back to the 7th century.

This book answers those questions for me. Radical Islam is not new, but it is far more threatening today for a variety of reasons. One of which is what many realize is the head-in-the-sand approach of most western governments, their leaders, and the populations in general. This book will force you to pull your head out of the sand. But I warn you, don't read it just before you go to bed. It will give you more nightmares than a good Steven King book because this book is a true story not fiction!! Prepare to have your eyes adjust to the light when you pull your head out of the sand! It will be blinding.
