This 2007 edition has been updated very nicely. Lots more information than previously. A few illustrations could be updated to match current knowledge of the product. This shortcoming is unavoidable as the information might not have been known at time of publishing. We look forward to such updates being included in its next printing. Overall, the book has been greatly improved in appearance and "readability." It's a MUST HAVE for all who are interested in historical firearms.

Not as updated as it would have you believe but still a good reference if you don't already own an earlier version and it does have a lot of photos.

While not the end all of reference guides, when used in combination with other reference guides the book is very useful. The pictures have proven to be invaluable for identifying a certain model or type of firearm.

Very useful and full of information. We buy a new book every year to keep up with the pricing, but also to see how our investments have done!!

Excellant resource however, you still need military gun resource to compliment this as it is deficient in this.

I have purchased this book since they started publishing it. I collect guns and this is a great pricing guide. This issue is a little below the standards of previous years. They seem to have changed some subtle things that won't affect the first time buyer but for the perpetual purchaser are disappointing.

Really good reference -I use in conjunction with the Blue Book-with both you'll probably get the "right value"!!

2. Liked very much that there were notations re: upcoming collector's interests.
3. Very updated information for gun enthusiasts.
4. The sale, condition and shipping time of the "Standard Catalog of Firearms 2007:The Collectors Price & Reference Guide" could all be rated EXCELLENT!

Best gun reference book I have used in the book market. Not only does it cover a tremendous number of guns with picture illustrations, but it gives very accurate price evaluations. I recommend this book above any other that I have used.

This is the best firearms price guide I have ever had, and I have had plenty! It is so easy to use and has almost every gun in it. Great book for any gun lover!!

This Book alone is By FAR ONE OF THE FINEST BOOKS OF IT'S KIND. Not only does it have close to about every single gun made It also gives ref. to the Recalls and the Prices of the guns in different conditions of wear. So By Far with the Military Book as well you now have waht i call the Best Refence books made any place any time.
So YES if you need to Look up about anything and to make sure your getting a fare shake at buying a NEW or used gun this would be a fantastic Resource for you and It also provides the Phone numbers to contact the companies that make these guns so If you have any questions as I do I never hesitate to call direct and ask for a Gun smith or Product Specilist on the Manufacure of the gun, Date It was made or even the Isues you may be having with it it it has any. and they are 95% of the time willing to tell you not just the simple answer but go into detail about the gun you have and quite often you will find out more than you could have ever dreamed of .. So YES it's the Best on the market Hads Down. And I Up Grade these books at Leat every other year Or if their is a Very large influx of new guns that have hit the market in the past year and then i will but a new one for that upcoming year to cover the guns in Question. So Spend the money and save Even more In the long Run don't cheat your self out of a Inexpensive Knock off Book that is only Fluff and Is not filled with the entire Line up made by that company Be it an Out of buisness Company or a New and up and Coming company it has it all..
