I didn't expect much since I only bought this book to avoid shipping charges. Not one of her better efforts.

If I had known the book was only about 150 pages long, I wouldn't have wasted the money, especially on the shipping and handling.

this book was only 80 pages long, but it is also in a book she wrote w/ other authors. so I had already read it.Had I known it was in her once upon a time series I would not have wasted my money, It would cost even more to send back!!

Did not realize this was a short story, do not pay more than 2.99 for it. It's a good book, but much shorter than I expected.

Amazon sells this item for 2.99 plus shipping, the price, which is marked quite clearly on the front cover of the book is $2.50..............seems to me someone is padding their pockets as we all know that Amazon did not pay even 2.50 for these books.

I have read the majority of noera's books. They are awesome and this one is no exception. I couldn't put it down until I had read it all.

Nora Roberts keeps the suspense going throughout the trilogy. I always want to finish one book so I can begin the next book.

for a quick read this is an excellent book and for the price it is very cheap if you have never read a Nora Roberts novel buy this I promise you won't be disappointed.

I have been reading Nora Roberts since I was in college. I especially love her family sagas (MacGregor) and mythical trilogies (the Hollow, etc)

Despite the short story, Nora has you completely involved in the scenes. Love reading her books and this one is no disappointment!

Don't be fooled - while this sounds like a 'full scale' novel? It's only 80 pages.... and to top that off? the embedded retail price on the book is 2.99 I paid twice that. I thought I was going to be getting a 'real' book... instead I got a short story. I must say - I'm very disappointed. BTW, I only gave it one star because it wouldn't allow me to enter the review without @ least one. :O(

I think it is a shame to sell a book for $4.98 when the cover states it is for sale for $2.99. I was very disappointed in this purchase and will be very careful in the future IF I decide to use Amazon again. Unless a book is a collectors item I do not think the book should be sold for more than it would be in the stores and than what was printed in big print on the front cover.

This short story was so interesting, was not a bit disappointed. I can't wait to read more Nora Roberts. If you liked this you might also like Love Returns Through The Portal of Time!!! Two thumbs up!!! WOuld recommend this book to anyone out there that likes to read!!

I was surprised that Amazon cost for the book was more than the cover cost of the book. Other than being disappointed at cost, I was satisfied with my purchase. The book was new and in good condition.

It's a formula, but a good one, they are always a pleasure to read. Nora Roberts gives a good story.

I enjoy all Nora Roberts' books, and this is no exception. I just want everyone to be aware that this is a short story, not a novel. The book is only about 72 pages. I did not pay attention to that when I purchased it and was somewhat disappointed.

This is a wonderful romance, as well as as a great story of the most powerful magic of all, love. It all happens rather fast, but, I think that just makes it more sweet. A great tale with love and danger. Another winner.

Nora Roberts is an amazing writer, any one of her characters will draw you in and keep you turning pages. This was a nice quick read filled with romance, mystery & laughter.

Nora roberts has done it again...Spellbound is wonderful....becautiful characterizations, lovely seetings, and oh such sexy scenes...but the best part is the happy ending.

This was a perfect little book useful when waiting for your children to be dismissed from afterschool activites! It is short, conscise (which is usually not my favorite form of book)and it is a wonderful read for those hectic moments!

I thoroughly enjoyed the book Spellbound. It was short the shortest book but as usual Nora pulled it together in a most entertaining manner. Since reading this book I have discovered the hero in yet another of her novels.
I plan to read as soon as I can order it. I recommend ... a nice short read.

For Nora Roberts I found this book to be somewhat on the dull side. I am usely a big Nora Roberts fan.

I'm not sure this tiny tiny book deserves a review, but here goes. I bought this book,(which should be sold with bold letters as a Short Story) with a view towards introducing myself to Nora Roberts. Well, I guess I should have read the reviews closer because after I paid the cost of shipping and the price for this 80 page loosely written story I was without a doubt disappointed. I'm amazed that this best selling author is cranking out these empty books. Oh well, I tried Nora, and I'm not sure if I'll buy another book by this author. If I do I'll check it out at my library

I liked the overall premise of the story... ancient curses/spells cast to protect the hero(ine) from an evil magical enemy. I also love the whole concept of reincarnation, am fascinated by the possibility, and had to read this story. I loved the method used to bring our key players together in time for the final confrontation and the conflict between our couple is believable. Heck I'd have a hard time believing the story of Bryna's history too if I were in Calin's shoes. I enjoyed Spellbound well enough, love the heroine, hate the villain.

Calin, however I didn't love, but I didn't hate either. He was just average for me, not standing out in any way from a thousand other heroes in books I've read. To his credit though, I don't think it's through any fault of his character. Rather, I think it is because of the similarity of his name to a certain actor that I really don't care for all that much. So this actor kept popping into my mind as I was reading about Calin and I even kept misreading his name because of this. So I couldn't get myself emotionally invested in his character.

I have to admit (and I'm sure some people will hate me for this) but Nora has never been a favorite author of mine. I read some of her works, mostly her paranormal trilogies but I have yet to read a book of hers that I can't bear to part with, and Spellbound is included in this. I have the original anthology it was published in (that has been on the book shelf waiting to be read for several years) but I was making a point to purchase all of these collectible re-releases of individual stories put out by Jove books over the past few years so I bought this one for the collection. It was a short pleasant read for me, but not something I can see myself savoring over and over again in the future.

The most important part of the above review title is 'short'. This is a short story, not a novel. Its a great short story that I realy enjoyed, and kept on my shelf to read again some day.
But because it is so short, paying the price of the shipping to buy online is more than the cost to buy it in a store. So check your stores if you want to read it. I found a copy, a few weeks after I looked at it online, at a book sale at a local library, for 50cents...lucky me as I thought about paying the 2.99 to buy at the store.

(Spellbound, Midnight in Death and Interlude in death) and not only were they marked 299 on the cover but i had paid 349 postage alone, per book LOL... well buyer beware i suppose... they are good short stories as all Nora Roberts books are. But i am so sad to sit here and feel like i was ripped off by nothing being written in the add that stated was a short story. At least then it could have been my choice to pay extra for a book i hadn't read ((

Short story, nice, a little odd. Enjoyable ending. I would have preferred if Bryna had told Cal everything instead of keeping some information secret. Creating suspense due to your love keeping information from you is not my favorite kind of plot.

Nora Roberts is a great author. Draws you right into novel. Love all the books by here I've read.

This book was an incredible disappointment because instead of a few hours of reading pleasure, what I got was a paperbound SHORT story. I love Nora Roberts but I should have paid more attention to the description and questioned the $2.99 price. Instead, I made assumptions based on what I perceived to be Amazon's integrity. I've purchased so much from Amazon and this is the only time I felt I'd been had.

Love to Read Nora Roberts and the series that goes with the books are fantastic - quick read

Purchased this book only to find it had been published previously in an anthology and the cover price was $2.99 and Amazon charged $4.95 plus the shipping...very disappointed.

Nora Roberts comes off with another wonderful novel to read that will leave you breathless. It is a fast-paced story of spells and consequences - I could not put it down. There were even times when I actually had in depth conversations with my wife about the book after I had finished it, which does not happen often. The two main characters are interesting and we are given enough to empathize with their issues. On the negative site, I was disappointed at the length and the content. It was very abrupt from start to finish, leaving one feeling cheated out of a full length story. For that reason, only seven points out of ten.

First of all this is not a new story by Nora. I first bought it three years ago in a compilation of three short stories Spellbound, In Dreams and Ever After. It is my understanding that she wrote it quite a few years ago. I have no idea why someone released it in a paperback and called it a book. I immediately recognized the name and checked my Nora Roberts Companion and it was there. Don't bash Nora if you don't have all the facts and if you are a TRUE Nora fan you would have known the facts about this story.

I buy my books from Amazon almost exclusively but they stung me on this one. I paid $4.95 plus and when the book arrived it carried a Great Value label of @2.99. Shame on you Amazon.

This is a very small book, less than 90 pages, and it took about half an hour to read. I have to say I was confused when I got it and thought I might have ordered it in error but it really is less than 1/4" thick and doesn't really seem to be a "book". I was disappointed when I was looking forward to curling up for a long evening with a good story and I read it during the evening news.

This book was easy to get into and easy to read. It's a short book so it doesn't take long to read. I thought it was great!

TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED. I READ ALL NORA ROBERTS BOOKS. SPELLBOUND IS NOT ONLY THE SHORTEST BOOK (I READ IT IN UNDER AN HOUR) OF HERS THAT I HAVE EVER READ, IT ALSO WASN'T TYPICAL OF HER USUAL WONDERFUL WRITING. I ESPECIALLY DIDN'T LIKE THE THEME OF THE STORY.
