disappointing. not a terribly interesting story and a little confusing. not even close to the cuteness of the first.

This is a cute story about a Siamese cat who has mummy trouble while thinking he is a chihuahua! It is very sweet and funny. I liked the mummy, Egyptian motif for my 6th graders. I teach ESOL so I get to use picture books for kids of all ages. I love it!

We LOVE Skippyjon Jones. The first book as well as "in the doghouse" are frequent requests at reading time here. "Mummy Trouble" doesn't get the same enthusiastic result. It's a good book, but the rhymthm isn't as good as the first 2 books.

I thought this book was going to be great considering all the reviews. Frankly I had a hard time understanding to story. My five year old was bored since he couldn't understand what the heck the author is talking about. bug disappointment

HOLY SMOKE-ito! This is one of the best children's books I've ever read. The book we bought included a bonus CD read by author Judy Schachner. We've listened to this book countless times and my 4 year old son can't get enough of it. I highly recommend this book to anyone!

This is the best series of kid's books...ever. Wonderfully talented imagination, fun to read and colorfully creative illustrations.

Get the hardcovers...they come with a CD (to listen to in the car). The author reads the books. It really adds to your reading experience and lets you read with your child in a much more imaginative fashion.

Should be mandatory reading for Preschool Graduation...

LOVE, LOVE Skippyjohn Jones!!! So adorable! Very creative! We are huge Skippyjohn Jones fans!!!

My child and I love to read the book and listen to the CD. The author is so creative and brings to life amazing characters. We are enjoying our reading experience as well learning Spanish phrases.

My children love these books and never tire of Skippyjon and his imagination. The stories are light-hearted and fun to read in a sing-song style. My husband likes to make the accent and the kids think that is so great! I would have given the book a 5, but I don't think it is as good as the first two books in the series. However, I can say that my children enjoy the book. I would suggest buying the first book and reading it to them before reading this one.

My five year old is obsessed with Egypt, mummies, pharoahs, etc. It is SO HARD to find good books directed towards a child on these topics and this one fit the bill wonderfully! Even if your child is not knowledgeable on these subjects, I think this book is a GREAT way to spark their interest. Not only do children get the fun of reading a fabulous book, but a mini, age-appropriate lesson in history, as well.

All the Skippyjon Jones books are adorable. As a school librarian I recommend them all for story time! They are funny and wonderfully illustrated. The funniest little Siamese kitten you will ever meet!

I have two other skippyjon jones books, and this one doesn't disappoint! My daughter just turned 3 a month ago, and she absolutely loves these books! Sure she doesn't get the humor the way we adults do, but she finds it just as funny and enjoyable in her own way nonetheless. We sometimes read these every day, if not every other, and find that we miss them if we don't. The illustrations are just as good as the writing too! I highly recommend these, you will laugh your head off every time!

My [....] and I have so much fun reading the Skippyjon books. Mummy Trouble is our third. We also have the original Skippyjon Jones and Skippyjon Jones In the Dog House. The CD is a bonus - sometimes my son likes to pop in the CD and listen to the author read the story while he follows along in the book.

Absolutely love this series! Kids cheered when they saw we had a new book and ask that we read them more often than most others. My three year old runs around saying "mummies, mumples and measles" as fast as he can. Hope Ms. Schachner writes many more.

Inventive, creative and laugh-out-loud hilarious. Wonderful illustrations. Adults and children will have fun with this one and all other Skippyjon Jones books.

My mom had recently lost her dear friend, Charlie Qat, and I read this story aloud to her. It made her smile.

I loved the first two Skippy books, as did my 6 and 3 yr olds. But, this one talks about mummies and pyramids of which they are not yet knowledgable. I hope her next book goes back to a story the little ones can love once again. This one is not requested reading, like the first two.

Never send a bad kitty to his room to think it over! Mama Junebug Jones needs a new disciplinary method, hers is not working. Great fun! Kids love these books.

I ordered this book for my first grade students. They loved the original book, Skippyjon Jones. They really enjoyed this one. They tell me that they look forward to what Skippyjon will do in his next adventure!

Skippyjon Jones is a staple in my kindergarten classroom. The kids love that silly cat! Mummy Trouble is a cute story, but it just isn't as good as the original title. The kids love them all, by my personal favorite is the original.

Almost as good as they first; far better than the second. My students love singing and chanting along to Skippyjon songs!

What a fun book! Had to pass this on to other Kg. teachers to read to their classes. The CD was fantastic too!

My girls adore Skippyjon Jones! We have most of the books and CD's...a must have!

My daughter is 7 years old and we got the very first Skippyjon Jones last year for Valentines and she love the story and the cut illustrations. We have all three stories books. She memorize and learn to read the very first publication at her Kindergarden class and so her school mates also love it and bought the books too!

In this adventure, Skippyjon Jones goes deep into his closet and ends up in ancient Egypt. Very cute.

Our 3 1/2 year old daughter loved it, especially after living in Egypt for the past two years. She keeps talking about peas after reading the book. I highly recommend it, I found it at the Pittsburgh airport while waiting for a flight, what luck!

I like the fact that the book comes with a CD. I like being able to hear the flow of the story and pronunciation from the author.

This book is just as hilarious as the previous Skippyjon Jones books, which I just happen to own. The pictures are charming and funny and add a lot of character to the book. A definite must have for all Skippyjon fans!

I read this book to my class of 2nd/3rd graders and they loved it! Fun and silly and encourages them to use their imaginations :)

My daughters and I could not get this book fast enough, and were not disapointed at all. As always, Judy Schachner had us laughing and quoting the book for days after. We have had the book now for almost 3 weeks, and the girls still ask for it almost everynight. The only thing we were sad about was that it had to end!

I have been waiting for this book since February when I found out about it. It was so cute when I read it through. Very much El Skippito and silliness.
