This book wraps up his previous book THE THIRD OPTION. Its a great read and has one of the coolest epilogues I ever read. While you don't have to read the previous book, it will make them easier to understand and truly enjoy.

I have always enjoyed Vince Flynn books. This was one of his best. Delivery was on-time.

The book was in excellent condition and the seller put in a few bucks due to a ring on the cover, which, by the way, I never could find! It was shipped in plenty of time for Christmas! I was very happy with this purchase.

Vice Flynn's novels follow a certain pattern, which I don't mean as a criticism at all. In this novel, the story is fast paced, always interesting, and a very entertaining read. Of course, Mitch Rapp is amazing in his work. What's a bit different in this novel is that a lot more time is spent on Rapp and Reilly's relationship. The communication, what there is of it, is pretty ineffective and immature. It would have been nice if their relationship exploration was as interesting as the antiterrorism/action story. Oh well! It's still a great read.

This is a great book series. I am about 2/3 way through this book and it's hard to put down. A lot of good twists and turns.

Vince Flynn continues to produce fast paced action that will keep you on the edge of your chair!! Mitch Rapp, wow!; I hope he really exists! If you are looking for an awesome read, look no further. Buy immediately!

Vince Flynn's "Separation of Power," is an easy book to forget once you finish it, and it took a long time to finish this one. No page-turner here. There are no memorable lines, no enlightening philosophy, lots of people to thoroughly dislike (perhaps despise), and no one to admire.

The plot is simple but rather engaging, and the end --- well, the end is too violent, too filled with unsatisfying revenge, and way too much aimed at a movie script down the road somewhere.

Mitch Rapp is not a man to admire, nor is his paramour, Anna. (Flynn doesn't write women very well.) There is way too much discussion, dialogue and hand-wrenching words about their "relationship." The book could have been made better (and much shorter by about 150 pages) by minimizing their rather pitiful love situation, all of which is boring to the extreme. The anti-hero femme fatale Donatella, was simply unbelievable and borderline ridiculous.

There are a few clever turns of plot and lots of right-wing (and left-wing) nasty political scheming, pay-back and "intrigue." Little of the politics made much sense, and none of it was believable. The story is a "view" of Washington and international politics that cannot hold water, no matter how scintillating it may appear.

It's a mediocre book, written for mediocre readers, who enjoy reading about mediocre public officials and the mediocre assassins who serve them.

It's a 3, barely.

I received Separation of Power from allnewbooks within 3 weeks of ordering. The book was in excellent condition. I highly recommend ordering from this company. I also highly recommend books by Vince Flynn.

Vince Flynn from first to last book brings real life adventures to real world scenarios... makes one think about our govenment and congressional leaders as well as the threats throughout the world around us.... excellent author!

This book arrived in great condition. Flynn books are engaging, fast paced reading and well done.

1. Vince Flynn suffers from the fact that since most of his books are consistently good, one then expects that all of his books will be excellent.

2. This book is one of the subpar Vince Flynn books; ie it's still "ok", but not great. The main problem I have with this book is the 2-3 different story lines, which in the end, never merge with each other. Perhaps it's a stylistic thing, but it's not my cup of tea. I just find that kind of writing, distracting and at worst, it seems as if the author is just trying to create more pages without adding anything to the core story.

Once again, Vince Flynn provides great drama and suspense in his latest Mitch Rapp novel. This was a great and sadly, a fast read for my family.

I really enjoyed this book from front to back. Not a dull moment. So far my 2 favorites are Transfer of Power and Separation of Power! You will enjoy this book.

Good read. Gives the reader insight into some of the workings of our political system. The twists and turns that Mr Flynn employs keeps the reader turning pages-can make you lose sleep.

I was at the library when a gentleman saw me with one of Lee Child's Jack Reacher Novels. He commented that it was a good book, and then told me if I liked Child, I should read Vince Flynn, and held up the Flynn novel he was carrying. I decided to take his advice, and I picked up "Separation of Power." I enjoyed the book, and look forward to reading more of Flynn's novels.

Since this is the first of Flynn's books I've read, I missed some of the back story regarding the hero Mitch Rapp and the other characters in the novel. Reading those first would probably been best, but this story stands on its own, and so I still had a good read and enough was provided here that you didn't have to read the earlier works. That tells you it was a good book. Not only do I want to read the books that come after this one, but I want to go back and read those earlier tales even though I know part of the outcome.

Additionally, the story is dated regarding the plots includes nuclear arms possessed by Saddam Hussein. So I had to ignore the actual circumstances surrounding Hussein, and just enjoy the story. And enjoy it I did. It had action and suspense all the way through. I found myself really liking Mitch Rapp and really disliking other characters. I liked the way Flynn told the story, and I will definitely read more of his novels. In fact, I already picked up a couple to read and will do so in the very near future.
