Easy to understand, Used for the past year in RN school and many of the questions were similiar to test questions I had in class! Definitely helped my grades!!!!

I just bought this book to study for the NCLEX-RN and am very happy I did. There was about 4 questions out of the 80 I received on the actual test that were almost identical to questions from this book. The other girl I know who bought this book only got 75 questions on the NCLEX and said only great things about the book. If you want to decrease your chances of not passing the boards, BUY THIS BOOK!! Not only will you pass, but most likely you will get the minimum (if not close to) the least amount of questions possible.

I am a begining nursing student. I purchased this to go along with my studies. I think it will be an excellent tool to use throughout school so I will be ready for the nursing exam.

The book is great and in perfect condition but the CD for some reason is not working properly. I've tried to take this 100 question exam 4 times and it has frozen up on me before I've reached question 30 every time. And I've tried it on different computers to make sure it wasn't the computer acting up.

...this comprehensive book is amazing! It has provided me with an excellent source for review as well as information/concepts that I did not pick up along the way during nursing school. One must be committed to get through this very detailed book, but the end result is well worth it (as if you didn't already know that).
The questions at the end of each chapter and in the CD-ROM, in my experience, are similar to that of those found in nursing school exams. They strive to be in an NCLEX style, but are more geared toward testing your understanding of the content found within the chapter. This is helpful for content review purposes, but they are not as solid of examples of NCLEX questions as compared to the Kaplan book (another book I recommend). However, the rationales Saunders provide make up for that issue nicely. If you are dedicated and really want to pass the first time, you won't regret this purchase! If you studied and graduated from a non US nursing program you must prepare for the NCLEX thoroughly, I graduated 9 years ago in the UK and thought I had a good general knowledge base, however once I started using this book I realized how much my UK education had not prepared me for the US system and the NCLEX.
Allow yourself a few months studying hard from this book (it is 'no-frills', almost written in note form, but it is the closest thing to experiencing a proper review course you can get outside the states) At first I found the rationales in the included chapter exams very difficult to agree with in terms of prioritization, coming from the real world critical care environment, but the more questions and rationales you do the more prepared you will be. I would also recommend a question and answer book - I used the incredibly easy NCLEX RN question and answer book and the Mosby one. As much as I recommend this book I also found it very useful to answer questions from several different publishers as I found they would all be somewhat different but it is a very accessible way of learning and getting questions wrong really helps for the right answer to 'stick'. Overall a 5 star recommendation, there are no other publications I am aware of that offer this sort of package. Buy it and work hard! I found out this morning that I passed! in 75 questions! The review is excellent! There are a lot of graphics and test questions that help you really understand the material. The rationales for the review questions are also a plus. The outlines are very helpful, concise, and comprehensive. I recommend this book for every nursing student!

This book is wonderful. I study it for my tests, including my online exit exams for my specialty classes. This book covers everything and eliminates all the "fluff". I bought this and the Question and Answer book and they are GREAT learning tools. I would recommend this book to any nursing student to use throughout school and for boards!

This book is easy to read and the CD is so helpful. This book is reccomended by all of the instructors in our NCLEX review courses. I feel better prepared for the NCLEX.

This book is a must-have for all nursing students. I wish I had known about it when I first began nursing school. It is a great tool to use for studying along the way, and for preparing for NCLEX (currently using it for that now). I found out about it during my last year of nursing school (I had the 3rd edition first), and I've used it along with my notes and textbooks since then. It breaks things down into simple and concise sentences. It definitely makes it easier to remember. It has many charts, tables, and pictures (great if you're a visual learner). It also has many practice questions within the book, including alternate format. It also comes with a cd loaded with questions! I could not live without this book. I think almost every person in my graduating class has this book!

I've only had this book for a few days, but I already love it! I only wish I would have bought this at the beginning of nursing school instead of the end... I just graduated from nursing school, and I'm now studying to take the NCLEX. I can't begin to describe how helpful this book it. It has tons of questions and the reviews are perfect... just enough information without overwhelming you. I would recommend to others to buy this book when you are beginning nursing school, to review concepts & study for the tests. The companion CD is also great. You can choose between quizzes (short) or tests (long) and take practice NCLEX style tests. The review function is also great and tells you how to eliminate answers to get the correct one, and what book to look in to review the concept if it was something you couldn't remember. Good luck to all you nursing students out there, and get this book! It's definitely worth every penny!

I purchased this book on the advice of my neice, an ICU nurse. I was having trouble studying for the tests in my nursing classes because there was so much material. I started using this book the moment it arrived and my test scores bounced up dramatically. I've had this book one month, and my test scores went from a C, to completing the course with a B+. What I love most about this book is that it has a review of all the systems and information in a complete concise manner giving just the information related to nursing, so I don't have to wander through all kinds of narrative to get to the facts I need to study. Best study guide I found.

This was an great help with Hesi test &: ATI's. I love the disk that came with it....it has hundreds of test questions & the book gives a very detailed review for each topic. I love it!!

This book is a valuable resource not only for students who are studying to take their state boards but also as a tool to use while in school, I bought this edition for my daughter who is in nursing school, but I browsed through it also, I have one from 2005 and they have made it even easier to read and to use. I highly recommend it to all RN students, it is much easier to read than the standard text books and the CD has great tests and study quiz's you can take that include rational which is always helpful when you get an answer wrong or right.

I am currently in my first semester of Nursing School and wish that I had been told about this book a long time ago. About halfway through the first semester all of us students were struggling with finding relevant outside material different from the textbooks. This book has spread like wildfire through our class and, from what I hear, everyone's grades have drastically improved including mine. A must have!! I also bought the Prentice Hall Comprehensive Review for Nclex-RN and find it wonderful too. I feel as if I do anymore than just reading the chapters out of the assigned textbook is a waste- its all there in a nice outline in these books with a separation of all the sections (ie GI tract, GU tract, sensory, Respiratory, etc.). Although, I don't think the Saunders CD-Rom is good. An all around wonderful, very necessary book!! Thumbs up!!

This NCLEX review book has the most questions, with its CD-ROM, with the most helpful rationales that I've found so far. It covers fundamentals, pediatrics, maternity, med-surg, mental health and more. The CD-ROM is compatible with my Windows Vista operating system. I only wish it had more "choose all that apply" and delegation questions.

The book is great for providing brief reviews over general nursing topics before exams. I have yet to take NCLEX and do not know how well it will help me. But so far I am really satisfied with it!

The book is very helpful and goes along with all of my nursing books. The only thing I wish there were more of would be questions. The review in each chapter and the questions are helpful for nursing students.

This is by far the best of all the NCLEX preparatory textbooks I have read. I own three other similar texts, but this book is exact, fully informative, and user friendly. An excellent study guide for school and tests. I tended to use this book more in prep for my boards than all the others combined. Passed on the first try; need I say more?

This is by far the best prep book ive used. if you are in your 2nd to the last term or your last term of nursing school, use this book to prep for your exams and watch your scores go up.
