Sarah Palin's critics need to read this book. Governor Palin has accomplished so much in a short time. She is a reformer, a loving wife, caring mother, motivator, and provider. Her life would make an amazing movie. One chapter of her book rivals all 457 pages of Barack's "Dreams of My Father".

Author Kaylene Johnson does a great job of painting the real Palin upon the pages of this biography. Palin does not know the meaning of the word "can't", and that is evident in her political decisions. She truly did take on the "good-ole-boys" network.

Sarah Palin's detractors have good reason to fear her; this woman can hunt and fish, play sports, cook, run a household while running a state, and look good while doing it all. This woman represents the type of person who deserves our respect and admiration! And she has a terrific family!

Finally, all the real answers you would have expected the traditional media to provide, but somehow they seemed to miss the story during the campaign.

This biography captures the person behind the smear and petty attacks of both opponents and fellow Republican.

Refreshingly candidate, not your typical "instant-bio" book that seems to always surface around election time.

"Sarah" is a short book that gives a good view of the woman who became a National figure overnight. It gives some depth to the references Palin made on the campaign trail before the election. The book is easy to read and can be finished in a few hours. Do not expect an in-depth analysis of anything. Still, it will remain a book of interest to those who follow a certain brand of Republican politics.

I think this is a good book. It tells almost everything Sarah Palin has done, all her accomplishments, who she really is, and how she grew up. This book covers up until about 2007, but it does not cover the 2008 presidential election;John McCain and Sarah Palin as his running mate. If you want to learn more about Sarah Palin and everything she has done from mayor to governor, and all she has accomplished in the republican party, I would recommend reading this book, SARAH.

For just a few short month's Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has been in the media spotlight. However, the residents of Alaska have known her for some time.

The book "Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned the Political Establishment Upside Down" chronicles everything from the youth to the family life to the political career of this accomplished woman.

Along with 2008 presidential candidate John McCain, Palin championed the story of the average person. And, through the words of author Kaylene Johnson and a number of personal photographs, readers come to learn that in many cases, her story is their story.

All in all, the book is a quick read. At times, it delves into some statistical information but for the most part it offers a more intimate reflection on the life and times of the most popular governor in the United States.

This is a great book. Sarah palin is the type of person this world needs.

If you're a Palin fan it's a "fun" read. You'll see how she's really just a "down to earth" kind of woman with plenty of determination, good common sense and most importantly ETHICS! Qualities you don't find often in someone involved in politics! She probably has a great future ahead of her.

Clearly written by a fan or friend but a good read. Concise look into the life of Sarah Palin from childhood to the present.

Beautifully written biography of an (in many ways) every-day American woman who strives for, and accomplishes, extraordinary things. Simple and inspirational. The narrative of Alaska family life will stand the test of time and remain an important portrait of Americana for years (and maybe generations)to come.

This book is a simply-written piece that casts Palin in a positive light, describing her as an all-American hockey mom. The accuracy of this book, however, is doubtful.

For example, the book depicts Palin as an evangelical Christian. For more than 20 years, Palin belonged to a radical Pentecostal church with strong links to the New Apostolic Reformation and Toronto Blessing movements. These kinds of churches are commonly considered heretical "cults" by evangelical Christians (for example, see cultwatch.org, or Hank Hannegraff's chillingly prophetic work, "Counterfeit Revival"). Most evangelical Christians would be offended to hear of such a church being portrayed simply as "evangelical," and shocked that a publisher would try to dupe them into accepting an acolyte of this movement as a fellow evangelical. It is true that Palin transferred her church membership from the Wasilla Assembly of God to an evangelical church in Wasilla. However, she usually attends another uber-Pentecostal church, the Juneau Christian Center, and maintains a strong relationship with the Wasilla Assembly of God.

This book is simply a campaign trick. If you want to know more about Sarah Palin, I suggest you Google "Sarah+Palin AND Thomas+Muthee" and "Sarah+Palin AND New+Apostolic+Reformation." Very few Christians who are not aligned with the most radical wing of the Pentecostal movement would want Palin one heartbeat away from the presidency if they googled those search phrases.

BTW, if you're going to comment on my review and tell me that we need to vote for Sarah to protect all those precious unborn babies, do me the courtesy of googling those phrases and reading at least a few of the articles that come up. If you don't understand what the New Apostolic Reformation and its associated movements are about, don't respond to my review.

Sarah Palin would make a great presidential candidate, except for the fact that Bush has done a great job the past 8 years. Sarah Palin knows politics like Michael Jordan knew how to play baseball, like a champion! Plus, Sarah Palin is a down to earth person, which makes me like her even more. I feel so bad for her that her Yahoo! mail got hacked, with a hard password like 'popcorn', you'd expect her to be safe on the internet, lols!

This was one of the most interesting autobiography of a real person I have ever read. It totally confirmed my first opinion of Sarah in that she is one of the most gifted people I have ever seen. She is her own person and was brought up so much like myself with God, family, self-worth, truth, and love for her fellow man and country. I cannot say enough about her as a mother and wife, either. She proves what most of us women know--that you can be a good working mom and wife. She has the partner that helps her be this type of person. Without a good man for a husband and supporter she could not do the work that I feel God has sent her to do. One thing more--she knows from where her strength and talent come from--God. So many people try to take Him out of their lives. Sarah isn't afraid. She is a breath of fresh air and I am glad McCain chose her for his running mate.

"Sarah" tells the story of Sarah Palin' life, from early childhood until she was elected governor of Alaska in 2006. She showed an unwavering belief that government is there to serve the people of the state and not for the benefit of the politicians. She was not afraid to break-up the old guard and surrounded herself with good people, no matter what their party affiliation. If she could bring these beliefs and practices to Washington, DC, she might be able to bring about a positive change there also.

This was a nice look at a fresh personality in this election. We didn't know much about Sarah, and this book came out very quickly to help fill in the gaps. It is not a gritty book meant to try and find dirt on her ~ but it does fill you in a lot on her background and who she is and how she came to be where she is today. She may not have tons of "experience" but she is a wonderful breath of fresh air in a race that had been totally depressing to me.

This is a great read for anyone who truly wants to know the real deal about this incredible woman. What a story! I really enjoyed this very factual read that gives lots of insight into Alaska politics. It's full of great information and interesting facts about Palin. I would highly reccommend it and am thinking of buying some additional copies for Christmas gifts. Whether a Democrat, Republican, or none of the above, you will find this book very inspirational. It gives you hope for America.

I was very disappointed in this book. It was a 'halting' read, no solid information of any importance. No need to purchase this book, you can get all the same information from the internet.

I happened to pick up this book in July (before the VP announcement) while I was in Anchorage. Finally got around to reading it after the announcement.

While it's very interesting to see what formed this dynamic woman (and no matter what your political lean is, you have to admit she has made some remarkable accomplishments), the book is amateurishly written and more of a timeline than a wealth of knowledge.

I enjoyed reading what makes her tick and how she evolved into the woman she is, but would have enjoyed more substance from the writer.

Don't avoid the book, but don't expect an answer to your voting questions.

I am glad I purchased this book. I felt it was a genuine account of Sarah Palin and her actions, and it did an awesome job of shedding light on the media's slanted view of Gov. Palin.

This was excellent! It tells all about Sarah's childhood and growing up in an active family. She inspired me to "do great things." What a tremendous woman. I wanted to buy many books to give to my friends.

I can't find my book!!!!! All of the books in two counties are checked out and one is already missing. My copy may be missing too. No doubt about it, Sarah Palin and her first dude of Alaska husband are hot items!

No doubt about it, John McCain and Sarah Palin have been rocked around by all sorts of storms, but as they have demonstrated throughout their lives and careers, have managed to keep their heads above water and keep fighting. They are both very strong, principaled people and embody the qualities and ideals that the founding fathers of our country envisioned our leaders should have.

This book was written by a friend of Sarah's. The book is filled with pictures and is written in plain English, easily read in a day, if you have the time....And if you can find the book. It simply tells her life story.

I thought it was so sweet that Sarah and her sister would hold hands as they slept until they were in high school. My mother had to share a bed with her sister and said that there was an imaginary line that you dare not cross with your toe nails....I've interviewed other folks in similar situations and find that Sarah's behavior is rather rare in siblings! Her beginnings were humble, her parents middle class with four small children to feed and clothe. They had a small stove to heat their small house through Alaska's long and cold winters. "She's one of us," one of my friends exclaimed. She's been there, through hard times and she's still weathering the punches. WE LOVE SARAH!!!

She has a close knit family, rather rare these days. "She and her husband HAD to get married, it was a shot gun wedding," was one of the first things about Sarah I overheard in the very blue county in which I reside.

Talk about negative campaigning. The missiles were flying the very first day John McCain announced his running mate. "She had an affair," the National Inquirer splashed on its front page. The dems are desperate if they have to stoop so low.

ALL LIES. I was amazed at how quickly people believed them, and how quickly they disseminate them. It makes me furious. It saddens John McCain. I listened to him and Senator Liberman yesterday on a conference call with jewish leaders around the country. The lying saddens him, does not enrage him.

Well, yesterday, Obama got a big endorsement, but it ain't over 'til the fat lady sings. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, for your service to our country." "Thank you. Thank you. Thank you," she peppered her thanks to each and every one of the veterans in the audience at a recent rally. The truth hurts far more than lies. "Spread the wealth around" sounds more like communism than socialism. And who decides who's too rich and who needs to "share" what little they have with others? N O B A M U N I S M!!!!!! GO JOE! Go Joe the plumber and Joe Liberman! Bye, bye, Biden.

Well, if Sarah and John lose, my mother and I are moving to Wasilla, Alaska. Sounds like a nice place to live. With an 80% approval rating in her state, it sounds like my mother and I would finally find ourselves surrounded by true friends. We love Sarah. I'm pro-choice and she doesn't scare me. She walks her walk and talks the right kind of talk.

When we first heard about this book on our local news, that the little known publisher from out of Washington State, had run out the last 3000 copies, I knew I needed to have our Regional Library purchase this book. This book was rushed out in paperback last month just in time. This little book is a quick read, just a bit over 100 pages, but it has a lot to reveal about Sarah. Even though she's young, her politics are fresh, and she has come up through the grass roots to win the hearts of thousands in Alaska. She is full of tenacity, is honest to a fault, which is what we need to get this country back to where it was. She is for total reform, esp in ethics in government. This is a story of a down-to-earth woman with energy and idealism. If you want to know more about Governor Sarah Palin, read this little gem of a book. You'll be glad you did!!!!

This is a great book that needs to be read by every voter in the USA. A well written, informative book about an outstanding person.

This interesting little book is an excellent introduction to Sarah Palin. The book begins with her birth in Idaho, and moves on through her childhood in Alaska, her education, and her political career, including her campaign against corruption, her battles with her own Republican Party, and her eventual election to the governorship of Alaska.

Now, as has been pointed out, this book does not have the feeling of a true biography. Instead, it feels more like the sort of literature that is produced by and for political figures during election times - including a plethora of books about Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. So, if you are looking for a hard-hitting, no-holds-barred look at Sarah Palin, you will be disappointed.

But, if you don't really know Sarah, and you want to know her better (like, why was she called Sarah Barracuda?), then this book is a great place to start. I am really glad that I read this book, and I do not hesitate to recommend it to everyone!

Not a very good book. We didn't get to really know Sarah, but was just a timeline type of biography. Also, poorly written.

The book was everything I thought it would be and more. The author gives us a good look into the person of Sarah Palin from her childhood on up to her adult years and her entrance into the Alaska political system. Unlike readers who always focus on something to criticize, this book was refreshing and wonderful, just like Sarah. I loved having so many photos included in the book. Each photo is a story without words and for me, it was just icing on the cake. A great read!

This is a quick biography of a very complicated (in a good way) woman who stands for what is right. It was interesting and exciting to get a glimpse into Sarah Palin's world and I pray that the people of this country are blessed with her as our next Vice President.
Just don't forget to read the end of this book. Sarah Palin's Governor's innaugural address is enough to "knock your sox off"! If only we had a dozen more "good men or women" to help get our beloved country back on the right track. God has blessed you, Sarah Palin, and He's blessing us with your service to Him and to this country.

I'm only about halfway through with it and I like it so far. This woman should never have sold out her values to run with John McLiberal. Hopefully she will mold him more than he molds her.

Kaylene Johnson writes a small book with details that we needed. Is there more needing to be said? Yes, and you can bet there will be more people talkng about Sarah Palin and her family. The book is a small interesting line on the life of a person, like you and me, who has to answer some serious questions. Those who seem to be smarter make a big deal out of some very questionable activities. But let's look at where we are. Find out why it is and then see how we can make a difference. To start you need to ask that first question, then listen to the answer. Finally you must get involved into the procedures of committee. Do not be afraid! This i hat they depend on.
One of the hardest choices that we have is to be able to answer one very important question. Do I work for a Party or does the Party work for me. As a Republican, born in a Democrat household, I think I know that answer. It is not about the money. It is about the effort. This is what you will see highlighted in the book. This will point out, to the best of the writers view point, the process of politics. If you get angry .. they win. If you are wise you will see what is really happening.
This book can help you understand not only thstruggles of a family. But the changes that take place inside our Party's leadership. You will learn what grassroots is about. Grassroots is what we say as a majority. Do you seek a handout or you like Todd, Sarah, Bristol, and the other Palin children. It is about Chuck and Sally Heath as well. Bumore importantly, it is all about Sarah Palin and the the people who have been impressed by the tenacity of a hockey mom. Hopefully, you will agree that Sarah Palin is speaking out for you are me.

I really enjoyed reading this book and learning more about Governor
Sarah Palin. I beleive she is prepared to be Vice-President and can handle any situation that comes her way. She is quite a lady!

The book was short, very quick reading, and interesting. However, much of what was written has already been briefly covered in the press. There was a little more than what I had read about her accomplishments as mayor of Wasilla and govenor of Alaska. Obviously written by a big fan of Sarah's, there was nothing controversial or negative in the book.

Looks like the republican party slapped this book together to her name out there. I, like many other Americans, picked it up trying to find out a bit more about Sarah Palin but I was thoroughly disappointed with this book.

I am only writing this comment so that people who are trying to learn more about Mrs. Palin won't waste their time with this picture book.

'Sarah' is a friendly review of Palin's early political life and fills in a lot of gaps not mentioned by current the main stream media. Untainted by national politics as it was written before her rise on the national scene it is factual and emphasizes the populist appeal of Sarah Palin.

Its pretty scary to think of her as a president . Which is allot more likely if McCain wins than Biden being President if Obama wins , due to McCain's advanced age and medical history , McCain winning is just scary .

She's pictured as a "Finally," Finally, the liberal/Moderate Republicans have screwed up their agenda by nominating a great Conservative, real, honest-to-goodness, lady.

She is viewed to be the future of our country and the return to Republican Conservative principles. The liberal/moderate Republicans were taking us into creeping socialism, as was the contemporary Democrats, only a little slower.

Be forwarned, all those who wanted business as usual. She's expected to find, prosecute and jail those responsible for corruption and unethical wheeling and dealings.

This Book is about a down to earth woman who is destined for Political responsibility. And a great book to read.

What a great piece written before Sarah Palin's rise on the national scene. The author writes about a true patriot whose rise to fame was based around her love of her family, her community and then her state. Now her rise in the national light comes as a result of those same qualities. So different than the politicians who are all about themselves and won't make any waves.
Sarah Palin is what this country needs.

What a great way to know Sarah Palin ! A real down home girl who did well !This is a woman I would love to sit and have coffee with.

I read the book in one sditting! Great! It gave a good overview aboiut the life of Sarah Palin. Her genuineness came through.

This book tells me much more about who and what Sarah Palin is. What a delight to have someone who isn't so Washington oriented that she can't think for herself. Sure she doesn't know much about the Federal Goverment but I believe she would learn ver quickly. I would vote for the Republican candidates if I was certain she would pull a Chaney and take McCain moose hunting!!!
