I am the worlds slowest reader....I read the first 2 books in 2 1/2 weeks!!! I can't say enough great things sbout this author and these books!! The moral fiber running through this family is amazing and I think everyone should read them!!

"Remember" is a lot better than "Redemption". I liked that the characters had more depth to them, especially Ashley. I still found Kari to be a little too perfect, and non emotional through the first half of the book. I did, however, find her character more likable when she went up to NY to see Ryan. I also cried a little in the end when Kari got a nice surprise. Luke and his fall into humanism was an interesting twist, and I will be anxious to see how Kingsbury develops that storyline.

As far as, the 911 storyline in "Remember", I was personally kind of bored with it. What happened on 9/11 will be with us as long as each one of us lives, it was that impactful. We all have our own memories of that day, and "remember" different things. I just don't feel that rehashing all the little details is necessary. For example, what the reporters were reporting, and the process of how the rubble was removed, to mention a few things.

So, I rated "Remember" three stars, because it was just average. I am, however, hopeful that the next installment in the series will be a little more intriguing.

Ordered the first 4 books in the seiries. Already had the 5th book. All the books were received in excellent condition. I have only just starte with the first one.

As always, Karen Kingsbury continues to give me gifts of great books - this book follows in her usual incredibly insightful writing. I own the entire series and several others.

This is an excellent series by Karen Kingsbury with Gary Smalley. It is easy reading and keeps you intrigued from start to finish. Sharing the series with my daughter.

This is a great book and a wonderful series. I recomend this series to everyone.

Remember is the 2nd in the Redemption Series. I loved the story of Ashley and her position in the Baxter family. She was talented and had a good heart, but she made poor decisions and had to deal with one bad consequence after another. The conflicts she triggered within the now beloved Baxter family were interesting to see. As with all the books in this series (and by this author), Christianity is perfectly woven into the story line. I just couldn't recommend it more highly...but be sure you buy all 5 of the Redemption novels at once so you don't have to pause between closing one cover and opening another!

Wow, I've never a had a book impact so much emotionally. The title is so perfect in so many ways. It's about so much more than 9-11. It's about remembering your first love, remembering your youth and the good things in life, remembering to care and to live in the moment rather than protect your heart from pain because you never know what tomorrow will bring, remembering God and the big picture, remembering that only God can heal our heart and love us the way we need to be loved. I cried so many times during this story I can't remember (LOL!), mainly because all of the relationships between the characters were so real. And there was true love, and romance, and kissing between several sets of characters, all with different issues causing them pain. This is so often absent in "inspirational" fiction, and that makes me sad. The characters' temptations were real, their sin and mistakes were real, the losses they all felt were amazingly real. I don't think the 9-11 thing was overdone at all. Maybe because I'm from NY state, it hits me closer to home. I remember watching the events unfold on television (while living in Arizona) and being in shock for a week. Remembering this event, in my opinion, is important, because like with any tragedy we tend to forget, and I don't think that's a good thing at all. Remembering makes us love more, try harder, and ultimately heal. Did I mention that I couldn't put this book down? Good thing this was a long weekend!

This book was even better than the first! The story line concerning the Alzheimer's patients was thought provoking and sweet. The story as a whole did an excellent job of conveying the spiritual journey that all Christians go on and how our walks with God have peaks and valleys. Remember showed glimpses of all of the Baxter children's spiritual walks. Another powerful point made in the book was the difference between being religious and being Christ-like. At the beginning of the book and in the last book, Luke's judgmental and hateful attitude towards Ashley wasn't very Christian. At first I was annoyed that September 11th was brought up in yet another book, however the authors did a good job of working it into the story and making it relevant to the character's lives without making it the central theme of the book.

This book does the unexpected as it takes you down the road to recovery with Ashley, a young woman with a troubled past. At first I didn't think that I would enjoy it, but I was pleasantly surprised. It shows that God will forgive our sins if we ask Him. I was also surprised at how the author used the events of 9/11 to shape the story. It held my attention and left me amazed to the end.

I picked up "Redemption" on a whim, and was very glad I did. I was completely drawn into the Baxter family saga, and came to love all the characters like they were real people. But the one who really stuck with me was Ashley Baxter.

"Remember" is Ashley's story. It still checks in on everyone else, but the focus this time is definitely on the lives of Ashley and Landon. The novel was very emotionally involoving- there were moments I sobbed. I felt the September 11 scenes were quite tastefully done, and I know I had tears streaming down my face numerous times.

I would highly recommend this series to anyone who likes an emotionally involving set of novels. I've found the Baxter family constantly on my mind as I wait to read the next book. You'll be drawn in and come to care about these people like they're your family--Ms. Kingsbury is that good.

While I enjoyed the first book of this series and intend to read the remaining, I was entirely disappointed with "Remember". Am I the only one out there tired of 9/11 rehash? Along with that came the author's "in your face" political views which I normally try to ignore but in this book were interjected so often it distracted from the story. I literally stopped reading this book 2/3 of the way through. I hope to enjoy the next book as much as the first in the series. This one, however, was not worth reading.

I have never read a series of books that can touch my heart as does the books written by this awesome gal named Karen. She has brought me to tears, and down on my knees more times than I can count. And to think that the story of the Baxters and the entire family is going to continue on for a total of 13 books in three series! God bless you and your wonderful family, Karen, and may God continue to inspire your pen that writes words of gold that touch the hearts of everyone who reads them, and assures us that He is always with us, no matter what.

What a beautiful, wonderful story. I couldn't put it down. The tale of the Baxter family and it's patriach Dr. John Baxter and his wife Elizabeth stirred my heart with the tender honesty I crave in fiction. Everyone didn't pray the sinner's prayer or make all the right choices, but this book filled me with hope and faith. We are all so weak and fallable and in need of the great grace Christ offers.

From the fragile memories of the Alzhemier's patients at Sunset Hills to the each of the Baxter children's journey to recapture the love and faith they'd left, lost or never discovered, REMEMBER is unforgettable. Bring the tissues and be prepared to leave this book's pages with a renewed understanding of faith, family and country. I'd been thinking this week that a depressive feeling I hadn't felt since September 11th had begun to assail me again in light of recent events. This book was a refreshing chance to truly remember, not only the sorrow of 9-11, but the charity and unity that followed. May God strengthen us all.
