This was an amazing book! 911 affected all of us, but if you are like me, you have pretty much forgotten the families that suffered the loss of life through death and loss of normal life activities for others. Col. Birdwell wrote this inspiring book in a way the made me feel like I was right there with him, experiencing all that he went through, when the Pentagon was hit. This book tells about the pain and suffering this man and his family endured following 911, but more importantly, it is such a good example of giving God the glory for his tragedy, encouraging others who are going through a difficult time of suffering, reminding us of the sacrifice that all families in 911 made and are still dealing with, and that God is always present with us during hard times.

The book is written in first person by both Brian and his wife, Mel, relaying their thoughts, questions, and feelings. If you, or someone you know, is going through a lot of pain or suffering and need some encouragement, this is a great book to read. And even if you are not, it is still a good read.

this book is so very inspiring. please refer to any and every burn or terrorism victim you know. perseverance, faith, and hope are the key messages! i would recommend to ANYONE. God can do anything!
