The children in my class really enjoyed this book. They loved the illustrations, especially since they are avid Junie B. Jones fans! There's much more to the story if you take the time to view the illustrations. I think that Laura Bush and her daughter Jenna did a wonderful job.

First, let me share with you that I am one "skeptical" person when it comes to "famous" people writing children's books.

I was looking over the book when my 11 yo ask me to read it to her.
So, I began reading it. Then, my 8yo joined us. It is a pretty good book....(Take into account that my kids least favorite thing to do is read/hear books). They giggle and hung to every word. My thought is ... if my 11yo and an 8yo can sit through this book many more will.
So check it out... It is a pretty neat book...

I bought this book for several young children.
So far moms have been thrilled with it. Great for
the heat of the day rest periods.

The students in my classes were motivated by Read All About It. I used it to encourage them to read and see what they could discover.

I am a retired teacher who volunteers to read to the second grade classes at my local school. I bought the book for the second teachers to put in their library. I also read the book to the children and they loved it. Many kudos to the authors.

Laura and Jenna Bush have written an inspiring message to engage children in reading. With so many media distractions, the written word is overlooked by the youth of today. This book gives readers a valuable reason to read, and it's fun as well!

As a former elementary classroom teacher and a retired school administrator there were many Tyrone's that I encountered over the years. READ ALL ABOUT IT! is right on target in how to reach the Tyrone's of the world and get them engaged. Every elementary classroom and school media center should have a copy of this book for teacher's and media specialists to share at that teachable moment. rlb.

This book was thoroughly delightful and should find a place on teacher and library shelves as well as the book shelf at home.

I'm a school librarian and one of the parents in my school wanted to donate this book. I think it only got published because Laura Bush is famous. There's nothing original about the story or the writing. The illustrations are really good though. I would purchase something else illustrated by Denise Brunkus, but not written by Laura/Jenna.

Had anxiously been awaiting the release of this book and was not disappointed. I have a 2nd grade grandson who hated reading until part way through this year and then with the help of 2 wonderful teachers he has turned completely around. I purchased 3 copies and gave one to each of the teachers. We all love the book!

This book packs a lot of lesson, as well as humor for kids...and adults!!! Not only is it well written, the illustrations help tell the story. Again, very funny and the moral is timely.

I actually bought two copies: one for my sister with small children and one for myself, classroom teacher in the elementary grades. To be perfectly honest, I was disappointed. I bought the books online, not really knowing what they were like. The illustrations are adorable and the message clear, but I believe that if this book had been written by anybody else that it would not have made it. But thank the Lord, the proceeds will be the major benefit of its publishing. Sorry Ms. Bush and Jenna. Love you both for your efforts in promoting reading.

It is admirable that Laura and Jenna Bush made this effort, and I hope the proceeds will benefit some worthy literacy cause. However, the book itself is nothing special. There is nothing there to charm a young reader and demand many re-readings. The writing is somewhat pedantic, a little bit preachy, and gave me the impression it was knocked off on one lunch hour. Having said that, I do applaud the efforts of Mrs. Bush and Jenna to make even a less than perfect attempt to promote reading. Persuading the administration to boost funding for libraries and after-school reading programs would be better, but that's not going to happen, so we might as well be grateful for the efforts we get.

Dull writing and a trite message make this book a waste of time. I can't imagine any child enjoying it.

Thank you for writing this book. I too had a Tyrone as a student in my teaching career! I like the way you reinforced in your interviews the benefits of reading to children when they are babies. They learn left to right progression, page turning and learn to follow the spoken and written word. The added benefit is a caring relationship of child and reader. I cannot wait to read this book to my grandson. I will give this book as shower and birthday gifts. Thank you for such a positive project with proceeds to benefit recruiting teachers.

This book just proves that celebrities could vomit onto a blank page and publishers would publish it.

Sometimes little boys are a little more difficult to win over to the benefits of reading. This book shows not only little boys, but all children that reading is cool.

Buy this book for your children and grandchildren. Buy it for your friend's children and grandchildren. It is a great baby shower gift because you can't start too early teaching a child to love reading.

This is a great book. I highly recommend this book to parents and also teachers to read it to their class.
