Lyndon LaRouche is the guy whose supporters show up on college campuses to harass other college students into dropping out and joining this fantastic cult that has been spreading the gospel of an imminent world crisis since, oh, the mid-70's. Having read what I have of this book, I can tell you that it's an absolute waste of time and is crudely capitalizing on this historic election to hook more people into LaRouches' idiotic cause.

Wow. Probably one of the most paranoid text I've ever read. If you believe Tarpley, Obama is truly the anti-Christ. Which is also a ridiculous idea. Much of the book focuses on the Trilateral Commission and how they have brainwashed Obama. However, if you look at a list of the Trilateral members, you will find John McCain's name on the list.

The INTIMATE connection between Obama and Trilateral founder/Rockefeller vassal Zbigniew Brzezinski is WELL-DOCUMENTED. Don't be suckers simply because you worship this man the media is putting forth as the new messiah. It should raise at least a few eyebrows that this maverick upstart singing a song of change is closely allied with crusty old white men who have have directed foreign policy from their councils and think tanks for decades.

Obama got in HOT WATER with the Israel lobbies (who have allied themselves with the Iraq-invading, Iran-hating Neocons -- supporting Tarpley's analysis) because of his close ties to Brzezinski. Before dismissing this "conspiracy theory", google "obama brzezkinski" and read the DOZENS of MAINSTREAM NEWS ARTICLES. Here's just one.

I urge readers to look at Tarpley's other works. He does do research,but he also draws conclusions that are unfounded by the evidence. His suppositions about Brezinski, while possible, are not proven. He makes sinister claims about Obama's years at Columbia based on no evidence at all. I look at this as a troublesome theory by a writer prone to embellishing the facts with fantasy.

This is not a book bashing Obama because he doesn't wear an american flag pin on his suit or because he might be a closet Muslim.

Instead, this book tackles the history of fascism, the geopolitical strategy of the Brzezinski group, the politics of Obama's main advisors and supporters, and a history of Jimmy Carter's Presidency as it relates to his relationship with Zbigniew Brzezinski. After a study of these topics and people, the central question becomes obvious: did Obama choose these people, or did these people choose Obama?

One of the reasons this book is so important is clear when we consider the reasoning the American people had when electing Bush. Everyone knew he wasn't a foreign policy genius, but the average Bush voter figured that if he was surronded with the 'best and brightest' then everthing would turn out alright.

If only we had paid more attention to his advisors - the neocons, vulcans and members of the infamous Project for a New American Century - we could have predicted and maybe averted our latest adventures in the Middle East.

For this same reason, we should make sure we study Obama's advisors and determine what Obama's "Change" will really look like before it is too late.

If you are looking for a book like Tarpley's Unauthorized Biography on George Bush - prepare to be disappointed. This is more of a polemic and focuses more on Obama adivosor's particularly, Zignev Brezinski. The book is collection of essays put together and rushed on the market to captilalize on Obama's nomination. Tarpley theorizes that Zignev Brezinski is Obama's Karl Rove and may have recruited Obama when he was in college. Tarpley admits that he has no evidence of this. That's the main problem with this book - it is mostly conjecture and speculation. There are no footnotes. Tarpley obviously could have done a more thorough and well researched job but by that time market for books on Obama might have vanished - particurly if he loses to McCain. It's amazing but I don't think Tarpley read Obama's more honest autobiography Dreams of My Father. If he did there are suprisingly few references to it. The book is really mostly about Zignev Brezinski. I could go on but by far Tarpley's worst book and i have read several. If you are Tarpley fan, you won't like this book. Maybe, Tarpley had some bills to pay. That's my only explanation.

If I hadn't read this book, I'd be an Obama supporter for sure. It's hard to explain to Obama fans, but I'll try to summarize a few points from the book as I see them, for what it's worth.

What it boils down to is that a vote for Obama, paradoxically, is a vote for rightist reactionaries.

1. Obama's advisors are extreme right-wingers both on foreign and domestic policy (Brzezinski and Goolsbee). In fact, neither the book nor the election are primarily about Obama -- they're about Brzezinski. According to Tarpley, Zbig's faction has already taken control of the levers of power in the US, the Neo-Cons are out. The rest of the world and most of America hates them, they are isolated and bankrupt, their policies are failures and can't go on. The power elite realizes that imperialism desperately needs a face-lift, and they've given the green light to Zbig and his multicultural Obama puppet to turn the tables with a new, different offensive.

2. As has been obvious to other observers too, Obama's wins have been mostly Red states in the South and Central Plains, which the Republicans usually win in the General Election. Hillary won all the big Blue and Swing States -- California, New York, Texas, Pennsylvania, Florida and Michigan. Yes, Michigan does count -- Obama didn't run there because his team knew he would lose, and this strategem clinched the nomination for him. If Obama had won those Red states as a Republican nominee, he might stand a chance. Just winning primaries in Red states, where the Democratic party is small, he'll go down like Mondale and McGovern.

3. Another reason Obama will likely lose to McCain: Rove purportedly has major scandals up his sleeve (the Michelle tape and the Donald Young murder) which he will unleash after the convention to win the General Election. Interestingly, as Tarpley tells in the book, Obama won his Senate seat by destroying his opponents with scandals.

Scandal is a weapon you have to strike first with. It's too late and too lame after you've been hit yourself. But Rove is holding back, because if he strikes before the convention, it will nominate Hillary, who would clean the floor with McCain. Obama's team should strike first now since McCain is already nominated. It's curious they haven't. If they are holding back because they don't even have enough to withstand a counter-attack, they will be blown away by Karl Rove's first strike after the convention. So once again -- nominating Obama will be as good as electing McCain.

I don't buy plenty of the assumptions of the writer. For instance, I don't think the "Obama youths" are as dangerous or as high in number as the author assumes. Also, his theory that Obama would use such force to "steal" the democratic convention has proved to be false.

HOWEVER, I found pages 48-95 are worth reading.... because those detail the people and advisers behind Obama. And that part is scary and gives food for thought.

I loved reading this book. It helped to explain a lot of what has been left out of Barack Hussein Obama's glossed over past. Sure we all know how his wife hates America, and how a video of her screaming out against 'whitey' is about to appear. Obama's Rev. Wright gave us all some insight into how this man, who is running for President, feels about Americans who are not of African descent. We know that Obama thinks anyone who doesn't vote for him is "bitter" and clings to religion and to guns. We know that Obama thinks Arugula is too expensive these days and that poor farmers need to shop around and not buy it at Whole Foods (Does Big Lots sell Arugula?).We know that Obama is an appeaser and that he doesn't even know that there are 50 states in America, he actually thinks there are 57. He sees dead soldiers and believes he is giving speeches to them and that they were standing before him this past Memorial day and he believes his "uncle" saved the Jews at Auschwitz. He doesn't have an uncle and the Soviets saved the Jews at Auschwitz. He believes that his parents met at a pivotal march for Civil Rights in Selma, though he was born 4 years before he says they met. Perhaps all that cocaine he admits to having snorted may have impaired his brain a bit, what else could account for some of the things he says? All of these are know facts about Obama, but this book tells us how he got to where he is today.

Obama is a dangerous product of Chicago-style politics. I recommend anyone considering voting for him to read this book and then take a good hard look at John McCain. Between the two of them, there is no question. One is a war hero and Obama is an empty suit who caters to children who want to be spoon-fed on platitudes of "hopes and dreams"

Once again, GREAT BOOK.

Uhm, wasn't the Manchurian Candidate a former war hero held as a POW, who then entered politics upon his return to the U.S, and after climbing through the political ranks ran a campaign based on his war hero/POW background? Yeah, that sounds like someone running for President in 2008, but not Barack Obama.

This conspiracy theory is this year's contender for the "Protocols of Zion" award: a piece of fictional trash masquerading as fact. Nowhere are there any factual and rational supporting documents, just suppositions based on paranoia: (Obama "recruited" by Brezinski; Skull and Bones - which would hardly admit a Black - economics, etc.). I wouldn't be surprised if this poor excuse for swift-boating was funded by Boone Pickens, the right-wing oilman who funded the "Kerry is a traitor" and "McCain fathered a black baby" and "McCain collaborated with the Communists" attacks.

Any intelligent person who is more interested in rational thought than in paranoia will have no difficulty seeing through this nonsense.

I almost thought Webster Trapley had substance in his books. Thank you for writing this junk and letting us know who you truly are. I had just started reading one of your books -- but will no longer bother.

Even the right-wing wouldn't push such an insulting angel. Concpiracy theories ahoy in this self-published rag made by an angry Hillary fanatic (Who also happens to be a 9/11 truther) that no one will read, and with good reason.

I am pleased to see that there are already two positive and perceptive reviews of this new book. I will try to encourage readers who might be skeptical of the basic tenets of this book to look beyond some of the words such as "Fascist" and "Trilateral Commission" to find out what these terms actually mean. While this book is clearly polemical in tone, it supports what may appear at first blush to be outrageous or merely facile claims with erudite historical background, much as Mr Tarpley did in George Bush: The Unauthorized Biography. Mr Tarpley's attack on Obama must be understood as a thoughtful, considered attack from the moderate left, not the illiterate vituperative attack one often hears from the rabid Right.

Why should Americans be concerned about Fascism in 2008? Before you say, "Why, indeed?", doubtless thinking of the current Cheney-Bush regime, one should look at the early history of Fascism, which was controlled by bankers but given left radical anti-establishment cover in its nascent stage.

"The radical, anti-establishment, and leftist overtones of fascism may be the hardest
for the present day American to grasp. Mussolini, Hitler, Franco, and their ilk appear
in retrospect as right wing extremists of the most exasperated type. But it should be

insisted on calling his movement national socialism."

"Obama - The Postmodern Coup" goes on to give a brief history of European Fascism, drawing parallels with current and possible near future events in America and elsewhere.

The Trilateral Commission plays a big role in this book, particularly as its co-founder Zbigniew Brzezinski is Obama's primary advisor. The failed Jimmy Carter Presidency was dubbed the "Trilateral Presidency" at the time due to the overwhelming influence of the Trilateral Commission on Carter's presidency. Mr Tarpley analyzes the Carter Presidency very closely, and offers it as a mirror to a possible Obama Presidency. The candidacy periods are already eerily similar, which should lead one to draw some very obvious conclusions about a possible Obama presidency. Trilateralist and former FCC chairman (1979-87), Paul Adolf Volker, he of the 22% prime rate that aided in the de-industrialization of the USA, is firmly in the Obama camp. Beware!

An important concept to understand in this critique is the CIA Color Revolution/People Power coups that have been staged with varying degrees of success in Ukraine, Serbia, Georgia and Belarus. This book maintains that the Obama candidacy is just such a coup. As outrageous as that sounds, the book makes an excellent case to support this claim. If you do not understand what is behind the demonstrations last year in Myanmar, and this year in Tibet, this book will enlighten you.

Mr Tarpley espouses a concept of periodic party re-alignments and believes that 2008 marks the possible beginning of a new re-alignment. This appears to be a valid concept, and lends increased urgency to his call to stop the Obama coup in its tracks.

This book is as much a critique of Zbigniew Brzezinski as it is of Obama. One cannot understand the Obama candidacy without an understanding of Brzezinski and what he stands for. While Brzezinski has claimed that he does not play an important role for Obama, the European press at least sees through this, as documented. Brzezinski the petty revanchist, the dangerous Russophobe, the evil genius who destroyed the Carter Presidency, is exposed in detail. Many on the Left are fooled into thinking that the splitting up of larger nations such as Yugoslavia, Iraq and Turkey is always a good thing. Brzezinski thinks so too, but not out of benevolence. From p. 109:

"Zbig claims that the real goal of the
world-wide awakening is "dignity." By dignity he means respect for
every minute parochial or particularist trait of every real or imagined
ethnic group and sub-group. It is the kind of dignity that reduces those
who enjoy it from the status of independent nations to mere
ethnographic material. Such dignity as Zbig imagines it can only be
attained by the smallest possible political units - by the thorough
balkanization, partition, and subdivision of the existing national
states."

Mr Tarpley shows in detail how this balkanization is designed solely to make these areas easier for a hegemon to control. In case you didn't know, these plans tend to backfire, as the two World Wars have demonstrated.

Two other authors, Bruce Marshall and Jonathan Mowat, also contributed chapters to this book. Bruce Marshall exposes Obama's proposal for a National Infrastructure Reinvestment Bank (NIRB) as a Wall Street boondoggle, not a return to the values of FDR as claimed. Mr Marshall also exposes the incompetence and duplicity of Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean. Dr Dean is planning a pre-convention convention (perhaps in June) of the super delegates to try to get them to commit to Obama before the convention in August. Jonathan Mowat's chapter, "The new Gladio in action?", while it pre-dates the 2008 electoral race, details the CIA coups in Ukraine, Serbia and Georgia and outlines the roles of CIA front groups including the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and Gene Sharp's sadly mis-named Albert Einstein Institution.

As one other reviewer commented, if appointments were made on merit, Mr Tarpley would be a distinguished professor at a large university. This book was produced under great time pressures, and as such was not as tightly edited as it would otherwise have been. While it lacks an index, I overcame that by ordering a fully searchable pdf copy that I was able to download instantly after making my payment. While this is an "instant" book, it should endure as an important historical document, regardless of the outcome of the 2008 conventions and elections. I give it my highest recommendation.

In the context of all that I know and have read, this book shocked me into realizing that the author may well be correct, and that Senator Obama and his wife, as intelligent and well-intentioned as they may be, are nothing more than puppets to a Trilateral Commission/Federal Reserve mafia.

I say this as someone who believed in the potential of this candidate, but who subsequently found that his campaign staff, his senior political advisor, and even Oprah Winfrey, are so enthralled with the prospects of an easy engineered win (money talks), that they are refusing to engage with or listen to Libertarians, Greens, Reforms, Naderites, or Independents. They refuse to mention the word "transpartisan" that outs the lie of bipartisanship ("keep the two-party spoils system alive, continue to exclude Independents and others from all debates"), they refuse to address the need for Electoral Reform and the naming of a transpartisan cabinet in advance of the election, and they refuse to create much less publish any semblance of a balanced budget, without which all of their promises are empty (as well as often mis-guided). So for all of these reasons, as venomous as the author's book it, I find it credible and compelling. This book also explains why Mike Bloomberg has gone silent--others with more money than he appear to have persuaded him he could, like Bear Sterns, be punished by being bankrupted.

MOST INTRIGUING is the manner in which the author dissects and evaluates Senator Obama in the context of who his advisors are.

I now realize that the refusal of all three candidates to outline any kind of strategy for eradicating the ten high-level threats to mankind by harmonizing the twelve policies is deliberate--they don't HAVE a strategy, they have an agenda, and it does not include our well-being.

Let me set the stage with two quotes from pages 178 and 179:

"Obama is best understood as a multi-contractor puppet with hardware from the Ford Foundation and software from the Rockefeller-Trilateral-Brzezinski circles."

"The Obama campaign has thus far been shown to represent: the Ford Foundation, the Trilateral Commission, the New York Council on Foreign Relations, the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderberger Group, Skull and Bones, the RAND Corporation, the Soros Foundation, the Rockefeller family, and the Friedmanite Chicago School of economic genocide. Obama is the Manchurian candidate groomed and indoctrinated by those financier-controlled groups. As president, Obama would impose a regime of crushing economic austerity and a new set of foreign wars far worse than what has been seen under Bush."

I am going to highlight a few points here, and reserve the option of modifying this review after I talk to the author tonight. I want to get this down while it is fresh in my mind.

The real kicker, the "truth-teller" that persuades me this author is on to a very important potential nightmare scenario for the USA, is the role of Zbigniew Brzezinski as the top foreign policy advisor and indeed the "maker" of both Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama.

I have always respected Brzezinski's talents, but as I have grown older and wiser I have come to see him as nothing more than a war criminal, no better or worse than Henry Kissinger, both of them convinced that a) they know better, b) their grand strategic design demands the subversion of all who stand in their way, and c) never mind a little genocide here and there (and especially in Africa), eugenics is code for depopulating the areas we have not finished looting.

What I see in the two political parties, both Running On Empty, is a propensity to promote sycophants and then let them do great evil "in our name" and without retribution.

The book on Kissinger has been written: The Trial of Henry Kissinger. The book on Brzezinski remains to be written. For a taste, see Breaking the Real Axis of Evil: How to Oust the World's Last Dictators by 2025.

I share the author's view of Brzezinski as a loose cannon with a rabid anti-Russian sentiment, and I for one will not vote for any candidate that allows Brzezinski to play with our loose nukes, or to antagonize Russia with missile defense in Poland.

The author is quite persuasive when he discusses the manner in which Brzezinski obtained both political asylum and a lucrative complete funding package for the Chechnyan terrorist leader now granted asylum and living in splendor here in the DC area (at taxpayer expense).

He makes it a point to observe that Brzezinski is an opponent of Third World development, wanting no more miracles such as have been achieved in Asia.

I believe the author when he describes Senator Obama as Brzezinski's last chance, at 80, to create destabilization along the Russian western border, and to goad China into invading Siberia to the point there is a Russian-Chinese war. Thus does Brzezinski go up in flames, taking the rest of us with him.

Other Obama advisors (less Joe Nye, who can be reasonable) are also frightening, buy and read the book for details.

The author has several major pet rocks that get tossed around, and I summarize them here:

1) The Clintons are the lesser evil because they have no single owner and Senator Clinton, for all her flaws and tribulations, appears to be genuinely in favor of New Deal arrangements for the working class and the vanishing middle class..

2) The young trouble this author. He considers them ignorant, gullible, and too subject to manipulation,

3) Fascism lurks, and one price Senator Obama may have to pay is that of his life--being assassinated early on (shortly after inauguration ostensibly by a foreign agent)so the Vice President can take over and fulfill the fascist/corporate control dream. I shake my head as I write this--if I had not lived the life I have, been part of the CIA, read all the books I have, all of this would be disreputable ranting. The book is an indictment, not a conviction, and merits attention.

In other provocative notes the author considers Mark Penn to have been a mole into the Clinton campaign all along, and to have provided a strategy intended to fail, bolstered by fake polling that misled Senator Clinton.

The author laments the splintering of the 9/11 Truth Movement between Kucinich and Ron Paul, and suggests that Kucinich was in grave error when he threw his delegates to Senator Obama.

The author explores how John Edwards dominates the two major issues of the day, poverty and labor rights, and these were essentially stolen from him with "big money" we do not see behind the "little money."

The author draws to a close warning the reader that like Jimmy Carter, Barack Obama was selected and promoted by the Trilateral Commission, and that like Jimmy Carter, he will preside over a melt-down of the US. Indeed, he draws a line from "malaise" to Mrs. Obama's discussion of "broken souls."

The author believes that Senator Obama is being set up for a fall with the national infrastructure fund, which will be speculative and lead to a major economic setback (for the little people, the funds will do fine).

The author believes that the mental health of the candidates for President is something that must be examined in public very carefully. He has grave doubts about both Senator Obama and Senator McCain, and while I have grave doubts about Senator Clinton's ability to listen to anyone other than her cronies, I do NOT have a single doubt at all about her sanity and seriousness of purpose.

His draft emergency economic recovery plan covers a stop of foreclosures, raising minimum wage, Tobin Tax implementation, single-payer health care, tax relief for families, nationalization of the Federal reserve and re-regulation of banking and finance, funding infrastructure to eliminate daily auto commutes, protection of the family farm, attention to global depression, and restoration of FDR's "freedom from want."

So there you have it. I am impressed.

In the context of all that I know and have read, this book shocked me into realizing that the author may well be correct, and that Senator Obama and his wife, as intelligent and well-intentioned as they may be, are nothing more than puppets to a Trilateral Commission/Federal Reserve mafia.

MOST INTRIGUING is the manner in which the author dissects and evaluates Senator Obama in the context of who his advisors are.

I now realize that the refusal of all three candidates to outline any kind of strategy for eradicating the ten high-level threats to mankind by harmonizing the twelve policies is deliberate--they don't HAVE a strategy, they have an agenda, and it does not include our well-being.

Let me set the stage with two quotes from pages 178 and 179:

"Obama is best understood as a multi-contractor puppet with hardware from the Ford Foundation and software from the Rockefeller-Trilateral-Brzezinski circles."

"The Obama campaign has thus far been shown to represent: the Ford Foundation, the Trilateral Commission, the New York Council on Foreign Relations, the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderberger Group, Skull and Bones, the RAND Corporation, the Soros Foundation, the Rockefeller family, and the Friedmanite Chicago School of economic genocide. Obama is the Manchurian candidate groomed and indoctrinated by those financier-controlled groups. As president, Obama would impose a regime of crushing economic austerity and a new set of foreign wars far worse than what has been seen under Bush."

I am going to highlight a few points here, and reserve the option of modifying this review after I talk to the author tonight. I want to get this down while it is fresh in my mind.

The real kicker, the "truth-teller" that persuades me this author is on to a very important potential nightmare scenario for the USA, is the role of Zbigniew Brzezinski as the top foreign policy advisor and indeed the "maker" of both Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama.

I have always respected Brzezinski's talents, but as I have grown older and wiser I have come to see him as nothing more than a war criminal, no better or worse than Henry Kissinger, both of them convinced that a) they know better, b) their grand strategic design demands the subversion of all who stand in their way, and c) never mind a little genocide here and there (and especially in Africa), eugenics is code for depopulating the areas we have not finished looting.

What I see in the two political parties, both Running On Empty, is a propensity to promote sycophants and then let them do great evil "in our name" and without retribution.
