I am an EMT-B and just purchsed this book recently, it has been a invaluable tool for me in the field. With the limited phamacology we had it is great to be able to carry this book with me and reference the medications the PT's have taken. The in depth information is fantastic, drug interactions, side effects, doseages, and OD information has given me the a tool to provide better care to PT's in emergency situations. Anyone who take prescription meds or treats those who do, should have this book. If you know a Dr., Nurse, Paramedic, or an EMT, this would be a gift they will use again and again. (Hint, Hint) I guarantee they will love you for it. Now for my gripe, why do people give lower ratings due to the fact that the book is laid out differently than a previous edition? Does it make it worse? Or is it just that they have to get used to a different format? Does that really warrant a lesser rating? The layout of this book is very easy to use and understand, so 4 stars because of a change in the layout is lame and childish. C'mon give me a break, that helps no one, it's not even a legitimate gripe.

Book was new as stated, the person sent the book within the stated time frame. Highly recomend this person.

The book is what I expected. I would appreciate slightly thicker paper be used so the pages were easier to turn, but that is an issue for the publisher, not you.

Although I used to buy different drug references in the past, I have found that Mosby's Nursing Drug Reference is the easiest to use and provides more of the information I need for my writing projects.

I like the way this book is laid out. Its alphabetic but also has many other easy to find and use references.

I really liked this drug book. I only gave it a 4 because I bought the new version to replace my old and the formatting has changed much since the 2003 version, so I had some difficulties finding subtitles at first! I would reccommend this product to others.

My father had a Hospice nurse who had a 2003 version of this book. I ordered her the 2009 version to thank her for her dedicated work. She
was very grateful and indicated the book is easy to use and very
comprehensive. She passed her 2003 version onto a student nurse.

I'm currently in Nursing school and this book is worth every penny. It is simple to look up the meds that I give out and the Cross indexing of the verious drugs is very helpful. I'm really happy with this book and am sure it will come in handy in my new career.

I bought it for my daughter for her nursing classes. It absolutely helped her in her studies. She highly recommends it to anybody in this field.

This book is smaller in size than some drug books which is good for a student that has very little space in clinicals. It's a little different than other books but it's good. It has a PDA version too.

An excellent book for nursing school and beyond. Drugs are easy to find and information is easy to read.

I think that Mosby's is by far the best product when it comes to Nursing!! Very easy to find medications

An excellent drug reference. The drug monographs are well written and include more complete information than found in many other references including herb interactions and unlabeled uses. The do-not-confuse information is also well researched and well written. Even though this guide is targeted at nurses, the information here is presented in an accessible format readable by most anyone. The physical size of the book is also nice - small enough to be easily portable (not like a PDR!) the book is physically smaller than it looks in the Amazon picture. The only suggested improvement is if this book was available in an electronic format.

This is the greatest drug book!!! I am an LPN and I have to say, I wish I had known about these books before I went to nursing school. I think all people that take medicine should have one... It is a very useful tool. Too many people depend on the doctors to know whats best for them and don't even worry about what the medicine could be doing to them. Try this book out and you'll see just how much you don't know about the medicine you may be taking.
