(Hide Review...)  Great stories for my 5 year old....

I bought this series after reading the positive reviews on Amazon. My five year old son enjoys the stories very much. I personally like how all of the adventures are tied together by the kids' experiences in the tree house. After we finish the first four, I am looking forward to buying the next set.

My daughter is 7 and she reads on a 5th grade level so it is hard to find books that are challenging enough but that she still enjoys.Even though these books are rated for 4-8 yrs they work perfect for her. They are so much better than some of the cheesy books books she brings home from the school library to read that take her 15 minutes to finish. We tried Charlotte's Web because it is a movie she really enjoys and although she was perfectly capable of reading it after the first 5 chapters she had lost interest.Even though she is a good reader I have to keep in mind that she is still only 7.

These are the books she asks for,the ones she reads several times and that is fine with me.They are fantasy however they have bits of historical information throughout and a book that teaches and kids don't even realize they are learning because they enjoy it so much is the best kind in my opinion. My daughter even acts out some of the stories with a little back pack she has. These are the types of books your kids will start doing the did you know questions and believe me nothing feels better than for you child to actually teach YOU something.

Jack and Annie always work together to complete their mission and take notes of historal information along the way. These books are not gender specific so they are great for boys and girls. These are some of the best chapter books and I recommend them to any parent looking for quality books to keep their children interested in reading.5 stars

I purchased the Magic Tree House books for my eight year old granddaughter. She actually started reading other books by Mary Pope Osborne in first grade. She loves Osborne's books, so we decided to get the Magic Tree House Series and see if she enjoyed them as much as the others she had read in first grade. Well, she loves them and has them by her bedside and reads them every night before going to sleep. I plan on purchasing them for my other 6-1/2 year old granddaughter real soon. Fun, fun stories!

What a great Christmas present these made. And it was extra special how they came in their "box" set. My son loves these books, and it's neat to see what some of the clues in one book leads to something else in the next. These books keeps my son's interest and we are able to read more than what is required for him of school.

What can I say about Magic Tree House Books? Wow! My eight year old son has been reading them for quite a while now. Our public library does a great job at keeping a variety but doesn't always have the one that he's just dying to read today. I hope that by giving him at least a few of his own favorites that are in this set to keep on hand at home will satisfy his very large reading appetite.

I bought these for my 6 year old grandson for his birthday. He was excited to get them, but they were laid aside for the even more exciting toys that he received. However, as the toys got boring, these books became more entertaining. Currently he is immensely enjoying reading them. They are excellent beginning readers.

My 1st grader hates to put them down, he would rather read Magic Tree House books, than play video games. He even reads them to his class and explains the story for show and tell. When he was in kindergarten, the teacher would also let him read the Magic Tree House books out loud, not given her a break, but to promote reading out loud. Great books!

My son received this box set for Xmas...
It was the BEST reaction to any present he opened or received!!!
He yelled and screamed and ran around the living room!
NOW THAT is priceless!
Any book\series that creates that kind of enthusiasim has earned 5 stars. He is most curious and wants to know what the next books inthe series are about, and where we are going.
I am thrilled to be passing on my passion for reading to my son. I am pleased that I found a fun, easy and light series to introduce him to the world of "real reading". The books inspire him to ask questions about people, real places, history and other cultures. That too is priceless.

After attempting to sign out the Magic Tree House books in order from our local library without much success due to there popularity - I decided to buy them through Amazon. Purchasing the books in the box set made the price very reasonable. Our family has been spending a lot of time together reading these books and my 5 and 7 year old just can not seem to get enough of them.
