The case presented in this book about what the Ark really is, or was, makes more sense to me than a chest for God to inhabit while the Israelites made their way to Canaan.

Just because a book sounds scholary doesn't mean it is. In fact, other than some intersting insights into who Moses may have been, the rest of this book is perhaps the most ridicoulous book I have ever read.
