In a few short days I read all of the Gossip Girl books except for the prequel which I am almost done with now. This was an excellent ending book. I would have liked Nate and Serena to get together but such is life and I am glad Nate went off rather then choosing Blair. You definately felt complete when reading this. You werent left hanging and I am hoping for a reunion book.

I purchased my book on 7-9-08 and the money was withdrawn from my account, however I have yet to receive my book and I emailed the seller and have yet to get a response. I have ordered several times from Amazon and have been very happy in the past. However at this time I just would like to know where either my book is or the money that was taken out of my account? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

I thought this book was a severe disappointment. First, it was not even written by Cecily - only "created by". There were all sorts of continuity problems: Serena's perfume - patouchi, jasmine, sandalwood in all of the other books or patouchuli and lilies; Blair thinking that she had seen Serena every day of her life - obviously no true - Serena boarding school, one month at sea, etc. etc.
The Fans of this Series deserved more than this poorly written and poorly edited book. (Review Data Last Updated: 2008-08-12 07:41:15 EST)

When you first graduate, you're on top of the world, thinking about the future. But even the people of the Upper East Side know that, within a few short months, they'll be reminiscing about the people and experiences they'll be leaving behind - or not. Now, with ten short days left until everyone heads off to their respective colleges, it's time to party like there's no tomorrow, and soak up as many memories as possible before everyone goes their separate ways.
After spending the last month aboard a gorgeous boat with her hot other half, Nate Archibald, Blair Waldorf is convinced that their relationship is one that will last. And now, with just ten days before she heads off to Yale with the love of her life, and her frenemy, Serena van der Woodsen, Blair can't help but find herself on top of the world. The only thing making her shiver in her Marc Jacobs flats is the sappy love letter she found in the glove compartment of Nate's car. The writer? Serena van der Woodsen herself. Sure, Blair made sure to dispose of the evidence before Nate laid his gorgeous green eyes upon it. But, knowing Serena, there's always a possibility that she'll find a way to Nate before Blair has a chance to destroy anything between the two of them. Luckily, she's able to keep herself busy by buying all of the necessities she and Nate will need to live happily-ever-after in a quaint cottage she has created in her mind. Nate Archibald had the time of his life sailing about with Blair for one blissful month; but now that he's back on dry land, he can't help but think about Serena van der Woodsen. Like Blair, he and Serena have so much history, and he's reluctant to throw it all away. But he has to push thoughts of romance aside as he faces his domineering father who has just discovered that Nate will not be attending Yale in the fall. Instead, he'll be going where no normal teenager would go - back to high school. After bailing on his promised assistance at Coach Michaels's home, Nate managed to get himself into even more hot water, and now he has to find a way to let Blair in on his plans - or, rather, lack thereof. Maybe he is better off with Serena - at least she'd take his news in stride. It took years to realize, but Serena van der Woodsen finally knows that Nate Archibald is the one and only guy for her. But after he takes off with Blair, the only thing she has left to do is promote her first feature film Breakfast At Fred's, which is garnering rave reviews from every critic in the country. When the two lovebirds return, however, Serena can't help but feel that Nate is sending her messages of the romantic variety. Unfortunately, she has no idea whether or not he has received her forbidden letter, and doesn't know how to react. The fact that she's contemplating deferring Yale for a year doesn't set her mind at ease much either. Looks like someone had better make some decisions - stat! After dabbling with being gay for a bit of time, Dan Humphrey is beginning to wonder if, much to his family and friend's surprise, he is actually straight. If the overwhelming feelings he's experiencing towards Vanessa Abrams - again! - is any indication, we may just be able to chalk the whole incident up to confusion. After gallivanting around Prague for the summer, Jenny Humphrey can't wait to pack up her things and head off to Waverly Academy. But first she'll have to find a way to gain entrance to the hottest party of the summer for one last blowout before she bids adieu to the Big Apple. Vanessa Abrams has had her share of summer jobs over the past few months; but the one thing she wants is Dan. Maybe, with a few well-placed hints, she'll be able to win him back - once and for all. Cecily von Ziegesar has kept us all on the edge-of-our-seats for the past few years, digesting more and more gossip to discover what, exactly, would happen with some of our Upper East Siders. DON'T YOU FORGET ABOUT ME finally puts our minds to rest - slightly. As always, Blair seems to be living in her own little bubble, refusing to come to terms with any of the new revelations which have rocked her world over the past few months. Serena has reverted back to the solemn, slightly depressed girl who we were introduced to in the debut GOSSIP GIRL. And Nate seems to be - gasp! - finally maturing, at least a little bit. The ping-pong relationship between Dan and Vanessa is, once again, in full force; but it's welcome, after the turmoil that has taken place between the two of them in the past couple of books. And Jenny's minor appearance certainly drops a ray of sunshine into the story, and gets us ready for a new adventure - accompanying her to Waverly Academy. The hints that are dropped regarding a new set of characters coming into the picture make for a slightly exciting bit of info. Yet saying farewell to the people we know and love is still difficult, and tragic, in it's own way. A bittersweet end to an era. This was a great way to end the series for nate, blair, and serena. I'll admit it, I cried at the end. I read every Gossip Girl novel, but this one was byfar my favorite. Cecily knows how to write a series. You're hooked, and the characters become a big part of your life. (at least for me anyway). I'm super excited for the pre-quil, scheduled to release in october; and very, VERY, excited for the tv show...i'm interested to see how much they actually keep to the book. This series is amazing, so buy them all, read them all, and pretend to be them all!

I'm an avid reader of Gossip Girl, and when my copy of this novel came in the mail I was very excited to read it. I loved every bit of it, except one thing. There are so many mistakes in the story. One minute Nate has BUCK NAKED written on his chest in red ink, and the next page it'll say it was black. Things like this continued on with what the girls were wearing. The author is famous for sticking in designer labels wherever she sees fit, but this time I think she got a little mixed up. One page Blair is wearing coral colored Prada flats, let's say, and the next page they magically turn into leopard print D&G's. It was little things like that that annoyed me but overall it was an AMAZING book and I can't wait for the prequel.

The eleventh and final novel of the Gossip Girl series was, to say the least, a little mediocre. I have to agree with majority of the reviews that, whereas it was a fun read like all the previous books, I kind of expected a little more. It seems it ended quickly with a boring just-need-to-finish-the-series goodbye.
Though I am excited to for the new "season" of Gossip Girl staring the Carlyle Triplets, I wonder if it will just be a repeat or the same played out drama that we've seen with Blair, Serena, Nate and the other characters of the first Gossip Girl. Of course that won't stop be from buying the novel anyways! :) P.S. To all the Gossip Girl fans, the CW is going to be airing Gossip Girl the tv series in the fall of 2007, so keep an eye for commercials. Blake Lively will be playing Serena, but for more information go to IMDB.com or Wikipedia.com and search for "Gossip Girl". (Review Data Last Updated: 2007-10-11 23:37:33 EST)

This book sucked. And thank God it is the last, these characters need to be put to rest.
But it is so surpising? After Cecily left, the book got very, VERY dumb. Ok, in the latest installment, Nate finds out that he's in love with both Blair and Serena. Oh, big shocker. As if we didn't see that coming already. And I'm so damn tired of Serena. She is such a Mary-Sue. No one is perfect like that. And it irks me to death how much time is wasted describing her slutty behind. And Dan? Oh, lord. How did I kwow? Hmm, maybe because no one in this book can last wth anyone for more than a chapter? Dan is not gay. I saw this coming. You saw it coming. You dead ancestors saw it coming. And who does he like, yet again? Vanessaaaa. Wow. Sorry, but this book was very stupid and I regret ever buying it. Oh, and did you hear? This series is getting NEW people next year. Wow, more Mary-Sues. Can't wait! >:U (Review Data Last Updated: 2007-10-11 23:37:33 EST)

Once again, the characters of von Ziegesar's G. G. series have captured my attention & taken me on another dramatic adventure in the life & times of rich, Manhattan teens. If you've followed this series from the start, like I have, then you'll be thoroughly entertained & satisfied with the last chapters of the overwhelmingly chaotic, yet amusing, story of these characters lives. It'll have you heart-wrenched & heart-warmed as you join Blair, Serena, Nate & all the other people we seem to be wishing we were during their last summer before college. Just when you think you know exactly who gets their way & who ends up sitting in Central Park alone, the ending hits you & you're left wishing there was more to the story than that. I definitely recommend this as a good read to anyone, but especially to those of you still waiting to see how the grand adventure ends.

Senior year is finally over for the crew, and they've been lounging all summer getting ready for the fall. Blair and Nate have spent a month out to sea, rekindling and remembering why they are still in love. Serena has been moping around wondering whether or not Nate got the love letter, Dan is questioning his sexuality, and Vanessa is...just Vanessa.
As if things couldn't get any crazier, although Blair has a death wish waiting for Serena because she is the one who found the letter, that little problem has to wait. Her family has decided to move to Los Angeles, and she can't even imagine leaving New York, or Nate. Being the control freak she is, everyone should know that this is supposed to be her time to shine, as she is about to go off to Yale with the love of her life. Or is she? Nate has been avoiding the inevitable all summer. In fact, he hasn't told Blair or Serena about his little escapade that prevents him from getting his diploma. Maybe it would help a bit if he stopped getting stoned. To make matters worse, his father isn't giving in or trying to make things better. Nate's old man has decided that Nate should do senior year all over again, and maybe he'll appreciate it this time. Despite the embarrassment of it all, Nate has bigger fish to fry: he's in love with Blair and Serena. How can he choose? Getting older is all about maturing, and it's high time he did. What will he do to make things right? Serena thinks she has it all figured out, as she plans to attend Yale. But now that her face is plastered all over the city, she's in for quite a surprise as she finds out that she's the new It Girl in the industry. This means that Yale will have to wait --- she needs to nurture her career and Nate, since he's not going to Yale either. Something has to give, and she's ready to take the plunge and confess her true feelings. The problem is, how do you effectively betray your best friend without hurting her? Dan and Vanessa have gone through the entire summer with Dan wondering whether or not he's gay. Although he did kiss another guy, was it something he really wanted to do? Vanessa is trying to remain supportive, but Dan doesn't seem gay to her. She's still in love with him and needs to help him realize what he really wants. No one likes to live in confusion. Cleverly penned, witty and a true page-turner, this 11th installment in Cecily von Ziegesar's Gossip Girl series doesn't fail. You can't help but love the brats, in all of their high-maintenance splendor. Truly a world of the rich and famous, one thing is for certain: We haven't seen the last of them. Honestly, it's only just begun... --- Reviewed by Belinda Williams (Review Data Last Updated: 2007-10-11 23:37:33 EST)

This was definitely an improvement on the last couple books. The scenes between Dan and his mother were laugh-out-loud hilarious and Nate, though direcionless and just plain dumb as usual, was less annoying. His fear of his future was something most teenagers can relate to on some degree. As for Blair and Serena, they and their not-right-for-each-other friendship was perfect.
A good end to the series! (Review Data Last Updated: 2007-10-11 23:37:33 EST)

As expected of this amazing author, DON'T YOU FORGET ABOUT ME didn't disappoint for the 11th book in our favorite series about our favorite New York rich kids!
Blair and Nate finally come back from their month out on the ocean. Nate knew that what he did wasn't so smart, so he avoided going home for as long as possible. But did you really think that he was going to get in a whole lot of trouble? I mean, come on, it's Nate! Blair is crazy in love with Nate and getting ready to go to college. She gets ready by going shopping for dorm room stuff and going to the Roman-themed party that her mother threw her to say good-bye. Serena is going to "Breakfast At Fred" parties and just being her star-studded self. How is she going to handle all of the autograph hounds? Dan -- gay or straight is the question. Vanessa is only making that decision harder! Ruby, Vanessa's crazy sister, is getting married to that Eurotrash loser that she has been going out with! Let's see how Vanessa handles that! This is another great addition to this fun, crazy series! A definite poolside must-read for this summer! Reviewed by: Taylor Rector (Review Data Last Updated: 2007-06-28 12:19:00 EST)

I love Gossip Girl books and this (like all of them) was a great one. I found the ending to be sad. I also recommend the other series It Girl.

"Don't you Forget About Me" is the 11th book from the popular teen series "Gossip Girl", and most likely this will be the last book including the original Gossip Girl characters, that is if you want to include the prequel coming in October. According to the last page of the book next year Gossip Girl will start with a whole new set of characters reigning the Upper East Side, since all the Original ones that we learned to love and hate are now college bound (well, most of them at least).
After Nate Archibald confesses to Blair Waldorf that he is in love with her, they both decide to ditch their best friend Serena van der Woodsen's country house in Connecticut to go out and spend a whole month together sailing on Nate's yacht. The problem is that Serena is in love with Nate too, but Nate does not know it, but Blair does though, and after Serena leaves a letter in Nate's car compartment Blair finds it, reads it, and tears it to pieces, but when Blair and Nate come back from their little romantic getaway, Blair finds Serena in her penthouse with her mom organizing a "going away to college party" for Blair and her stepbrother Aaron. That is when Blair's Mother tells her the ghastly news that they will all be moving to L.A. Blair is devastated and does not want her family moving out from NYC, and she certainly does not want to leave Nate behind in the city with Serena not after what she found out. Serena and Nate are asked by Blair's Mom to organize a slideshow of pictures of Blair from when she was a little girl to now. Serena tells Nate straight up she loves him, surprisingly he loves her too. Nate is told by his dad that he will have to repeat his senior year at St. Judes, but not if Blair can help it. Serena is told by Ken Mogul (famous movie director) that she will be making 3 more movies with him, making her decide whether she should stay in the city or go to Yale with her best friend. Nate meets a Navy General who gives him some good advice on what to do with Blair and Serena, and pretty much life in general. Chuck finds a special someone, but you'll be surprised, who that special someone is. Dan is not sure whether he is really gay or not, since he still thinks he has feelings for his ex Vanessa. Vanessa gets a shocking makeover. Vanessa's sister Ruby gets Married. Dan and Jenny's mom comes to visit Dan after finding out he is gay, and throws him an embarrassing "coming-out" party, and Jenny comes back from Europe who will now be heading to boarding school. This book was certainly an extreme improvement from the last book, I was on the edge of my seat reading if Nate was gonna stay with Blair or Serena, and if Serena and Blair were gonna continue being friends. I've been a Blair fan since day one, so I was always rooting for her. Dan's storyline was hilarious, and I really liked Vanessa in this book. I will truly miss these characters, and since I am a college student ,and spent my high school years reading about Blair, Serena, Nate, Dan, Vanessa, Jenny, Chuck, etc. It is most likely that I too will discontinue to buy the rest of gossip girl. Farewell. (Review Data Last Updated: 2007-05-19 09:58:45 EST)

This was a classic Gossip Girl novel, with a little bit too many cliche moments. Though the story between Dan, Vanessa, Chuck, and a few other characters you will find out about is quite hilarious. I could not contain my laughter. Other than these three, well, don't worry about Serena, Blair, and Nate....they all stay more than perfect. ;)

Cecily von Ziegesar has definitely outdone herself with this one! I figured it would be the last and give away who Gossip Girl truly is, but there was more than just that surprise in the ending. I absolutely loved it! If you haven't read the entire series though, I would recommend you run out and buy all of them RIGHT NOW! I'm already excited for the prequel to come out, but not so sure what I think about the triplet thing (you'll know what I mean when you check out the end of the book). Everyone will love this novel for sure!

WARNING: This review contains basic spoilers
This is it. The end of the original Gossip Girl crew (not counting the prequel that comes out in October) is out of here. It would have been a good book if someone hadn't suddenly decided that Nate had been in love with both Serena and Blair his entire life-which makes no sense, considering what happened last time Serena and Nate were together. This screws up the entire story, going back to the beginning of the series. We see some familiar faces in this book, like Blair's stepbrother Aaron, and Jenny Humphrey, now of "It Girl" fame. Neither of these characters have POV scenes, which pretty much makes them window dressing. I also had the impression that the author wasn't too happy with Dan's resolution, but couldn't change it for fear of messing up "It Girl" continuity. Continuity is a mess in this book, that's the whole problem. And, most dissapointing of all, we are still kept in the dark about the titular character's identity. Maybe when Gossip Girl reboots with new cast, it might be better, but I can't help but feel that the original cast was done a disservice with a mediocre farewell.
