A lot of hard work went into the research of this book and the results reflect it.
An excellent book to reference and to read. Glory Days: The Untold Story of the Men Who Flew the B-66 Destroyer into the Face of Fear (Review Data Last Updated: 2010-03-17 01:07:38 EST)

The is by far the best book ever written on an aircraft and unit that served in the South East Asia war. The USAF squadron/wing SEA records at USAF HRA, Maxwell AFB, AL, and NARA, College Park, MD, are virtually USELESS for compiling any USAF combat unit history--excluding S&R. Therefore, first-hand accounts from air crew members is the only method available for compiling a true chronological history. The book is an excellent example of how this may be accomplished. Excellent book in all aspects. Covers the technical aspects well, and never lost sight of the human part of the B-66 story. A fine description of how the "political aspects" of the government hindered the efforts of the aircraft and its crews during the time in service.

Great book on a little known subject. Anyone interested in the Air War in Vietnam and the problems with the enemy, would greatly enhance there knowledge.

I am especially interested in this book, I also have read the book, "BAT 21" an earlier book on the same subject. I lost a personal friend (USAF Lt. Col. Tony Giannangeli, Electronic Warfare crewmember on Bat 21), lost in this flight. I was also an Electronic Warfare officer, flying similar flights over North Viet Nam in 1966, several years prior to Bat 21.
I have not finished reading the entire book, I am now a little older and I don't read all that fast because my eyes don't work quit as good as they used to be, sorry. I find the portion of the book I have completed, I have found the book exceptionally good reading. I would recommend this book to anyone to read, because it places a number of consideratons of the EB-66 aircraft's limits and effectivenesses in combat.
