The artistic presentation here is not the slickest, but the information is what's important, and that is pretty well organized. It is an ambitious project to try to educate brainwashed American "consumers" on some of the more obscure but critically important aspects of our history, facts which most of our academics and media omit from your field of attention. Sources are cited throughout this work; if you're skeptical, and you certainly should be skeptical of everything, then read as many of them as you can, too. If your capacity for critical thought and logical deduction meet the reasonable person standard (I recognize that many today do not meet this standard), you will be convinced. This comic book is clearly intended to be a digest, a pointer to sources of information the dis-informed denizens of what we still call "the USA" can learn how we reached the tyrannous point at which we've arrived. But it is also a primer; if you simply read it, you'll have already touched on the essential points you need to know. Then, if you can grasp the factuality of it all, you can start to move on from the false paradigms governing (and dividing) us now. I encourage people to vote, even to run for office, and I work for and donate to the candidates I believe in. But, it's, quite unfortunately, too late in this corrupted environment for electoral politics alone, at the highest levels long since foreclosed by powers that have grown beyond "special interest" status, to have the power to redeem American ideals of republican democracy, or, indeed, any form of self-governance at the individual or state level. We are ruled by covert agencies weaing false faces and serving a centuries-old, highly organized and far-reaching power of global finance capitalism, whose instrument of power over populations is debt enslavement backed by the power of the gun. Saving the American ideals of justice, liberty, and democracy is a task that is almost purely up to us as individuals, as any representatives in government who also sincerely seek to resist the covert forces are disposed of by one means or another, in methods ranging from character assassination to outright murder. Salvaging anything worthwhile from the current, engineered collapse of capitalism as we knew it, and the encroaching enslavement of the people, is going to take a lot of elbow grease, at the least. It will have to be inspired by a quantum leap in awareness for the great majority, who still trust the corrupted institutions which are misleading and entrapping them, with fatal consequences. We will have to change our ways, band together and work hard in ways an Establishment already charging traditional political protest as "terrorism" and simple gathering of young folks in a public park to listen to music as "rioting," does not provide for and may soon seek to forbid. Fortunately, despite the grim picture of reality depicted here, the book also comes with some practical suggestions for steps we, the people, at the grassroots, need to be taking to survive and to provide hope that, one day, a truly free generation can rise in the "USA."
