If you're totally new to real estate and no financial or business background you may find it interesting, but there are other better beginner books on real estate flipping. For all others it's a waste of time.

First of all I read the book and second all its like everything else I have read in the past.

It would be really nice if they actually have video where they run through the process......the step by step format on how to close a deal instead of writing in a book. Videos do help.

Tons of repetition in here but still has some valuable insights into real estate investments. Dean does make it seem way too easy though.

I caught Dean's informercial awhile back and was intriqued. He sure knows how to sell himself and his system. While browsing Barnes & Noble, I picked up a copy. Some of what he says has been covered in other real estate books. Some, is new and some are uniquely Dean's strategies.

Dean suggests that you can make money in real estate in any market and under any economic conditions...if you know how. And I agree. He explains the different market conditions and the best way to buy in each. And he explains some of the caveats as well.

Dean then tells us the exact scripts that he used and still uses in his real estate investing. By the way, I like the fact that this book was written by an actual real estate investor and a successful one at that, none a writer who is just trying to sell books.

I suspect that the one star reviews come from people who are still stuck on the old fixer upper "Nicholson" technique which is akin to "buy and hold" in the stock market. "Sacred Cows" die hard.

Overall a good book for anyone who wants to build wealth in real estate, especially in this economy.

This was a good book at a good price with none of the obligations tied to buying the book from the advertizements on TV.

My situation sounds almost exactly like the Feb 13 post--only Dean's organization produced a form letter to my bank that says that I authorized the purchase of the Foreclosure services when I accepted delivery of my book and the credit card company felt that this supported that I gave my permission to use my number to buy something other than the book. I lost my appeal as well with the credit card company. When I called Dean's customer service line, I was told that they could not talk to me.

The book is not that good and when you realize that they will try to steal from you too well it is just infuriating. I wish I had googled the name and found the Amazon website before I ordered from them. Stay away and tell all your friends. This operation is unethical, and big trouble.

I did not buy this book, but another of the Dean Graziosi's creations titled, "Profit From Real-Estate Right Now! The Proven No Money Down System For Today's Market!" on February 2, 2009 after watching a pretty convincing infomercial. Different product, same author, same story.
The author has a host of products he tries to get you to buy. I cautiously purchased only one to see if it was worth my time. I will never again purchase a product after watching an infomercial without checking reviews or doing a little research first.
As stated in the other postings for his book, "Be A Real Estate Millionaire", the book I purchased is 98% motivational fluff and 2% useless information that fail to give the reader a step by step system to follow as promised by the author.
Today, February 13, 2009, I noticed a charge by this company dated February 12, 2009, for a purchase I did not authorize. I was charged for this author's Foreclosure Alert program. I only ordered one product, the book "Profit From Real-Estate Right Now! The Proven No Money Down System For Today's Market!" I first called my bank and then the company, using the number listed with the charge and received a message stating I have either called during a high volume call time or after business hours and given the option to leave a message with the promise of someone returning my call within 24 hours. I left a message and began searching for information regarding the company thereafter.
Strangely enough, the experience described by C.J. Montgomery, is the foreshadowing I perceive for my case.
After reading the listed reviews, I immediately called my bank a second time taking the necessary steps to assure this company will no longer have access to my funds to repeatedly charge me for products I did not ask for.
BUYER BE WARE!!!!!!!!!!

Like probably many I was intrigued by Dean's TV infomercials which run all the time. So I decided to check this book out from the public library. Mr. Graziosi is first and foremost in the business of selling books and tapes. There are no secret strategies in this book and much of the information is overly simplistic and some of his advice such as using your credit card to buy real estate is down right foolish. The first 149 pages of "Be a Real Estate Millionaire" is dedicated to Dean the cheer leader and Dean the motivator. On page 198 Dean gives a skeleton background on the use of options. Options are a wonderful tool for buying real estate but this book does a poor job of really explaining how to use them.

I have been investing in single family homes for the past 18 years. I learned how to invest in single family homes by attending local real estate exchanges. There are local real estate exchanges in every major city and you can find them in Google through the National Real Estate Investors Association estate. At these meeting you will hear guest speakers and meet like minded people who invest in single family homes. Get to know the people with gray hair, who own more than 10 homes and have been investing in single family homes for the past 40 years. These folks are your mentors.

I would also recommend that you check out John Schaub or Jack Miller. Both have invested in over 1000 single family homes and have been doing it a lot longer than Dean Graziosi and are much wiser.

This book is a good reference for real estate investing. It starts off very slow, but gets to the meat of the book midway.

There are hardly any people who have enough equity to bother with. I wouldn't spend the money at all.

A friend of mine lent me his copy of this book to read. What a waste of time. Im sure he earns a good living by infomercials but I highly doubt in Real Estate (remember, just a few years ago he had an infomercial on how he got/to get rich flipping used cars). The book is short on practicle real estate investment advice but long on boilerplate stuff. I have been investing in real estate for a living for 20 years and have read many, many books on the subject, this one is not good.

If you want to learn about reale estate, forget about the get rich quick stuff. The advice I always give to interested rookie's is to first read a good Real Estae principals book(like the one's you have to study to get a Real estate license) Then I recommend John Schaub's book Building Wealth One House at a Time. Its not a get rich quick book that doesn't work but a get rick slow book that does.

If you have any knowledge in real estate especially if you are a licensed agent, then I would not recommend buying this book. See if you can check it out in your local library, I wish I had. I am just glad that I purchased it on Amazon.com and not from the T.V. infomercial. 95% of the topics in the book I had knowledge of so I was disappointed with Dean's misrepresentation of even licensed real estate agent's can benefit.

This is excellent information-I can't wait to try the ideas in this book.It is very well written.

I bought this book back in October of 2007 right after it came out. I quickly realized like everyone that it is a motivational book. It is severly lacking in the mechanics of how to identify foreclosure opportunities and purchase them at a price that turns a profit.

It is one year later and we are in a full on credit crisis and most of the banks have changed their lending rules making it infinitly riskier, and for those who have not done it before, near impossible to get started investing in foreclosures.

This book was pretty useless a year ago, but now it is totally irrelevant.

This guy is making more money selling the book and his course, and is deluded by his own self-agrandizement. If you want to read some real solid advice, read any of Donald Trump's books. Who hasn't heard of Donald Trump? And who is this Dean Graziozi? What a crock!

I can't believe this guy is still running commercials on TV..... People promoting buying houses with no money down should be sent to an Island..... away from people....

Dean Graziosi seems to be the only legitimate real estate guru out there today. All the others want to sell you their book, or initial information cheaply, then all they want to do is keep up-selling you more and more junk for hundreds or even thousands of dollars, from seminars, to home study programs to weekend-long "boot-camps!" Dean is different. I bought his "Think A Little Different" course off a TV info-mercial last week BEFORE I even bought his book. The book is great to get you started. He even says right in the book that you are welcome to continue your education with his courses, etc..., but he also tells you that the book is all you need to get started! The book steps you through your first real estate transaction and lays the foundation for a successful real estate investing career. I have tried Carleton Sheets and Ron Legrand with no success at all, but Dean Graziosi is the REAL DEAL!
