This is a small book but contains all information about APA formatting. Handy when enrolled in a college program.

This book is very simple to read and understand. It is not overwhelming, unlike other APA books. I really like it because it's easy to follow.

You still need to buy the full version of APA however this was great as a quick reference. I would definitly buy both!

This guide is handy to use as a quick reference for APA formatting. Some basic knowledge of APA formatting is required though; this guide mostly contains examples.

I was a little disappointed in this manual, not so much with the content, but with the "prose" way in which it is organized. One good thing about this book is the large font size, however, which makes it easy to use as a desk reference while you are writing a research paper. But after looking through this book for examples, I still ended up going back to my tried-and-true "Pocket Guide to APA Style" by Robert Perrin - the most user-friendly, easy-to-read abbreviated APA guide I have ever seen.

This little book is concise and accurate and very user-friendly. I was able to easily locate the info I needed to cite my paper. The book is based on 5th edition APA rules, which are the most up to date.

I like this book it was easier to follow, much better than the book my university required us to get!

Needed this for school, was used to writting in the MLA format so APA was foreign to me. This was helpful and made things simpler.

I had a term paper due at the last minute that had to be in APA style, which I have never used before. This little book is a good condensation of the larger APA Reference Manual. It had all the information I needed to get my term paper in the correct format without too much hassle; it was pretty much step-by-step which I needed (not being a PC guru either). My only complaint is that it only had one major example, but it did help immensely.

This book costs only a little more than 10 dollars, but it is a great help to cut down your time formatting your writtings of the Microsoft Word into the APA style. It actually guides you how to format in the APA style step by step and shows you a useful example at the end. Definitely, this book is a must-have, especially for those of you who are not familiar with the Microsoft Word as well as the APA style. Only thing that I wish book authors would include in this excellent book is how to format tables in the APA style.

GREAT RESOURCE! I am a graduate student and not planning to go on to to extensive research, thus decided not to commit hours to studying the giant manual for APA. Instead I bought this book per other's good reviews.

It has been a fantastic resource for APA style, citations, and reference guidelines. Extremely easy to use and nice and small to slip right into your backpack with the other books! The only thing its missing are tabs to make it even quicker to use...so I added my own tabs.

This book only tells you how to cite using APA style, not write. APA style is much more than just referencing. I bought this book hoping for a concise outline of important APA formatting features such as when to use numerals or to write out a number in words, whether bulleted lists are acceptable, etc. Oh well, probably serves me right for trying to avoid the actual APA manual...

Love this book. Only thing I would like to see is more reference citing examples...otherwise perfect for a quick reference. I'm working on my master's and they are sticklers on the APA style and I really hadn't used it since high school!

If you just want to satisfy your curiosity and get a flavor of what the APA is, then this book is for you, but if your are working on a term paper, for example and need a guide to proper citing of your sources then get something more complete. This book for example totally leaves out things like citing of images, charts and numerical data.

This book was a great asset when I was writing my pyshology paper. The sample is clear and very understandable. The book leaves nothing out.

APA: The Easy Way!
This book I purchased along with APA Pocket Handbook. But this book has a different purpose. This is the book to use to set up your computer to write in APA Format (If you use word). This book told me exactly which keys to click, choices to select, buttons to push, the whole nine yards. Then once my computer was set up for APA, I started writing my paper. No matter how many times I stopped and did something else, the minute I opened back up my paper document, the computer shifted in APA format. I didn't have to reset anything. For someone who grew up using a typewriter, this is heaven. So, I suggest purchasing both books. One so you know how to type the paper and one to set up the computer. Makes writing a paper so much easier,especially for someone used to using MLA.

When writting in APA style, there's no substitute for the real thing. Buy the APA Publication Manual, read it, use it, and don't bother spending money on guides or shortcuts. They don't work.

It's a nice reference book, short and to the point but it's still no substitute for the actual book. If you are lazy, then this is for you.

Using this book really clarified common mistakes I was making with the formal APA manual. This item made life much more easier. I was able to type my papers and get great grades without having to pay someone to type them for me and use proper APA formatting. Thanks for creating such a user friendly book.

This is a great little book that gives you the basics of what you need to know to prepare your student paper using APA style. It's slim but includes answers to all the usual questions: punctuation, reference citations etc. And it's totally affordable. An essential tool if you need to use APA. Why didn't my uni profs tell me about this when I was struggling through my Master's degree????

If you are new to writing in APA style, I would recommend buying the APA Manual instead of this guide. The guide is okay for a quick reference if you are familiar with APA style. However, if you haven't used APA style citing in papers, you are probably better off buying the manual.

The APA is required for my classes at the University of Phoenix. The larger, heavier book is not ideal for carrying back and forth to class. This condensed version makes sense.

quick, easy, to the point. i'd never written an APA style paper when i purchased this book, but it was helpful enough to tell me what i needed to know to complete my assignment. i like that it is affordable and isn't full of stuff i didn't need to know to write the paper. it covers the basics, that's about it, but that's usually enough.

Sometimes the easy way is not the best way. I would not recommend it to my students.

A few months ago I started online courses and was introduced to APA formatting which I had no prior understanding of. Instead of relying on information that instructors might provide, I decided to invest in a few books of my own. I purchased APA: The Easy Way! and also the actual APA Manual. APA: The Easy Way! is small, fits just about anywhere, and easily lays out the information needed to complete a paper and a reference list. I would recommend this book over the actual APA Manual. Both my mom and I find this book extremely helpful that we had ordered another one!

If you are new to APA style writing, this is the PERFECT companion.
I've even recommended it to my classmates.

This is a very small book, but it packs a wealth of information.
I use it constantly to site my references for UoPhoenix courses.
It helps the user site basic information needed for APA documents.
Buy the official APA book because you will need it too.
But this book is outstanding for giving step by step instructions for citing the basic info for your assignments.

The APA manual is 485 pgs long, why bother when APA The Easy Way gives you examples of how to do all you need in much less time and space.

This is a great little book that summarizes the most important aspects of APA style. It is concise and easy to follow with just enough examples. I highly recommend you start here before buying the style guide which is more difficult to follow. If you do buy the style guide, get this book to work with and the larger more complicated books as a general reference. There are also many free online resources for APA style and some of them are excellent.

This is a great book for anyone that doesn't know how to use APA format!!!! I used it for my papers and it worked great. It's a step by step booklet that shows you exactly where to go on your computer to set it up for APA. It also has great information for the citation and references. I would recommend this book to anyone that has to write papers in APA format.

This book is great for any struggling college student who cannnot follow the APA publication manual. The manual has the information needed for papers somewhere in the book but it is hard to find and even harder to understand.
APA: The Easy Way has examples and gives you ONLY what you need. It provides the necessary and sufficient rules for APA that would help you write a paper. I think it's a great suppliment for the APA Publication Manual and I'd reccommend it for anyone who doesn't want to spend their night page-hopping through the manual to find out how write and cite a block quote.

Amazon came through when I could not find this book at the local book store. After a two day wait, I got my book just in time to help me write my research paper for English! This book is great if you need help writing college term papers in APA format!

I found this book to be only minimally helpful. If you have to do an in-depth paper or have some unusual questions about the application of the APA format, then bypass this book and go straight to the source. Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, Fifth Edition It will be well worth the additional money to have the complete publication manual.

This book is really helpful especially since it has examples. I suggest it over a large, thick book! It's thin but it has all the information you will need! Worth every penny!

If you have to write an APA format paper, this is a great and easy to use resource
