It would be impossible to get the entirety of the Greek and Hebrew language within the English text because the original languages are so expansive. This however is accurate and lends more insight into the original rendered meaning. It is a joy to have and to really study God's word with.
I am disappointed in the cover material. It was advertised as "leather bound". Indeed is not. That needs to be corrected, and compensation should be applied to those of us who ordered the genuine leather.

This bible that I purchased is great.The large print make it so much easier to read.Quality leather at a good price. Marion

this is a marvelous bible. i purchased it for my husband, to enable him to read for longer periods of time. he loves it. he feels and i do also that this is an excellent study bible. it holds so much information.

I use the Amplified Bible for study purposes and find it to be very helpful. I would not reccommend it for daily Bible reading use because of the way it breaks up the verses, but it is very helpful in understanding the full meaning of the Hebrew and Greek texts.

I am really please to share my experience with you. I recently ordered the Amplified Bible, and formerly I was using the New King James version of the Bible. But let me tell my eyes have been so opened,not to mention my understanding after purchasing this book, I feel as though a new blessing has been afforded to me, and I am so happy with my new purchase. If you desire to learn and to understand what it is that you are reading about then I suggest you purchase this Bible, The Amplified Bible by Zondervan. Further more it makes great for studying along with other study guides of your choosing.This is a great aid to reinforcing what you already know about the Bible.

This is the Bible for deeper study. It extrapolates the meaning of the Greek and Hebrew words; giving all the intended meaning of each phrase. It's not a pick-and-choose what the scripture means but and expansion based on all the nuances of the translated languages. NIV was my "learner" Bible and read it for years but now I read nothing but the AMP.

I was surprised that I could purchase this product for such a low price. It is a very good companion for the King James Bible. The only thing that I didn't like is that the book is so thick that it is hard to thumb through the pages causing the binding to come loose.

The large print is great. Actually, it's more like giant print. I don't need my glasses to read it.
The Amplified Bible is a necessary tool for studying the Word. It gives an excellent translation and precise meaning of the verses. I would not use this as my primary bible because I prefer NLT or NASB, but I must have this Amplified bible on hand for comparing. I bring this bible along for group study as well. The people in my study group like using it too.

if you want not only a very accurate translation of the bible but one that is a pleasure to own and is "built to last" then you are going to be hard pressed to better this version

I bought this bible (actually I got it new on ebay for 40.00..check there first) and I love the translation. I like knowing I'm reading the meanings of the original wording. It's a bit of a challenge to use for memorizing, and I often use an NIV for that. The only thing I don't really like about this bible is the binding. It's bonded leather, but seems on the flimsy/weak side to me, although not so bad that I wouldn't buy it again. It would be great if it came in a quality leather binding...maybe it does, but I haven't seen it. Otherwise maybe a hardback binding would be more practical for carrying around.

The Amplified Bible is a wonderful help with portions of other translations that are vague or confusing. While I prefer the KJV for my primary bible, I read with it on one hand and the Amplified on the other. Highly recommend it to any and all. The product is well bound, a wonderful buy. Orissie
