I like to get a broad range of opinions, because I think it's hard to filter fact from propaganda in any type of weighted issue like this one. So I read the items from the far left, middle, and far right. But this book is terribly written propaganda garbage. It tries desperately to connect things that are most likely not related at all. Things like, "the banker's cousin's wife knew the terrorist in middle school..." and tried to imply that this "banker" was also a terrorist. (That was an example that i made up, but there were others like that that I don't remember b/c I read it two years ago and threw it in the trash).

But if you are a far right loony bin, you'll love it!

I was aware of the problems Europe is having integrating Muslim immigrants and the rapidly changing demographics. But until this book, I did not fully grasp the failure of the US Government to confront the problem of integrating a rapidly growing immigrant Muslim Theocracy into a democratic society. The book was well researched and leaves the reader with a grave concern for the future of our children. The author has made the case that our political leadership is failing the American people. I found Chapter 5, The Top Ten Myths of Islam profound. These myths are not understood by a public who seems more prone to trust the politically correct rhetoric espoused by politicians courting votes. It's a pity this threat is not discussed by those running for office. One can only wonder if our leaders have any knowledge of Islam and its tenants. The author has persuasively articulated that our leadership believes political correctness outweighs Islamic intolerance and the danger it presents to society. Sadly, it will take another catastrophe before we are able to fully unleash our law enforcement and intelligence resources to confront not a war on terror but Islamic extremism.

If you believe the 'official' version of events,if your a racist,hatefilled idiot,this book is for you. Muslims are the newest of America's "boogeymen". I do not reccommend this 'book' for anyone with a functioning brain.

I lived in northern Virginia and everything Paul Sperry says is the truth. This book is a wake up call for all Americans.When the world trade center was attacked Muslems in the nearby falls church area were heard cheering,this is a fact not fiction.Anyone that is so stupid to believe that Mr Sperry is a racist is in my opinion an idiot.I worked in falls church and believe me the infiltration is a terrorist success story. As Americans we need to realize this threat is real.They are very patient and we are not.I will personally make this book available to everyone I know.

This is a must read wake-up call for all Americans.

The book is very well written and reserched. I plan to read it again and use it for study.

Muslims and Islamic organizations have become punching bags for our failing foreign policy, support of Middle East dictators and Iraqi occupation. Mr. Sperry's book is a modern day equivalent of the Elders of Zion and its premise is: Muslims are going to take over America, their leadership and organizations are working to install Islamic law in the US, their places of worship preach hatred and all Muslims working in government agencies are working for the enemy as double agents. If he had written a book about Mexicans or Baptists or Lutherans or Jews with the same theme it would probably not be published by a major book house or available on Amazon.

The book owns its existence to the political correctness that it labels as "suicide" in Chapter 2. In Chapter 4 the hypocrisy becomes worse when Mr. Sperry spin's quotes from the Quran, out of context, while arguing at the same time that people who claim that the Bible has its share of violence are taking it out of context. He sidesteps the central premise of monotheism is Islam and respect for Jesus as a unifying concept with the Judeo-Christian tradition and tries to spin Islam and its holy book in the worse possible light. Efforts at interfaith understanding are labeled as "phoniness" in Chapter 11 and any organization like the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University that does not agree with Mr. Sperry's worldview is suspect for sleeping with the enemy.

The book goes on liberally mixing fact with fiction and quoting anti-islam activists like Steven Emerson to create a portrait of Muslims in America that is far removed from reality. No one is given a right to defend or explain his or her point of view.

What would Mr. Sperry like Americans to do (amongst other things):
1/ Not allow Muslims to run their start or run their own schools, places or worship or charitable organizations as they are all suspect.
2/ Profile all Muslims, ask them amongst other things if they have been to a paramilitary camp and the last time they fired a weapon. If he expects a terrorist to say yes, I have a bridge to sell him in Brooklyn.
3/ Deny government jobs and security clearance to Muslims.
4/ Children should be taught Mr. Sperry's views on Islam and school courses on Muslims and Islam should not reflect on tolerance, monotheism or any of the themes common to Christianity, Judaism and Islam.

The theme of this book exposes harm that the current set of social and political taboos that govern public policy called "political correctness" has done to our political institutions. Bureaucracies are more afraid of violating taboos than of protecting this country. Further, the book centers on the advances Muslin extremists have made by navigating the loopholes these taboos have provided in what should be air tight security systems. Read and at least protect yourself and your family. Knowledge is power.

Sperry argues there is a Muslim cabal that has infiltrated the political, military, and economical machinery of the US.

The problem with his thesis though, is that it is clearly RACIST and BIGOTED.

Paul Sperry, a disengenuous "investigative" journalist who has absolutely no clue about Islam (apparent by the highly charged, catch words he uses, like the chapter in Allah we trust, Allah being God in Arabic) paints all Muslims as traitors.

In that respect he is no different than being guilty of McCartyite witchhunt for seeing a "Communist" takeover of American institutions.

It is clear this author post 9/11 wants to make quick money and leave an indellible mark on society. However the mark he leaves with his conspiracy, anti-Muslim cabal is more revealing of his own prejudices and aspirations than of the millions of American Muslims contributing to the experiment of what is America.

Sperry portrays his work, as reviewed by Beila Rabinowitz, as "an indictment of subversive Muslim leaders representing Saudi Wahhabi interests ... who are planting the seeds of insurrection"; its subtitle could be The Concerned Citizens Guide to Radical Islam in America. He explores how a network of Muslim groups and individuals are exploiting America's religious freedom and ethnic sensitivity in order to undermine America from within. According to the author, "The Muslim establishment plays an elaborate word game ... it is easy to be fooled by such duplicity, so I have provided readers with the intellectual tools to easily identify it." He argues that religiously sanctioned dissimulation (taqiya) enables Muslims to penetrate the U.S. political establishment to further an Islamist agenda. Anticipating accusations of anti-Muslim bias, he hastens to add that he "respects all Muslims as individuals."

Infiltration breaks down the threat to American security into seven broad categories: how Muslims conceal their Islamist agendas to gain acceptance in Washington; the hegemony of politically correct myths about radical Islam; the "silent" terror network that operates as Muslim social and religious organizations; the use of Islamic centers, charities, and mosques for terrorism; penetration of law enforcement by Muslim fifth-columnists; subversion in the military and nuclear research facilities; and corporate infiltration under the guise of religious accommodation in the work place.

Of particular note, in the chapter "The Dark Lair of CAIR," Sperry shows how groups such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations exploit catch phrases such as civil rights to push for the implementation of Shari`a (Islamic law) in American public life and thwart law enforcement efforts to prosecute the war on terror.

Infiltration offers readers a glimpse of the "Wahhabi corridor," along Leesburg Pike that contains the "fastest growing population of Middle Eastern immigrants" in the United States and, according to Sperry, a sleeper cell community. He traced four of the hijackers to the Skyline Towers in northern Virginia (which also houses the offices funding terror) and interviewed a tenant of Pentagon area apartments popular with Saudi diplomats and Muslim immigrants who told him that, "residents ... cheered ... that very day as the Trade Center fell ... The people in these buildings are animals."

I bought Paul Sperry's book Infiltration, because I wanted to be as informed as possible, without media spin. While immensely disturbed by what I read, I was impressed by the amount of research and the credibility of this author. Paul Sperry is a well known investigative journalist, that has written for major publications across the United States.

That experience shows in his writing, which is crisp and fast paced. In addition, he provides the reader with a large bibliography, where readers who wish to, can follow up on his claims.

Infiltration opens with an overview of the entire book, done in bullet point style, which immediately brings the readers interest level up several notches.

Each chapter covers a very specific area of the topic.

What Sperry's message is in a nutshell, is that at the highest levels of the political spectrum, there are people who are working for the very people who want to destroy us, either through ignorance or other agendas. One of the most cogent points he makes in his book, is that the political correctness toward Islam in government is killing us from within.

I promise you won't be wasting your time in reading this superb piece of investigative journalism. It is a must read for all American's who want to understand where the real threats lie.

What a book. No words I can say will do this book the justice it deserves. It's a real eye-opener and every American should read this, better yet, buy a copy for that left-wing Liberal friend of yours that has no idea what they're talking about. The book is truly amazing and full of facts with the documents to back it up.

This book is well researched and presents information that I believe most in the US will find extremely surprising. It points out the patient and long term view of activities directed at serious attack on our country, that we generally are overlooking with our focus on short term results, that most will feel needs our attention. I saw Mr. Sperry on Books TV and ordered his book during his presentation.

I bought this book because the dust jacket promised that it was written by an "investigative journalist" who would "courageously explain" how Muslims are covertly undermining our constitutional government. What I got was slickly packaged racism--how else do you explain this author's diatribes against Spencer Abraham? Abraham (former Republican Senator from Michigan) is a Christian Lebanese-American--and yet the author uses Abraham as an example of one of the "Muslims" who are undermining our government. I could go on and on about the real facts that undercut the author's thesis--but you will either figure out in the first five minutes of reading that this author is racist and hates all Middle-Eastern origin persons equally (he doesn't even know the difference between Baha'i Iranians, Christian Iranians, and other Iranians), or you are probably racist yourself, and hence will unthinkingly swallow this junk. If you are smart, don't make the mistake I made when I bought this book--it's worthless. It's probably also undermining our government's efforts to win the war on terrorism by painting all Middle Easterners as bad and indistinguishable. This book should be nominated for the junk journalism award.

I could not put this book down -- from the introduction to the final chapter. I am a professional journalist, and I can testify that Paul Sperry is an excellent, top-notch investigative journalist. This book is carefully researched without bias, and meticulously footnoted. Paul Sperry's sources are also impeccable. Read this book and open your eyes. You will be shocked and horrified at what you discover -- especially about how our own FBI has been compromised.

"The one thing worse than no intelligence is corrupted intelligence" Sperry is correct here -- and a good example himself. So extremely biased as to destroy value of his judgment totally. The superficial and over simplified generalizations and horridly poor understanding is so one sided as to be worthless for understanding or action about the real threats that do exist. Hate literature and fear sell - like teen horror movies and not much more realistic. The five stars are minus stars. Also labels about "us" and "our interests" hide unAmerican ideals.

Mr. Sperry goes into great detail about the Islamization (is that a word?) of America and the grip Islam is getting on our government.

This book should be enough to scare anyone who truly believes in freedom and democracy. . . the US may be on it's way to becoming a Muslim nation, right behind Europe.

Mr. Sperry made me so mad at the FBI that I could spit. I've known for some time how worthless the agency is (not necessarily individual agents, for there are many good agents), but the evidence of its coverups and bungling just keeps getting stacked higher and higher. The Bureau seems to be more concerned about its image and power than it does actually protecting the American people.

I'm sure Mr. Sperry has gotten the usual ad hominem attacks from the loony left and the Islamofacists, but my hat's off to him for having the courage to tell the truth. Please carefully consider what he has to say.

I would have been laughing at the writer's "analysis" and "conclusions"... .were it not such a dangerous period in world history, and our nation's security. Yes, radical Islam is a theat to America, to you as a Christian or Jew and to ME, even as a Muslim American.

Instead of using this avenune to show racist colors and bigoted slants, the author should have focused on the real insidious threat we face... the INFILTRATION of American politics by Zionist and Israeli agents and supporters being just one example. Or the daughhters of Zionist supporters who "intern" for American politicians, from Bill Clinton to Gary Condit, insidiously influencing and corrupting our nation's politics.... THAT is INTIMATE INFILTRATION of America.

No doubt there are subversive groups in arab culture, but then subversive groups exist in any culture, amongst any race and ethnicity. Whether they be Free Masons, KKK, Black Panthers, MEcha, La Raza, etc. these groups are successful in persuading many good, yet naive, individuals to joining their pervasive and revolutionary causes. Regardless, it is dishonest for anyone to generalize a whole cultured based on a radical few who pretend to be something they are not and represent people they do not. The extremist factions are out there and must be stopped but it is a sham to generalize the whole of a society or culture especially when those subversives are, in reality, despised by those they pretend to represent. Should Arabs hate Americans because the pagan Bush pretends to be a Christian and perpetuates Pike's theory of a Christian vs. Islam holocaust? No. Should Americans hate Arabs because fascist arab elites loyal to US foreign policy pretend to be fundamentalists or moderates representing the general culture and dupe a few naive peoples into joining their terroristic cause? It is important to recognize that the terrorists are not the people in whom the power resides but the political and social elite pushing the world into chaos, hoping to divide so as to conquer and establish a New World Order. Are you scared of a Muslim threat? You can fight that fear by informing yourselves and protecting the Constitution and your Rights or you can fight that fear by demanding security at whatever the expense to liberty and Americanism. Whatever you decide to do, only one decision thwarts the terrorists' attack on our liberty and freedom. Freedom is not slavery!

Is there an Establishment? Oh yes, but it is not limited to Islamic Hardliners.

The Establishment is a group of corporate and banking elites that work with peoples of all ethnicities, races, religions, nationalities, and sexes to bring about a new order of global government. The Wahabists and the Muslim Establishment are only a fraction jointly working with CAIR and other elitist "Civil Rights" orgnizations, like the ACLU and ADL, to fanaticize populations, the very pretext needed for establishing totalitarian rule. Once power is consolidated into the National Government, it can be relinquished to a global organization, like the United Nations.

The Muslim establishment works with the Council on Foreign Relations, as do many other "establishments", to perpetuate Albert Pike's Masonic revolution towards World Governance:

Order out of chaos: The global elite will manufacture and sponsor fanatical political, economic, and religious views to create chaos and hate amongst targeted societies as a pretext to bringing about global governance. No. Read CATO Institute's analysis on US foreign policy called "The Green Peril: Creating the Islamic Fundamentalist Threat" and how our "shadow" government has continually toppled fundamentalist governments and ijtihad, those seeking democracy and free market economics, to install hardline dictatorships or theocratic systems sympathetic to U.S. imperialistic desires. No doubt there are fanatical groups in Islam, but then subversive groups exist in any culture, amongst any race and ethnicity. Whether they be KKK, Black Panthers, La Raza, etc. these groups are successful in persuading many good, yet naive, individuals to joining their pervasive and revolutionary causes. Freedom is not slavery!

This book is a mish-mash of items which are either atypical, or taken out of context, and generalized about all American Muslims. Pure McCarthyism.

This book capitalizes on the fear Americans have of terrorism and replaces logic with innuendo. Sperry makes some good observations about the preparedness of the US federal government or lack there of but pushes the envelope too far when he speaks of matters of religion. The author essentially sets his book up with his assertion that Islam is a religion of hate and violence based on a cursory study. Sperry is a investigative journalist, not a theologian. Just as Americans believe we are misunderstood around the world, Sperry misunderstands Islam by stereotyping a radical ideology (that does in fact exist) as that of the entire religion. You can take anything out of context and make it mean something it was not meant to. I am surprised this book didn't generate more discussion or even outrage. Hopefully readers understand that Sperry uses tabloid tricks and flawed logic to fan the flames of paranoia leading the reader to a simple yet incorrect conclusion. If you read Infiltration please do so with a critical eye.

Muslim terrorists do exist in the United States. Should we ignore them? Or support them? Of course not. America is being attacked by a real enemy. That enemy means business. And it is a good idea for us to defend ourselves. On the other hand, we ought not take action against loyal American citizens, whether Muslim or non-Muslim. We need to separate the sheep from the goats. And I think this otherwise excellent book does not do an adequate job of making that separation.

One of the primary things that makes America great is our people. And a main reason why we have such good people is that we attract them from all over the world. We do not want to be discouraging Muslims from coming here. And we don't want to be encouraging them to emigrate. I think we need to be careful not to needlessly restrict Muslim freedom to travel, wear burqas, eat halal food, or worship. But as this book explains, we still need to defend ourselves from those who are taking advantage of the opportunities a free society has to offer and using them to launch violent attacks on us.

In this book, Sperry shows that the spreading of some "politically correct" untruths about Islam has in fact been funded by Arabs who have anything but America's best interests at heart. And there is an example of a prominent pro-Islamic American professor who has a wealthy Arab benefactor from the Middle East. In addition, a prominent Muslim organization, CAIR, seems to have a number of links to pro-terrorist funds. It isn't clear just where the line between "sheep" and "goat" needs to be drawn, but I think these examples make it clear that it has to be drawn somewhere.

Sperry has some recommendations. I think some may go too far, while others may not go far enough in both addressing the problem of Muslim terrorism while not chasing away loyal American Muslims. Here they are.

1) Schools which teach hatred should enjoy no tax breaks and no government support. I agree.

2) The U.S. should enforce the oath of allegiance. I think this is reasonable as well.

3) Profile Muslim travellers. That's a good idea, but I'm worried about overly restricting freedom of travel.

4) Audit Muslim "charities." Unfortunately, some of this needs to be done, given their track record.

5) Break off official ties with CAIR. I agree.

6) Expose the Saudi embassy.

7) Deny security clearances to Muslim activists. Actually, I think this goes over the "sheep-goat" line. It makes the same people into both.

8) Offer scholarships in Arabic.

9) Fight Muslim activism in public schools. Again, I think this has to be thought about more carefully.

10) Improve counterterrorism organizations. By the way, Sperry mentions that Jewish Arabic-speakers are routinely turned down for counterterrorism jobs. I agree that this is an error.

Sperry points out that communities can refuse to allow Muslim schools or mosques to be built. I think this is a bad idea. These schools and mosques will (and should) be built anyway. What communities need to do is enforce laws against incitement to violence or sedition. In fact, I would look carefully at the material taught in government-funded schools and reported on government-funded radio and television stations. I think there is no need to fund the teaching or reporting of pro-terrorist lies with government money.

All in all, I think there is plenty of very useful material in this book and I recommend it.

Along with the works of Robert Spencer, this is a must read for anyone who wants to learn more about the real agenda of hardcore Muslims and the PC numbminded approach by our politicians and leaders from the departments that are supposed to be protecting us. Mr. Sperry is blunt, but backs up his assertions with either written documents or personal interviews. Even after 9/11 our president, major politicians from both parties and the FBI leadership are more concerned with sensitivity training, promoting the distorted, watered-down version of Islam and not offending groups that heavily lobby and contribute to their campaigns and reelections. And it doesn't look like it is going to stop anytime soon in this country, if you listen to the Islamic correct talking points most politicians are mouthing today. I am not affiliated with any particular political or religious ideology, but this book, as melodramatic as the title sounds, really will have you shaking your head in disbelief. For a greater shocker read the ENTIRE Quran being cognizant of the concept of abrogation and you will realize that many of our politicians have not.

Interesting reading -- more so because I know many of the names and organizations mentioned in the book. However, I am more concerned about the Christian Right who wish to make the Bible the law of the land -- read the Constitution Restoration Act of 2004 (H. R. 3799 and S. 2082), or the Christian Zionists who wish to bring about Armageddon by provoking wars in the Middle East. Muslims are a long ways from having the kind of power these two lobbies have, and their agendas may be far more destructive.

Islamizing America, which Paul Sperry states as the agenda of some Muslims, could mean merely giving a much higher priority to the search for knowledge, social justice, compassion, mercy, racial and religious tolerance, etc. Paul Sperry must be reading something into Islam that the Jews and Christians who have converted to Islam do not. If he belongs to either of these two faiths, he may be surprised to learn that in Islam he is a muslim -- read 3:52 of the Quran where the disciples of Jesus say, "Bear thou witness that we have surrendered ourselves unto God (bianna musliman)." Muslims is merely one who surrenders to God.

Reindl appears to be ignorant of the way Christianity has been persecuted down the centuries, and is persecuted this very day, right now on the African continent, (and even in the U.S. press) and in addition is ignorant of the slaughter and persecution of Spanish Christians during the centuries-long invasion and occupation of Spain which ended only in 1200 C.E.- ditto the same kind of history with Macedonia and today's Yugoslavia: invasions, forced conversions and slaughter, right up to the gates of Vienna, from which they were finally driven in the15th century or so. The savagery and intolerance of islam triggered the Crusades.
And now the terrorist beheadings and the bombings further illustrate the tolerance and peacefulness of this poor persecuted religion, who are so much in need of defense by deluded people like Reindl.

The savagery continues! Reindl is clearly an apologist for Islam and an enthusiatic supporter of what happened on 9/11 and last week in London.

Mr. Sperry's theory is that the Koran is nothing but sickening violence and contains no good lessons for life, yet he stops short of saying we should rid the world of Muslims and their religion. Instead he says we should increase defense spending. How is his proposed sollution to terrorism any remedy for what he says is the problem?

This book is nothing but a bunch of hyped up conspiracy theory about Arabic speaking government employees plotting to disrupt our country's defense while at the same time claiming that the real problem is the religion of Islam itself.

Of course anyone that follows centuries old religious doctrine literally is going to cause some problems. This includes the "extremist Islamists" that interpret the Koran literally because Muslims were historically treated terribly by European Christians and the contempt shows in their religious practices. But the same can be said, to a much lesser extent, for strict constructionists of the Bible that are still waiting for Jesus to return to earth and say "hello" and also refuse to believe in a scientifically undeniable theory of evolution b/c we must all be decendents of the Adam and Eve - that white couple in the middle east that wore fig leaves and talked to god and the devil, (the type of people that are today called the mentally disturbed).

The difference between Christian and Muslim exremists is that Christians have not suffered through historic prejudices from the most powerful civilizations like the Muslims b/c the Christians made up those powerful civilizations and istitutionalized descrimination. It should be expected that there would be radical Islamists, as Mr. Sperry speaks of, that hate Christian Americans. Now that we have taken a taste of their terrible medicine on 9/11 Christian Americans are getting a bit of extremist blood running through their veins.

Just be careful because born-again Christian Americans might just become the world's next extremist party that needs subdued by any and all forces necessary. This hateful, retaliatory practice of eye-for-an-eye war that has been brewing amongst the far-right is starting us down a very slippery slope of "my religion is right and yours is violent and wrong so we're gonna kill all yall." Personally, I don't want a part of Mr. Sperry's anti-Islamic extremism or his trash of a book.
