I "discovered" David Icke while listening to a radio chat show about 9/11 and decided I HAD to get this book, which I did.
WHAT AN EYE OPENER!

I agree with the other reviewers that A LOT of research has gone into this book, but one should also not be blinded by it, because there is STILL a lot of speculation which creeps through after strong arguments based on facts. But even if only ten percent of what is written in this book is true, it would be enough to convince anyone with a functioning brain that the US and British governments are guilty as hell. A monumental lie, indeed.

But since the publication of this book, a number of other books on the topic have also been written, which are arguably better than this one. Two titles come to mind, namely "The New Pearl Harbor: Disturbing Questions About the Bush Administration and 9/11" by David R. Griffin, ASIN/1844370364 and the excellent "Behind the War on Terror: Western Secret Strategy and the Struggle for Iraq" by Nafeez Mosaddeq Ahmed, ASIN/1902636449.

This book is good, make no mistake, but better ones have appeared. If, of course, you are a fan of David Icke, this will be right up your ally, as it is possibly his best book ever.

(Hide Review...)  Makes more sense than the mainstream media

I admit I first started to read Icke's books for the amusement value. I love strange, off the wall, UFO and alien conaspiracy books. But, damn, his books make a lot of sense. Especially this one. His writing has a ring of truth to it that, frankly, the nonsense churned out by the mainstream media sadly lacks. There are facts in this book that the Bush Administration would dearly love us to ignore.

(Hide Review...)  David Icke - far worse than the "Heaven's Gate" guru
Reviewer Permalink
Far from being a harmless and amusing crank, David Icke is obviously one of two kinds of person: either an utterly heartless exploiter of the mentally ill for profit, or insane himself. He has taken demonization of his perceived enemies to a level not seen in our culture for centuries: he insists they are literally non-human and unworthy of basic compassion or mercy, never mind rational analysis.

What message then is his target audience to draw from his work? It seems to be clearly targeted toward the Timothy McVeigh type of profoundly irrational antisocial personality. I think it is only a matter of time before atrocities like McVeigh's are committed in Icke's name. In a truly civil society Icke would be in an insane asylum; unfortunately his work will continue to be promulgated under the aegis of free speech until we all have cause to regret our inaction with the benefit of hindsight.

(Hide Review...)  Take what you read with a grain of salt

I'd recommend that just about everyone check out this book. Why? Because the official version of 9/11 just doesn't quite make sense when you gather all the available facts. In fact it starts to look extremely suspicious. You may think that's a rediculous statement; a paranoid delusion. (And for the record so did I for quite some time until I looked further into it.) But such a major world event deserves to be looked at critically, from multiple perspectives, if we are ever to arrive at even the most remotely accurate understanding of the events. That said, take everything you read and hear (and see on TV) with a grain of salt. That includes what the mainstream media tells you as well as people like David Icke.

I personally found this book to be very thought-provoking and eye-opening in many ways. However that does not mean I am ready to accept everything said in it wholesale, particularly when some of his more bizarre theories are thrown in with little evidence at all other than "so and so said they saw it happen." Check it out and draw your own conclusions. The reptilian stuff that Icke loves getting into is what seems to turn most people off of his books. I for one think that's a pretty normal reaction, but nonetheless this book gathers a truly enormous amount of data about 9/11 that you cannot learn about from traditional sources as is worth reading.

(Hide Review...)  Remember - PROBLEM - REACTION - SOLUTION

Two quotes to ponder, `Sit down before facts like a child, and be prepared to give up every preconceived notion, follow humbly wherever and to whatever abysses Nature leads, or you shall learn nothing.'(Thomas Huxley) & 'Only the wise possess ideas; the greater part of mankind are possessed by them.'(Samuel Taylor Coleridge). - 911 was an inside job. The American People were manipulated (PROBLEM-REACTION-SOLUTION) into the Iraq War. Research chemtrails, government mind control and the New World Order Agenda. Also research the 12 bloodlines that have ruled our entire planet for the last 8,000 years. (Hint) All but two of our US Presidents are connected to these bloodlines. Many people will laugh at David Icke's theories contained within this book, but it is my guess that Mr. Icke may have hit upon some major truths and most people although they say they believe in freedom of thought really only believe in their own theories as being correct and ridicule anyone who thinks outside the box. If you doubt this last statement then look at some of the malicious reviews that attack Mr. Ickes ideas that don't conform to the norm. Much of what David Icke has been saying in his other books 14 years ago are starting to come to pass. Unless a major number of people wake up quickly we are all going to be caught up in a horrendous New World Order where we are nothing more then worker drones with no freedoms, no privacy and no individuality. This was a excellent read, but know this - it will challenge every single piece of data that has been programmed into you. Lastly my own quote: A closed mind gathers no knowledge....CMH

David Icke's exploration of the 9/11 disaster is a real eye-opener, with some remarkable assessments of the 'official' story. The number of curious inconsistencies that are uncovered here, makes for a really thought-provoking read. Why has the Government willfully seized and witheld so many sources that would surely strengthen the case for the official line, unless the reality is that sources are damaging to their claims? This is clearly the product of intensive research and Icke must be applauded for his effort to expose the truth. Still, I can't for the life of me see why the publishers decided to reprint it here in a double-bill with Lewis Carroll's fairy-tale classic (or why he is uncredited on the cover). Chalk and Cheese, if you ask me. That factor aside, Icke has really triumphed over adversity with this magnum opus. Incidentally, he holds back on the notorious shape-shifting lizards in this, which slightly weakens his case in my opinion. More of the Lizards please David!

David Icke blew my mind with his "The Biggest Secret". With "Alice...", Icke supplies more pieces to the intricate puzzle that is 9/11, providing substantial evidence that the story mainstream media attempts to perpetuate is full of holes. Though he covers much of the same information provided in his other tomes, it is crucial to receive that information again and again to emphasize that the world is really not as it seems.

(Hide Review...)  Less disinfo this time from Icke
Reviewer Permalink
You get a lot of good solid verifiable stuff on the neo-cons, 9/11 and the new world order in this book. There is less disinformation in this than anything else Icke has wrote and there is even the disinfo has some truth interwoven into it this time. Regardless I still have a hard time trusting Icke.

Alice in Wonderland is worth reading if you can borrow it from the library but when you consider there are multitudes of better books on 9/11 and exposing the new world order plus the very high price they are asking for this book I wouldn't recomend it buying it.

(Hide Review...)  Look elsewhere for 9-11 truth
Reviewer Permalink
I would just like to say that I am a proponent of 9-11 truth, and I have read many many books on the subject. I first heard of Icke while watching a episode of decoding the past on the history channel. I went to my library and ordered some of his books. I admit that he is very entertaining and funny. He also uses some good research and facts. The problem is that he is also psychotic, and he includes a lot of his bazaar, yet funny accusations in his work. The fact that he claims the entire British royal family are reptilians reminds me of the scene in "Fear in Loathing in Las Veges" when Thompson was on acid in the hotel lobby. There are many real journalist out there who are not as "out there" as Icke if you know what I am saying. To me this is a horrible place to learn of 9-11, since one might draw the conclusion that all 9-11 research is nuts. If I were you I would check out the books 9-11 Synthetic terror, and The New Pearl Harbor. On the other hand if you have already found the truth on 9-11 this is quite funny and entertaining. Icke always gets me to laugh at him. Some actually say that he is a double agent meant to discredit the truth. I haven't seen evidence of that, but he does distract people from the urgency, and legitimacy of our movement.

Is his reserach into secret societies amazing and addictively interesting? Yes. Do his concerns about 9-11 have validity? yes, although others are doing a better Job of bringing forth the evidence that 9-11 was an inside Job.
Does David Icke go off the deep end when he claims shapeshifting Lizards,Satan, people from Mars and holograms are behind it all? Yes.
So, take it with a grain of salt and then check out the 9-11 stuff someplace else. Try "Loose change".
