Dr Moine and Kenneth Lloyd present so much usable information in this book that I am sure the cover will be worn off the book before I have finished referring to it. The exercises truly lead you down a path for developing your own index of sales skills that can transform the way you perceive sales. I highly recommend this book.

I was impressed with this book for about the first 160 pages of it.
Its basic stuff about how to use hypnotic language to establish more rapport with your prospects. Just because it is basic information doesn't mean it isn't useful. The last 100 pages of the book is a long pitch for the authors' script-writing and training services - perhaps this will be of interest to readers in corporate sales management, but I found it to be irrelevant. The chapters on how to use language to increase trust are good. The example conversations are clear too. Around page 160 the book turns to sales scripts. Ostensibly these chapters are to provide us with information about writing sales scripts... but they really just seem to be saying - "please consider hiring our firm to write your script book for you," I would have appreciated more "how to do it yourself" MEAT than all the "its too hard to do it yourself" rhetoric and filler at the end. Donald Moine, a columnist I came across on Morningstar and have since befriended, is a master at the art of language. This truly fantastic book is a must-read for anyone interested in the competitive edge.

Dr. Moine was in grad school with the inventors of NLP and has applied it to sales in ways that seem like magic. If you want to get a REAL education on what NLP can do to establish rapport and close sales, you need to get this book!

Firstly, I wouldn't say its the only book you'll need on sales. I'm not a professional salesperson for a start, only a highly enthusiastic reader of persuasion, therapy and psychology books. So I would imagine there are other practical aspects of sales that are missing here. To give you an idea of my regard however, I was sent this as an ebook by a good friend. Free. I've read it, heard the audio and now ordered a proper copy. Saying that, surely the main thing is to gain rapport, build trust and estabilish a solid working relationship as quickly as is practical? This book gives a solid grounding in using hypnotic language and also in building rapport. All the Erickson patterns are used and explained here, and I found this book drew together concepts that I'd learnt from my various NLP and hypnosis books in a highly applicable manner. Some forms of talking therapy require getting folks to take on board new ideas and consider them at a deeper level. Sensitive and ethical use of these "selling" techniques would be a hugely benificial tool in achieving this goal. I also recommend Joe Vitale's Buying Trances as a great conceptual book to go along with this one. I loved this book! As a national sales trainer I always recomend this book to people. It combines NLP with Hypnosis techniques. The ideas are simple and can be used in any sales situation. All ideas the authors present are easy to do and can be used in the real world of selling. Good sales people already use these techniques and may not even know it! As a professional sales trainer and certified clinical hypnotherapist, I know from fifteen years of experience that hypnosis is a neutral "technology". Like the "Force" of Star Wars fame, the intention of the user determines whether it is used for good or ill.
It has been my experience that the average salesperson is unaware of the majority of persuasion techniques found in this book. Bearing that in mind, this is one of the best book available for understanding the use of Ericksonian conversational hypnosis techniques for improved selling. A final caveat: for those sales professionals who don't believe in their product and that it can provide value and benefit to the client, find another product. For those who would use this information to selfish ends and manipulate potential buyers, find another line of work. A one time sale does not a salesman make. Developing relationships to create satisfied repeat customers for life is the true hallmark of a genuine sales professional. Powerful stuff. For best results, use wisely. I bought several books that cover NLP and sales techniques and this is by far the best. It is very comprehensive and offers so much that can be used quickly in your sales presentations.

This is a wonderful book designed for people who would like to learn how to apply Ericksonian hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming to sales.

But: Has anybody tried to incorporate "hypnotic" language patterns into a consultative selling system?
It only leaves your head scratching. Even for the demonstration phase there just doesn't seem to be a proper place for them, so I guess that, if it works at all, it is in *smaller* transactions, where not much logical structure is needed, and where a great deal of trust is given. I wonder if anybody ever sold anything of higher value with this techniques in a commercial context. Consider that clients coming to a (hypno-) therapist are usually eager to be influenced/healed. They are coming with an open "command module," so to speak. The situation is completely different in a commercial relationship, where savvy customers are, no matter how good the rapport is, always on their guard. Skepticism and rational thinking will definitively kill all of the effects Ericksonian language might have. And now you can begin to imagine how a director or analytical type of customer will treat a salesperson trying to "hypnotize" him with deliberate vagueness or barefaced presuppositions... That's what you will become if you are able to master the methods suggested in the book. Awesome! Need more direct examples and scripts though...maybe they caould come up with a book full of scripts.:)

Although this book teaches you hypnotic sales techniques, you don't necessarily need to be a salesperson to use these techniques. Much of life is "selling" anyway. For instance, you have to sell yourself to the other person that you would make a good friend or a good boyfriend or a good employee, etc. The hypnotic salesperson is really a master communicator. Who would not benefit by being a master communicator? Great communication skills is one of the most important traits of any successful person. If you are lucky enough to come across to this book, definitely read it. These skills will prove very valuable throughout your life.

This is a lexicon of solid, practical persuasion verbiage that you can use in your arsenal to help you get past the prejuidiced biases of prospects. I've implemented several of the techniques the author suggests as well as created a book of my own phrases and terms to use when the need arises. This has helped to shape my very own verbal arsenal. Not that you'll rely on ALL of the techniques offered in this manual rather that they're ready and at hand to use when the time comes up. Enjoy & Good Selling!

If you were to buy just one book on sales, this would be it.From how to build trust and rapport quickly, to creating mesmerizing sales presentations, developing questions to overcome the most obstinate of clients and disarm strong beliefs and opinions. This book tripled my sales in a short time.The hypernesia, ideosensory trance and revivication techiques are so effective and easy to use that they should be illegal. The book also offers a series of exercises on how to personalize the techniques for your own products and services. How to build a sales script book and concludes with strategies to become a sales champion and how to overcome stress.Some people may be turned off by the affirmations...I found that they worked when accompanied with visualization and techniques explained. Learning how to turn negative thoughts into positive actions was especially useful to me and my sales team.

i read a lot of books on pnl,psychology,quantum f, even the so called phychoisms(operation mind fok..).this is if you got it, a book you could read it without being manipulete,brainwhasing,or conditinong to a indoctination,such as pnl,religion,or anything that govern want you to believe is true.
you dont have to pay 3000usdollars on pnl talkings, this is the book on sellings,that use sellings as a cover to show you that you can wake up to reality and see that you only do your reality,not the way THEY talk, that only THEY undertand;this is a good book to begin going out of the matrix....
