This is the first book I have read by this author and I am hooked. I went out and bought two more of her novels and I am already hooked on For Her Pleasure. Colters Woman did not disappoint AT ALL! I love the strong, possessive, yet loving men, the thrilling suspense, and of course, the smoldering, graphic sex. This author's books are definetly going to be keeping me warm this winter!!

The Colter brothers are super hot and the sex is fantastic. They come from a very non-traditional family and want to continue the lifestyle. Holly has turned out to be the right woman for them. The brothers are pleased to find a woman that is comfortable with their arrangement and that is all they want from her. The men are the real attraction in this book. They are hot hot hot. Holly is not particularly intersting and her personality is lacking. I prefer female charcters to be at least a little intelligent and spicy.

Colters' Woman has to be my favorite erotic novel. I fell for all 3 men and would love to find some just like them. After reading this book I had to share it with the other women in my life and I happy to report back they also loved it as well. To me a good erotic novel not only has to have the steamy sex scenes, but also heart to back up the love scenes, which I believe Ms. Banks is able to complish.

Every so often Amazon emails me a list of recommended reads based on previous purchases and one day a recommendation for "Coulter's Woman", arrived. I read the synopsis and a couple of reader reviews and thought `what the heck'. Having never read a Maya Banks' book or a ménage story before I was a little skeptical, however this story gripped me from page one to the last page. IMHO this story is erotic romantic fantasy at it's finest.

Maya Banks' strength as a writer is her ability to develop strong endearing characters that are individually unique. The Coulter brothers are no exception.

Adam, Ethan and Ryan Coulter own a hunting lodge in a remote area of the Colorado Rockies. The setting for this book is breathtakingly beautiful and Maya takes you though a full change of seasons as the story progresses.

Adam is strong minded, stubborn, and tough, essentially the `patriarch' of the family. He is accustomed to being a dominant in his personal and professional life, patience doesn't tend to be his strongest virtue and he is quite stubborn by nature. Ethan is the peacemaker of the three brothers, strong, intelligent and easygoing. Ethan is the one that referee's the arguments and smoothes any ruffled feathers. He is a methodical thinker, which comes into play in any decision he makes. Ryan, the youngest of the three brothers is, I would say the most volatile of the three. A free spirit who is also stubborn and cautious, he has suffered a horrible experience as the result of the war. Ryan is struggling to come to grips with the emotional and physical damage this has caused to his body and spirit. All three brothers have one thing in common they are fiercely protective of their family and love each other unconditionally. They also instinctively know that there is one woman who will fulfill them and be `their woman'.

Adam finds `Holly Bardwell' unconscious and freezing to death in a snow filled ditch at the roadside outside the brother's lodge. From the moment Adam lays eyes on Holly, he feels a special bond to her and senses she is `the one' to complete his family. Holly is a woman on the run, terrified, abused, insecure and half frozen, she awakens in the lodge to find not one but three tall handsome men have taken her in and are willing to nurture and love her.

Ms Banks' spins a story of a relationship between these four people that can only be described as intense, erotic and beautiful. Holly matures and gains confidence in herself as a person, as a woman and in her sexuality under Adam, Ethan and Ryan's careful nurturing. Adam, Ethan, and especially Ryan also grow as individuals. Holly's past comes back to haunt her however, and her men are forced to protect and try to keep her safe as a malevolent threat from her vile abusive previous spouse closes in.

The sex scenes are graphic in this novel, but Maya crafts them in a tasteful way that is fitting with the character's unusual relationship. There is also some violence in the story, but again even those scenes are well managed and woven perfectly into the plot.

"Coulter's Woman", made me laugh, chew my nails and weep, in other words I experienced a full range of emotions while reading this book. What is it that makes it so special? I think it is the classic `knight in shining armor' rescues `damsel in distress' theme. (Except you have three gorgeous knights in shining armor. lol) But more than that it is about four people whose feelings grow into a deep love and lasting commitment to one another.

This book holds a place on my bedside shelf because it is one of the few books I read, again and again and again.

disturbing at first for those not into menage. but it is a good story and a great read.

I wrote a review on this story, not because it was up for review, but because it was my absolute favorite ménage story I have ever read. I thought Ms. Banks did a fabulous job keeping the suspense active, as well as the ménage hot, sexy and descriptive. I enjoyed how Ms. Banks developed the relationship between Holly and the Colter brothers. The sex scenes were beautifully painted, leaving just enough open to kick one's imagination into high gear. Very good read. I would recommend this book to anyone. It is written so very well. It will stay in my eBook Romance folder. Excellent job Ms. Banks, one of my favorite eBook reads ever.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought this was well written and the pace was wonderful from start to finish. It was not overly sexual but well placed and tasteful, it helped me relate to the characters in the book. Good read, I only wish it lasted...

Colters' Woman by Maya Banks is a ménage match made in heaven. I still haven't recovered from its intensity. Adam, Ethan, and Ryan are heroes at their finest and sinfully sexy lovers as well. Fully anticipating and looking forward to a ménage, what I got was so much more. More love, more passion, more story. Each male character is lovable, from Adam's no nonsense approach to Holly's safety, to Ethan's ready laughter, to Ryan's vulnerability. Each brother single handedly made me fall in love and like Holly, there would have been no way I could have picked just one. Holly surprised me at first with her readiness to accept the men in her life but as the story progressed, her character strengthened and I have to say that her bravery was stunning.

Colters' Woman grabbed me from page one and refused to let go until I read the last word. This story of three lonely men and one lonely woman just worked for me. I haven't recovered yet and still am thinking about this marvelous story. Grab the ice water and get a fan, because this baby is HOT!! When a book still affects me hours after reading it, I can't help but joyfully recommend it and I fully recommend Colters' Woman by Maya Banks!

When I ordered Colter's Woman I'm glad i saved it for last. If you're longing for a book with a wonderful plot, great sex to make you wet and burn and a heroine to envy pick this book up, I swear you won't regret this. I only wish maya gave a deeper insight to Holly's and Mason's relationship and gave a good description of Holly's features.

JUST FROM THE BEGINNING WITH THE BOOOOOOOOOOOOOLDNESS OF ADAM, I WAS HOOKED!I bought this book and Brazen by Maya Banks together and while I had my socks,shoes and skin blown off by Brazen, this book completely demolished my bones! My cheeks hurt from how excited I was reading this book. The characters were all interacting and Maya never left us hanging at all, I was hooked from the reviews, but after reading the boldness of Adam's actions after getting Holly inside the cabin----whew! Great book, you must buy!!

I'll have to admit, when I bought this book, I was a bit hesitant, as I had never read menage erotica before. I just wasn't sure if a menage book could offer up the kind of relationship(s) that I look for in any genre. But I'm happy to report that Colters' Woman did just that. The Colter Brothers had plenty of depth, and each one had their own unique personality that brought a lot to the whole story. And Holly, the heroine, seemed to be able to be just what each individual needed. And a happy ending is always nice!
I'm looking forward to reading more from Ms. Banks.

This story has been tagged as interracial but it is not. Unless the brothers are native american and the author forgot to mention it. As for the story, the majority of reviews here have summed it up in a nutshell: Holly is shallow, the brothers are hot, and the sex was steamy!

From what the other reviews show, you'll either really like the book or you won't. I really liked it. At first I wanted a stronger heroine, but Holly feels safe enough to fall apart. That is not necessarily being weak. I thought the book was well written and actually had a plot rather than a few random thoughts to connect the sex (which was very hot). This is my first Maya Banks book and I'll happily buy others. This is a book worth taking a chance on buying. It's on my keeper shelf.

I did not love this book or even like it. I suppose for the genre it's okay, but I need a little more depth in my stories. The premise was not believable at all, or perhaps it could have been, if the author had spent more time developing the characters and storyline. Holly was ditzy and weak and I didn't like her at all. I would avoid this book even if you love erotica. It's not worth the time (or money) you'd spend on it.

I have never ready anything by Maya Banks prior to this book, but am always on the look out for a great erotic read. Since this book came highly recommended to me by a fellow read-aholic, I had to give it a try! This book truly fit the bill for me!!!

I found the love scenes super steamy, the characters fun and entertaining, and it even had a plot that I found engaging. The only weakness I found in this book was the lack on reality in the time it takes a man or woman to fall in love - I mean, who says they love someone they have never met before and proposes within a few short hours of meeting???!!! BUT, since reality doesn't always HAVE to play a part of a really entertaining read, it was remarkably easy to overlook. I guess, when you think about it, part of the reason people love to read so much is that it is truly an escape from reality, so it's all good!

Now a warning, this book is not for the faint of heart - it includes HEAVY erotica (including several threesome encounters with [...] sex) so if this would bother, pass this one up. However, if you are looking for something a little wicked, but with heart, this book is surely for you!!

The storyline of three brothers looking for ONE woman that they will share the rest of their lives with is a little out there....but hey, it made for some great erotic sex and overall the storyline was pretty good and moved along nicely!

Charlene Teglia got me hooked on erotica romance in her book WILD WILD WEST. Those were cowboys and it just wet my appetite for more. So I found Maya Banks, who is another new author for me. Her book, COLTERS' WOMAN, is also about cowboys.

It's a very short read at 272 pages and the best part is that it comes with a warning label.

The only thing I didn't like was the sex scenes needed more description. And before you get to thinking my mind lives in the gutter - which it pretty much does. But in this case, I had trouble visualizing who was doing what where.

This book is not an interracial romance and that man in the middle of the cover is not a black woman. Do not be fooled. Whomever marked this book as an ir romance shame on you!

This was a good quick read. I liked the way the author developed three different personalities for each brother. There was a nice level of contrast. I did think the ending was lack luster. While the romance and relationship was on target, there was this other plot about the female being in trouble. There was an escalation to her being kidnapped, but after that plot sort of fell flat for me. Kind of like it peaked too soon. The flow was so romance heavy at the begning escalating to a life threatening episode toward the midlle/end and the very end was flat.

I THINK THAT IS A GREAT BOOK TO READ FOR WESTERN LOVERS. YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE A LOT OF TIME FOR IT THOUGH BECAUSE IT DOES GET BORING IN THE MIDDLE. Colters woman was a very interesting book! I didn't know quite what to expect when I was getting ready to read it. I didn't know how I'd feel reading about three men and one woman but, I have to say I really enjoyed it. Each of the three men loved the main character deeply and for different reasons. They were able to share her without jealousy and loved and protected her at all cost. Needless to say, the sex scenes were scorching hot but, not everyone would be able to handle this type of book unless you enjoy erotic fiction!! I would definitly recommend this book for those of you that love this genre! My husband even enjoyed the benefits from my having read this book ;) ENJOY!!!

This book was Capital H Hot! Loved it. What more can I say. Three Hot guys in the mountains as protectors of this woman. Call me old fashioned, which I'm really not, but if I had a choice, give me the three hot guys in the mountains.

I would have liked the heroine to be stronger and more independant. Overall, the story line was good and the bedroom scenes were great!

I too bought this book due to a link on Amazon, but I am really sorry I did, and now I am wary of recommendations from this site.

The writing in this book is terrible, the characters are irritating, and the story is poorly done. Most of all, I couldn't like the heroine at all. She seemed so passive and not at all sexy, nor could I see anything that made her more than a convenient person who would go along with what the Colter men wanted.

I did finish the book, hoping for something good at the end, but was disappointed again. Don't waste your money!

The writing, character devlopment and story line are without emotion. The writing is on a high school level. Extremely disappointing. I do not care about the story's characters or the disposition. I quit reading half way through the novel.

This was my first Maya Banks book and first menage book. I loved it! I have since gone back to it and read it 2 more times. The story is compelling and the sex scenes are hot! The author handled the relationship between Holly and her men perfectly! The men are strong, protective and sexy all at the same time. This is a must keep for me!

I truly loved this book. It was well wriiten and I am a person who was dissapointed in Maya Banks' book, Seducing Simon. I read this book first and I expected others to be just as juciy and enjoyable. I'm willing to give her another chance only because of Colter's Woman.

This book had so much potential!!! I ABSOLUTELY loved the story line. I loved the premise of them taking care of her. Wonderful! HOWEVER...to believe that a virgin has wonton sex immediately with 3 guys is a bit far fetched. And their sex scenes....give me a break...again you have this virgin who very shortly into the relationship gets penetrated by all 3. Come on!!!! A little build up would haven been more believable!

The writing in this book is high schoolish. Monotone as if Rainman was telling a story. There is no conveying of feelings or reasoning behind any of the characters. Brother finds girl in snow..she is pretty..his loins throb...and thats by page 7. Girl is wakes in strange bed with strange after running from some someone trying to kill her and her first thought is he is hot..and she tingles?...Seriously?? I am wondering where the publishers or editors were. Writing sex for the sake of sex..it was bad sex too...geesh. Maybe this was a first novel for Mz Banks and the other reviews just hadnt read anything decent prior. This book makes me question any future purchases from this author no matter how much I loved the other book.

This story did not do very much to turn up the heat. Unrealistic, un-life-like characters, a story that is strange (in an un-interesting way) and quite sillly and the whole thing just so completely void of feeling and eroticism.

I bought this thinking it was going to be hot. And it was in a few spots but for the most part I was unimpressed. She's found in the snow and basically right after she wakes up she is told that "she's the one" and she accepts it. Of course she has a secret. She's married to murderer.

All in all there are better out there.

I must not be into this sort of off the wall,silly, "rescue the girl", far out novel type. I couldn't get into it, very unrealistic,elementary and a true waste of money and time.

This book was my first menage book and I could not put it down. Adam, Ryan,
and Ethan are the hottest brothers ever. They want one woman for the three of them and Holly is it. From the first moment they set eyes on her they are convinced that she is the one for them. Holly comes with some baggage and the way they are so protective of her is great. These guys are so hot and the sex burns up the pages. I will be rereading this book for a long time!

I had never read anything by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. Lots of hot scenes but with a storyline. The characters are well developed and likable. If you like hot erotic romance and menage a tois you will love this.

What straight woman would not want three gorgeous men who can do all the cooking and cleaning. The most erotic phrase in the book is something like "we didn't ask you here because we expect you to be our work slave..." Oh, not to mention they're handsome hunks who know their way with a woman. This book hooked me on page one and I finished the whole thing in 1 day. I loved the characters and the sex is SCORCHING!! Who wouldn't want their body worshipped by three gorgeous men?! My only complaint is I wish it would have been a longer read. The book wrapped up so quickly and I wanted more.

I absolutely love erotica. I buy atleast 10 books a month on EBay so I think I've read quite a bit that's out there. This book was a sad disappointment.

The author would explain what was going on in a scene, but there were no descriptions of what the characters were feeling, how they longed or hungered or were thrilled by what was going on. The heroine certainly got to have sex, but as far as it being sexy, I didn't think so.

I guess it was a lot like watching porn. I could see what the people were doing, but I could not experience any of the joy or excitement they were feeling as that wasn't scripted into the book.

This was a fantastic book with emotion and plot line that held you until the very end. One woman and three men, Maya Banks really made it work and sound real.

I like this book, but the first chapter had me going " you perv, she's unconcious and your lusting after her" and then when the unconcious women wakes up she is instantly attracted to the guy who rescued her, which had me saying "you perv, you just woke up and you want to jump his bones." But once I got past that it was all in all a good read. I would definately read this book again. It does have some unrealistic elements in it (hello, 1 woman marrying 3 guys who are all brothers), but I still like it. I wish the author would write another book similiar to this one.

The Colter brothers had a unique upbringing and a different lifestyle, but honor and fidelity are ingrained in them. From the moment they find Holly half frozen in the ditch, the three brothers know she is the one. This is a fantastic and well written love story. The brothers are sensual and sexy, yet honorable protecters. If you enjoy menage with a twist, then Colter's Woman is a not so be missed book. I also have to recommend my fav. romance novel of the year: It's by Tino Georgiou and it's title is The Fates.

I read several of Lisa Marie Rice's books recently and enjoyed them - it was my first dabble into "erotica". I was led to this one, as you are, by links on amazon. If this erotica, then it's a genre not for me. I am not a prude but without going into detail, this is pretty indigestible stuff (read it and you will see what I mean) and I left the main course and dessert as I could not finish the book; I've already sold it on. Maybe some like this sort of thing. I am not criticising those who do but it's definitly not for me. It made Lisa Marie Rice's books, which although they were all pretty much the same story with pretty unrealistic sex scenes, nevertheless seem by comparison like tasteful romantic fiction compared to this and I would not classify them, now, as erotica. Not recommended unless you really need this sort of badly written, puerile, childish and tasteless rubbish in your life.

I think Adam, Ethan, and Ryan are wonderfully sweet and protective of Holly, but the one thing that bothers me is there are more sex scenes with Ryan, than the other two.

Yes, they have a ménage a quatre, but, it's like Holly is hesitant with Adam. If she's gonna get jealous of Lacey, at least act like you really care for Adam.

In Colters' Wife, the epilogue short story, the sex scene is once again with, yep, you got it, RYAN. Ethan gets some, and Adam doesn't get any.

Overall, I love the concept, and that's why I gave it 5 stars.

From the first chapter, all I could think throughout the book is someone under age must have written this ;) It was really, really immature. The dialog was - well, I can't think of a better word than immature. And talk about an undeveloped plot?? This book couldn't even be edited down to a semi-decent short story. If you like this story line - check out "Sarah's Seduction" from Ellora's Cave. It's not your New York Times best seller material, but it is MUCH better written than this waste of paper. Sarah's Seduction is part of a trilogy (Marley's Choice and Heather's Gift are the other two) but the other two aren't as developed as the middle book in my opinion. I've read a few books from this publisher and I must say after reading Ellora's Cave titles for some time, this publisher (Samhain Publishing) really, REALLY falls short by comparison.

its believable that a woman would fantasize about 3 guys but what i found really unrealistic was how quickly she got over her traumatic situation and fell so quickly for the three brothers and vice versa.
you found a unconscious woman on the groung and you are immediately attracted even though she was injured? i think the person should be worried about the injuries rather than keep on thinking about his one-sided attraction with an injured woman.
but besides those factors, it was a nice read.
