The book is excellent, and provides some powerful insight to Pre-foreclosure investing. Alexis is straight forward and to the point on this subject. Alexis is also extremely passionate about what she does, and very motivational. I anticipate reaping great rewards from the techniques she has provided in her book, and I don't plan on "selling my soul" doing so. Thanks Alexis!

This is a great book for people starting in the foreclosure business. It gives the basics and then gives Foreclosures.com's spin on how they do business. I would have liked to see more on how you can use the website to start your business, but I guess that is covered when you join. Good starter book.

This is the real deal. The best book on pre-foreclosure investing out there. And the free bonus offer included inside is huge. I highly recommend this to anyone interesting in buying pre-foreclosures. Whether just one house, or many, this is your first step in the right direction to successful wholesale buying.

This is very much a beginner's book, so if that's you, you might want to consider buying it. Exceptionally important (to me) is the fact that the author takes the time to discuss the psychology of working with pre-foreclosure sellers and the importance of empathy and ethics in putting deals together.
Ms. McGee goes over all of the basics from locating properties to financing alternatives. One thing that's comforting is the fact that the author is an experinced industry insider with years of knowlege and experience in the field. A person like that is sure to have some valuable nuggets to pass on, which she does in an easy to understand style. In the spirit of full disclosure, I should say that I am an attorney, real estate broker, investor, trainer, and author of another unique and highly readable book on real estate investing that can also be found here on Amazon -- The WealthLoop Series Beginner's Guide to Building Wealth Buying Houses: The Foolproof Roadmap to Real Estate Riches Without the Risks and Hassles of Landlording. Unlike many real estate investing books, it is written to be a genuine "How To" book that "takes you by the hand" and walks you through a step-by-step process for getting started in real estate investing -- investors across the country are giving it rave reviews. The book also includes sample leases, forms, and checklists, so that you can actually go out and implement the investing strategy it teaches as soon as you're done reading. You might want to check out the companion CD too -- The WealthLoop Series Beginner's Guide to Building Wealth Buying Houses (Combo Audio/Data CD): Author's Audio Commentary Plus Downloadable 32-page Marketing Manual, Checklists, Spreadsheets, and Forms A related program that's well worth checking out is: The WealthLoop Series Beginner's Guide to Personal Wealth Creation (Combo Audio/Data CD): Audio Seminar With Downloadable 40-Page Action Manual If you're new to pre-forclosure investing, I don't think you'll go wrong buying Ms. McGee's book. It is a good book for novice investors to review their basic knowledge on forclosures.
It looks like this book was written a while back and then briefly updated. Or maybe it is good in the midwest and lower priced housing markets. Here in California almost all of the defaults have higher loan balances than equity. also homes are on the market so long that the length of time to resell might wipe out the $20,000-$30,000 projected profit. A couple years ago I went to her 5-day seminar in Fair Oaks, CA. I paid a ridiculous $7,000 for the event and it was a COMPLETE WASTE of money. She was unfriendly, stingy with her time, and obviously did NOT care if any of us were successful or not. I would never buy her books.

This is one, if not the best, books on foreclosure investing in print today. Alexis McGee does a fantastic job of explaining in great detail the steps involved in acquiring foreclosure properties before they actually are taken back by the lender. Even more importantly, is how she outlines these various steps so that everyone in the transaction wins. Alexis is all about integrity, compassion, and trust in every foreclosure transaction.
If you are even thinking about, or interested in, real estate and foreclosures in particular, then this book is a must read. Alexis McGee carefully and precisely explains everything you need to do, how to do it, when to do it, and why you need to do every single step of the foreclosure process. It really is an outstanding book and essential resource for the foreclosure investor. (Review Data Last Updated: 2007-11-09 15:28:43 EST)

Alexis McGee, of Foreclosures.com, describes how to get into the Pre-foreclosure business. This book is split into two parts, the first part describes an honest and ethical approach to this business which I really liked. Alexis describes how you can actually help the homeowner with an honest approach, and how to get into the business.
In part 2, the larger portion of the book, she starts by describing the different types of loans, and how to get information on foreclosures in your area. Alexis then goes into the different types of foreclosures and laws that pertain to foreclosures. Really important, she describes how to contact the owners, what to say and not say to them. Alexis goes in depth just how to get the information needed to put together offers on a pre-foreclosure. Finally she describes the way to go about closing the deal. This has been a great guide for me, I've also checked out Alexis' web site, [...], which is full of articles and information on this business, including foreclosures listings. The book also comes with a free offer to listen to a Teleconference by Alexis, where I listened to Alexis and got even more information, and listened to others that have been successful using Alexis' methods. This book is an incredible deal, well worth it. Be sure to check out the free Teleconference deal, and Alexis' web site also! (Review Data Last Updated: 2007-10-22 23:01:10 EST)

I've read plenty of books on this subject and this is by far the first one with information that I can use. It tells you what is actually required to do this business and helps you to evauluate if it's the right business for you. The book is filled with great testimonials and examples from people actually succeeding in this business.
I highly recommend this book to anyone considering pre-foreclosure investing. (Review Data Last Updated: 2007-10-08 16:31:35 EST)

This book shows newcomers how to invest in pre-foreclosures in a step by step manner. But what is really unique is that McGee recognizes that this is a human business and the only way you will really profit is by having descent and helpful interactions with those down on their luck (ie in foreclosure.) She states those investors that see the long terms goals know that by helping those in desperate need, will see reward and profit from other deals. A refreshing and profitable perspective. McGee gives investors the how to-- where to find the forelosure properties; the numbers-- what is worth it, and what is not; how to communicate with homeowners-- critical in pre-foreclosures; roadblocks and how to deal with them. This book is outstanding and a must for those investing in pre-forclosure properties.
