My title of this review says it all. I am a self taught user of Office, primarily EXCEL,WORD and Publisher. I bought this book to refine my skills on these and to learn more about PowerPoint and Access. It starts out with basics on what's new, common feature, the speech feature, Customizing; Web intregration; Faxing and email. Then it goes to migrating to Office 2003. This is the first 14 Chapters. The rest of the book is the basics. How to start the Application, how to enter and ecit data. I wanted to learn about Equation Editor. Not in the index of table of contents. Nothing on VBA/Macros. This is the very meat of what I wanted to learn. Before someone askes why I did not look inside, the page does not offer it. Not what I need and you probably won't either if you know Office. This book is one of the best books (on the subject of the office suite) ever!!! It is concise, easy to peruse, well organized, not to rudimentary while not being to complex. It covers the full span of Office suite and gives crisp illustrations.

Haven't really used the manual yet (waiting for my new computer to be set up). However, perusing through it, it appears to be well-written, the instructions seem to be concise and easy to follow. I feel that this manual will be really helpful to me in navigating through the new system.

Microsoft is a pioneer in making it possible for practically everyone to be able to be informed, cultured and organized in a multicultural and complex world by making both the PC and Windows available for a multitude of softwares and especially by developing the Office Suite. The Office Suite is present on most computers, both at home and at work, but most people only know superficially it's capabilities for multitude of tasks. Personally I have been making use of the Office Suite for many years, but have grown increasingly tired of my inaptness in using it's many features. Therefore I have been looking for a handbook, which I could use as a reference in guiding me to increase my capabilities to operate in an efficient and professional manner. This book serves very well that purpose.
