Unexplainable pain, reoccurring or persistent pain, plagues millions of people around the world on a daily basis. In "Seven Minutes to Natural Pain Release: WHEE for Tapping Your Pain Away", author and holistic psychiatrist Daniel J. Benor provides an informed and informative explanation as to how we develop our pain, how our pains serve us in many ways, and how we can choose to let them go or keep them. Dr. Benor is one of the Pioneers in Energy Psychology and highly respected as the developer of WHEE, which is the fastest method of energy healing. This straightforward, easy to read book with a common sense approach will explain to the reader how pain affects a person's life and how to address that pain. A thoughtful, down to earth practical approach to alleviating pain, "Seven Minutes to Natural Pain Release" is very highly recommended, especially for the non-specialist general reading with an interest in the processes and possibilities of self healing their pain through natural, non-invasive means.

Having suffered from Fibromyalgia for over a decade, I've come to realize that contemporary medicine tends to focus specially on symptom relief. Have a headache, take a pill type mentality. Instant gratification. It's wonderful, when it works but when it doesn't this type of thinking really leaves the sufferer with few alternatives.
Alternative medicine tends to focus on the root cause of any health condition. It makes sense, you can take a pill to get rid of your headache but until you actually fix the problem that caused the headache in the first place, you'll find that you'll keep getting headaches. Essentially, find out why you had the headache in the first place, fix that, and the pain will be gone permanently. The therapy set out in Seven Minutes to Natural Pain Release combines two very important processes. First, there is the tapping which serves as a physical way of reminding ourselves to make healthier decisions. This method is commonly used to reduce stress, increase focus, or to quit smoking. In and of itself, it can be a powerful tool for replacing unhealthy habits. Then, there is belief work which focuses on understanding the unconscious beliefs that we hold about a given situation, releasing the unhealthy notion, and replacing the old belief with a healthier option. This is the part of the process that makes the results happen so quickly. So often, it is our negative thinking or our unconscious blockages that hold us back. This concept is easily translated to chronic pain. (Review Data Last Updated: 2008-11-30 02:26:16 EST)

WHEE is an elegant and simple self healing method which is safe, always available to you, is rapidly effective - often eliminating pain within minutes - and addresses the root of the problem while allowing the installation of positive responses to replace the negative issues that have just been released. All this without the use of drugs. Psychiatrist Dr. Daniel Benor takes the reader from the emotions that are manifesting as physical pain to eradication of the pain. A book for professionals as well as for sufferers of pain and caretakers dealing with chronic pain.

Dr. Benor has articulated with superb clarity an original and scholarly guiding light into the world of pain. This is a book of great magnitude for both the neophyte and experienced clinician, not only on how to dialogue and extract the meaning of pain but providing powerful techniques for managing pain and creating health. I highly recommend this jewel of wisdom.

Anyone interested in finding an effective, user-friendly, short-cut method for alleviating pain, not to mention anxiety and other forms of emotional distress, should learn Dr. Benor's Method, Wholistic Hybrid EMDR & EFT, exuberantly acronymed WHEE, and rightly so. This is an abbreviated, ingenious combination of Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing and Emotional Freedom Technique, and it is all spelled out in this wonderful book.

Dr. Daniel Benor, MD is a wholistic psychiatrist who developed WHEE. WHEE stands for Whole Health Easily & Effectively. It incorporates two methods used in psychotherapy: Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Professional psychotherapists will most likely recognize these terms; the lay person can learn about them in this book. WHEE is a method that provides fast relief of both psychological and physical pain. It helps you get to the root of the pain by identifying the emotional issues that helped to create it and to gain an understanding about why we are experiencing it. We tend to create emotional blocks as a way to bury feelings that we think we can't handle. Physical pain often develops in our muscles and joints as a result of this. By identifying the blocks or resistances that are surrounding the pain, you can release it. Letting go helps you to be able to move on from the psychological issues that were binding you to the pain. Dr. Benor observes, "Pain is often a message from our inner self, spoken through the symptoms of our body." WHEE is described as wholistic because it takes into account all of the aspects that complete a person, including mind, body, spirit, emotions and relationships. For some people, some of the issues that are dealt with involve past life experiences and healing relationship issues with people who have passed on. Who can benefit from WHEE? People who are experiencing either physical or emotional pain from health issues such as: fibromyalgia, PTSD, cravings, depression, irritable bowel syndrome and headaches. WHEE is simple and easy to learn. It takes less time than traditional therapy. As a matter of fact, WHEE was developed as a result of time limitations that have been imposed upon psychotherapists with their patients. Today, with so many insurance companies only willing to pay for brief therapy, WHEE is incredibly important. It is also something that people can use to help themselves outside of the therapist's office. As a person with fibromyalgia it is a relief knowing a doctor recognizes that it is a real health issue. It is also wonderful to know that a simple treatment exists that can help me heal from it, without having to resort to medications. I am sure that other readers will also feel this way in regards to whatever health issues they are facing. I really enjoyed reading "Seven Minutes to Natural Pain Release." Dr. Benor writes with such understanding and compassion. He also offers a glossary and in-depth explanations so that a layperson will have no problems understanding any of the subjects offered. I highly recommend this book to those who want to heal themselves from pain without medications and raise themselves to higher spiritual levels, and to the therapists who help them to heal. Although the technique of WHEE is simple, this book takes the reader into a deep, thorough explanation of how to use the method. It is filled with case examples, clear directions and thoughtful quotes. Dan Benor, MD, teaches the reader how to dialogue with the pain, connect with the inner child and ascertain the beliefs that might be impacting the pain. In the true meaning of wholistic healing this method addresses the person who has the illness rather than just treating the illness. I recommend this book highly to all those who are seeking ways to free themselves from pain!

Dr. Dan Benor's "7 Minutes to Natural Pain Release" contains a treasure
chest of clinical and spiritual wisdom rolled up into WHEE, an amazingly simple and effective energy psychology technique to eliminate and transmute physical, emotional, and spiritual pain. Some might exclaim that WHEE is way too simple, that it can't be that easy! Well, I find it impossible to think of anything simpler than the wheel, which has been at the center of civilizationšs progress. Simple is good! And so is WHEE. --Fred Gallo, PhD, founder of Advanced Energy Psychology and Author of Energy Tapping for Trauma: Rapid Relief from Post-Traumatic Stress Using Energy Psychologyand Energy Tapping: How to Rapidly Eliminate Anxiety, Depression, Cravings, and More Using Energy Psychology (Review Data Last Updated: 2008-09-17 01:29:58 EST)
