This book is for all ages. It is designed to see a deeper view of animals, our co-inhabitants. I hope when people read this book and look at the illustrations they will have a more compassionate attitude for all living beings.

Okay... My review isn't going to be so fancy or as articulate as the others! But I find this book Very charming and somewhat warm. My 4 yrs old son enjoys the photos; I myself enjoy reading about the author's adventure into the Wilds. This book is great for people who can open their hearts and minds into the simple world and perspective of animals. The animals seem a lot like us... loving their young's and such but less mundane :) There are some things that surprises me about animals and how we can actually communicate with them. The Author sure is a very compassionate person to have taken so much time and dedication into making this book. This book is a great idea to spread Peace and Love into the hearts of others. .. It sure works on me. Thank you and I can't wait to see what else is there.

I have never read any kids' collection which is so deeply touching, so divinely beautiful and so cute with all the pictures of little animals like squirrels and the new born swans. Their cuteness were all beautiful catpured. Their growth and the unconditional love from their parents cannot be compared to that from us human parents sometimes. Also when I saw the sharing of food among the litte swans, I feel all human beings should learn from these little creatures where we sometimes are occupied by our greed, inconsideration and selfishness.

It is such a bliss to be able to go into the world of our animal world where our co-inhabitants are already leading their noble lives among our human world. They are definitely a perfect example for us to learn. They are in no way inferior to us at all. I feel I am so lucky to be able to have access the book and write this review!

You will definitely gain more and more upon reading it twice or three times or even more. What I found is the more I read it, the more I gain and the more peace and hopeful I become. Therefore it is a must for us all. It also makes a perfect gift for all of our loved ones.

The Noble Wilds shows the deep nature of animals. Through this book, we come to know for instance that the swans have uncondicional love towards their babies, just like humans do.They forget about themselves and sacrifice 24/7 for the sake of their kids until they can live on their own. And that touched me so much!

Not really what I expected. Pretty simplistic commentary accompanying several pictures of "the Wilds". Peaceful and serene, but not really enlightening at all. It looks as if the Supreme Master lives in a beautiful place surrounded by the glory of nature, and I do respect her reverence for life in all forms, and the interrelationship between all of us and the earth. Again though, I did not find this book inspiring in any way, and was rather disappointed by it.

The Noble Wilds touches my heart to see how our feathery animal friends can be so lovely, considerate and protective towards their partner and children; such a humanly behavior. Wow, this is what I can say. Her words are truly precious wisdom. I read over and over again. It opens me up to a new concept of life. The wonderful animals are like us. Why can't we share our world with them as another co-habitant? I strongly suggest to readers.

I am a Professional Speaker and Trainer who LOVES to garden! On the weekend I planted many geraniums. Usually, every fall I take cuttings from the summer geraniums and put them in soil to root for planting in the spring. One of the geraniums I planted had many blossoms on it but it was extraordinary - some blossoms are pink and some are orange. I have never seen this before. Usually a geranium simply displays one colour of blossom. I thought to myself that this phenomenon in my garden was indeed nature being truly miraculous.
At the beginning of one of our distance learning classes, I told the class about the miraculous geranium. I then mentioned to them that we human beings "are also nature". We come from nature and are part of everything magical on this planet. The students agreed. We teach folks how to be business and life coaches. Then I said "If a geranium in nature can produce such a gorgeous miracle then surely we as human beings can also produce such miracles within ourselves." Once again, the students agreed. In fact, one student was quite overwhelmed with joy because I believe that she had almost given up on some of the people in her life. The geranium story gave her hope that the people around her could indeed change their "colours" and be more noble human beings.

When I read Master Ching Hai's book The Noble Wilds, I cried with a deep sense of love surging from my heart. This amazing woman who is a great spiritual teacher, artist and humanitarian is showing us that these precious creatures of the wild, just like the magical geranium, are indeed our best friends. They are to be cherished. Through Her book Master Ching Hai has taught me how to reconnect with the animals in the wild. I talk to the birds in my garden now. I don't even care if the neighbours hear me! Even the delightful little green lizards stop and listen to me thanking them for bringing so much happiness to our garden. I tell them that their babies are safe in our garden because we do our best to not kill any living being in our garden.

The bottom line of this review is that nature is astonishing in its teachings. All we need to do is open our hearts and minds to listen to the flowers, birds and all creatures - to breathe in the love that they so willingly share and then breathe out that love to bring more peace and safety to this planet.

Before purchasing this book I never know I will get to enjoy nature by just going through a book. Those who love nature should get this book to admire the vibrant pictures which are so cleverly taken.

This book is exquisitely designed, with a durable and attractive cover and limp binding, which allows the reader to flip through the pages with ease. Some pictures are aesthetically astounding, some others show very private moments of the wild animals' life. A romantic and peaceful atmosphere exudes from the book. Do not expect a classical scientific description of the wild, but rather a poetic description of the relationship that built up throughout the months between the Supreme Master Ching Hai and the wild co-inhabitants of Amoura, the place where she lives at the moment. I enjoyed learning new information on the noble qualities of wild animals, an aspect that only spiritual teachers are aware of. I highly recommend this book, for its warmth, its love and its incredible spiritual energy.

I find that "The Noble Wilds" is truly a great book to add to anyone's reading collection for both adults and young adults. The illustration is great - as I am going through the pages I feel as if nature is presenting itself right in front of me. It is such a pure beauty and it makes me appreciate even more of what God has created here for us. And every character in the book described by Master Ching Hai is amazing. They are so beautiful and noble in their own beings. So I hope that readers will have more respective view of our co-inhabitants and our Mother earth, and take on positive actions to protect them because if they are protected, we are also protected.

Thsi book is really fantastic! AfterI read this book, I realized that the wild animals like swan, duck, seagull, coots etc. have also the intelligence, feeling, love, sacrifice(for their children), friendship even to human beings and other species.
It shows why humans should respect all the lives on earth who share this precious planet with us.
To be the vegetarian is the first step to love this planet, wild lives and even humanity itself.

This book is full of amazing pictures and stories, which shows how wild animals are compassionate being like human. Reading this book lifts my spirit up and I would recommend it to anyone.

It is a really good and interesting book. If you look at the other beings with love and compassion, you can communicate with them without languages. Then they will return an unconditional love to yourself.

Even the Buddha did not claim "complete enlightenment"....I questioned everything in The Supreme Master Ching Hai's book after reading that statement in her Biography. Pictures of her house, and various rooms did not assist me with my apreciation for nature, animals and my place in the universe. While the love she has for the animals and her home is the best part of the book, I didn't have much of an interest after a few pages. I found the reviews very misleading and wish that I had not purchased The Noble Winds.

The wilds is another kingdom in which there are full of tenderness, of joy, of beauty, of fascinated abilities and of wisdom. Animals are magnificent and intelligent creatures, just like our human. While reading the book, i feel like I became the Supreme Master Ching Hai, seeing what she saw, and feeling what she felt. So much love and respect are flowing into my heart. I realize that animals are really equal beings as mankind. How would it be wonderful if we can open our heart and our mind to learn to understand and appreciate them, like the way we love our own family? If that day comes, our world will become a paradise.

With all due respect, this book does not present a real world view of either animals or the way humans should be relating to them.

Any animal person knows that feeding bread to wildlife, and waterfowl in particular, can be incredibly harmful to them. Bread has no caloric value to animals and can spread disease among bird populations. All animals are created life that have the same value, with none being more "noble" than another. Wildlife show us no gratitude when try to help it and can ask for no mercy should we choose to harm it. In addition the photography in this book is often out of focus and of poor quality.

I also recommend EVERY DAY A MIRACLE HAPPENS or MIRACLES OF THE SAINTS by Rodney Charles or Rodney N Charles. Both Published by 1stWorld Library or 1stWorld Publishing.

Beside the fantastic photos and touching stories, the NQ (Noble Quality) figures of human beings and animals shocked me quite a bit! (Most people only heard of IQ, Intelligent Quality.) It totally changed my view to all the animals and drew me immediately closer to them, a wonderful feeling. A 400 pages high quality book like this is absolutely the best collection, let alone the beauty and love you perceived while reading with heart. Recommended! Six stars!

This book is quite unlike many books in many ways. On initial read, it looks like many books written for children. The pages are filled with pictures and captions littered appropriately. It looks like it would make a great outdoor companion for kids during picnics.

That was until I saw a bird at my backyard during gardening and I started 'talking' to it. I have never done that before. It was a moment of epiphany that the author had successfully imbued a deeper message of treating all animals as our friends. She had delivered a powerful insight using her humor, carefully arranged pictures, thorough research and above all simplicity in story telling.

I highly recommend this book to all children and adults alike.

I think "Life is Love". The Life should also be protected. This is the only way to achieve a peace and happiness on the earth.

Wow, "The Noble Wilds" is an excellent book. The author reveal a totally different aspect that most people do not realize before. The ideas in the book are excellent. The book is so beautiful with various views. Therefore, I vote for this book 5 star. It is really deserved it.

Human beings exhibit their humanitarian side most readily toward their animal companions including dogs and cats. But Master Ching Hai exhibits Her Love and Compassion towards all living beings including wildlife. Drawn from personal experience, the author shows how wildlife serves as mirrors through which we see ourselves. Wildlife has the same human qualities including feelings, emotions, understanding, protective love, and desire to live. Full of beautiful photos, wit and love this book is a must read for anyone interested in wildlife.

I recommend all books by this author, but I prefer the works of Wang Xiaoping, published by 1stWorld much better.
I also love the fact that the publisher, 1stWorld Library (or 1stWolrd Publishing) has made the text slightly larger which is a blessing for my thirty-something eyes. Great job. I have dozens of books by this publisher.

This book celebrates nature and Karl Pilkington loves nature. A match made in heaven. Would have given it six stars if it had mentioned oranges more (annoying, that).

Like many other people, I've watched hundreds of nature shows on TV but I've never come across some of the things presented in this book called "the Noble Wilds."

Inside, Master Ching Hai gives us some wonderful experiences she had with certain animals as they gradually begin to trust her and eventually let her in on some of their "secrets." This was quite fascinating to me because we often think of animals as a "sub-species." She also gives us examples of their love and devotion. On page 271 for example, the swan parents plucked out their own feathers to make a big "carpet" for their children so they wouldn't injure their tender feet. The daddy plucked out so many feathers that he couldn't even fly for a period of time! What a huge sacrifice for a bird! I thought this was a great example that this animal could teach me and I could use in my own life.

My relationship with my two dogs has made me aware that animals and humans share the same emotions. I think the author of this book is trying to show us that not only our pets should be cherished and loved but all of nature because at present, our society seems "out of balance." Most of us, including myself, think too much about money and materials, but forget the relationships with ourselves, families and surroundings as being the most important. After reading this book, I realized that animals can teach me many things and respect nature more than ever before.

Thanks Master Ching Hai for taking the time and patience to make this "nature journal." I would also like to recommend watching the accompanying DVD of the same name. Cheers!

I am so touched by the love between the lady and these nobel wilds. This wonderful book opens a window to the inner world of animals. It gives us deeper understanding toward our co-inhabitants on the earth. Highly recommend to everyone.

The Noble Wilds is an eye opener. Animals are entitled to sincere consideration as co-inhabitants on the earth planet. Recognizing the sentience, inherent value, feelings and equal consideration of nonhuman beings, we should conserve and manage wildlife and animals with loving care and compassion. God has given us animals to 'enjoy' or to look after as co-inhabitants!

Now, when I first picked up this book, i thought, wow....it's heavy. Once a began reading though, a lightness began to come through. I don't quite know how to rate this book, stars...yes. But maybe more like stardust, for as I dealve more deeply into each picture, with the poem like comments, a feel a strange sense that my world is becoming larger. There is some deep connection here, I can't say what, but nature in my world now seems a bit more vibrant, like sprinkled slightly with...stardust.

I saw this book from a friend, and it's really a charming book, like an art gallery, with hundreds of splendid pictures of nature and heartfelt words. It just brings you back to the nature and comforts your soul! A real gift for yourself and your loved ones.

This is really a fantastic book. It's so warming and touching. We are so blessed to have these noble wilds as company. Highly recommended!

The book is truly heart melting. The photos are romantic, which conveys the deep love that the wilds have. The actions are something that we do not get to witness often, and when paired with the beautiful poetry it definitely shows true tenderness. This book would be a great accompaniment along with the planet earth dvd (bbc), it really shows that birds only have unconditional love when rearing their family. One of the sub-themes of the book is to be responsible with our environment because it affects all. A healing and redemptive book that's full of love!

It is so interesting to record the living of the swan family. Especially we learn that the swans have their own names just like we do. So animals just like us. We should love them and take care of them.

Reading Birds and dogs in my life by the same author, i could feel such a very surprising and delicate and unknown joy... Like a deep truth being shared with others, absolute heartwarming; not just about animals but about ourselves, humans, too. Just the cover of this new book gives me the same feeling and i can't wait to open it to renew this awesome emotion !
