This is my second book written by Peter Hore, and again an extremely well written and informative one for my library. I highly recommend all his books. Very good reading and interresting!!!

This book was previously published as a portion of Battleships by Peter Hore in 2005. It obviously was a very popular book as only one new item can be found on this web site and it is about 10 x the price I paid for my copy back two years ago. The publisher without disclosure evidently divided the book into 3 new books "Ironclads, Battleships of World War I and Battleships of World War II. Even if you pay the whole price for each of the 3 separate books NOW you will save money over the NEW price of the original book. BUT if you have the original book from 2005 this copy is superfluous and that is the only reason I gave this book 2 stars out of 5. Amazon is reputable and I am sure they would not deliberately sell this book without informing the reader that the content was originally included elsewhere merely 24 months ago.
However, all 3 books are well worth it if you were not fortunate enough to get your hands on the original. A good light read and beautifully illustrated.
