This book is great for students who will be in full contact with patients. With increase in technology usage this book lets the healthcare provider that patients are human too and they need proper care.

The book is indeed informational and of good quality. It also has remarkable pictures, illustrations, and various resources available. Good book to have on hand even after school.

This book was used for a health assessment course. It is thorough, going through each system and how to systematically assess the patient. It includes information on infants, children, pregnant women and older adults for each system. Many color pictures aid to the assessment.

I have this and the large hardcover textbook. This pocket version is great and fits nicely into my coat pocket when I am in clinic. Although it's not as comprehensive as the big Mosby's, it's definitely handy.

Very well written book...we are not using it per say , but it is a good reference and the small handbook that goes with it is the best to have on you.

I was bought this book and was absolutely disappointed. It is completely useless book for medical students in Europe, I strongly do not recommend this book!

This book has alot of information in it. I kind of wish I did not get the book because my teacher has notes for everything she wants us to know. I've tried reading it but... I believe it would make a good reference book when you need to look something up.

Excellent resourse for health care professionals, there is a big focus on communication which I think is very important in primary care.

This seems to be the common text for most medical training programs. Excellent pictures. Covers most things in Basic concepts without too much detail. Detail is left to other books on each subject.

This is a well organized reference for use in the clinical setting. Both professional nurses and advanced practice nurses will find this a valuable addition to their reference library. Clinical pearls included throughout the text are nice tips for the experienced practicioner.

This book has several chapters that are useful overviews of systems & abnormalities but there are numerous gaping holes in information, which is quite frustrating, and tends to be laking universal organization (bad editors?). Bates is WAY better.
