I found this kit extremely helpful in studying for the MSAT exam. It gave me a very good sense of what content would be on the test, what the question format would be, and how the essay questions would be scored. I found the exam I took to be a bit more difficult/detailed than the questions in this practice exam, but the content covered is essentially the same. This kit does not provide any kind of review of the material on the test, but the sample answers and answer explanations do give hints about what information you need to know. The questions also give a good sense of what material is covered on the exam. I purchased the REA MSAT test prep book in addition to this kit, but found it to be a waste of time. The best strategy for me was to take the ETS practice tests, use the answer explanations and the content covered to make a study topic list, then use subject-specific textbooks to learn the material.
