Readers captivated by Twilight and New Moon will eagerly devour Eclipse, the much anticipated third book in Stephenie Meyer's riveting vampire love saga. As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob--knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. But which is which?

Stephenie Meyer made a great recovery by writing this novel.
In my opinion she saved twilight series just before they crashed and burned. New Moon was absolutely terrible. It was boring and extremely depressing, while Eclipse was much much better. It carried that fire and passion Twilight had, and made you keep wanting more. For those of you who are down about New Moon, please don't give up on the series because of it, Meyer makes up for it in this amazing novel. (Review Data Last Updated: 2008-11-30 12:07:56 EST)

I cannot believe the hype surrounding this series of books. I had high hopes, which were dashed primarily by the fact that SM used the same 10 adjectives repeatedly to describe each of her central characters. I love this genre and am so disappointed. The fourth book was the worst of the bunch. Anyone with recommendations for a suitable replacement for Harry Potter, please let me know!

It seems that the novels get longer and longer to tell a simple story. Most of the action is always in the last few chapters and I feel that the verbosity of the books becomes a bit tiring. Eclipse is the struggle of Bella, Jacob and Edward to save Bella and the ones they love. It is clear where Bella's favors lie and yet I still wish that Jacob could be Bella's one true love. You learn more of werewolves and vampires and what young loves means.

When I say clean, I mean there is no foul language, no alcohol or drug abuse, no societal message as opinion by the author. Just good, clean fun. The paranormal issues are kept fairly downplayed (that's not the word I want). I think what I'm trying to say is these stories are for women (and men if they can put aside their fear of chick books) of all walks of life and all ages. I started reading this book on vacation. I am 55 years old, so I felt a little stupid reading teenage fiction. However, I was hooked solidly from Twilight until the very end of Breaking Dawn and recommend these books for women of ALL ages who enjoy a fun, fast-paced romance with a few vampires and werewolves thrown in. Eclipse was my third favorite book because I was so taken by Edward, I had a hard time reading through the Jacob parts. Ms. Meyers made it clear to me that Edward was Bella's all-time love, so it felt a little boring when the Jacob stories were being told. However, that being said, these stories were STILL better than 99% of the books out there, for teenagers to us old ladies. I loved the wedding and the aftermath. I am one of those who would prefer NOT to read every detail of people's love lives and appreciate the way Ms. Meyers made the wedding night of Edward and Bella breathtakingly sensual without getting too descriptive. I always think that's sexier - just my opinion.
The reason these books are so popular is fairly simple. Give the public what they want and we will come. I hope the other authors are paying attention. That she managed to write four long books without a lapse in writing style or going off subject, keeping it interesting and even addictive shows a great talent. I hope the rest of her books are as good. (Review Data Last Updated: 2008-11-30 02:17:30 EST)

I'm quite late to the 'Twilight' series/saga. When I finally got around to reading 'Twilight', I was so beyond pleased. I love 'Twilight'! And though not quite as good to me, I really like 'New Moon' too. I even loved parts of it. However, 'Eclipse' really sort of blindsided me. What happened to the once-in-a-lifetime, all-encompassing, soulmate type of love that Ms. Meyer clearly created and established between Bella and Edward??
What captured and made me fall inlove with 'Twilight' was both characters' powerfully intense, consuming and untouchable love for one another. Or so I thought it was. I know I didn't imagine or jump to my own conclusions about that. No... that was the type of relationship and love story the author created, loud and clear on the pages. So then how on earth did Bella end up falling in love with Jacob too?? I have nothing against Jacob (well, he was at times a class A jerk, actually!) or love triangles, but only if you see it coming and it makes sense. You know... "if the shoe fits". I mean, in the first 2 books, the way Bella and Edward loved one another...their connection...the way Bella ached everyday when Edward left...her epiphany when he came back...all that Bella thought and felt about Edward...just all of that really. Bella falling inlove with Jacob in 'Eclipse' (or realizing that she already was), just boggles my mind and throws everything way off. As amazing of an author Ms. Meyer is, I am so very disappointed with 'Eclipse'. The pieces of the puzzle in this part of the 'Twilight' saga definitely do NOT fit. I believe that Ms. Meyer didn't intentionally mean to disappoint or throw the fans (well, most fans, it seems anyway) for such a loop. And it is her story/saga to take in any direction she prefers. I will forever be grateful to her for the overwhelming, emotional and beautiful story of 'Twilight'. And as I said, 'New Moon' was very good too. However for me- reading 'Eclipse' (specifically towards the end) was like having a bucket of cold water thrown on me. I was just like, "HUH?!?". 'Eclipse', in my opinion, skews and betrays the true and pure love that Edward and Bella have, and the millions of fans who fell in love with those 2 wonderful, refreshing characters in 'Twilight'. I have to know how it all ends though, so tomorrow I begin reading 'Breaking Dawn'. I am hoping that Ms. Meyer found a way to return to the original essence of Bella and Edward, and to the one-of-a-kind love they share. I am hoping and hoping.... I need to re-read this book. It was mesmerizing and I couldn't put it down, I flew through it. Jasper is my favorite Cullen, and this book really focuses on his story which is so interesting I wish Stephenie Meyer would write a prequel all about Jasper and the southern wars.

First of all I would like to say that I really liked this book. I would almost say that it is my favorite so far. So let me jump into the things I didn't like:
*SPOILERS* The first part of the book bothered me. Why is Edward keeping Bella hostage and why isn't she strong enough to put her foot down? I was really starting to get annoyed with Edward. Hence I started to like Jacob more. I was almost relieved when she ran away to Jacob, or when he came and stole her from school. Edward turned into an untrusting psycho. I was glad to see him finally come around. I don't want to make this too long so other things that bothered me were Bella being stupid and leading Jacob on, and how Jacob gets nothing in the end. Stephenie Meyer abandons him, and it made me really upset. The GOOD things- Getting to know the Cullens. Finding out who they really are and their pasts. I was really really glad to see more of them in this novel. The wolf pack- getting to know their past and their group dynamic/soap opera. Jacob Black - some reviews say he's abusive.. Hello he is a werewolf! They are brutes and he has no intention of abusing Bella in any way, he loves her. So what if he's a bit on the rough side? The last part of the book- finally Bella gets to see the Cullens in action. I loved this. AND of course the whole marriage/waiting to become a vampire/waiting to...you know.../ETC.. Can't wait to jump into the last book. (Review Data Last Updated: 2008-11-27 01:47:18 EST)

It's been a great year for Stephenie Meyer. When "Twilight" first debuted in 2005, teenage girls fervently gobbled up her tale of forbidden love between the klutzy and emotionally inept Bella Swan and the stunningly beautiful and compassionate vampire Edward Cullen. Since then, Meyer's sultry saga has sold over 25 million copies worldwide and a film adaptation of Book 1 premiered November 21st of this year starring Rob Pattison and Kristen Stewart. Released in August of 2007 and selling 150,000 copies within the first 24 hours of hitting the shelves, "Eclipse" was a highly anticipated continuation of Meyer's histrionic yarn of love and mortality.
With most everyone's skeletons out of the closet by the end of Book 2, "Eclipse" (Book 3 of the Twilight Saga) charges full speed ahead into melodrama. Aside from a rather mundane plotline, what drives "Eclipse" ahead is the increased intensity of the love triangle that began in "New Moon". Bella, still selfish and obstinate, is pressing for her promised immortality and Edward stalls for time, pushing college applications and - much to Bella's chagrin - a marriage proposal. Jacob, still a glutton for punishment, is tenacious in his quest to convince Bella that she is in love with him but just doesn't realize it. He goes to great length to prove it while Bella resists him and Edward glowers with mounting jealousy, his natural conflict wiith what Jacob is and the awakening of long-buried human passions treading the thin ice of neutrality between Forks's supernatural residents. While Jacob's and Edward's romantic tug of war with Bella poses the greatest threat, the Cullens have other worries. The flame-haired vampiress Victoria from Book 2 is still hot on Bella's trail and an unexpected visit from the Volturi still looms large, coupled with some distracting news about a rash of sudden unexplained deaths in nearby Seattle. Meyer's style doesn't change and the reader will find she still overuses certain terminology ("grimaced", "he/she rolled his/her eyes", "muttered/murmured/groaned"); one would think that by the third book of this series she'd be touting a good thesaurus (apparently not). Some might also be turned off by her presumptuous comparison of her love story vs. that of Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff in Emily Bronte's classic novel "Wuthering Heights". Ironically, "Twilight" may have stemmed from this novel a bit (though Meyer claims the initial idea for "Twilight" came to her in a dream) and it is obvious from Meyer's direct quotes from "Wuthering Heights" that she is a fan of Bronte's complex and multigenerational tale. Bella's motivations are still mystifying. She wants to spend eternity - you heard it, ETERNITY - with Edward but scoffs at the idea of being married to him. What's the big deal? Her irrational and nonsensical way of thinking grates the nerves to the nth degree. The reader finally gets some background information on other members of the Cullen clan (Jasper and Rosalie in particular) and a surprisingly entertaining story on the legend behind the Quileute people. Judging by this absorbing aside, Meyer ought to take a stab at writing a novel about Native Americans. She has already referenced an actual Quileute legend in this book and could formulate a great supernatural and/or spiritual novel out of the many other legends that the Quileute tribe once believed. Bottom line: Only those finding themselves strangely addicted to Meyer's juvenile saga will be going so far as to pick up "Eclipse" as well as proceeding to Book 4, the final book in the series ("Breaking Dawn"). For a casual and moderately absorbing read that fills the void of time and/or boredom, the Twilight Saga fulfills. It is an indisputable force in the Young Adult genre. I bought this book last night and finished it today. I enjoyed the story. .but man. . this stupid love triangle is frustrating! I can't believe that it went on for so long! Jesus Bella get a grip! Isn't it enough for you that you have Edward who truly adores you to the depth's of his being but then you have to toy with Jacob as well? God! That was annoying! Other than that . .it was a pretty good read.

These vampire and fantasy books, I must say are good by Stephenie Meyers. Kids go from Harry Potter type books into extreme fantasy with now vampires and werewolves, which is very entertaining. Yet, if you really want an incredible fantasy that is close to real life read:
Nevaeh and Natas: A Spiritual Fantasy. This has a different twist of Heaven and Hell, but yet it is a great book for teens to read. Hopefully, a movie will be made as well and a series is coming up for this incredible book that has a seriousness of morals and also fun and humor. (Review Data Last Updated: 2008-11-26 01:29:52 EST)

This was a welcome change for me because I did not enjoy New Moon as much as Twilight. But Edward & Bella return in Eclipse and I enjoyed this part of the story. I read some of the negative reviews and yes, the decision making and portions of the story are unrealistic but that is the point - why are you reading a book about vampires and werewolves and expecting it to be realistic? It's about escapism and fantasy. This is an engaging, easy to read, suspenseful, beautiful story that fits nicely into the saga. I enjoyed and recommend it highly.

Like I said in my review of the first horrible novel in this demonic series, vampire novels are never the stuff of truth, they are, rather, the stuff of nightmares and demons! These "Twilight" novels should go out of print and to a warehouse to collect dust forever! By reading them, people knowingly or unknowingly glorify Satan! These books should be taken off Amazon.com!

I liked how the alliance between the werewolves and vampires came to fruition, but I still find the love triangle between Bella, Edward, and Jacob had to believe! Either way the best part of the book was about the legend of the spirit warriors, maybe Stephenie should take her time and write a quality book about the werewolves and try to be a bit more conscientious of writing strong female characters.

This is probably my least favorite of the four books, but the details in it are definitely necessary for the story as a whole. I'm not quite to the halfway point of book four, and I just love the "story" in this saga. I do not know that I have ever read such long books so quickly, but my attention is caught and rapt and Stephenie never lets it go. I truly am "thirsting" for more.

Eclipse, being the third book in the Twilight series, made me very twitchy. It wasn't the character development, which is not Meyer's strong point. And it wasn't the advancement of the plot, which IS Meyer's strong point.
No, my problem with this novel for young adults is the red flag behavior from both Edward and Jacob, marking them as likely potential abusers. Is Meyer for real with this? What is the deal with Bella? She is such an idiot. Granted, she's a teenager so no one has perhaps sat her down for a talk about how it is necessary to cultivate a sense of self-preservation and personal dignity. No, this girl lets Edward get away with being a masterful control freak who tells her where she can and cannot go and who she can and cannot be friends with. I found it really worrying. Will teenage girls read this and think that this is how "true love" is supposed to be? And what about Jacob and his physical pushiness? It bothered me that he forced himself on Bella in a sexual manner and that she punched him, sure...but then was okay with it, not even appearing to be all that bothered. And what about Charlie's reaction when Bella told him that Jacob forced a kiss on her? "Didja hit him? Well, good. But go, tiger! Woo!" I did not enjoy Meyer's trip into the freaktastic world of controllers and predators where girls get stalked by their boyfriends' sisters and put on "house arrest" so that they won't go see friends who are considered to be off limits. A place where boyfriends will indulge in dangerous driving (Edward being two inches behind Bella's truck's bumper as she left LaPush so that he could show her how upset he was) in order to punish the naughty girlfriend for going to see a friend. Could that be any more wrong? And yet somehow, Meyer presents her plot and characters as if this is an understandable and even commendable way to behave. Very troubling. This is not empowering for girls. Bella is not a character for girls to look up to. She is a weakling and an idiot and she's so besotted with Edward, she ignores things that should have any girl with a brain telling a guy to get the hell out of her life. It really bothered me that Bella keeps parroting the words that Edward is the sweetest and the kindest and the most unselfish and the bestest undead boyfriend a girl could ever have....ugh. We found out in "Twilight" that he's a stalker who's not averse to a little B&E and "New Moon" didn't do much to redeem him. Now we've got Crazy Jealous Boyfriend who has to constantly keep tabs on the little woman. Ugh. SPOILER ALERT I've read "Breaking Dawn" and I know there's a happy ending and that Bella develops a spine and a brain, but still... In both "Eclipse" and "Breaking Dawn," Edward and Jacob emerge primarily as egotistical, arrogant people with a testosterone overload. Girls, please don't these characters are what make a good boyfriend in real life. (Review Data Last Updated: 2008-11-23 01:08:58 EST)

I LOVED Twilight. I found New Moon to be a very, very good sequel. But Eclipse? What happened to the characters?! [Although, I must say, the vampire fights are vivid and *amazing* - reminded me of the writing in Twilight and New Moon, too bad it arrives at the end of a slightly tedious book]
1) the character of Edward barely resembles Edward from Twilight. He's no longer Hot; just a creepy obsessed guy with cold lips. 2)it must really be her scent that has Ed and Jake's shorts in knot all the time, because Bella spends most of the book disheveled, throwing on whatever clothes she rummages around for, and barely taking time to brush her teeth let alone her hair. OK - I realize that comment might sound shallow, but puh-leez, could the heroine at least not be a mess through 90% of the book? Even other characters remark that she looks a mess most of the time. 3) I realize that having Charlie totally clueless is necessary to advance plot lines, but how on earth is a cop as dense and easily fooled as Charlie is? And the man would stand around and starve if Bella didn't stop her own personal crises for five minutes to heat up spaghetti sauce for him. 4) Jacob could have been a sympathetic, appealing character if he wasn't randomly transformed into a cheap romance novel brute. Then he's Nice Jacob again! Then he's a pawing brute! Now he's nice again! Totally inconsistent. 5) The romantic scenes became just blah, blah, blah. Ed has cold lips, his chest is like stone, he's strong, they kiss then he pulls away. The scenes don't have to be sexed up, just not a constant repeat of the same things over and over. 6) The writing. Bella doesn't "sound" like Bella anymore. The same descriptions are repeated over and over and over again. Bella's truck is slow, it's rainy all the time, Ed is cold, Jake is hot, they're both strong, and every single time Bella has a deep thought she bites her lip. The book could have been reduced by half the pages and still been the same story. ON A GOOD NOTE: I liked the side stories of the Cullen family members. I might be alone in this but I really liked the values in the book, particularly about sex. There's always Jackie Collins books for sex. A nice romance with boundaries is refreshing for a change. Also, as mentioned above, the vampire fights are very, very, very well written and suspense to the max. Real page turners and brings back the ultra cool Edward from Twilight. I think Stephenie Meyer captured the difficulty in having friends of opposite genders down to the T. Someone always falls in love-- and when there's another person involved... it makes a positive situation unpleasant.
Eclipse picks up right were the last novel left off-- starting with Jacob being hurt and the back and forth letters between him and Bella-- followed by his aggressive attempts to make more of his friendship with Bella. Now... reading the reviews, I would have thought Jacob was a terrible character that imposed himself on Bella. But that's not the case. He wouldn't have hurt Bella in any way. He loved her and wanted her to be happy (as did every character in the book for some reason). I liked the way Meyer broke Bella's confusion into her separate selves. The one she was with Edward and then the one she was with Jacob. She was forced to choose the better of two good situations. Anyone who has fallen in love while attempting to maintain friendships of the opposite gender should be able to relate to the tension and jealousy .. along with some degree of "choosing." A few points were awesome.. like the heart to heart between Jacob and Edward in the tent while awaiting the "war." -- also, I laughed out loud visualizing the vampire attempting to fight after the werewolf had torn off both of its arms. Seriously.. I wonder if Meyer had intended the visual humor. :-) Also with Jake... I don't know why reviewers made him out to be a villian. He's young. It doesn't excuse being hostile, but he wasn't terrible. He said things as they came to mind and rarely held back. He had a potty-mouth and had found his first love. My only concern when reading for him was that he was going to become one of those guys with way too much baggage... permanently damaged because of Bella's inability to make up her mind and see things as they were soon enough. I also like Meyers parallel with Bella, whose first love was Edward. Sometimes first's work, and sometimes they don't. I do think its rare that someone could find themselves on both sides... being in love for the first time and having someone ELSE fall in love with you for the first time as well. Something should have clicked for this girl.... She let it drag on for way too long. I didn't read this one as fast as the others. The beginning and ending were awesome. The middle left something to be desired.... But I did enjoy learning more about Alice in the middle of the book....... Her character provided relief to Bella's ridiculous decisions... Also, I found Edwards perspective interesting when he admits his fault when leaving Bella and explains that the repercussions (Jacob) would remain because of his error. Not many people would admit to that. I guess that shows the strength of his character. Most people would just blame Bella for being cruel, indecisive, and overly dramatic (like me :-) ..). And also.... (kiddin). (Review Data Last Updated: 2008-11-23 01:08:58 EST)

Stephenie Meyer has captured a whole new audience. It's an affront to say this is "teen material". I've read so many things that are so complex for complexities sake and you really tire of that. This has absolute balance, breathtaking romance - love anyone would love to live (or die for). The characters are so vivid, the movie casting is so right that I hope they will continue to the end - they are Edward and Bella. I haven't read anything fictional (save for Harry Potter) in years - because it was so repetitive and completely predictable. I haven't lost sleep trying to get to the end of a book in years, I have read all four of these in 6 days and COULD NOT put them down. Stephanie has taken us on an unbelievable thrill ride that I hope Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson don't see it as typecasting but stay on for the ride, because Twilight was made for them and they were destined to be Twilight.

I LOVED Twilight. I found New Moon to be a very, very good sequel. But Eclipse? What happened to the characters?!
What isn't over the top is a repeat from the first two books ; Bella's thoughts on Jacob and Edward, it's the same over and over and over. I've seen better story lines from cheap romance novels which use a fill in the blank writing method.

I will be blunt from the get-go, I hate this book. I was a fan of the series before, even though I thought New Moon to be boring, I enjoyed the series and wanted to continue being a fan of Stephenie Meyer. Of course I was as excited as anyone else to read Eclipse, but by the time I finished I found myself looking for others who disliked it as well.
*The following will be quite spoilery. Continue at your own risk.* The book begins naturally where New Moon left off. Edward has returned from a near-suicide and Bella has taken him back after all those months of moping (such harcore moping that some pages in New Moon are mere the titles of months and nothing else). First off, I could not possibly understand why Bella took him back so quickly. Edward left her in a very cold-hearted manner, stole her things because he decided it was better for her to heal without them, and ends up being a completely dramatic idiot who tries to commit suicide. Yet these are the characteristics of true love? I don't buy it. The character of Bella is a complete idiot, and I wish girls all over the country didn't look up to her so blindly. It's clear that in essence all she is is a self-insert Mary Sue. Naturally this book was all about a love triangle. As with the other two, it was never about vampires, it was never a coming of age story, it was never even truly about love. It was about a girl and a guy's obsession for each other, and their horribly disguised lust. But let's suspend disbelief for a moment. Let's say Bella and Edward truly are in love- how on earth was it possible for her to suddenly be deeply in love with another man? This girl has got to be the most selfish creature in the world. I understand that Jacob helped her through the ugly times when Edward dumped her, but why couldn't she renounce him when Edward returned? Better yet, why couldn't she tell Edward to bugger off? Instead we get a load of angst where she stubbornly tells the readers that she is indeed NOT in love with Jacob, no matter how much he insists upon it. We get chapters and chapters of Edward and Jacob behaving like dogs with Bella as their bone. I swear, I thought any minute now one of them is going to urinate on her so as to claim indesputable ownership. Spurred on by this love triangle issue, Edward becomes the most horrible fictional man I've ever known in my life. Abusive would be an understatement. He was creepy, disgusting, and foul. I wanted to kill Edward so many times. Specifically during moments like the time he dismantles Bella's engine so that she can't see Jacob. He does this in a very creepy way too. He knows she won't be able to hear him doing anything, so he sneaks over to her car before she can. Dismantles the engine, sits in the passenger seat KNOWING he's going to startle her, and eventually does exactly that. He scares her, then quietly tells her why he's there, and she returns to her room. Then there's the times Bella had to think quick in order to escape Edward and Alice in order to see Jacob. There's the time Edward buys Alice a new car so that she can keep Bella hostage. I ask you, how can so many girls be in love with this man? The whole time you've got some sort of idea of a plot going on in the background, but it's being drowned by all the annoying angst. At some point the characters figure out that there might be an army being built against them, and then we have this huge build up of a battle that's going to happen. The battle happens, and we see none of it. Instead we get Victoria somewhere farther away trying to kill Bella- though she gets quickly done away with by Edward. Yet another moment where Bella seems like she's entirely useless. She tries to imitate a person from an old werewolf legend, but regardless ends up looking like an idiot when Edward tells her that he and Seth had everything under control the entire time. It's like you could almost hear Edward thinking, "Silly woman, you know you know you're only supposed to sit there and be scared while I act the hero." What's terrifying is that a woman wrote this. What's even more terrifying is that many more women, young and old, eat it up without question. I wouldn't recommend this book to my worst enemy. (Review Data Last Updated: 2008-11-18 03:20:56 EST)

This book continues on the dramatic love, adventure, and interesting story of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. I have two sides or opinions on this book. First I will share the bad side of it. Though I really enjoyed Twilight, the first book inn this series, I have had a hard time catching on to the rest of them. Twilight was very hard for me to put down and kept me turning the pages, but this book seems very bland and I don't feel compelled to read it. By the third book you begin to familiarize yourself so much with the unique story, it just seems normal and natural to have a boyfriend who is a vampire and a best friend that is a werewolf. Though this seems odd to readers not familiar with the series, once you begin to read it, it just seems to be a story of reality. Though it is intense at some times, this book seems a bit downhill.
I do have a lot of positive feedback on this book too. This novel keeps you interested enough to continue reading it, though does not pull you in enough to make you never put it down. I feel it is at its peek when it leaves you with heart-wrenching cliffhangers that make you hungry for more. It seems to have a lot of climaxes and falls, though not a very prevalent and definite one. I like the idea of having several small rises and falls as it adds to the overall value of the novel. As the book goes on, particularly about two thirds the way through the book, it gets very intense and interesting, making it more difficult to put down. This book is definitely one you should read if you begin the Twilight Series, but you must stick with it even when you feel it is getting the slightest bit boring! The rivalry for Bella's affections was so juicy:
First, there was Edward-the vampire, mature (117 years old), romantic, strong (like a rock), super-sensitive to Bella's feelings, and gorgeous (with a capital G). He is also her first-love. She loves him so much, but it may cost her her life. Then, there is sweet (16 year old) Jacob, who is half-human and half-werewolf, adventuresome, and fun-loving. Loving him could be unsafe (Emily), but she could have a human life and babies. But, if she chooses Edward, then she will have no life or babies (Rosalie warned her of this). Bella would also have to give up her family and friends. Now, with Jacob-Bella could have warmth (he has a lot of fur), her family, her human life, her friends, and his family's legends. This is such fun fiction! (Review Data Last Updated: 2008-11-14 01:21:18 EST)

She did it again. This book, like the others, will keep you up at night, waiting for each and every word to enter the world that has been created for you. If you haven't read the entire twilight saga, then go get it. NOW! you won't be disappointed! Don't believe me, read it and find out.

Stephenie Meyers keeps getting better and better with each book. She takes you further into the world of supernatural beings that began in Twilight, and moved into New Moon. She has been able to capture the imagination of the reader and not let it go. To say this book or this series is captivating is a serious understatement. Stephenie has a true gift for words. She speaks about these beings so well that you almost believe that you will see them out on the streets in your hometown.
Bella's story is far from finished in Eclipse and it sets you up nicely for the final "chapter" in her story. (Review Data Last Updated: 2008-11-12 02:27:23 EST)

First of all, I have to say that the literary quality of these novels is very, very low on the totem pole. Also, once again I found myself sludging through huge, boring chunks of this book--however, the "udpates" on the Edward-Bella-Jacob love triangle were certainly a welcome change. Again, I was left wanting to know what is going to happen to the characters--in particular Jacob, who seems by far the most realistic of them all--therefore I will certainly move on to the fourth book. But to be truthful...if you avoid starting this series at all, you're certainly not missing anything.
