**WARNING SPOILER*I absolutely LOVED Broken. I cried my eyes out when Adam died. I really wanted Sadie to end with Adam but then again I wanted her to end up with Joe too. I have to say though that I was really disappointed with the ending because I want some kind of love declaration from Joe since all through out book he is with different woman and we never get to see how he was feeling/thinking about Sadie. Although when he said that all those stories he told and how he image it was Sadie was so sweet. I hope Megan Hart writes a squeal or short about them.

While I REALY liked this book, i would not call it an erotic novel (personally I think that this should be classified as a romance because there is sex but there are also other parts). One of the first things that should be mentions this book is not what it seems. The next thing that should be said is have a box of tissues near because there are quite a few really said parts, and when you're not crying the author dose a wonderful job of creating sex scenes that the reader can actually put them in to. Over all besides the crying parts this book was a great read and an eye opener.

I never thought I would actually cry while reading an erotic novel. This story was so much more than that. Besides having very steamy parts, this book also pulls you in through it's amazing main characters and their lives. I would definitely read this over and over again.

I liked the storytelling perspective, and it was overall written very well and kept my interest. Although, as I reached the end of the book, I felt a bit let down... seemed a bit rushed and ... perhaps, lacking?

I would recommend to another, just for the fact that everyone has different tastes and preferences, so I'm sure someone will like or love this book thru and thru.

Just stating it was great...doesn't really cut it. I cried, I laughed, and yes I got hot. Unlike, a lot of erotica this one had the sex, but it also had the story. The characters were real and flawed and as the reader you couldn't help but like them even when you hated them. I highly recommend this book. It is a thought provoking book that makes you wonder just what kind of wife you would be if you were in Sadie's shoes.

I'm not sure why Megan Hart's books, at least this one and her other two most recent, Tempted and Dirty, are marketed as genre fiction, because they have such emotional depth and complexity. It's true that the sex is very graphic (and hot!), but the sex provides an intimate look at the pysche of the main characters and is not at all gratuitous. As her characters are gradually revealed, you realize these are people living uncommon lives. Sadie's story made my gut wrench, but it was never maudlin or trite.

I've tried reading a couple of Ms. Hart's early historical romance novels, and I can't believe they were even written by the same author. Those WERE trite and formulaic. Her latest books are simply fabulous.

This was a lovely book. It's rare when an author can come up with a truly unusual plot. This was different from genre romances in many wonderful ways. I highly recommend it.

I was very supprised by this book. I did not really expect a whole lot, to tell you the truth. I started it at about 7 in the evening and did not put it down until i finished it at 4 in the morning. I cried, a lot. It might have been the time (4am can be an emotional time apparently) but i was so suprised at how well Megan Hart was able to portray emotion. This is really one of the most touching and real stories i have read. I would have loved the book even without the graphic scenes. There was a real depth to the main charactor. I was totaly bowled over by this unexpected new favorite.

Just incase you are still reading this; The story starts out, interestingly enough, with a bedroom scene. Only as that scene ends do you find out that it is a retelling. The main charactor, Sadie, is a psychologist with a quadrapalegic husband who has struck up an unlikely and strange relationship with a man named Joe. You only know Joe through his stories of illicit affairs, one night stands, and hot encounters which he eloquently relays to our main charactor. These two people meet once a month. The rest of the time is filled in with Sadie's life as the wife, lover, and care giver for her quadrapalegic husband.

There were several conversations that took place in this book that i was able to relate to: Sadie's converstation whith her mother about how she (Sadie) needs to talk to her sister and help take care of her because Sadie is not the daughter she needed to worry about but the sister needed looking after. Sadie's converstaion with her sister where she explains her life and all of its unpleasantries and her sister finaly gets an idea of what Sadie has had to go through with her injured husband. The heart wrenching arguments with her husband that leave Sadie broken. (well titled book, by the way)

The greatest thing about this book was it was not about sex. It was about a woman who had a real life, who had real temptations, and who had real feelings. I like finishing reading something and feeling good about my life not wishing I had that charactors "happily ever after" life. This is not a "happily ever after" book. But it is one that is worth reading.

I couldn't put this book down. I think I read it in 2 days!! I loved that it had a great story line, plus the erotic part of it. It even makes you cry. I have let so many people read it and everyone of them have loved it. I've read the other 2 books in the series 2 and loved them as much.

There aren't enough stars to give this book.

Very wellt done!

An extremely well written, unusual, hot book. It had more of a mainstream quality than many romances in that it didn't follow the usual romance novel formula. I do like the usual formula and at times wished this book did follow it because sometimes the realism detracted from the fantasy. But, that said, I was riveted throughout. I thought the sex (and there's plenty of it to satisfy readers of hot romance like me) was very well done and varied. And the story was touching. I know that's cliche, but this one really was. It was very, very believable. Thank you, Megan Hart, for writing this wonderful book!

A moving story that took me on an emotional ride with the heroine. It explores the question of what cheating is exactly. If you don't have sex with another man, but regularly talk about it with him, is that cheating on your husband?

It also explores how a woman might handle an unexpected disability in her husband. How would it affect one's sex life? Many marriages might fall apart. This heroine definitely garnered my respect.

The romance was interesting and there were many varied sex scenes, almost all m/f. I love a happily ever after ending, but even though this one was a hopeful ending rather than a happy one, I believed the heroine would get together with the guy I hoped she'd wind up with, and therefore, I was satisfied.

VERY well written and enjoyable, with a beautiful cover. This was my first Megan Hart book and won't be my last!

Megan Hart is a rare talent among the currently popular authors of erotic romance. Her narrative skills are awesome. Her character development causes you to really care about each of the main characters. The sex scenes are varied and well-crafted--but they have a purpose beyond titillation and arousal for the reader. The erotic stories related by her once-per-month lunch companion, Joe, highlight the tragic loss of her physically passionate relationship with her husband, now lost to his parapalegia.
This is a great movie just waiting to be made by some discerning filmmaker.

I must confess, I bought this book for the erotica. Instead I was captivated by the plot. The characters are well thought out. The story is at once warm, funny, sad, tantalizing, and thought provoking. Sadie and Adam were the dream couple whose life was made impossible by a terrible accident. Sadie's friendship with Joe was intimate and distant at the same time. Together, the two relationships can teach us all a little about true love and true life.

(Hide Review...)  HOT, this is my first ever erotic romance novel and I really enjoyed it!
Reviewer Permalink
OK, so I don't normally read erotic romance. I usually read nonfiction and literary fiction - you know, the snootier stuff. But I have been wanting to unwind and have a fun time lately so when I read the positive reviews here I thought I'd give this book a try, just for fun.

Well, it WAS fun! There were spicy, explicit stories every chapter, and in between there was an interesting storyline that was romantic, complex, and interesting. The only thing that made me dock it a star is that the ending, to me, was formulaic and easy - I was disappointed that it didn't feel "right" somehow.

But the enjoyment factor was a 5-star plus. I read the entire book in one sitting, though it was nearly 300 pages, and I enjoyed every bit. So much so that as soon as I was done I logged onto Amazon and bought another of Hart's books.

So if you are new to erotic fiction, as I was, but are ready to give it a try, I'd highly recommend this book. It isn't the most amazing literature ever but the author clearly has a lot of talent for what she does, and this book was not only a pleasure to read, but a stellar introduction to the genre.

This novel grabs your attention right from the beginning. For those that think books like this are pornos, they have no real sense of what is pornography and what is an appreciation of sexuality in its most descriptive form. During the sex scenes the author goes into great detail and puts you in the first row to take everything in as if it was happening right in front of your eyes. I felt as if I could put myself in place of Joe many times throughout the storyline and experience whatever the character was experiencing at that moment. The book is about half sex scenes and the rest of it is a normal storyline that helps to build up the importance of the sex scenes. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and would recommend it to anyone who realizes their heightened sexuality and is not afraid to enjoy it.

I don't normally do these review things, but this book is just so FANTASTIC that I had to. I have reread this book a couple times already. I laughed, I cried, I could NOT put it down. I couldn't believe how attached I became to the characters. In today's day and age of throw away marriages...it was exceedingly refreshing to see how Sadie stayed with her man despite how hard it was. It was great to see how she suffered & it was great to see how she yearned for what she couldn't have. But I ESPECIALLY loved how the end worked out fine. Wish it wasn't so left up to me to infer the final ending, but hey, at least that way I got a happy ending. I closed this book & wished for more. I have to say I'm terrified to pick up Dirty or now Tempted in fear that they won't be as good as this book was. Three cheers for Ms. Hart, I would love to have your talent! Thank you!
