okay, before i start on the review of this book, i'd like to first comment on the distribution of stars given to this book. at this time, it is 25 with 5 stars and 9 with 1 star. this says something about us, now, as well as our perceptions of what the authors suggest occurred in the last 70 years. strengths: well documented, extremely readable, tragically revealing data. weaknesses: authors lapse into occasionally strong language, the analysis provided by the authors is limited to events occurring in the last 70 ish years, yet, there's a whole history of prejudice, enslavement and other atrocities that have consistently occurred since, at least, roman times. what is the basis of this prejudice and what behavior contributes to or inflames that prejucicial behavior and what can be done to effectively eliminate such prejudices? while this book is an excellent summary of the history of (primarily american) political and economic prejudicial behaviors, a part of me wishes that it also might have incorporated some of the psychosocial modifiers that quell such behavior. in that regard, it is incomplete. the final limitation that i found was that so many of the footnotes about which i had great curiosity, the authors cited the source as "anonymous interview". i struggle with our publishing literature for which so much of the information is, understandably so, unverifiable. overall, i think that all readers will find this book to be an excellent, revealing, page-turning addition to their library. based on the extreme views of previous reviewers, my guess is that most people will really like it, but a few will really dislike it.

After having read Loftus's and Aarons's book, I realized its major flaw -- the title of their book: "The Secret War Against The Jews." To be fair and objective toward the proper analysis of modern history, the title of their book should have been: "The Secret War Against The Zionists!"

The authors seem to imply throughtout their book that ALL Jews are Zionists and that ALL Zionists are Jews (not true); and that ALL Jews believe they need a homeland (Israel) where they can be FREE to be Jews, as if the United States and the Statue Of Liberty never existed! (It's easy to prove that more Jews died of anti-semitism in Israel, in the last 60 years, than in the whole 250 year history of the United States! To imply that the U.S. is not safe for Jews (to be Jews) is, in and of itself, un-patriotic and anti-American!)

Before 1930, the Zionist's greatest enemies were not the anti-semites, but the vast multitude of world Jewry itself! Most Jews (who were essentially non-Zionists) were content to live in the nations of their birth. Those who were forced to migrate, because of anti-semitic pogroms (e.g., Russia and Eastern Europe), preferred to migrate to Western Europe and the United States, not Palestine!
