Whether these are your favorites from the web site or not, you need multiple copies of this book: one for home, one for your desk at work, etc. Coffee + this book = I can make it through my work day!

The book makes an awesome discussion piece, esp. over drinks. However the newer content on the website is a lot better than the print outs on the softcover. Most in the book are the original LOLcats. Good stuff though, if you have a pretty penny to spare, go for it.

If you're a lolcat fan, stick to the website, don't buy the book!

I am very disappointed with the book--mainly the choice of cartoons which were selected. I found most of them to be the "so-so" cartoons, none of which make me LOL. Also, most of them are cropped from the original or are shrunken down too small.

If you weren't familiar with lolcats before looking at this book, you'd wonder what the gimmick is. The cartoons in the book just aren't funny. Of the thousands of cartoons on the website, THESE are the ones they selected?

I bought this book to leave out on the table in my living room for friends to look at, but I don't plan to any more since it is such a poor representation of the humor of lolcats. In fact, if I find time, I plan to sell it on ebay--I don't want anything to do with the second rate cartoons included in the book. The website, though not portable unless you have a super-phone, offers much better entertainment, for FREE!

I'm a huge fan of I Can Has Cheezburger. When I saw that they put out a coffee table book. The price was right at $10. I was very impressed with the quality. The book is smaller than I thought but the content makes up for it. The book's content contains some old lolcats favorites and some new ones. It also includes explanation pages on what some of the lolcats speech means, e.g. "I has a bukkit." If you're a fan of lolcats and I Can Has Cheezburger, this book is for you. If you have no idea what those are, you'll still enjoy some pictures of silly cats with outrageous captions.

As an LOLCat lover, I am excited to collect all things Cheezburger. This is really cute, with new pictures not on the website. A nice little book, good for a gift for anyone who likes cats or funny stuff.

I had high hopes for the official I can has cheezburger book. I've followed the site since they first started and I love my lolcats. Unfortunately the ones the chose for the book are sub-par compared to the usual fare on the website. If you want to support [.....], buy the book, if you want entertaining lolcats, read the site.

Obviously only warranting five stars to people who actually like this sort of thing, but if you're a fan of lolcats or internet memes in general, this is for you. Made by the great folks over at icanhascheezburger.com, this book is full of some of the best and most unique lolcats around. Every once and a while there will be a sort of tutorial page that explains the mythos behind a certain type of lolcat, such as the infamous monorail cat. And you can't argue with a price like that. Put this on your coffee table and watch as even your fabled Wii goes unused in favor of some lolcat hilarity.

Some of the LOL cat pictures were laugh out loud funny, but they chose a lot of duds, I've seen far funnier ones on the website, I'm not sure what the selection process was but I think they could have put funnier captions on several of the pictures.

This is a great little book. I have been quite a fan of the website and jumped on the oportunity to buy it. Lots of funny pics. Highly recommended!

I go to their website everyday so it only seemed natural I'd get a get a hard copy. Might not be necessary to like cats but it helps make things funnier. A bargain price for a funny book and makes a perfect inexpensive gift for anybody with a cat.

It's very cute, like the web site. They added some explainations of the quirky aspects, which I thought was a good idea. However, there are a lot of pics that I would consider "classics" that were not included. Well, humor is relative.

Although the book didn't have the best LOLcats, it is entertaining. Since it's affordable, I think it makes a great gift or just a coffee table book.

The book is quite small size, like 15x15 cm. I thought it should be larger size, so I was a bit disappointed. Anyway, the content is real fun. Don't view it back-to-back, just open it at a random place each time and it will last longer.

I've been a fan of LOLcats for a while now - I even got my husband hooked on them without too much effort. I was excited to see a book of LOLcats come out. But I'm strangely disappointed in the book. I've literally laughed till I cried when perusing the website, but this book got only a couple of weak chuckles. I wish I could pinpoint what the problem was. I only know there was something wrong with the selection and/or the presentation. One problem both my husband and I identified was that while there were a page or two each of such classic formats as the "invisible" series, ceiling cat, and the monorail cats, there should have been a lot more of each. The effect of these seems to be cumulative in a lot of ways. Plus, where was the original monorail cat to put it in perspective?? In fact, where were a lot of the classics? What about the LOL*s (LOLs with other animals) that the site features from time to time? Some of those have been among the funniest ever, for me. (The bukkit series, anyone? Snail monorail crash, etc.)

There is some merit to the book as a conversation piece, but subscribing to the website is tons better, all in all.

I read the reviews before buying the book. I got it tonight, and it was read in about 30 minutes. I did not LOLz at all. I thought the pictures seemed to be cut off and the captions lacked lols.

I recommend just hitting the web site and printing your favorites. I loved the idea of a book, but it just didn't do it for me like the web site does. I browse the latest lolcats every day and I always laugh so hard I spit coffee.

I love the glossy thick pages, should have added scratch-and-sniff cheezburgers.

Funny, but not half as funny as some of the lolcats on the website. There are a few brand new lolcats in here that just aren't that funny. A few made me chuckle, but it was lacking the bizzareness that is often present on the website. I WANTED this to be hilarious, but alas, it is simply "OK".

Four stars for the ridiculously cute Professor Happy Cat illustrations, though!

This book could have used a tad bit more kitten-osity, and a few of the early pictures from the website could have been included to give newcomers a thorough introduction. Still, there is so much fun and oddness in the pictures that all but the hardest of hearts will be boggled with glee. Cats stepping on lamps, cats hiding in your shoe, cats getting into every wacked-out situation that makes them such fun in real life-- for the new fans and those who check the website every day, there will be laughs aplenty. And the price is pretty good. This book will turn you into a cat. Yes, it will. And you will love it.

Ok everybody.. If you frequent the website and are pretty familiar with LOLCats in general, you will know what im talking about here. This book had some SERIOUS potential and I waited weeks for its release, but it isnt NEARLY as good as it could have been.. NONE OF THE CLASSICS ARE IN HERE!?!? Where is "Invisible Bike" and Invisible Sandwich"?? or how about "Oh Hai I Upgraded Ur RAM"? There are countless LOLCat pics that SHOULD have made an appearance here but they FAILED. It seems almost like they made all these themselves.. leaving the cleverness and randomness of the phenomena completely out of the book.. Then I saw the back of the book and realized they needed copyright protection and permission from the original makers to print them in this book and profit from it.. Now you have your answer as to why all the CLASSICS are missing.. They probably couldnt track down the creators of alot of the "good" ones. In my personal opinion there is maybe 5 pics in this whole book that really made me laugh.. and one of the greatest LOLCats, "MONORAIL CAT", got a tiny little spot on one of the pages.. with a bunch of monorail cat wanna-bees on there with him.. and they werent even funny..

To conclude I think this book missed the mark.. If they couldnt get permission to print the pics that made this whole thing what it is, they shouldnt have made one at all. Its like a kids book, hell they even cut out half of the caption on "Ceiling Cat".. Come on guys, this isnt for 12 year olds.. Your better off sticking to the website if you want the real and funny LOLCats.. This book is a testament to the crappy copyright laws of this country.. Besides, even if they printed some of them without "purrmission", how could someone possibly prove they are the original creator of "Invisible Sandwich" anyway???

As a fan of icanhascheezburger.com, I was eagerly awaiting the release of their first book. I was not disappointed when I received my copy last Friday.

This is not a ginormous coffee table book. I actually love the compact size of it, because it fits nicely into my purse. So when I find myself stuck at some boring place, such as in line at the Department of Motor Vehicles, or in the doctor's waiting room, I can pull this out, look at teh LOLZ, and it makes me happy.

I plan to order more copies to give as gifts for my LOLcat loving friends.

Teh lolcats on teh interwebs are SOOOO much funnier than the lolcats in the book. I regularly laugh so hard my stomach hurts at the lolcats on the website, but this book only got a couple of chuckles out of me. This was a big waste of money - I'd do better just perusing my favorites on the site.

The book is like the website- some of it is funny, some of it is not. If you aren't impressed, at least you didn't spend a lot of money on this book.

I love the LOLcats and often at least one in the daily email I will find either clever or bizarre enough to save. I was excited that they had put out a book. But these are not clever, nor bizarre. I got maybe 2 smiles out of the whole book, whereas the occasional LOLcat from teh site will make me actually laugh out loud (my favorite is probably invisible sandwich, which makes me laugh for no reason I can explain). This book just feels dumbed down (I realize that may seem impossible, but those who appreciate the website will know what I mean).

I suspect they geared the selections for the book to fit a wide range of people who would not frequent the website, and would certainly never come up with a clever LOLcat themselves. It feels more like a kids' book, or an "oooooh, kitties are cute" book, than a documentation of the web-born oddity that is the LOLcat.

It may be one out of a hundred of these things that make me laugh, so unless I am editing this book (and I didn't), I cannot imagine that this would be worth buying. Per a previous review, this seems to be full of the ones that make your stomach turn in disgust and shame for having looked at a LOLCat to begin with.

I will continue to frequent the web site and will leave my money in my wallet where it belongs. Yeah, not even a gag-gift would warrant purchasing this.

I cannot do LOL cat speak well either, but my kitteh is a very spoiled kitteh and her dream is to make it to the next version of this book.

A wonderful book that belongs on every cat lovers shelf, nothing more than beautiful pictures and cat speak. So don't try to find any meaning in it...just enjoy enjoy.....and be ready to smile and laugh out loud by these feline capers and LOL cat speak.

Nearly every page of this book is packed FULL of win! I lold HARD. I missed a day of work after I got it because I just could not put the book down long enough to quit loling. yeah... it's that good.

I LOVE icanhascheezburger. I check it every day, and nearly every day I replace one funny cat wallpaper with another one. So I was really looking forward to this book. I Save lots of pictures, and only 2 of dozens I've saved are in this book. Most are not funny, most of the cats are not even cute. Who designed this book??? I think they put together pictures that are not-funny, not-cute, but pictures whose owners would allow them to be reprinted. Maybe it was a big cosmic (not-funny) joke. VERY DISAPPPOINTED.

(Sorry, I don't type lolcat very well, so I'm sticking to normal person) I was so freaking excited when I saw that this was coming out that I pre-ordered it and was even more excited when it actually showed up. Of course my plan was to just browse it and enjoy it over time, but I read it front to back and then back to front. I luvz me sum lolcats!

Anyone who spends much time surfing aimlessly around the Internet over the last two years has probably stumbled upon at least one "lolcat" image. These benign and fearlessly adorable images combine serendipitous photos of pets with superimposed, bolded captions that act as humorous narrative, observation, or dialogue for the animal (Typically an average house cat). The captions themselves, while understandable as English, take sweeping liberties in spelling, grammar and syntax, becoming a cousin of baby-talk. Much like single-panel comic strips, the humor is immediate, safe for most ages, and usually charming. It's very much like Mystery Science Theater 3000 for photography. The popularity of lolcat has risen to such heights that you're now reading a review of a real book filled with these captioned photos. What times we live in!

This book is one of the first of its kind: A commercially published collection of artwork inspired by an Internet meme. Contained within are 200+ high resolution full color lolcat images in no particular order printed on glossy paper. As a coffee table photography book, it fits right in. At only $8 to $10, it's just the right price for so many vivid photos at your fingertips. My only disappointments with the book are that some introductory material wasn't included. There's no forward or history of the meme for the uninitiated and some of the classic lolcats which fans might look for in this collection are missing. Monorail and Ceiling Cat are here, but the original Basement Cat, "Has a flavor" Cat, Limecat, Invisible Bike Cat and others are noticeably absent. I understand rights to any published image had to be acquired first and I can imagine it's totally impossible to find the original artist in some cases, but it just doesn't feel like a complete collection without those classic lolcats. What can you do.

Bottom line, "I Can Has Cheezburger?" is a fantastic and uniquely original picture book for fans of the meme as well as animal lovers who know in their hearts that their cats can talk. Hopefully more volumes will be produced as every day, more and more lolcat images are made with ever-increasing humor! Yes, Happy Cat, you can has cheezburger. Mai treet.

Not only do these objectionable fools seem to openly gloat about their illiteracy, but some other, equally execrable low IQ cretin has, in a bid to make a fast buck, published their rampant idiocy.
