(Hide Review...)  Very disappointing.

I picked this book up because I was familiar with Bugliosi's work and I am usually very impressed by it. Although I thought his position was a stretch, I was hoping for a well structured and stimulating argument. I was particularly hoping for a strong Constitutional argument supporting his thesis, since there are several glaring problems with the idea of prosecuting Bush (which he totally ignores). I was thoroughly disappointed. Although he had lots of factual evidence, it was totally lost in his childish outbursts. I was expecting a professional document (although I knew it wouldn't be impartial; how could it be?), but it was anything but. Bugliosi resorts to name calling not only Bush and his aides, but his readers as well. How can he expect anyone to take him seriously when he calls the rest of us stupid? I also got thouroughly sick of the self-agrandizement; yes he has had a very distinguished career, but this book is not the place to brag about his accomplishments. And his telling us that he was the only one who saw what a mistake the war was from the beginnig, among other things, was ridiculous. A huge part of the book seemed to be an inflation of his own ego. His message was thouroughly lost in the poor delivery. It is not worth reading; you will be very disappointed if you are hoping for a professional, intelligent, readable book. I had an hard time finishing; in the end I only finished to ensure that my negative review was fair.

A wonderful and insightful book. I'm curious, however, to know why Big Oil was not mentioned as a motive to go to war in Iraq. Also Sadam's attempt on George Bush, Sr.'s life.

When I selected this book I was hoping for a reasonable, logical, structured argument supporting the prosecution of George W. Bush for murder, as the title suggests! Adding to my hope was that the author is an attorney, a former prosecuting attorney, who, according to the jacket, is highly regarded among his colleagues.

Instead, this book was a hate filled emotion based argument against the policy of George W. Bush and Iraq. It could have been written by the family of any of our soldiers wounded or killed in Iraq. Mr. Bugliosi seems to base his entire argument on the fact that President Bush lied to the public before engaging in the war. While I don't disagree with him, that does not make a case for murder. The President is the commander in chief who, unless there is something I am unaware of, has the authority to send the US military to fight. I don't recall his having to provide a reason that is suitable to all of us. That he lied to garner support does not make a case for murder.

I was hoping that, while making his case, Mr. Bugliosi would provide case law, cases in point, international law, the elements for the accused offenses, etc. I was greatly disappointed.

(Hide Review...)  A lot of questions for Mr. Bugliosi???????????????????
Reviewer Permalink
Hello:

This is a very good book, very interesting, logical, emotional and a well written book. Mr. Bugliosi goes into a lot of depth and detail in certain areas. Certain comments, examples and explanations are factual, accurate and are true. But certain other comments and explanations, I have some skepticism about.

Mr. Bugliosi states that Bush lied to millions of unexpecting Americans when Bush had given his speech and "implied" that Saddam Hussein was an imminent threat. Although, Mr. Bugliosi explains that Bush did not directly say that Hussein is an imminent threat, Mr. Bugliosi explains that Bush used other words that equate to the same meaning as Hussein being an imminent threat.

Mr. Bugliosi explains that 6 days before Bush had given this speech that Bush was informed by 16 intelligence agencies including the CIA that Hussein was not an imminent threat. Although, it does seem as if Bush lied, what happened within those 6 days? Although highly unlikely and remotely possible could something have transpired within those 6 days that could equate to Bush being candid when he had given that speech?

Mr. Bugliosi seems like a very good, wonderful, decent person. He is a brillant, rational, and logical person. A very deep person, analytical, strong minded and strong willed, book smart and street smart. He has a very high intellect level, very intellectual, and very well spoken, very articulate, very bold and very brave.

He also is a famous person, a legend, a great prosecutor, attorney, and author. He is world renowned and his most famous case is the Charles Manson case.

Mr. Bugliosi has given a lot of information on You Tube, in his book and
elsewhere etc. Obviously, part of the reason is to try and get a prosecutor to bring Bush, Cheney, Rice etc,etc up on first degree murder charges.

But by giving this amount of information, this forwarns the defense. This within itself could compromise part of the prosecution at the least. Most criminal trials the prosecutor or prosecutors and the defense attorney or defense attorneys are usually very carefull on what, and how much, and when the information is revealed and submitted. Although, in a sense it's rational and logical what Mr. Bugliosi is doing, but in another sense it's questionable in regard to forwarning the defense.

What does Mr. Bugliosi have to say about this?

Anyway, if what Mr. Bugliosi has said is factual, accurate and the truth,
then these people need to be brought to justice.

Mr. Bugliosi has sent a copy of his book with a cover letter to all 50 State Attorney Generals of the United States of America. I wonder which Attorney Generals he thinks would be more likely to bring up first degree murder charges on Bush, Cheney, Rice, etc, etc?

Those American and Iraqi people and other people who have been hurt and killed it's terrible, horrible, sad, sickening, upsetting, frustrating, angersome and wrong.

Stay Strong, Be Safe, Stay Healthy, Take Care!

Joe,

Bye.

I thought I was getting a well-reasoned argument by a seasoned prosecutor stating facts and building a clear case against GW.

That's not this book. I gave up reading it about 1/2 way through. It is nothing but a lot of ranting and raving and lots of opinion and no hard facts. A complete waste of time and money, don't buy it.

My future son-in-law, Kenny Rojas, was killed by an IED in Bayji,Iraq on October 29,2005. He was 21. I read a Stephen Spender poem at his closed-casket funeral.
His death destroyed his family and devastated ours. Believe me, there is NO ONE who would like to see George W. Bush prosecuted for murder more than I. Kenny's death was a direct result of the President's lies.
The title of Bugliosi's book--THE PROSECUTION OF GEORGE W. BUSH FOR MURDER--is astonishing. When I first saw the book at a Cheboygan, Michigan book store, I couldn't believe my eyes. The initial shock of recognition in terms of justice was tempered by the disbelief that a publisher would dare go with that title. Anyway, I applaud the courage of Vincent Bugliosi to write it and the publisher to publish it.
My problem is that the book was not as effective as it could have been had a good editor gotten a hold of it. Bugliosi's writing is, at times,
unfocused, ranting, and repetitive. I'm reminded of Truman Capote's maxim that a writer must exhaust the emotion in himself before he tries to evoke it in the reader.

(Hide Review...)  Excellent exercise in advocacy
Reviewer Permalink
Mr. Bugliosi's book is in the best tradition of American trial lawyers. Trial lawyers are advocates who put their best case forward ignoring arguments to the contrary. Mr. Bugliosi skilfully blends his invective with an alluring mixture of criminal and civil legal concepts that sound persuasive to the nontechnical reader, particularly those who hate the president. The concept that "no man is above the law" is a beautiful, inspiring, sound byte, but to follow Mr. Bugliosi's practice of seeing what is plain, simply isn't true and never has been. Claiming that the Supreme Court of the United States committed a "great crime" by ignoring Florida law and giving the presidency to Bush sounds like sour grapes. The Supreme Court is not only free to ignore state laws, it has the power to overrule them, and has exercised that power since the early decades of the 19th century. Those who agree with the decisions applaud this exercise of power; those who do not agree talk about usurpation (remember those "Impeach Earl Warren" signs?

For those who think Mr. Bugliosi has an airtight case, I urge them to get a county attorney to indict President Bush (murder, after all, is a state crime, not a federal one) and see what happens next.

The best chapter is the last in which Mr. Bugliosi discusses the changes he has seen in the United States since he was young. I agree with him on many of his points. While on the one hand we purport to have become kindler and gentler, there seems to be an iron fist in the velvet glove. I have my own opinions about why this has happened but that goes beyond a review of the book.

This book is worth reading, but remember it is pure advocacy and, as judges always tell juries, keep an open mind and wait until all the evidence is in.

This book was excellent in both content and presentation. It was an easy read and invoked several emotions. It really made you take a long look at this administration and also the political process in America, especially with this current presidential race. I would recommend this book to anyone who is concerned with the world we live in as it relates to American politics and how it affects our lives.

I think it should be said that Bugliosi's fame is rooted almost entirely in his prosecution of Charles Manson and his acolytes. And that the thrust of his argument in that trial was that the Manson murders were part and parcel of Charles Manson's delusional efforts to start a race war with himself coming out of it as the tyrant/messiah. That was what the jury was told, and what Bugliosi related in his book HELTER SKELTER. Manson and his followers certainly deserved their guilty verdicts, and Manson did bat around such ideas for sure. But it's been revealed since that what was really at the root of the murders was Manson getting revenge on those in the music business who had thwarted his ambitions as a pop star (the Sharon Tate house and the house next door to the LaBiancas' had formerly housed those who'd rejected Manson's music). Whether Bugliosi knew this background and ignored it because the "race war" info would more easily sway the jury, or if he failed in his research I don't know. But Bugliosi--for whatever reason--did fall short on the facts, and after I learned that I looked on anything he's written (including this book) with a very jaundiced eye. (Get the 10/08 issue of the British music magazine Mojo for a capsule rundown of a bit of the "failed musician" aspect of the Manson murders. Also read Truman Capote's interview with Bobby Beausoleil in A CAPOTE READER to see where else Bugliosi got the facts wrong about the Manson murders.)

I think this is a book every true American should read. It is not an easy read, since the author often refers to court cases, that most of us are not aware of. There is only one statement that I think needs much more research by the author, Vincent Begulosi, and that is who caused the 9/11 disaster. Mr. Begulosi should consult Michael Moore, and several other folks as to what REALLY caused the twin towers collapse. It is a book I would, nonetheless, recommend that everyone should read.

Wow! I read this after Philip Marshall's False Flag 911 and can only ask why Bugliosi and Marshall haven't compared notes. The books were paired together for sale on Amazon but I saw no mention of each other in the books. Marshall has the evidence needed to prosecute and Bugliosi has the motivation but seems unable to find the evidence to convince a prosecutor or an attorney general. Perhaps the books' agents should arrange a meeting of the two authors.

At any rate, they were both great reads and come highly recommended. Thank you Mr. Bugliosi for having the courage to produce this work.

A good writer, yes. Well researched, yes. Fun to read, no.

Too much hate and "piling on" in my opinion.

Several times I just had to set the book aside because of over emphasis, too many examples or just plain venom spewing from the pen of the author.

Despite his protests, the author comes across and pretty self-absorbed.

I find myself using info from the book in discussions, but I did not enjoy the read...and will avoid this author in the future...I read it because of my positive experience with Helter Skelter...

I despise President Bush, but I am finished with this author...just over the top by a mile, probably truthful, and correct, but too much hammering.

... is someone willing to write a book like this. My hat goes off in respect to Mr. Bugliosi.

I found this book to be very, very disturbing. We Americans have allowed the Bush administration to put a horrible black mark on the American nation.

I highly recommend this book to everyone.

Having said the above, I'd like to add a few comments about places I struggled with the book:

1. I found the writing style to be a bit puzzling ... that is, until I imagined that I was sitting in a court room listening to Mr. Bugliosi present his case. The book flowed much more smoothly for me after this.

2. Make make sure you read the End Notes. The copy of the book I had made no references to the End Notes, so I had read through several chapters before I discovered them.

3. Respectfully, I had a problem with one of the arguments that Mr. Bugliosi presents. I may have misunderstood his argument, but (again respectfully) I think his logic is off.

In his Chapter notes to Chapter 2, Mr. Bugliosi states that Saddam Hussein would never "do something [like attack America] that would only serve to assure his annihilation ..." and that such an idea as "... too ludicrous to even contemplate." (p. 260).

My issue isn't with Saddam Hussein, but with Mr. Bugliosi's logic. My point is that this is not a valid argument. People consistently engage in behavior that can cause their annihilation. (Think about all the smokers around the world.)

When I worked as a forensic counselor, I had the opportunity to work with several true sadists and sociopaths. Each one was very intelligent, and each one would consistently do incredibly stupid things that would get them in trouble.

I imagine that as an accomplished attorney, Mr. Bugliosi has worked with many more sociopaths and people with personality disorders than I have. Which makes me even more surprised that he used this line of reasoning.

Furthermore, although Saddam would not have had access to the information at the time, it is not a given that attacking the U.S. means annihilation. Consider Osama Bin Laden.

In light of the overwhelming evidence that Mr. Bugliosi offers in this book, this argument is not critical to the conclusions he draws about President Bush (conclusions that I completely agree with).

The danger I see in the line of reasoning Mr. Bugliosi uses here is that the exact same (again incorrect, in my view) argument could be used to defend President Bush. Mr. Bugliosi points out that there is no statute of limitations for murder. Therefore, anyone defending Bush can say, "President Bush would never violate as many laws as Mr. Bugliosi says he did, because (to paraphrase Mr. Bugliosi), "The notion that President Bush would do something that would only serve to ensure his annihilation is too ludicrous to even contemplate."

4. There were several instances of Mr. Bugliosi using "he" to refer to both men and women. I struggled with this wording especially when he used "he" in reference to the U.S. troops who have died in Iraq. Women soldiers have died as well. (To be fair, as an author I also struggle with she, he, s/he limitations of our English language. But still ...)

5. On page 68, Mr. Bugliosi writes, "FOr some reason, although the death of Iraqi civilians in the war is always distressing to me, I take the reports of American soldiers being killed in Iraq much harder.

For me, it's exactly the opposite.

I am always more horrified by civilian deaths for, as tragic as the U.S. soldiers deaths are/were, the soldiers at least chose to be there. Civilians have no choice, which makes their deaths even more tragic.

To be clear, I'm not saying Mr. Bugliosi is wrong (or evil or bad or ...) to hold his opinion. Nor do I hold these words up as a criticism of his book. I just see things differently.

6. Finally, I disagree with Mr. Bugliosi's opinion that President Bush should receive the death penalty. As horrific as the things that President Bush did, I, unlike President Bush, oppose the death penalty. Mr. Bush should be sentenced to life in prison in the general prison system.

I did very much appreciate Mr. Bugliosi's explanation of complex legal issues in a way that I as a lay person could understand them. As I read the book, I found myself curious to know what strategy Mr. Bugliosi would suggest in order to avoid a future president from pardoning Mr. Bush (should he indeed be brought to trial). I would hate to see a replay of President Ford's pardoning of Richard Nixon.

Again, these 6 points are where I struggled with Mr. Bugliosi's book. Overall, I agreed with this premise, was shocked at his compilation of facts, and outraged at the acts of the current administration.

I would highly recommend this book to any interested reader ... which should be every voter in America.

Thank you again, Mr. Bugliosi, for standing up for American values.

You are a true patriot.

Bugliosi knows evil, but even he has underestimated George Bush and the small company of advisors who made him do it. But he has also underestimated the pervasiveness of the evil--call it "prideful ignorance"--that he's so eager to prosecute.

The devastation to our own country in terms of own troops--their irreversible injuries and psychological damage; the ravaging of the women, children and civilians of Iraq (the term "suicide bomber" was unknown there until we created a reason for it, after which the mere shouting of the term caused thousands of Sufis on their way to Mosque to leap off a bridge to their deaths); the bankrupting of America spiritually, morally, and economically--all to apprehend a homeless hoodlum in a hole (whose intelligence at least stood up alongside our own leader's)--all because of lies, lies, and more lies. No 9/11 and Iraq connection, no Saddam and 9/11 relation, no tolerance of informed advisors with a different POV (Richard Clarke), no greeting of the American White Knights as heroic rescuers and saviors, no cheap oil--still people want to believe, and this administration and its sycophants (who try to call themselves "mavericks") will exploit that naive, sadly misplaced trust, even proclaiming Mission Accomplished where there is none. No one will mention the obvious--the expense of the Iraq invasion (funded by Chinese loans) and its connection with the collapse of our economy. And just as the loan sharks couldn't help but perpetuate the myth that everyone could afford a $500,000 home, the new-moneyed powers of the Eastern world were convinced that American consumerism would continue to repay in huge sums of interest the money they decided to throw at America's banks who passed it on to the mortgage lenders who passed it on to the consumers.

Dante was right about usurers in the Cantos of the Inferno, and so was Ezra Pound in his own great Cantos (though he was deluded to think that one religion or group of people had a monopoly on usury). But Russ Feingold, Obama and Jimmy Carter (unlike Hillary, Biden and Kerry and many other normally sane individuals) did not vote to support our leader's mandate to engage in this vain and hideous act of transgression, proven again and again throughout history to be wrong. It doesn't matter how false the testimony of our leader: the act in itself was transparently corrupt from the beginning and would not have been supported by any person of integrity (a winnable war against hatred?). For that reason, Bugliosi overstates his case.

The American people deserved what they got, doubly so after the 2004 election. Rather than persecute a scapegoat, far better they do some soul-searching, however unflattering the results. Our capitalistic system run amok, our consumer culture, and our educational institutions (when did hot-button issues, hardened positions, and ideologies and religious affiliations replace the Socratic principles of learning?) are what failed us. To prosecute a pusillanimous president is tantamount to elevating Saddam, a two-bit thug, to the role of the Anti-Christ. As Young Goodman Brown discovered, it's not necessary to leave Salem to locate Satanic revelry; as Flannery O'Connor's characters soon learn, "good and pious" Americans make serial killers look like saints by comparison; as Faulkner's fallen klan of a grand chivalric order discover, their pure, undefiled, exalted and separatist order was tragically flawed from the outset, an achromatic world removed from the prismatic colors that are our nation's strength.

We don't need a prosecution or a surrender. A confession would be a first step.

The legal framework for the prosecution is set up by Bugliosi in Chapter 4. He begins by citing numerous journalists and other public figures critical of the president for "'false selling of' and 'railroading us into' the Iraq war," then marvels that virtually none of these critics goes on to advocate any legal punishment whatsoever--as if the president had merely dissembled about the weather. For the crime of intentionally misleading the nation into war--and thus knowingly "bringing about" the wrongful deaths of Americans--Bugliosi shows that after January 20, 2009, Bush can be and should be prosecuted for murder. The author then discusses the legal terminology for what constitutes first degree and second degree murder, and why the former applies to the president and his active coconspirators.

This is a concise report on the criminality of George W.Bush in the Iraq War. If this were actually a case in a courtroom there would be a conviction.

This book should be read by ALL Americans. It's a real eye opener. The time line is excellent. ALL Congressmen and Representatives should be forced to read it. But if you put the book on their desk it would be lost in the bribe money.

I'm over the half-way mark and cannot put this book down. You might think this is some fanciful reverie or fantasy that compels with a title only but you'd be mistaken. I just know I would not want this pit bull of a prosecuter up against me for the crime of murder, and I certainly wouldnt want to trade places with George W. Bush at this stage. I already have a bet that, in one year from now (9-22-08), a trial date for murder will be given to W. Bush. His trial is imminent. Hope you read this, G.W. hehehe I love it!!!!!

Vincent Bugliosi, writes a great narrative of the Bush Administration and his deplorable, criminal behavior.
The book makes the case that his actions were not just a case of malfeasance in high office, but a series of deliberate attempts to conceal truths and to mislead our nation into the war in Iraq. This may be unpleasant for some, but it needs to be presented like this, least we forget what he has wrought. Maybe this book will help Americans understand what really has happened, and then maybe we will never let this happen again.

Bugliosi makes a very good case to prosecute Dubya for high crimes. Although not a lawyer, I found his arguments reasonable and well supported.

However, one question the prosecutor never answered is one I believe is fundamental to most cases - motive. Why did Bush do what he did? If all the evidence is so compelling that his adminstration led America into an illegal and ill-conceived war, why? I kept waiting for the answer, but it never came.

Also, Bugliosi has the benefit of history to make his arguments. His rants against the press and citizens regarding their support and "free pass" they gave to Bush are based on knowing what we do now. It's easy to look back over the past 7 years and see we (the gullible public) screwed up, but the evidence was much thinner when Bush was feeding everybody his lies.

And therein possibly lies Bush's biggest and most egregious crime - lying to the people he was supposed to lead and protect and hence manipulating them into fulfilling his misguided ambitions.

Although Bugliosi chides the "nuts" who claim Bush planned 9/11, one could not make a better case for it than he has by listing irrefutible words and deeds, never giving credence to the elephant on the table. I now wonder if Bush was stupidly vacationing at Crawford, or secretly running his empire.

The Prosecution of George W Bush for Murder
By Vincent Bugliosi
Published by Perseus Publishing
352 pages.

This latest offering from California's literary lawyer, certainly stokes the passions of its readers. But then it would, wouldn't it? A detailed exposé of an unpopular president during an election year coupled with a very unpopular war was bound to fire-up aggrieved Democrats and all those who are anti everything else. It would be churlish to suggest that that might have been its intention.

Mr Bugliosi is a man of many talents. He is an acclaimed and accomplished criminal layer with significant successes to his credit. He is a successful politician. He writes New York Times best sellers. But most of all, he has almost frightening singleness of purpose. Once he gets into something, he is like a dog with a bone.

All of these talents and character traits come together in `The Prosecution of George W Bush for Murder', to very good effect.

Fundamentally, Bugliosi's premise is that for reasons unknown (Bugliosi never offers a motive for the alleged offence), George Bush conspired with others to fabricate a justification for a shooting war with Iraq resulting in the unlawful killing of 4000 American soldiers.

The book is a courtroom drama. The first act is a summation to the jury. Bugliosi uses his best endeavours to prepare them (readers), for the evidence to come by destroying the President's character. The second act provides the ... who said what, and when did they say it, narrative. The final act rubbishes the Bush Administration generally, and those closest to the President in particular.

If you believe that all Republicans are pond-slime, and GWB is the slimiest of them all, you will enjoy these 352 pages. But if you are of a more balanced persuasion, you will be mindful of the fact that it is written by a rabid Democrat, with an unquenchable thirst for celebrity.

Regardless of the amusement value of the work, it is based on a false premise. The President took the country (and 32 other countries), to war, of that there can be no doubt. The question is not the effect, but the cause. Mr.Bugliosi does not know the reason why the President took the USA to war. And the President does not have to tell him or anyone else why he did what he did. And that is why an indictment for murder would fail. George Bush would only have to confirm his name to the court; every other question would inadmissible on the grounds of National Security. Mr.Bugliosi knows that perfectly well.

Bugliosi's compilation of the evidence is strikingly impressive. His attention to detail deserves the cover price alone. But where he falls down, and I suggest looses his readers, is his uncontrollable need to insult everybody. He refers to Condoleezza Rice as a water-carrier. Bush and everyone working for him are `pusillanimous small men'. I shall spare the reader other, and more offensive invective. Once you start abusing the accused, your case is lost.

If you believe - as Vincent Bugliosi does, that George W. Bush is a heartless criminal who sacrifices American youth with reckless abandon, then this work should find a place on your shelf.

I will end by suggesting that you look at pictures of George Bush when he was elected, and look at him now. He has aged 25 years. After reading Bugliosi's book, you might be astonished by this, as he informs us that ol' George spends all his time on holiday having fun, and doesn't give a thought to the misery of grieving parents - or anything else come to that.

I didnt particularly like the book even though i have no love for George Bush or his administration. I was hoping for a straightforward case being laid out about the crimes of Bush. Although there is that in this book Buglosi spends too much time attacking Bush. His approach would never be allowed in a court of law.

People who criticize him don't want the truth, they want to be told what they want to hear. Wake up America!!!!

I know so many books are out there critiquing the administration on Iraq, but Bugliosi just obliterates the arguments the administration presented in justifying the Iraq war...from its dogmatic neocon certitude, to its being duped by Chalabi, to its establishing rogue intel services within the Pentagon and Cheney's office to spin the intel to its liking(when CIA, State Dep't intel refused to toe the administration line), to a discussion on the administration's reliance upon totally discredited "Curveball" second-hand testimony, to the bogus and forged Niger documents purporting to show Saddam intended to purchase uranium, to how the administration released an "unclassified" version of the classified NIE intel assessment on Iraq that EXCLUDED THE NUMEROUS DISSENTS to its conclusions(and which caused Senator Bob Graham, one of the few senators to read the ENTIRE classified report(not just the administration's disingenuous unclassified version)to conclude he could not vote to authorize military force on Iraq.

I was more impressed with Bugliosi's refutation of the arguments the administration utilized in ginning up this war, than with his arguments calling for Bush to be prosecuted for murder, altho it would be a horrible blight on our nation if Bush and company are not held accountable for this disaster.

As an independent, it is apparent Bugliosi comes at this from a liberal democrat perspective.

But even so, any American who cares for his nation cannot read Bugliosi's masterful dismantling of the arguments posed by the administration to justify this war without being totally enraged.

Last week I hear Rep John Conyers, Chair of House Judiciary Committee, give a speech about working with the Department of Justice to raise charges against the Bush Administration. He indicated a willingness to work with Mr. Bugliosi in actually following through with a domestic criminal prosecution of all the GOP officials who manufactured lies that lead to so many deaths.

Incidentally, many GOP officials (including Karl Rove, Rice, etc) may be prosecuted in the International Court of Human Rights, and the International War Crimes Court. After they become private citizens in January, they may be subject to arrest if they step foot outside US soil.

We need to stop pussy-footing around the cold hard fact that this party, and these individuals, are war criminals.

Mr Bugliosi, please actually help in the raising of charges and the prosecution of these people. We do not want our American history to be tarnished with the legacy of mass murdering war criminals. And you're the guy to do it! So much depends on this...

This is the SINGLE BEST BOOK I have read in the last 10 years (the other contender is "Was The 2004 Election Stolen?" by Professor Steve Freeman and Joel Bleifuss), and every thinking, caring American owes it to themselves to read it. Vincent Bugliosi is a patriot of the highest order, and this book is a first-rate work of logic, reason, and integrity. Pay no attention to those reviewers who are panning this book--it's interesting to note that they never take on any of Bugliosi's arguments head-on (because they can't), but rather resort to name-calling and slander. Please do not miss reading this masterpiece.

Mr Bugliosi has written a 5-Star book which I rate 4-Star. The reason for this is, I believe, that there is another determining factor for why Bush committed murder that the author, for whatever reasons of his own, failed to discuss and omitted when such a factor is of utmost importance.

This factor is militant Zionism:

Bush vowed (admission into Skull and Bones Society, Yale University) that he would protect "the Jewish Nation". This was long before he ever swore to protect and defend the US Constitution. I maintain one cannot do both and that Bush favored his earlier oath.
Further, Bush's knowledge of international affairs extends to the confines of the Crawford Ranch, in the Republic of Texas, and his acumen in such dealings borders on moronic. He therefore abdicated his dealings in international relations to Cheney and Rumsfeld. This he felt was proper because he had a lot of brush burning to do in the Crawford fiefdom at the outset of his presidency. He did however, either knowingly or criminally and negligently, act as a party in the conspiracy of Cheney, Rumsfeld, Perle and Wolfowitz (there were others, of course)to start a war with Iraq which would benefit him because: a)he wanted that war, b)oil and c)the war was something that Israel wanted.
Thus, I think, Mr Bugliosi failed to also prosecute Bush for his part in a treasonous and murderous criminal conspiracy.*SIGNED* The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder

I enjoyed this book so very much because it gave me hope that George W. Bush will pay for what he has done to our great country. The book is written extremely well for non-legal minds to enjoy and to understand and best of all, to hope.

Bugliosi makes a convincing case that the President took us to war for reasons other than what he told the American people. We were told that war was justified because Iraq not only possessed WMD but could attack America on any given day. The Bush administration ignored all evidence to the contrary and presented evidence from sources that CIA, French, and German experts had declared obviously suspect. We went to war because George Bush wanted to, and over 4000 Americans, and over 100,000 Iraqis have died.

We're all a bit tired of this by now. I'm tired of writing, and in spots the book gets a little tiring.

But, this is important stuff. Just read it.

If we impeach him he will leave the presidency in shame and go home to Crawford TX and live the rest of his Life Rich and happy. This Book tells you how any District Attorney or Prosecutor in the United States can take George W. Bush to court after leaves the presidency. I Highly recommend this book.
